To be fair, the spider hybrid had managed to get himself tangled up in his own webs, he is entirely justified in being highly amused. The spiderling is even upside-down, much akin to footage he had seen where the spider's victims were left behind in a similar manner.

"Just a bit." He muses, smirk playing at his lips as he enjoys the show. Alas, not all joys can last forever and with a flick of his wrist, he cuts the web with a few well aimed daggers, leaving Peter to crash to the ground gracelessly.

"Hey kiddo! You got a MINUTE?" Visiting other universes was honestly one of Peter's favorite things. There was just something so EXCITING about coming to a whole new world, and seeing all the different ways that is is different!! Sure he could marvel at the similarities but that was never as exciting to him.

"I was hoping if you were free you could maybe show me around?" Peter tried his best to at least visit and get to know some of the newer spider-people they had been recruiting. He was TECHNICALLY a founding member after all. Not that he EVER went around telling people that. Last thing he needed was someone thinking he was in charge in ANY way.

would you say there's an important person in their life?

ㅤyes! a few, scattered across various verses, who i have talked about before but always love gushing about and the list has grown since the last time i did, so!! let me do a rundown, just for fun:

♡ sol (@lee-sol), their boyfriend and best friend, who understands them, has incredible patience with them, and makes them feel cared for and important in a way they never have before. hands down the best thing that's ever happened to them, they're genuinely not sure what they could have done to possibly deserve him. (they don't think they deserve him.)

♡ peter (@wbslngr), their long lost, separated at birth twin brother (in a verse separate from their main, of course) who, despite being very different from them in a lot of ways, shares a good amount of similarities as well. he enables a lot of their more chaotic behaviour and kind of gets bullied by them, but they'd kick anyone's ass for talking shit about him.

♡ lena (@chronal-anomaly), who allowed them into her life despite not needing to, who dragged them back in when they tried to make a run for it, and has since become their unofficially-official big sister. she's done so much for them, from encouraging them to join the track team and apply for college, to giving them a safe place to sleep when they need it and making them feel loved. literally changed their life.

♡ ardaka (@apexulansis), who took them on as a student (and eventual roommate) when they kind of barged their way in and told him he should teach them how to be a bounty hunter. they get each other in ways that i don't think either of them expected, and he's provided them somewhere more constructive to funnel their energy and fondness for violence and knives. they feel safe around him, and don't feel like they're being judged for who they are. also, he literally teaches them how best to stab and lets them use swords, so??? obviously he's cool.

"ㅤthe scoff they exhale is really more of a snort.ㅤ" s'kinda funny, honestly — on the one hand, we're complete opposites, but on the other... in like, some smaller, more subtle ways, we have a lot more in common than i realized at first. we haven't really known each other that long, but i'm still noticin' that he's got some little habits that aren't so different from ones i've got. maybe that's jus' an inherent twin thing? i dunno. "ㅤfrowning slightly, they shake it off in a matter of seconds. this isn't relevant to describing peter.

“ if you poke one of my eyes, i swear... ” he says, parking himself right in front of them. the threat- if you can even call it that- is empty, he knows that their makeup skills are good, and they're the only person he'd trust with a task like this. not that he'd say it out loud. “ i don't understand makeup, so you have to explain to me what you're doing. just in case i wanna one up you one day, and take my skills to the next level. ”
