Kes was so real for this. She’s been on board for like 5 episodes and she is taking the captain aside to question her beliefs and morals. Kes doesn’t get a lot of credit or attention in the fandom but she is an ally and a friend to someone who doesn’t even believe in his own right to be treated kindly and it’s so important to me actually.

Star Trek: Discovery ending after five seasons is not a victory for the trolls that hated it. They didn't make it happen. They didn't want the show to live beyond one season let alone five. They didn't bring it down, they just annoyingly happened to still be here when it ended.

This has been on my mind as I went through all of Stargate in 2020 and I’m currently on the Highlander TV series. Some old shows can’t help but appear cheesy in modern standards I imagine.

I've always said I want to retire to a Star Trek matte painting.

Star Trek matte paintings, by Syd Dutton. Romulus; the First City of the Klingon Empire; Ocampa Underground City; Cardassia Prime; and Gagarin IV. All except the third one (Voyager) are from TNG/DS9. (Matte paintings were often re-used across the different series.)

I've long been planing on making my own TV networks for my house. The idea is that I'll have a bunch of NTSC modulators hooked up to the internal cable TV network, so I can plug in an old 80s TV with clunky knobs and just watch my "usual shit" because they're always being broadcast within my house. I've got several firm ideas for channels:

Star Trek channel. All (4:3) Star Trek, all the time. Though I haven't decided how to arrange it: is Tuesday Voyager Day and it's 24 hours of Voyager, or does each day go through TOS/TAS/TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT in that order?

MST3K channel. Just all the episodes shuffled forever.

And some more personal ones: HIGNFY and Game Grumps channels, because I often go to sleep with those playing.

But I just now saw a post and realized I could make a channel that's just 24/7 women kissing each other. That wouldn't be hard to do!

I included episode titles from all twelve canon TV shows and all thirteen movies. I only counted nouns for the graph to avoid including boring words like “the” or “and”. I also counted plurals of a word as the same word (“stars” counts as “star”) and compound words where the singular word still carried the same meaning (“starship” counts as “star”).
