God every time I go on your page I’m reminded again of how we were robbed. Don’t get me wrong I love the mains in Star Wars but there’s so so so many overlooked characters. Like, it’s Star Wars, I want more cool aliens and more baddass Jedi. Especially the awesome female characters (I hope you know my love of Shaak Ti and all the overlooked twilek characters has been well fed by your works).

SW is such a vast universe that it would be impossible for all the characters to get enough screen time to fully flesh them out, but yeah. Man. so many of the female alien characters specifically are incredibly overlooked and it's such a shame.

Here are some Star Wars characters I personally headcanon as intersex, because I’m intersex and I think that endosex (dyadic/perisex/not intersex) people have gotten away with ignoring us for too long!

No name, and commonly headcanoned as intersex trans. That’s totally cool and perfectly fine, but I’m saddened that him being intersex was never even considered by most of the fandom. He has ear cones, which have previously been a secondary sex characteristic associated with female twileks. Personally, my own experiences have led me to believe that being intersex isn’t neatly compatible with being cis or trans, but that’s just my opinion. He could be trans and intersex!

Xi’an. A lot of people didn’t like her. Maybe because she’s a Harley Quinn type of character, and that’s not everybody’s cup of tea. Maybe because it’s implied she slept with djarin and a bunch of the fandom wishes they could sleep with him themselves. Those people are entitled to their opinions, as I’m entitled to mine: I love basically all female characters, and xi’an is no exception. She stabs people? Good for her. I headcanon her as intersex for basically the same reason as for the unnamed Twi’lek above, but reversed: no ear cones, and forehead ridges that have previously been established to be male secondary sex characteristics.

Omega, from the bad batch (which I haven’t actually watched yet, just read about it). Has the most canon evidence to back her up, since she’s a clone of Jango fett, presumably having the same set of genes. Swyer syndrome is when a natal female has XY chromosomes. It’s caused by the sry gene of the baby not being activated during pregnancy (or incubation in omega’s case), so the baby doesn’t form male reproductive organs. With the exception of the gonads (ovaries, testes), girls with swyer syndrome are anatomically indistinguishable from an endosex girl. Hormones are administered so puberty happens normally (along with preventing other health problems that come from not producing adult amounts of hormones). Women with swyer syndrome can even get pregnant and give birth with an egg donation. Alright, explanation over!

Barriss Offee. Why, you ask? She was treated unfairly by the writers and deserved better. Many intersex people can relate to deserving better treatment and not getting it! Actually, i headcanon her as intersex because I like her. There’s no evidence for it in canon, I just like her and have decided she is an intersex lesbian just like me.

Star Wars Outlaws:

OK. It’s not perfect, but it is an OK game. Plenty of side quests and things to pick up. Here’s the interesting parts though:

Collectibles include audio of in-universe soap operas. They’re fascinating.

There’s no XP. You don’t get magically more badass over time, you just unlock new tools and weapons styles by completing pick-ups (“You need a DL-35 Micro regulator for this. It’s on Tatooine, here��) or a challenge (“Visit 3 merchants”).

The main character is an absolute asshole by design.

You can absolutely renege on contracts for personal gain.

The lock picking rhythm game which is nearly impossible due to the clownshoes decision to bind it to the analog trigger can be just turned off.

There’s a ton of accessibility options to make life easy.

Female stormtroopers.

NPCs can be middle-aged female Mon Calamari or Grizzled widowed bat women. Plenty of chunky Twilek too. Actually almost everyone who has any experience or knows anything useful is a tired older person. This contrasts to the main char who’s 22 and a serial fuckup who doesn’t know shit. That’s the game: You play this kid who has big ideas, no experience, and has no tact or grasp of consequences.

The Sabacc mini-game is actually really fun and designed to be pretty quick to get in and out of.

The cosmetics are actually pretty nice: You can equip an outfit for perks, but set the visuals to any other owned item. The speeder bike gets handlebar danglies and trophies that really are only cosmetic.

It’s a stealth game with occasional shootouts. It’s more Metal Gear Solid than RDR2

OK so here’s the thing: The pricing is punitive. Ubisoft really doesn’t want you to buy this game.

What they want is for you to pay £15 a month to get it as part of their subscription package which gives you the Premium version of most of their games.

It also means you can play via Amazon Luna, which will stream a 1080p version to your TV, PC, tablet, phone…

Which may actually be a better deal than paying £60 and having your gaming PC’s fans scream at you.
