Some General Ericson's Kids Headcannons

Louis

Despite it being the zombie apocalypse, he still takes a great care in his appearance. Maybe this could be tied back to his insecurities, but he generally just finds comfort in looking nice. He kept a few colognes from before, and maybe even still has a few hair products. Of course he’d had to be resourceful to make them last this long, probably pours water into the almost empty cologne bottles to make them last longer. He also just dislikes being dirty in general, always wiping down his clothes and typically taking breaks to freshen up. 

He wants to keep the artistic spirit alive, even in the apocalypse, and he really admires people who feel the same. Everyone knows he loves piano, but when somebody actually shows interest in it he can't help but get giddy. He can ramble about musicians and songs for hours and hours and hours, and if you ever found him some new records or sheet music you'd officially be his new favorite person; ever.

Definitely was an only child; his parents put all of their focus on him, watched his every move. He was expected to get good grades, go to a good college, get a hard well-paying job afterwards. He was definitely spoiled money-wise, but his family lacked in the love and affection department. 

Violet

I’d like to think that if she ever got the chance to, she’d try to give herself a piercing. Obviously it’d be unsanitary and sort of implausible during the apocalypse, but if you think about it, all she’d need would be a needle, the piercing itself, and some sort of disinfectant, so it could possibly happen. If she did get one, probably an eyebrow piercing or a septum. She definitely isn’t the type to care too much about her appearance, but she would feel super cool having a piercing. (She wouldn’t say it though, lol)

Violet lacked any sort of hobby in the game, and this upset me. (Ruby has gardening/being a nurse, Louis has music, Tenn has art, Mitch has weapons, Omar has cooking, Aasim has writing, etc.) I feel like if she had a hobby it'd be something she'd do in secret, maybe poetry or writing songs. She definitely is the type of person to bottle her emotions up, so writing poems about it would definitely be a nice way to cope with them. She’d never share her poetry with anyone though, it's just her thing; she's way too embarrassed of it. 

If she was able to listen to any music she would definitely like indie or punk music. (Pavement, she would LOVE pavement) She’s definitely the type of person to crush on more alternative people, so I could see her trying to get into goth music just to impress a girl she likes. 

Marlon

It's obvious that he's definitely got some hefty mental issues going on, he's the type of person to bottle things up forever till he just blows up. He panics a lot in tough situations, scrambles to fix things himself, but has a hard time making things work out alone. I'd imagine his parents were probably perfectionists of some sort; who pushed a lifestyle he didn't want onto him and he tried hard to succeed for them but could never be enough. Eventually one day he acted out, sick of being forced to live a life he didn't want to live, and then was sent to Ericsons's.

A lot of people hate Marlon, for reasons that are obvious, but I really don't think he was a bad guy. He was simply misguided, and made mistakes. 

Seems like the type to smoke or drink as a way to cope. Did it more often before the apocalypse and when it first started but cigarettes and alcohol are pretty much nonexistent near Ericson’s now so he was forced to quit. 

Mitch

I see many people sort of stereotype Mitch as just this guy who likes carving knives and making bombs, which definitely is true, but I think there’s much more to him. He has a very rebellious personality which leads me to believe he probably grew up in a home where being rebellious was necessary to get any attention from his neglectful parents. They are in the boarding school for a reason, so he probably was the type of kid that almost burnt down his house or something.

Definitely seems like the type to be a big softie once you get to know him. Certainly not the type to be all soft in public, but if you're spending time one on one his more gentle side will show. 

Ruby 

She has such a motherly vibe to her, so caring and sweet. Even hands out some tough love when needed. I think that's one of the reasons why she likes the greenhouse so much, she loves to take care of things; plants included. (Obviously she also liked it because of Ms. Martin, but yk)

She's certainly not the type to accept compliments easily, she just can't imagine that when people compliment her they're telling the truth. I'd imagine that the reason she punches Aasim If you dare him to kiss her is because she thinks he's playing a prank on her or something; she just finds it hard to believe that somebody would like her. (I love her, Ruby is my bae omg)

Paring: Mitch x Fem! Reader

Warnings: typos, established relationship, Mitch being a secret softie, cussing, it’s so sweet it’s sickening, think that’s it?

Summary: Mitch being a romantic in his own way.

A/N: Hi, I’m doing alright! Unfortunately I’ve been having pain in both knees, both hips and my thumb. So I’m falling apart?? But I’m also good LMAO. New format of a one shot, hope you enjoy!

Dating Mitch was actually more peaceful than you thought, given that he wouldn’t stop with the snarky comments before you got together. Now you two sat outside as he carved a weapon out of wood, you sat closer to him. Watching as he carved the shape he wanted, a nice sharp point. Mitch knew you were watching him, a small smile tugging at the corner of lips as you leaned further on him. Your head was practically on his shoulder, he shifted slightly allowing you better access to lean on him, but also angling his body towards you. One of his feet slid over to yours, nudging it slightly to show he knew you wanted his attention.

Since that encounter, he started doing it more often. Adjusting himself so he was facing you in some way, his feet or knees angled towards you. Always tracing his boot along your shoot, his leg rubbing against yours, your knees constantly touching. Every time you were sitting down, he made sure one of his legs were touching yours. You knew Mitch was a little embarrassed when it came to showing affection in front of the others, mostly due to teasing, so this small act made your heart warm.

“I’m always here.”

Mitch whispers softly, a sweet look in his green eyes as he smiled lovingly at you. A content sigh escaped him as you cuddled up to him on the couch outside, which was quickly gone due to a teasing remark from Willy, but he didn’t pull away.

At dinner when Louis served him a bowl first, he would instantly slide it over to you. This is something he had done before you got together, but he used to be more nonchalant about it. Giving you a “I’m not that hungry I can wait.” Or “Don’t read into it, just take it.” Now he was convinced Louis was doing it on purpose, which he probably was. You always felt a little guilty, trying to push the bowl back and said it was fine for you to wait. Mitch shook his head, his hand coming to rest over yours to stop you from giving the bowl back.

“You are too important to me, you need to eat first… please.”

You don’t remember the last time you heard him speak so softly, so much depth and love in his voice. The look in his green eyes made you feel warm and tingly, causing you to blush and stare down at the bowl. Nodding as you picked up the spoon and began to eat, as you took your first bite you felt his boot hook around your ankle under the table.

The air turned crisp, the leaves were changing color and some already falling down around you. Ahead was Aasim leading the way towards the hunting area and by your side was your beloved boyfriend, sneaking glances at you then quickly looking away. Even after all this time of being boyfriend and girlfriend, he still acted all shy and flustered. Mitch’s pinky curled tighter around yours as he moved to walk closer to you, his cheeks flushed as he looked off to the right.

Unknowing to you Mitch was in his head planning a date for you two, but you didn’t find out until that night. You were curled up in his bed, waiting for him to join you but instead met with him tossing a packed bag at you. You sat still, blinking in confusion as you looked yo to him. Mitch was red and embarrassed, his fis he’s fiddling slightly at his side.

“C’mon we are going on a date, since ya know.. you like that sort of thing.”

You couldn’t help but crack a smile.

“Mitch, baby, it’s two in the morning.”

“If you are too chicken just say that.”

After a long walk through the woods, carefully scanning the trees for walkers you finally arrived. Mitch had brought you to the old run down truck near the fishing cabin, you cashed him an even more confused look, which was quickly replaced by surprise and awe. Your boyfriend threw a blanket over the hood of the truck, giving you to the perfect place to sit or lay, to look at the stars past the nearing bare trees. Mitch hopped up on the hood first, which you quickly followed after and finally opening the bag he made you carry. There was food in it, stuff he had kept and stashed away for you two to have this picnic.

Honestly it was the cutest thing he has done, you had an absolutely perfect time. After you were done eating you both laid back on the hood, staring up at the sky as the stars twinkled above you. Mitch took his jacket off and draped it over you like a blanket.

“Baby, I’m not cold.”

“Just take the damn thing.”

It was winter now and Mitch was hiding under a pile of blankets, muttering curses at the cold weather. You sat at the desk in your shared room with a smile on your lips, fiddling with a rather smooth rock in your hands. Mitch had returned from hunting with Aasim and Brody, he walked over to you and handing you a shiny, smooth rock, of course and it looked like a crappy shaped heart. Mitch never said anything when he gave it to you, he didn’t need to as you understood perfectly.

Pulling out the desk drawer on your left, you placed the heart rock inside with all the other interesting things Mitch gifted you. Some loose change, more rocks, his lucky pen, bottle caps, buttons off his old shirts or jackets. It was the little things like this, that reminded you Mitch was absolutely in love with you.

So, I don't know if your requests are open or not, but I'd like to request something for TWDG S4. It's basically the Ericsons' kids with an s/o who has naturally cold hands. Like, their hands are always cold even in the summertime. So the reader is kind of self conscious about it when holding hands for the first time. I guess what I'm asking for is the kids' reaction to the cold hands. Like if they'd try to warm them up and all that. Does that make sense? I feel like it doesn't. BUT if it does I'd really appreciate you doing that. LOVE YOUR WORK BTW. xoxo~A

Ericson kids with a S/O that has cold hands

Characters: Clementine, Marlon, Mitch, Violet, and Louis

A/N: This is kinda hard for me to write since I'm usually the person with warm hands but I'll try my best😭 I also don't own these gifs!

Clementine

Having cold hands was always an issue for you growing up and it hasn't changed. Before it used to be your dad who would warm your hands up for you but when the apocalypse happened you lost him and your family. When you first met Clem she took notice to you having cold hands, how you would always rub your hands together or put your hands underneath your arms or between your thighs. When you guys started dating, even before you guys did, she would offer to warm up your hands for you.

"Cold?" Clem asked as she looked over to you. You were sitting beside her and your hands were between your thighs trying to warm them up. "Yea" You said simply. She smiled and took your hands and put them in hers. She cupped them and put her mouth to her hands and started to blow warm air on your hands. "We should find you some gloves to wear, babe" Clem suggested as she looked at you. You giggled lightly and agreed. "Maybe we can get matching ones" you joked. You could feel your hands warming up already. Clem smiled. "Of course, anything for you."

Marlon

It never really accrued to Marlon that you had cold hands until you guys started dating. He would go to grab your hand and it would be freezing. He would laugh a bit to himself and would warm up your hands without asking, he knows that you'll appreciate it.

"Hey, babe." Marlon would say with a smile as he came up the guard tower where you were keeping watch. You turned and flashed him a smile. "Hey" you answered back and turned to keep watch. He came up behind you and wrapped his arms around you, it was November and it was starting to snow a bit. Your hands started to get colder than usual, fingertips being white, blue even sometimes, from the cold. "How's your hands?" He hummed as he took your hands and looked at them, your fingertips were turning white a bit. You didn't say anything just blushed lightly and you heard him click his tongue. Without a second passing he turned you around and put your hands underneath his jacket and shirt, his skin was warm, very warm. You giggled and hugged him. "You treat me so well." you smiled as you looked up to him and rested your chin on his chest. He looked down and ran his hands on your lower back. "You know, my hands are also kinda cold too." he smirked before grabbing your ass, you squealed, he laughed. He gives it a good squeeze before leaning down and giving you a quick peck. "You going to let go now?" You asked. "Nope."

Mitch

For some reason you were always so embarrassed to hold Mitch's hand. Your hands always being cold and Mitch with his big mouth, you were scared he would be judgy about it.

"Come here" Mitch whispered to you. You guys were supposed to cleaning up the school but Mitch had other ideas. He grabbed into your hand and pulled you into on of the rooms. He closed the door and pushed you up against it, he looked down and then he felt his cold your hands were. You noticed and pulled you hand away with a blush. "It's noth-" "Why don't you tell me you have cold hands?" He cut you off as he grabbed both of your hands into his. He put your hands in between his and looked up to you. "I don't know, it's embarrassing" you mumbled. He frowned a bit before leaning down and kissing your fingers. "Don't be embarrassed, especially not with me."

Violet

Let's be honest, this girl also had cold ass hands. When she found out you also had cold hands she would try and warm them up, even if it doesn't work.

October mornings were always your favorite, even if the mornings were cold. You'd always sit outside looking at the sunrise, loving the feeling of the cool crisp air on your body, even if it did feel like you were freezing. Violet occasionally would join you watching the sunrise and you guys would cuddle and share a blanket trying to stay warm. "Fuck, it's so cold" Violet shivered as she brought you closer to her, her hands were cold on your body. You shivered and got closer to her, you were between her legs looking at the sunrise. "Gimme your hands" you said as you look her hands and brought them up to your chest and put her hands in your boobs. You felt her tense up before relaxing. You brought your hands down and put them underneath her thighs and sighed contently. "Better?" You asked. She nodded and stayed silent for a minute before talking. "Your boobs are warm."

Louis

He finds it so cute that your hands get cold. He loves it that you go to him for helping warming your hands up.

You guys were in bed just staring at the ceiling in silence. You both had just woken up and were laying together enjoying the moment. The room was cold, it's starting to snow which makes the school cold too. And your hands were freezing, to the point that they felt numb. An idea popped into your head, with a smile you rolled over and put your hands on Louis's stomach, making him scream. "Goddamn your hands are cold girl!" Louis exclaimed as he looked at you. You giggle and pulled him into a hug. "Warm me up" you mumbled into his chest, you could feel him shiver from your cold ass hands on his body. It took a second for him to adjust to the coldness, when he did he looked down and gave you a kiss on the forehead. "Always will."

do you have any personal headcannons for what some of the ericson kids home lifes were like?

Louis: He had a very privileged upbringing but also grew up in a very controlling household. Image is everything. Everything that he did was watched and critiqued by his dad and if he wan't good enough he didn't receive love and affirmation. His mom didn't agree with his dad's way of parenting but she didn't speak up for Louis. Louis' lack of self confidence and self love were caused by his upbringing.

Violet: She had a horrible upbringing. She had some people that were safe to her like her grandparents and her mom as well when she wasn't completely burnt out. But her dad was an abusive drunk who made her childhood hell. She had pockets of time where it was safe like being at her grandparents but the rest of the time she was in an intense abusive setting that she felt like she would never escape. Her defenses and the walls she puts up around people are an outcome of her life growing up.

Sophie, Minnie and Tenn: They had a really good home life. Their parents were really nice and loving but they died and for years the three of them were tossed around in the foster system. No one wanted to adopted three kids and as a result they ended up at Ericson because the system didn't know what to do with them.

Omar: He had very strict, hardworking parents so his home life had very much the same mindset. His parents loved him but didn't necessary like him. They blamed their inability to connect to be something wrong with him. Those "problems" being his quietness and lack of showing strong emotions. Thus they sent him to Ericson.

Aasim: He lived in a household that held him to very high expectations. He went above and beyond in reaching those but he could not hold back his love of fire. He ended up setting something on fire in the neighborhood and greatly pissed off the neighbors who threatened to sue unless his parents sent him somewhere.

Ruby: She had a very loving and accepting household. Her mom passed away when she was young which left her with her dad and her many brothers. Most of the time everything was great but once her anger issues started showing up then problems started happening. She punched a kid so hard they pissed themself all over the playground and so Ruby was sent to Ericson to learn how to be a proper lady.

Brody: She had the most normal, boring upbrining. She lived in a very plain household. Her parents had a kid because "that's what couples do" and so there was always a disconnect between her and her parents. Her anxiety was something very alien to them and they couldn't relate. When her anxiety kept getting worse they kept getting more frustrated and decided to send her to a school to "fix" it.

Mitch: He grew up in a low income household. His mom passed away when he was young and so his dad tried his best to raise him but it was a struggle. His dad had his hands full with just trying to get bread on the table so when Mitch started picking fights over neighborhood kids teasing him about his face and when he blew something up his dad didn't know what else to do but send him away.

Willy: He grew up with a more conservative family. So when he started touching himself they thought he was possessed by the devil. Prayers and church weren't working and they found a brochure for Ericson so they sent him there, partly to try and help him and partly to get rid of him because they were creeped out by him.

Marlon: A very all American household, white picket fence, working class but getting by, very patriotic. His dad voted for Trump. His mom didn't vote because that's not a woman's place. It was a miracle he turned out pretty okay. He had bad anxiety around things surrounding school like tests and sports. So one day he decided to steal a car to blow off some steam. He got caught with that stolen car that he took for a joyride. So to Ericson he went!

Hello, I have more questions because after my last one, they are about the Duck lives au again.

1. When it gets to the Jane v Kenny moment, do you think Clem would still shoot Kenny, or would Duck shoot Kenny, or do you think they both wouldn't do it.

2. When it comes to weapons, Do you think Duck would prefer ranged weapons(guns/bows/crossbows) or melee weapons(blunt/bladed).

3. How do you think Duck will act during the Howes segments, because after I read "TWD but you choose what happens" fanfic on fanfiction.net, I can't stop seeing The blueberries scene(the one where Reggie dies in) where Duck is deliberately cutting off all the branches.

4. Do you think Duck would be able to find someone to love, like how Clem has Violet/Louis? Personally, I ship him with Mitch, mainly because I think Mitch would like Duck's energy, and Louis, because I think they would both like each others antics.

So sorry if this is alot.

I HEART GETTING QUESTIONS :3

1. It would be Clem if it were to happen. In the au, the storyline follows the one where Kenny lives. But if Kenny were to be shot in the scene, it would be Clem. Duck could never shoot his dad

2. I think he would prefer blades and up-close combat

3. I think he would subtly be a menace to fuck with Carver a bit. He'd also want to help with the escape and prove to his dad he can look after himself but Kenny would make Clem do most of the dirty work because he still babies and views Duck as a defenseless kid

4. Personally, I don't ship Duck with anyone. But I can definitely see him getting along well with Mitch as well, they'd start off rocky because of Marlon's death and because Duck stands by Clementine and AJ like it's his lifeline. But overtime I can see them becoming relatively close.

Also, Louis and Duck would be an unstoppable force of pranks and bullshit. People dread seeing them together because they'll just yap and yap and yap together

TWDG S4 characters when a bubbly Y/N is sad

Violet

She’d find you a bit strange and would tease you but in honesty she loves how bubbly you are

Whenever life gets her down all she has to do is spend some time around you and she feels better

She notices instantly when you’re upset tho and will give it a few minutes before coming up to you

“Hey. What’s up? Why are you all depressed?”

But fr tho that’s her job 😞 LMAO SORRY

But you’ll open up to her and she silently nods along

Whatever it is she gets it

“Yeah…it sucks sometimes…”

She won’t say much but she offers to go somewhere more private so you two can chill and just complain to each other

She’s not all that good at comfort but she’d really try

When your back to normal she’d have a small smile on her face

“Ya happy again now?”

She’d be a bit upset if you’d want to go right back to being around everyone else but she’d join you anyway cuz she’s just happy to see you smile again

Mitch

He doesn’t really get it I mean how can anyone be happy living like this? I mean sure it’s manageable at times but it still sucks

He’d never on his life say it but he does secretly enjoy how happy you are even if he’d tease you for it

When he sees you upset tho I’m so sorry but this man is useless here

He doesn’t notice at first but after Willy or someone points it out he picks up on it and worries a bit

However he just hopes you cheer up on your own and doesn’t say anything

But he does watch out for you in the corner of his eye

He just assumes if it’s really bad you’ll come to him

Cuz he won’t come to you unless your both alone

When you do tell him what’s up he’s still not very helpful

“Damn…that sucks..”

He will let you stay with him but be warned you’ll both be sat in silence if you’re not in a talking mood

But when you do cheer up he’s relived

Marlon

Marlon finds you to be a breath of fresh air, he always has a gentle smile on his face when your around

He’s happy that you can bring the others up too cuz a happy group is a good group yk

Plus you keep him calm too

So when he sees his usual happy friend down in the dumps he’s very confused

What happened to you?

He watches you for a bit then walks over to you and asks if you’re ok and if ya wanna talk

Hell take you up to the office and will listen to you explain why your upset

He listens and offers some advice and comfort

He’ll let you stay with him for a bit and if you like dogs yk he’ll get rosy to give you some comfort hugs and all

He just has normal conversations with you and will say that he hopes you cheer up soon cuz what would they all do without your positive ways

When you cheer up he’ll have a big smile and if your ok with it he’ll pull you in for a hug and definitely does that back pat and rub (yk the that you do to a friend or family to either be like heyy! Or ok that’s enough now)

Louis

HELLO YOUR BASICALLY THE ONLY OTHER PERSON THEIR WHO CAN MATCH HIS ENERGY

Like he needs to see you all happy and lively because that makes him more happy and lively too!

And this mf he instantly knows when you’re down and he will come up to you and just say “aww what’s wrong (name)? You gotta turn that frown upside down!” He might even pull an over the top sad face too

Depending on what kinda person you are this either kind of works or makes it so much worse

If he does realise that he’s not helping he panics a bit like

“Oh no- they really are sad…what do I doooooo?? This is badddd…”

He’s not all that good in serious situations and will try healing you with comedy and laughter

He’ll tell jokes, tease the others at Ericsson’s

Anything to cheer you up

Heaven forbid the moment you actually do cuz this mans energy is amplified by 100

“is that a smile I see?? So mx grumpy finally cheered up? Ha well it seems I’m just the best at curing sadness.” He acts all cocky but he’s just joking

He’s very pleased to see ya back to your regular self again

Aasim

Aasim always found it curious how someone so happy could exist in a world like this

But he’d be lying if he said he didn’t like it

He can’t match your energy but he does support your cheerful ways

He won’t voice it but you do cheer him up when he’s having a bad day

he notices when you’re upset very quickly n all it’s very obvious lmao

He’ll give it a few minutes but after a while he’ll cave and awkwardly walk over to you

“So…you ok? You seem upset…”

You tell him what’s up and he listens

He either gives you advice or will empathise with you saying he gets it

he won’t really offer it out loud but he doesn’t mind giving you a hug if it will cheer you up

He just waits for you to feel better and is thankful when you do

Omar

This man is grateful that you’re the way you are even if he doesn’t voice it a lot

He’s also a silent observer so when he saw you where upset he just quietly watched you

I think he either doubts how good he is at comforting or he’s too preoccupied but he’ll still watch you for you

He’s kinda hoping it’s just a off day and you’ll perk up again in a while

He waits to see if anyone else will check up on you or if you’ll come to him

But if enough time has passed and both of those didn’t happen he’ll slowly make his way over to you

He doesn’t say much but he listens to you

The few times he does speak it’s either reassurance or advice

He will stay with you for as long as he can and if he had to start cooking again he’d let you stand next to him while he does so

When you cheer up again he wont say much but he has a smile on his face

Ruby

Ruby fully appreciates your bubbly ways and she will usually match your energy when she can

She really thinks you totally brighten up Ericssons!

But today you were acting totally different and she could just sense it

Like there was a shift in the air she just picked up on before she even saw you

Since she gives me like mother friend vibes she totally instantly goes over to ya

Are you ok hun? Ya seem down? What’s happened? Do ya need some space?

She’s there and she will listen to ya 100%

Currently thinking of an 'Ericson Family Road Trip' where instead of defending against the Delta, the kids take the offense and get out of dodge before the raiders can gear up and attack. Clem taking the long way around to New Richmond just to avoid the Delta and any other warring faction (〜￣▽￣)〜

Not much of an ask I know. I guess the 'ask' part would be how you think the season from Episode 2 onwards would've played out in that route lmao--

Interesting! If I remember right, the original idea for the Final Season was a kind of road trip, and I do think the group deciding to flee would make a lot of sense.

If things went this way, it would really emphasize the disparity between Clementine and AJ's survival experience compared to the Ericson kids. While the Ericson's kids have definitely suffered a lot, I can't help but feel that they've gone through the apocalypse somewhat sheltered compared to Clementine and AJ. They lived in an isolated school with solid brick walls and plenty of opportunities for food. Clementine would really be taking charge here, trying to teach them how to survive out in the wilds of the world.

Since it's a road trip I wouldn't want to go TOO dark with it, but if I were writing this I'd definitely give the group some exposure to the darkness of the apocalyptic world. Cannibals, massive herds, disputes between rival groups. There's a lot they'd need to learn to stay alive.

I don't think I'd have any major human antagonists, since I think that's an overdone thing in zombie media to have humans be the main threat, but I would include some ideas of "survivor politics." How do Clementine and the Ericson's crew handle running into other groups of survivors? Do they make contact, or try to hide? Do they let people join them on their trip, or stay exclusive? What if the place they try to use for shelter is claimed by someone else? Even without the other survivors being bandits, there's a lot of tension to negotiate in any encounter with other humans in the apocalypse. Some might be more friendly, some might be less.

I think a major theme would be the Ericson's kids "reintroduction to the world." None of these kids have really seen the outside world since they were sent to the school. How do they deal with adults after so long on their own? How do they handle knowing the world they knew is truly gone forever? Imagine Ruby scavenging the ruins of a fast food restaurant, part of a chain she and her father always used to go to. What kind of memories would that dredge up? Not to mention, these kids have been alone since the oldest of them were only around eleven. What kind of culture have they built for themselves, and how does it interact with other communities? For example, they seem to be making use of human bones for fishing spears. Maybe it's normal for them, but how would other survivors react to them "utilizing" corpses in that fashion? A lot to consider for something like this, though maybe I've made it more serious than it needed to be XD.

Parings: Mitch x Fem! Reader

Warnings: death of a parent, typos probably, swearing, my opinions, everyone lives AU, did I miss any?

Summary: General and Romantic headcanons about Mitch!

A/N: I had two requests for Mitch headcanons, so here there are! He is a good guy, wish we got more of him. Sorry this took so long my brain is gone, it left me.

-General-

We all know Mitch was sent to Ericson’s because he fought his neighbors and blew up shit, including his father’s garage. Though to add more depth into his character, I believe Mitch had a little sister, whom he was fiercely protective of. The neighbors he was fighting would sometimes pick on his sister, which lead to the fights though no adult knew that was the reason. I also think Mitch’s father is widowed, his mother died a two years before he got sent off.

He LOVES cowboy boots, don’t ask me why I just feel it in my bones(and it looks like he is wearing them in game). Mitch has a few pairs, probably from some walkers or he found them around the school. Everyone is wondering how his feet don’t hurt all the time, he doesn’t even know.

Mitch is a bigger nerd than he lets on. Other than the fact he is smart enough to understand chemistry and make bombs, but I also think he was a comic book guy. Though he never let anyone else know thinking he would get made fun of.

Pretty close friends with Ruby. Kinda like a sibling relationship, but she smacks him in the head when he does dumb shit. (Which is often)

Puffs his cheeks out when embarrassed, which only gets him (playfully) picked on by the others.

He still has a lot of energy and likes to play fight with the others, but mostly Willy. Of course he doesn’t hurt anyone and it’s all in good fun. One time he was wrestling Ruby (probably because he wasn’t resting hen he got hurt or something, and she wasn’t having that.) so he was holding her down on the ground, giving her shit over how he is stronger than her… and then all the little kids Tenn, Aj and Willy tackled him and began tickling him. (It was Willy’s idea)

Mitch REALLY likes cats. He likes dogs too don’t worry, Mitch loves Rosie. Like if he found one he will steal it and bring it home, congratulations you have a furry baby with him now. Best cat dad 10/10.

He is ticklish and he hates it, the only ones who get away with tickling him are the little ones. Expect Willy, that’s basically his little brother so he will get him back. But if all three kids gang up on him (as mentioned before) he will try to run from them.

Honestly Mitch is a super sweet guy, once you get past all the attitude. He loves playing with the kids and can be the biggest sweetheart towards them, but instantly becomes an asshole when called out on it.

-Romantic-

You know how some people are like; “he picks on you because he likes you!” Yeah that exists because of guys like Mitch. He teases you and makes snarky comments because he has no idea how to handle his feelings, Ruby knows he likes you and she teases him.

His confess probably came from an argument between you two, yelling at him for being so mean and then he snaps back with something like; “I just REALLY like you!” Followed by crickets as you stare at him, Mitch is looking anywhere but you.

When it comes to PDA, he acts like he hates it and pouts but he loves it. I can see him totally being into the holding pinkies thing, it’s simple but adorable. You two standing together, pinkies interlocked and he is blushing like crazy.

He will teach you how to make bombs if you want, but he is super paranoid the whole time. Mostly worried you’re going to get yourself hurt, so he stands over your shoulder and watches like a hawk.

Mitch feels like a super cheesy guy, like romantic cheesy. But it’s an apocalyptic world, so he’s hard to have romantic dates. Your first date was sneaking out of Ericson’s at night, climbing a tree and looking at the stars together. That kind of cheesy, if that makes sense.

He gets too embarrassed to ask you to move into his room with him, so he just waits for you to do ur. Or just hint at it continuously. “Your room seems cramped, maybe you should come sleep in mine.” All the rooms are the same size lol. When you finally move into his room, he becomes hella clingy in private. Cuddling you all the time, has to be touching you. Mitch will let you decorate his room if you want, even if it’s something silly or girly. He will make a smart ass comment but if you try to take it down he gets upset like; “Hey, what are you doing I liked it there.” >:(

Sleeping in the same bed with Mitch is a pain, mostly because he rolls around and will roll ON YOU. He also sleeps kinda heavy, so you’ll have better luck pushing him off yourself rather than waking him up. When Mitch does wake up he kinda cranky like an old man, which you tease him about and he only mumbles a “shut up.”

I feel like in the beginning when you first got to Ericson that Mitch didn't notice you much

Unless someone actively pointed you out to him or he caught eye contact with you accidentally

You were just very, very quiet

Even if you were at the school before it all teachers would try and get you to answer but you never did

You had your own friends probably, but Mitch never even saw you talking to them when he did notice you

So after a while you piqued his interest sort of

He would watch you for a while out of the corner of his eye to see you talking to someone

You just never did

So you were confusing to him

Even after the end of the world came he never saw you speak

Even when it was needed or when people stuck together

Mitch noticed you communicated in other ways

Either just by being there, on a notepad or even just touch

It was like it was all you needed

Sometimes some people would be assholes and give you a hard time

One time, even before you and Mitch interacted and he still knew of you but not knowing you, someone was giving you grief for not talking

They thought you were being stuck up or you didn't like them

They were getting more aggressive and Mitch stepped in

Mitch pushed them back and told them to fuck off, something he never really did for anyone except his friends or Willy

And after that you two sorta just clicked

You stuck by Mitch the same way Willy did

And Mitch got to know you better even when you didn't talk

And he actually liked your silence

It took him a while to figure out why you didn't talk

He asked why and you were upfront

You chose not to

That's what was confusing to him, why would you not want to talk?

He didn't pry, he accepted it even if he was curious

You may talk slightly, barely and few and far between

If you ever did talk, even a mumble Mitch would be shocked and think he was going crazy

Mitch liked your silence

He often sat next to you by the fire on the couches and did what he did, your legs in his lap as you did whatever the hell

He is not very good at reading you though so he still needs words with that

But he never forced you to talk, even if he sometimes wished you did

He got you a notepad from the old classrooms and you guys talk through that

Most of the time he just likes being with you

Especially if you're more a touchy person

Hand holding, slight hugs and leaning against him by the fire is more his style than words

He never had a good way with words so to find out you don't either and feel you don't need them makes him feel more secure with you

Like he actually shouldn't be putting off the idea of loving you

And hey, you guys are together without the words so you guys can exchange silent I love yours

He may even learn I love you in sign language if that's more your style

May even teach himself a thing or two
