-reworked to be a snowdrift (alolan) ninetales because it makes more sense with the climate they live in and spike chunsoft are COWARDS for not including the regional variants of pokemon in gens 1-3 that got one.

-actually only has 8 tails (lost one in the havoc encounter).

gengar: havoc (he/him)

-his real (human) name was alphard. he discarded this name and adopted havoc instead after his transformation, as he was hoping that it would make others want to avoid him entirely, as he felt like he didn't deserve any kindness or decency after what he had done. unfortunately for him, medicham and adder (ekans) are stupid and like him. he starts using alphard again after tureis is saved.

-he has a permanent frostbite scar on his right hand from when he grabbed shiloh.

-team meanies fully disbands after tureis' rescue and gengar decides to spend his time giving back to the community in pokemon square for forgiving him. he pretty much becomes team fable's biggest fan and hypes up mayar and turies after she joins (newlin.....exists), not that he will ever admit it.

-after the tureis rescue, mayar tells alphard that regardless of what he's done in the past he's still deserving of love and compassion and that he's not a bad pokemon. alphard becomes smitten with her after that (<- guy that is desparate for companionship). mayar thinks that he's funny and forgives him for the whole "sending a violent mob after her and newlin" thing, and they hookup eventually. everybody in town (especially newlin) hates it but they're still supportive.

-other than newlin he becomes the most active participant in team fable's research into mega evolution when their focus shifts over to that.

gardevoir: tureis (she/her)

-joins team fable for a few years before eventually joining team charm after meeting lopunny. the switch from rescuing to exploring excites her, especially since she's been unable to go anywhere for years. mayar and newlin are very supportive of this. medicham also joins in hopes of getting stronger by travelling to make up for fainting in wish cave.

-being trapped took a heavy toll on her physical body that left her very ill for a long time. she couldn't do much without getting weak and winded, and was severely underweight upon being freed. everyone was supportive of her just doing what she can while part of the team (though she was barred from partaking in mega evolution research due to being a massive strain on the body and could be lethal in her condition). she's much healthier as of joining team charm, which is her main motivation for getting out there and travelling.

-there is a 30ish year gap between rt and explorers in my lore, so by the time she appears in explorers she's in her late 50s/early 60s. still kicking it!

-first image is her appearance in rt, second image is her appearance in explorers

-never recovers her memories of alphard but, for reasons she can't describe, she feels a strong kinship with him. the two become good friends.

For as long as Korie Turei could remember, it was just him and his mother. And to him, everything was perfect! What more could he have asked for - he had a successful mother dedicated to him and her career, he is in a relationship with his childhood best friend, and he is on the way to becoming Valedictorian!

On the outside, Dr. Kelley Turei was living the perfect life. She is one of Oasis Springs's top OB-GYNs and also has a seemingly perfect son. But working with couples, first-time parents, and families made Kelley realize she was missing something - a partner to share her happiness with. 

And that was exactly what Kelley was thinking about when she accidentally bumped into Dr. Demetrius Rollins. It seemed like fate to Kelley. Except, Demetrius had planned this “accidental” bumping for weeks. You see, Demetrius noticed Kelley when she first took Korie to his Orthodontist office two years ago. Hello! I understand that naming characters can be difficult, I also understand that when we create AU's in which a character is trans or hiding and need to create a deadname/fake name it can be a struggle. HOWEVER-

When it comes to naming Black OC's or giving characters like Sirius and Regulus genderbent/deadnames I will not take any excuses for things like "Siriana" and "Regina". That is about the only family in canon who already HAS a naming convention, and yes, I realise not all of them follow it. However most DO.

What are the kids Cybertronain names, if you've come up them at all yet?

Let me preface this with: These are the names on their official records and documentation on Cybertron, by which they are recognized by others outside of Team Prime + Co.

By anyone else, they're referred to as such. But Team Prime, will always call them their human names.

That said, Optimus was in the end the one to name them, with a bit of help from their secondary caretakers.

They were given a traditional Cybertronian name, and a second name, which was tied to the stars, Elita's idea, as she remembered fondly when Optimus was Orion.

It seemed only natural then, that the children have names too, tied to the celestial.

Miko: Starpiercer | Bellatrix [Star within the Orion Constellation] 'Female Warrior'

Chosen for her instinct to fly, to soar, ans her ferocity to fight, Miko's name was picked fondly by the Wreckers and Optimus. Befitting her nature.

It did amuse everyone when it was pointed out that the star chosen, was that of the Orion Constellation on Earth.

A fitting coincidence.

Jack: Silverlane | Regulus [Star within Leo] 'Little King'

Arcee surprised everyone when her suggestion of Regulus was made, but none could argue against it, especially after reminding them of how Jack had years ago, been proven worthy to hold the Key to Vector Sigma, and find it.

Though this did result in the nickname of Little Prime for about a week as well.

Raf: Lumen Charge | Tureis [ Star within Carina] 'Little Shield'

Ratchet took to researching alongside Optimus with great care. Raf was his apprentice after all, and so, when they found both names for the youngest of the three, they agreed no names fit better than this.

Despite his stature, age, and more, Raf had always been their shield, protecting them in ways that only he could.

Shalom Aleichem! One of the deepest aspects of Elul, Selichos, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and indeed the entirety of Tishrei is the reality of true Jewish unity, one which happens regardless of whether or not we are shomer shabbos, shomer kashrus, and shomer taharas hamishpocha… whether or not we are spiritually healthy, clean, and pure, or soiled, dirty, or, chas v’shalom, sick - and how much moreso those who are skirting the line between life and death every day of their lives. In Selichos we find many psukim which are normally written in singular (יהיו לרצון אמרי פי) and express them in plural (יהיו לרצון אמרי פינו) to indicate our unity with each other as we stand before Hashem.

This is expressed especially through the most sensitive times of Tishrei, on Rosh Hashana (where we beseech Hashem to accept OUR prayers in musaf), and on Yom Kippur (where we begin the entire davening by night with the words “with the permission of the heavenly court and the earthly court, we are henceforth allowed to pray alongside the transgressors”). It stands to reason that when it comes to anyone who is Jewish - either halachically Jewish by birth, or one who went through a proper orthodox conversion - it is more important than any other time of the year to judge them favorably and assume the best in them. Part of this may be assuming that a Jew who does not keep Torah simply was never taught how to fulfill aspects of the Torah, or that they never had the opportunity to learn (that they’re a tinuk shenishbe), and part of that may be assuming that they’ve gone through some trauma in their lives, or personal challenges that they are having difficulty overcoming, and that if we were in their situation, we may not do differently than they are.

This is expressed to the extreme in one of my favorite halachos (that I’ve come across so far), in Shulchan Aruch (Yoreh Deah 139:1). This section of Shulchan Aruch is the beginning of the laws concerning idolatry, and the extent of the prohibition thereof, and it begins by discussing the difference between idolatry that belongs to a Jew, and that which belongs to a non-Jew:

 Idolatry that belongs to a non-Jew is presumed prohibited to benefit or use from the point that it comes into their hands (or from the point that they make it, even though they have yet to bow down to it), but if they break it into pieces (and it’s no longer fit to worship), a Jew can benefit from the pieces. 

By contrast, idolatry that belongs to a Jew does not become prohibited to benefit from until they bow down to it (or commit any other act of idolatry that constitutes serving the idol), but once it has become prohibited, the materials will never become permitted to benefit from for a Jew - even if it has been broken - and must be disposed of in a permanent manner (such as dropping them off a boat in the middle of the sea, or burning them, and scattering the ashes in a place where they won’t benefit anyone).

 

The beautiful limud zchuss is in two essential parts as follows:

1) The Turei Zahav mentions that while in most cases, a Yehudi Mumar (a rebelling Jew, who violates certain prohibitions in public out of spite against G-d) is considered to be a non-Jew and cannot be relied upon for the Laws of Kashrus, Shabbos, or the like, and they cannot be called up to the Torah in shul, or counted for the minyan, in the case of the laws of idolatry, they are considered a Jew both for a leniency (their idolatry doesn’t become prohibited until it’s served) and for a stringency (their idolatry will never become permitted, even if they break it). The Turi Zahav concludes his thought; “Even though he is a sinner, he’s still a Jew.” 

2) The Remah adds on to the ruling of the Shulchan Aruch that if a Jew sets up an idol for the sake of idolatry, and a non-Jew bows down to it, it becomes prohibited to benefit from (even though a person generally cannot cause something that does not belong to them to become prohibited, since the Jew set up the idol for the purpose of idolatry, we have an exception to the rule). The Sifsei Kohen, commenting on the Remah’s ruling, says: “However, if the same non-Jew picks another idol from the house of the same Jew, stands it up, and bows down to it, it does not become prohibited, because perhaps the Jew only designated the idol he set up for idolatry for that purpose, but anything else in his house, he does not wish to use for that purpose.”

Regardless of the fact that this Jew is actively an idolator, committing full-on acts of idolatry, we still judge him favorably, assuming that anything else in his house, even if it looks and smells like idolatry, is nothing more than a decoration or a keepsake and remains permitted to benefit from. Despite his chazakah of being wicked, we still deem him to be righteous with regards to any action he has not clearly already done, and we do not assume that he will continue to sin in the future. In the merit of our limud zchuss on every Jew we meet, we should merit to be judged favorably by Hashem and be written down for blessing in the coming year, and merit the ultimate blessing, of our speedy and complete redemption!

According to the file, they’re a mutant with the power of RITUAL MAGIC. That must be why they’re CONFIDENT and SELF-SERVING. If you ask me, they remind me of a pendant placed beneath the harvest moon, the grandfather clock striking midnight, vultures hovering around the remains of a black cat. biography (optional): will be linked soon! brief overview while i work up the energy to finish writing it: was in a disconnected town (that would probs better be referred to as a settlement) in NZ that basically worshipped the moon, almost everyone there survived the meteors but became mutants, a lot of in-fighting until the cure but yk they killed the first round of people who came in with the cure, became targets after they were cured bc of that. lenore and friend used lenore's ritual magic to like idk basically kill intruders and turn them into zombies (the obeying type) but eventually learned that that also kept them semi-immortal! turned it into a ritual and brought visible mutants who were on the run in to keep them safe. would draw straws for the sacrifice to keep things fair (unless someone wanted to volunteer). friend volunteered eventually and lenore's inability to let go of her was really homoerotic but eventually she had to! moonscar was found and attacked again. with lenore as the only person left from the original moonscar, she made the executive decision that they would relocate to sol city - the settlement was nearby enough + accepted mutants. upon arrival, with their newfound safety, moonscar became more of a... drink wine with the girlies but also occasionally commit atrocities in the name of everlasting life and whatever it is that the other girlies need! <3

questionnaire:

how do they feel about living in sol city? have they always lived there or did they travel from another settlement? She has not always lived in Sol City and sees it as nothing more than a means to survive. Her previous settlement was constantly under attack by anti-mutant humans soon after the cure, so it eventually got to the point that... when she was basically the only person left who had been part of all that history, she was like 'okay guys, we're moving.' That occurred ~20yrs ago.

do they trust the council’s leadership? why or why not? Not really, but she's never paid them too much mind. Human beings are so temporary!

if they chose their sector and profession, why did they make that choice? if they didn’t, why not? were they happy with their assignment or not? She didn't choose either. Really, she had not been Working™ working for so long that she did not care Where she was put... like, for the most part. Janitor? No thank you. Waste disposal? No thank you. Test subject? No thank you. But, for the most part...? Anyway, philosopher has been working out!

what’s one object that they always keep on their person? A necklace with a moon pendant. (While it is not the cause of her mutation, it does amplify its power... even if only psychosomatically...)

what is your character’s ability (or abilities)? Ritual Magic

what can your character do? what are their strengths? Lenore is capable of... pretty much anything magical! The only caveat is that it must be done through some kind of ritual or another, hence the name. However, even without ritual, she can purify evil, gain control over someone (if so desired) by speaking their name, and gain power from prayer and worship. She has semi-immortality -- an immortality that is dependent on her ability to provide sacrifices -- and werecat physiology on certain days of the month. On those days of the month, she has advanced senses and possesses the powers that go along with feline physiology.

what can’t they do? what are their weaknesses? For the most part, it's not a 'wave your hand and it happens' type of magic, there are steps Lenore must take for most of the magic. She can do some cool shit! Raise the dead, possess people, bestow powers... she just needs to complete a ritual for most of it. She will also, without fail, turn into a werecat every Harvest moon. Of course, that's less concerning now that the environment and the Earth's relationship to the sun and moon... is the way it is, but... In addition, while she may be perceived as immortal, she is not. Every month, she must provide one 'human' sacrifice (mutants are accepted, but... mutants are superior -- if they can get a human, they're gonna get a human). When given the option, Lenore (and Moonscar as a whole) will pick a human who's just shitty, but if that option doesn't arise, there has to either be a volunteer or they have to draw straws... and, as the leader, Lenore has become exempt because she's terrified of death.

is there anything else you’d like to specify about them? 1) On the physiology side, as a Gen I mutant, she, of course, has some visible qualities. None are too glaring -- golden eyes with slit pupils, a light tabby-esque striping, sharp canine teeth and nails -- but... ya know, when she's a werecat, please do picture the werecats from Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (which is also where the name Moonscar originated from <3). If they were live action, Simone and/or Lena would have been her secondary FC! 2) I will be writing an in-depth blurb on Moonscar because it has a RICH history that will be covered A LOT in her official intro, but... just some quick basics: has been in action since the 1800s and started as more of a settlement, shit got real after the meteor when there was a total massacre, recruited various visible mutants as a way to protect them with Ritual Magic, they were found again, they moved the base to Sol City to fly under the radar and things have gotten a lot chiller since then and also... a lot less extreme since they are not constantly under threat... more 'wine with the girlies' now, but still... any ritual, however disturbing, needed for [XYZ] -- that's what they're there for!
