Meet Solace 'Lacey' Luné, a DnD character I will probably never get to use but also desperately want to
The design I based her around will be under the cut
Tumblr media
This is a really old random palette challenge I dug up recently and I wanted to reuse the design in some way, so I modified it and Lacey was born :)

Little kitty meow meow // Blessed by the Deities of the Night is Orion the Star Bearer, protector of his village and a teacher of the hunt //
A silence bears over him as he holds his thoughts still; perched upon the yew branches. The constellations within his crystal blade shimmer in the moonlight as he locks eyes with a young deer. Her gaze is relaxed as she lazily grazes by the lakeside glade, seemingly comforted by his presence. She knows he means no harm to her, after all, the stars told her so.

Tales from the Great Library
The Journal of Brother Taedhor:
Tumblr media
Arcana, Lady Lore
Arcana is goddess of knowledge and intellect. Her influence extends over all manner of fact and reason, including history, language, natural sciences, reading, writing, and mathematics. Thoroughly imperial in origin, Arcana is the twin sister of Arcanos, god of magic. From ancient times the siblings have been identified with the constellation of the Divine Twins.
As Master of Magic, Arcanos was most closely associated with the authority of arcane emperors, while Arcana was identified as the organizing genius behind the Arcane Senate. Over the millennium since the Fall, however, Arcanos’ role has diminished while Arcana’s as only grown.
In legend she more active in youth, paying regular visits on other gods to provide instruction and receive it. Lofty-aloof Nimbro was so impressed with her acumen that he revealed the secrets of the stars and their patterns to Arcana, entrusting astrology into her keeping. He also bestowed the owl upon her as a companion. Such an open show of favoritism on behalf of the sky god convinces many that Nimbro is the Divine Twin's father.
Lady Lore is also associated with the dispassionate god Lhor who, as god of justice, must consult Arcana when facts are in question. Some tales suggest Arcana is infatuated with the Divine Judge, but he does not return her interest. His brothers, Daelin and Gwaerdan, have both attempted to woo Lady Lore in their time, and while she agreed to set Rede and Rite into writing for the former, rejected the latter out of hand.
In one story the Lord of Luck is the only god crafty enough to steal Arcana's kiss. He did not escape without consequence, however. Lady Lore cursed Fergus with baldness for a year. When Elenae came of age to marry Arcana accompanied her brother to Mordan's house, there presenting his suit for the girl's hand. Arcana surprised one an all by offering her own suit, as well, leading many to suspect that Lady Lore is lesbian. Elenae rejected both of the twins in the end but only Arcana took offense at the slight, refusing to interact with Lady Love thereafter.
A significant change in Arcana’s character begins when dark gods murder the Master of Mirth. Upon hearing the news of Selorin’s death, Lady Lore withdrew into her home and has refused to emerge since. She also stopped speaking at this time, inventing writing as a means of communicating with others. Even after Selorin was restored to life and came to visit her Arcana steadfastly maintains silence -- aside from rare occasions on which she hums the songs Selorin made for her.
Invariably depicted as a tall, slender, dark-haired woman robed in gray, Arcana’s eyes are said to be pale, keen, and bright, able to gaze over any distance while seeing perfect detail, and piercing disguises, deceptions, and illusions of every kind. The owl remains her animal, although her brother is more properly regarded as Arcan's companion. Books, scrolls, and tablets are her commonly depicted symbols.
Followers: As patron of sages, teachers, students, and all who seek truth or knowledge, Arcana alone empowers the knowledge domain. She extends favor to clerics of this domain only while imposing several absolute standards, including maintenance of silence within her library-sanctuaries, and neutrality in some aspect of alignment. Her temple is the Great Library of Alekhandir, but holds every library and place of learning as sacred.
Members of Arcana's priesthood are commonly known as Grey Ones, for the robes they wear. Collectively they’re often referred to Grey Silence. They refer to ne another, however, as Brother and Sister. These studious men and women dedicate themselves to the acquisition and sharing of knowledge of all kinds, maintaining an extensive network of library-abbeys as bases of operation throughout the Realm. Within these cloistered communities, books and scrolls of all varieties are copied, illuminated, and preserved.
Younger members of the priesthood often take a more active role in the acquisition of knowledge, undertaking adventure to discover new or recover lost lore, or to liberate valuable secrets hoarded by others. Older Brothers and Sisters typically retire from such activity, leading out their final years in research, writing, and instruciton.
The Wyrd and the Way: Brothers and Sisters of Arcana insist that theirs was the first of all religious texts ever create, although the contents of Wyrd and Way have changed many times since its creation. The first half of the book, The Wyrd, contains all of the prayers, rituals, and ceremonies peculiar to Arcana's following. The second half, The Way, is much more philosophical, empahsizing the important of honesty, accuracy, and impartiality in all the Grey Ones do. Every initiate into her priesthood receives their own copy of the book, and must memorize its text before receiving ordination. Ironically, because her clerics all know Wyrd and Way by rote very few of them actually carry a copy on their person, even when traveling.

Alsayida, Lady of Joy
The goddess Khazpar reveres is a distinctly eastern version of the ancient imperial love goddess, known simply as Alsayida (“The Lady.”) Unlike her modern counterpart in the Realm, heavily influenced by elven love goddess Celenë, in Khazpar's culture Alsayida stands as one of the greatest gods, equivalent in stature to the Sun himself.
IN eastern tradition, the Sun and the Moon are wedded, with Alrabu (“The Lord”) being the divine counterpart of mortal Zhuultan, and Alumu (“The Mother”) representing the queen of hareem. Alsayida is therefore their daughter and the celestial princess, said to be the most beautiful, compassionate, and joyous of all gods. Like the pure white light of her star, she bestows blessings upon everyone equally, withholding her benevolence from none.
Whether living persons are genuinely wise enough to appreciate those blessings is another matter entirely, of course.
Alsayida’s most common epithet is Sayidat Alfarah (“Lady of Joy”) denoting the endless pleasures she has created and shared. Wells, springs, streams, and rivers all lie under her protection and the sound of flowing water is known as dahkat sayida (“Lady’s Laughter”.) By extension, lands made green and habitable by the presence of fresh water sources are hers, as well. She is therefore called Sayidat Alhilal Al'akhdar (“Mistress of the Green Crescent”) and is said to hold the fertile lands between desert and sea in the palm of her hand.
As Asad Alard (“Lion of the Land”) her solar father is the master of desert regions, while the sea is domain of Eashiqat Alazraq (“Mistress of the Blue”), her lunar mother.
The Lady's temple is known as Qasr Alsayida (“The Lady’s Palace”) and rivals that of Zhultaan in size and splendor. Its grounds are high-walled, set at their corners with soaring minarets, and filled with expansive gardens including countless flowers, fountains, and arbors of fig and date trees. The central structure is built of pale stone, suggesting the pureness of the Lady’s Star, and includes its own minarets and a towering central dome.
Followers: Because the Lady’s Star shines either before the rising of the sun or immediately following sunset, Alsayida empowers the twilight domain. She accepts both men and women as her clerics, although the women are more numerous by far. This is due in no small part to the culture of Khazpar's homeland, in which men-who-lie-with-men are deemed an affront to the Sun.
Alsayida's is a prostitute-priesthood, in fact, exchanging the Lady's blessings for donations to her cult. These need not be actual coin or other tangible wealth, however. Manufactured goods, food and drink to sustain her followers, and the performance of skilled trade-work all constitute donation. Ironically -- hypocritically, even -- many influential men who publicly decry homosexual relations privately seek out the Lady's priesthood for sex with handsome young priests.
The Batalat Alsayidat (“The Lady’s Champion”), known as paladins in the Realm, are quite rare within her following. Here again, cultural bias places martial matters squarely in the hands of sunny Alrabu and his living counterpart, Zhuultan. Even so, this belief in no way prevents the Lady’s priesthood from employing skilled warriors for private instruction. Additionally, Batalat Alsayidat receive the same indoctrination into the Lady’s Rites that her clerics do, empowering her infrequent paladins with full authority to extended the Lady's blessings.
Tuqus Alsayida ("The Lady's Rites") Unlike many other religious cults, that of Alsayida does not possess a a religious text or sacred scripture, although it does maintain an age-old body of ritual practices and wisdom known as the Lady's Rites. Passed down from existing priests and priestesses to young novices as an oral tradition, the wisdom consists entirely of songs both praising the Lady's virtues and admonishing followers to proper behaviors in her name.
Ritual practices pass on the proper means of conducting ceremony and sacrifice, of course, but also include thorough indoctrination into the giving and receiving of sexual pleasures of all varieties. Insofar as they serve the Lady as prostitute-priests, her clerics are obliged to attain proficiency in many techniques for men and women, both, as well as preferred practices among other races.

The door to Thero
Thero/Theodore - Grung - Cleric or Paladin
A Grung raised by Missionaries of a good/aligned deity. Was actually kidnapped as a child but was too young to remember. They intended him as a tool to convert his "savage" kin. It's very much a Christian Missionaries taking in a native child situation. Given name is Theodore, but they more often called him "Thero" which means "feral" or "beastly" a derogatory nickname, though he remains oblivious to that part. Use Australian accent I've been working on? Definitely the positive sort. Possibly lawful, suiting both the nature of Grung as well as his religious upbringing.
If Paladin thinking Oath of Devotion or Oath of the Crown. If Cleric possibly Twilight, Order, or Life Domain. Maybe Nature Domain.
