Rough week, stobin daydreaming time.

Steve and Robin taking off to Europe together post canon. Starting with Paris, where Robin gets to kiss a girl on the Eiffel Tower. Steve gets his hands on a camcorder somehow (maybe his dad got one in '83 when they first hit the non-profit market) and instead of postcards they send tapes to Hawkins.

(please ignore how heavy and expensive that would have been compared to postcards, though I think the blank tapes themselves wouldn't have been that pricey by '87)

Each tape is thirty minutes long (technically limitations) and consists of several short scenes of Steve and Robin being silly near some landmark. Usually only one of them is visible, but both are audible in every clip. The party watches the tapes together, and Dustin makes copies for everyone who asks.

And sometimes for two people who don't.

The Harringtons aren't especially interested in their son's inexpert camera work as he tries to keep all of an enthusiastic Robin in frame, but they do know someone who works for a subsidiary of TWA, and is desperate for programming for their new channel.

So when Steve and Robin get back to Hawkins, they have an intriguing job offer.
