Love growing up in the early 2000s! I played wizard 101, watched Zoey 101, saw a man get shot by police, reading fanfics on fanfiction.net! Good times!

literally just saw another “call out” post in my fandom, “this person ships these characters together, they support fucked up things in fiction. moots, unfollow them, they’re disgusting for liking these fictional things ” can we please just. not do this? especially with all that’s going on in the world recently, can we please not try to take away people’s source of comfort? who cares what fictional things a person enjoys? they’re ✨fiction✨. they’re ✨not real✨. you don’t know what battle a person is going through outside of social media. you don’t know if fandom is literally the last source of happiness they have left. you don’t know if fandom is the only thing keeping them alive right now.
ask yourself, is it really worth it? you claim to be “morally superior” by “exposing” people who find comfort in fictional things you deem morally unacceptable. but is it really worth it if your words drove a person into harming themself?
are you really being morally superior by being the reason someone hurts themself?
these characters are fiction. but the person you’re harassing in the name of being morally superior is a real person with real feelings.
if you find something that you don’t like, instead of going out of your way to harass someone, scroll past it, ignore it, mute it, block it. and focus on the things you do enjoy.
with everything that’s going on in the world right now, now is the time we need to keep fandoms safe. they’re the last source of happiness some people have left.

remember how in ATSV, Gwen's dad quits his job as a cop, because it required him to arrest innocent people, including his own daughter?
or how in Carmen Sandiego, Julia gives up her job as an investigator, after realizing that Carmen was a good person but the ACME still wanted to capture her?
i just wish we would have gotten something like this with Caitlyn. it's really disappointing to see a character with so much potential being completely assassinated like this.
at no point does Caitlyn realize that her job as an enforcer is only harming people.
at no point does she consider the fact that her own girlfriend was a victim of police brutality and classism, and that maybe she shouldn't continue to endorse and enable it.
there was an opportunity for growth, where Caitlyn realizes how much harm she has done, and thus decides to quit her job.
it's like the writers for s2 were completely different people, the way they entirely missed the point of the first season.

The practice of giving sedatives to people detained by police has spread quietly across the nation over the last 15 years, built on questionable science and backed by police-aligned experts, an investigation led by The Associated Press has found. Based on thousands of pages of law enforcement and medical records and videos of dozens of incidents, the investigation shows how a strategy intended to reduce violence and save lives has resulted in some avoidable deaths.
At least 94 people died after they were given sedatives and restrained by police from 2012 through 2021, according to findings by the AP in collaboration with FRONTLINE (PBS) and the Howard Centers for Investigative Journalism. That’s nearly 10% of the more than 1,000 deaths identified during the investigation of people subdued by police in ways that are not supposed to be fatal. About half of the 94 who died were Black, including Jackson.

I made an illegal u-turn to get on some kind of exit ramp, kind of accidentally cut someone off but they just pulled around me and sped away. A little further down the road I come upon that same person pulled over by a traffic cop, see their hand sticking out their window pointing at me, then the cop gestures for me to pull over also. I thought I was gonna get a ticket but the cop just wanted to referee while we fought to the death.

Alfonso Alto, the man with an ego as tall as his surname suggests, is on the brink of a great downfall. This entire time, there was a more sinister plan behind Postres de Alegría's competition. Alfonso's Bakery has been a front for his illicit activities, which include money laundering.  Some of his employees at his business have always viewed Alfonso as a shady man, but they stayed because bills needed to be paid. One of those employees was a young 18-year-old named Lisa. However, upon watching Dulce's exposé video, she began to question everything about the business. Who were the strange people who would come in at odd times to see her boss? Why did her boss sometimes tell customers "cash only" when the card reader was operating just fine? Why were they always having sales? Then, something happened that she could not ignore. One night when Lisa was closing the store, she came across a hidden ledger. She noticed the bookkeeping entries of large sums of money did not correspond with the bakery's official records. She took a moment to connect all the dots and expressed her concerns to local authorities. The investigation took some time, but the police were confident that Alfonso was also partaking in drug trafficking. Once enough evidence was collected, the police obtained a search warrant and raided Alfonso's house. What they found was undeniable proof. There is no way for him to escape the consequences of his actions now. The Alto Empire is no longer. The Alegrías do not have to worry about the Altos ever again.
Transcript:
Police Officer: Alfonso Alto. You are under arrest for money laundering.
Police Officer: I’ll be taking you to the county detention center where you’ll see the judge.

I have opinions on Gotham too. Like how they made my boy Jervis a wierd little freak who is in love with his sister >:(
What the fuck did they do to him. The incest was completely unnecessary and disgusting.
I like that they were fine with that plotline but the Riddler and the Penguin couldn't be gay HGFKSDJFHG like yeah there can be a weird incest freak but if two men make out we're burning it down

Guys during Halloween I went up to a guy with a police costume and said
'Hey your costume looks really convincing'
And then his radio went off
Quote, 'Yeah, I've been told that'
I told a police officer that he looks like a police officer
