I guess it's easy to forget this because of all I've read on utena analyses since watching it a couple years ago, but how can you even enjoy a show like this without acknowledgement of it's complicated nuance in both characters and story? without being aware (and ok with the fact) that there are fans who have "questionable" takes on the events of the series? I mean, what did you get out of the show? genuinely curious
