Y/N inhaled a breath she didn’t even have and tilted Enid’s head to the side. Enid’s blood filled her senses and her pupils dilated. “ready?” she asked. Enid nodded. “i’ve been ready for a fucking century.”

her mouth opened, and then her fangs slowly came out. she leaned closer to Enid, hesitating. “please, Y/N. just do it.” she whined.

so she did it. she sunk her teeth into Enid’s neck, taking all of her blood. Enid screamed in pain, but part of it was a moan. Y/N could tell. she held onto the other side of Enid’s neck to keep her place and sucked harder. she could feel Enid grind herself into Y/N’s legs.

her blood was sweeter than anything else she’s ever tasted. she couldn’t bring herself to pull away. it was so addicting.

beneath her, Enid went limp. she pulled away instantly, hovering over Enid’s body. “come on, baby.” she whispered, licking the blood off of her teeth. her skin was pale, and her eyes were dull. “come on…”

under Y/N’s hand, she felt Enid’s neck turn cold. cold like her, not just a little. she stared into her green eyes, and watched as blood red washed over them. a smirk formed on her lips as Enid’s body slowly came back to life. “baby?” she asked.

there were a few moments of silence, and then Enid’s red eyes met her own. Y/N didn’t even have a moment to process Enid’s beauty before Enid pounced on her, her cold lips attacking hers. Y/N held onto her back and kissed back desperately.

Enid pulled away first, smiling at Y/N with newly sharp fangs and her red eyes. “i’m yours forever now.” she whispered, leaning down to kiss down Y/N’s neck. Y/N moaned as her eyes rolled to the back of her head. “forever.” she repeated breathlessly.

I walked up the street of Alexandria towards Enid's house. Ever since I got to Alexandria with Rick, Enid and I clicked. There is something about her that I just can't get out of my head. She's flirty, but in a friend way. But I so desperately wanted it to be in a more than friend way. When she wasn't hanging out with me, she was hanging out with Carl. I hated to see them together, the way her eyes twinkled when she looked at him. God, I wished I was in Carl's position. Straight men have no idea how lucky they have it.

Carl has been my best friend since the prison all the way in Georgia. I share everything with him. A few weeks ago I may or may not have let it slip that I have a massive crush on Enid…

Flashback

"What about Ron?" Carl asked.

"Ron?!" I chuckled.

"What? I think he likes you," Carl nudged me with his elbow.

“Come on, you know me better than that! That guy is an asshole.” I cross my arms.

“You don’t  know until you try.” Carl tries to reason.

"No thank you... Wait, don't you like Enid?" I winced as I realized that I said that. Great job Y/N bring up your crush with your crushes probably crush.

"She's really pretty," Carl turned his head to look out at the street, hiding his faint blush.

"I know," I slapped my hand over my mouth. Damnit Y/N why did you have to let it slip.

Carl slowly turned his head towards me. "What did you just say?" He furrowed his brows and smirked.

"Nothing," I said through my hand which muffled the noise. 

"You- You like Enid?" He asked, pulling back in shock.

"No I never said that," I nervously laughed.

"Wow um, I don't know... I don't think I can look at you the same way. He looked away from me, his body stiffening.

"What?" Uh oh. This is not how I was planning this to go down. I could feel my nose start to burn and tears welling up in my eyes. He can’t be serious.

"Nah, I'm just kidding," He untensed and looked back at me smiling.

"You idiot don't do that," I slapped his arm and buried my face in my hands.

"I’m sorry, I’m sorry," He softly chuckled as he put a hand on my back. "You should tell her how you feel," He gently rubbed my back reassuringly.

"But she likes you!" I groaned.

"I don't know about that. If you like her, you should tell her,"

"You won't be mad?" I asked.

"What? Of course not Y/N, you're my best friend. Life is too short, and I'd rather see you happy with Enid than me," He pulled me into a hug. "You know, Valentine's day is right around the corner, that would be a perfect time to tell her how you feel,"

And here we are. Valentine's day. I walked up the steps of the Rhee family porch and reached out to knock on the door. My heartbeat quickened. I immediately turned around and started walking back home.

"Y/N? " A voice called out from behind me. I froze in my tracks and slowly turned around.

"Hey Maggie," I tried to act natural. I reached out to lean on the railing but missed and tripped.

"What are you doing here honey?" Maggie giggled. I regained my balance.

"Is uh, Enid here?" I asked.

"Yeah, she's upstairs," Maggie motioned her arm for me to come inside. I stepped in and Maggie put her hand on my lower back. Once I was fully inside, she went back to what she was doing. I ran upstairs and to Enid's room.

Her door was cracked open. I softly knocked and came in. "Hey Y/N," She greeted, smiling. She closed her notebook and put it on her nightstand. I awkwardly stood there. This is it, do or die. Metaphorically. She patted the space on the bed next to her. I walked over and sat pretty far away from her. "Are you okay?" She asked. I nodded quickly. "Uh... What's wrong?" She squinted, trying to figure me out.

"Look, I have to tell you something. And I'm sorry in advance," I twiddled my thumbs.

"Okay?" I looked over at her curious bright eyes. I started to smile, but the nerves caught up to me again and I looked back down. She scooted over to me and gently placed her soft hand on my knee. I could feel her eyes burning into me. I can’t tell if I want to cry, or scream, or vomit.

I squeezed my eyes shut. Carl’s words give me strength. "I have feelings for you," I blurted out. "In more than a friend way," Enid pauses. She must hate me. Oh god, what have I done? I should’ve know better than to listen to Carl of all people.

"Hey," She moved her head forward, so she would meet my eyes and break me out of my trance. I looked over at her. She stared at me, starting to smile. I felt my cheeks burn. "It took you long enough," She giggled.

"Huh?" I squinted in confusion.

"Y/N, it's kinda obvious, you're not that great at hiding things," She explained. She scooted even closer to me. Our faces inches apart. My breathing quickened. 

“Why didn’t you say anything, Enid?” I ask as I try to steady my dizziness.

“I don’t know, I just… I didn’t want to look stupid if you didn’t actually like me,” Her face scrunches. I love when she does that, it makes her nose look so cute.

"You... You mean you don't like Carl?" I asked. 

She recoils in disgust.. "Carl? That’s funny.” She giggles softly. Am I dreaming?

“He kinda gave me this idea actually,” I pulled out a little origami heart from my pocket. I made it for her just in case she actually did like me somehow. I hold it out in front of me and we turn to face each other, criss-crossed. “So, Enid, will you be my valentine?”“I’d love to, Y/N.” She smiles brightly.

growing up you never were attracted to men. you never talked about boys in any other way but platonically and you never read or watched anything sexual about them. you were the odd one out with all of your friends before and during the apocalypse, they talked about boys and how they wanted to get married and shit like that while you just sat there awkwardly. you don’t know why you don’t like men like every girl, except tara, does. sometimes you wish you did, you felt like an outcast to everyone in your group and Alexandria.

nobody knows about you liking girls except carl, you two have been friends since the beginning of the apocalypse. you did everything together, like go on runs, read comics, etc. since you guys are so close, everyone has assumed you two liked each other but you (obviously) don’t. you’ve done EVERYTHING to make them stop, but it never works. you guys have stayed apart from eachother to see if it would work but it failed because you guys got bored of it after the first couple hours, you’ve tried giving speeches on how you guys don’t like each other but they still don’t listen, so after a while you two just gave up.

-small time skip-

you and carl were sitting on his bed reading comics, then tara walks in, “hey lovebirds-“ she started but you and carl quickly said “we aren’t together.” she rolled her eyes and said “rick and daryl said get your stuff and meet them at the gate, they’re taking you guys on a run.” she closed the door and walked away. “well, let’s get ready i guess” you say while getting off his bed and leaving to go to your room.

you grabbed your gun, knife, and bag full of necessities. you walked out of the house and went to the car by the gate where daryl, rick, and carl were standing, waiting for you. “hurry up y/n!” daryl yelled. “i’m trying!” you said back while starting to jog. once you got in the car, rick started to play some weird country type music, but you ignored it and looked out the window as you all drove to your destination.

once you got and you all got out, you started to plan. “okay so carl and y/n you take the right side and me and daryl will take the left, if you see anything of use, grab it.” rick instructed everyone. when you walked in you went to the first aisle on the right and look at all the shelves for anything to use back home.

while walking down the aisle, you seen a box on the shelf. you picked it up and set it on the ground then sat next to it while opening it up. inside it had atleast 5 playboy magazines. you picked all of them up and looked at he covers of them in shock. you were curious so you put all but one back and opened it up to the first page which you immediately seen a girl in lingerie, your eyes went wide and you flipped to the next page and seen another lady but in a bikini this time. before you could flip again, daryl turned the corner and seen you and the magazines, “y/n what are you reading?!” he said in shock.

you quickly closed the magazine and stood up. “so.. uhm, i-i..” you stuttered out while looking at your adoptive dad. your heart was beating super hard and fast. you were silent and looking everywhere but his face. “why were you reading a playboy magazine?” he asked you calmly, you didn’t know how to reply so you stayed quiet. “y/n you aren’t in trouble, just tell me why.” he said again, you took one shakey breath then said, “i found it in this box,” you pushed the box to him with your foot, “and i got curious from the cover so i opened one.” you admitted. daryl narrowed his eyes at you but still believed you. “okay.. we’ll find some other things then come to the entrance.” he said while walking away, “okay.” you said, waiting for him to get far enough, then you proceeded to shove two playboy magazines in your bag.

after about 10 minutes you went to the door where everyone else was. all you found was food and bandages. “okay, let’s go.” rick said as he opened the door, walking out to the car. the rest of you followed behind him. after reaching the car you all got in and drove back home. carl peeked over at your bag on the ground and seen the magazines peeking out, “hey uh y/n, look in your bag” he said in a whisper while nodding his head to your bag. the magazines were sticking out and you shoved them so far in your bag they probably ripped, “if you tell anyone about this i will suffocate you in your sleep.” you whispered back while pointing at him. he nodded his head and turned away trying to not laugh.

once you guys got back you got out the car and ran into the house and straight into your room. you stashed the magazines in a box in your closet then buried it in random things.

-another time skip-

you and enid were sitting in your bed silently. you were just staring at the wall and enid was reading a comic, “wanna watch a movie?” you ask enid. “sure, which movie?” she said while turning to you, “we could watch Coraline.” you suggested while getting up to find the movie, “sure” enid said while putting the comic up.

once you found the movie you put it in your dvd player that daryl gave you as a gift a couple months ago. the movie started to play and you went to go sit down. enid had her eyes in you the whole time, watching every movement you made. you noticed she was staring and asked “what?” as you sat next to her. she started to slowly lean in and so did you. both of your lips connected and you straddled her lap.

she slipped her tongue in your mouth and let her hands roam your body. your make out session was cut short whenever daryl opened the door. you flew off of her and daryl just looked shocked and closed your door and left. “oh my god enid. this is not how i wanted to come out to my dad.” you said while covering your whole face with your hands. “it’s okay.” she said while hugging you, “what if he doesn’t support me?” you said about to start crying. “why wouldn’t he support you?” she questioned you, “his brother was homophobic and i don’t know if he is too” you said, tears falling down your face. enid wiped your tears and hugged you tighter, “why don’t you go and talk to him about it?” she asked. “i’m too scared” you responded while wiping your tears. “tell him tomorrow, it will give you some time to think about what to say.” she suggested, “okay, thank you” you said to her while giving her a little peck on the cheek. “i’m gonna go home, it’s getting a little late.” she said while getting up. you both said bye and you went to sleep.

-the next day-

you woke up anxious about telling your dad but you had a feeling it will go well. after you got ready, you walked outside to the front porch and seen your dad. a wave of nervousness washed over you, “hey dad, can we talk?” you said while hesitantly sitting down. “yea, what’s wrong” daryl said while looking at you. “so as you can see from yesterdays events, i like girls.” you said trying to stay calm, he stared at you with a blank face. you got scared about what he might say, “why didn’t you tell me sooner?” he asked. his response took you by surprise.

“i thought you wouldn’t support me.” you admitted to him, “why wouldn’t i?” he wondered. “to be honest, i don’t know” you responded, to which he chuckled at. “well just know i’ll support you no matter what.” he said while smiling and hugging you. “thank you dad, i love you.” you said while hugging back, “i love you too.”

Okay maybe it’s bc I am an adult and not going through puberty anymore but what’s all the Enid hate for??? I know the adolescents on here don’t like her bc they are in love with Carl, but y’all shouldn’t ignore an interesting character just because she’s involved with your fictional man.

Personally I think she’s so cute (in a baby way) and interesting. When she’s introduced she’s basically a feral cat trapped in the body of a teenage girl because she has SEEN SOME SHIT. Then, after being helped by other people and helping them in turn, she realizes that she can care about her community members. Her IMMEDIATE reaction to this is to trauma-bond to Maggie, who is her emotional-support pregnant woman, which is so funny and sad that I can’t even go into it. Enid proceeds to risk her life to self-appoint herself as Maggie’s personal guard dog/assistant/younger sister, because she believes (correctly tbh) that this grown-ass woman needs to be supervised 24/7 and have someone bring her snacks all the time.

You had just gotten back from a week long run, your shirt was sticking to your back from sweat, your feet were covered in blisters, and the amount of blood and dirt on you was getting unbearable, all you wanted to do is go inside and have a nice warm shower.

you got to your house where you were greeted by a smiling enid “Hi y/n i missed you” she gave you a hug. you hugged her back “i missed you too” you smiled “i’m just gonna go have a shower my body is so sore and i’m covered in so much blood and dirt”.

“want me to join you?” enid smiles and looks you in the eyes “i could give you a massage and scrub your back” she makes two fingers walk up your arm.

“mmm” you lightly groan and chuckle “its alright i think i just want to be alone for now its been a long week” you give enid a kiss and walk upstairs.

You turned on the shower allowing the water to run under your finger’s waiting for the temperature to reach the perfect heat.

you slipped off your shirt and unclipped your bra, you hissed in pain as you looked in the mirror infront of you revealing a bite mark just below your collarbone.

As you stepped into the shower you allowed the water the run on your face, you ran your hands through your hair as you sighed, next thing you know there were tears rolling down your face and you couldn’t help but sob.

you’d been in the shower for about 30 minutes before enid knocked on the door “everything alright in there” she worried “yeah i’m okay, ill be out in a bit”.

enid couldn’t help but worry she could hear your silent sobs through the walls of the house so she slightly cracked open the bathroom door looking to see if you were okay.

she could see you crying and just wanted to give you a hug she knew something was wrong after you pushed her away before. as you were washing your hair thats when she saw it, a bite.

she quickly closed the door and began to tear up. “no that cant be what i think it is” she whispers to herself worriedly, she walked into your shared bedroom and couldn’t help but sob.

she couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t believe what she had just seen, she didn’t want to believe it, she couldn’t, you couldn’t have been bit thats not like you. she heard the water turn off and quickly wiped away her tears.

you finished in the shower, slipping on a black T-shirt and some long pyjama pants. you walked into your room seeing enid and sitting next to her giving her a kiss “sorry i was so cold on you before it had just been a long week and i really needed a shower to relax myself” you kissed her once more.

“i love you so much you know that right” enid said rubbing your arm then looking into your eyes “i love you too” you giggled grabbing her hand.

“listen” enid said looking away tears beginning to form in her eyes. you grabbed her face to look at you knowing exactly why she started tearing up, tears began to form in your eyes as you gave her a hug “i’m so sorry” you sniffled.

“when did it happen?” she sobbed. “earlier today” you pulled away from the hug looking her in the eyes wiping away her tears “please don’t cry you’ll make me cry”.

enid looked at you sobbing more harder then before “i cant loose you y/n i cant i cant i cant, i love you so much please why did this have to happen i cant loose you” she began to hyperventilate.

“enid” tears formed in your eyes as you began to sob “please calm down” you pulled her in for a hug kissing her forehead “i love you too but i don’t want you to be upset this was bound to happen sooner or later” your breath began to get shaky.

“please can we just be happy just in the little time we have left” you put your hands on her shoulders looking her in the eyes. she wiped away her tears and tried to calm herself down.

“lets just enjoy the moments we have for now and cherish them” you held her hand tightly.

sometime had passed and the fever had definitely gotten worse and you knew you were gonna turn soon, as you were laying down on the bed with enid by your side holding her hand you looked over at her and smiled “i love you enid” you said with a raspy breath before you stopped breathing.

enid couldn’t help but cry as she stabbed your lifeless body in the head before you turned “i love you too y/n always and forever” she kissed the body infront of her before walking out of the room crying.
