Gotta say the heavily politicized nature of this website quite frankly ruined it. You can’t even be involved in a fandom these days, unless your political ideology matches the chosen leader, and discord manager of whatever that fandom is. At least back in 2010 the crazies were kept in their bubbles. What happened to the good old days when we just wrote smut and talked about our favorite TV shows together without giving a shit about what our gender ideology and political compass were??? It was a goofy little place to hang out and kick our feet. Now it’s just a fucking cesspool of extremist on both sides who don’t wanna listen to anyone who might have a middle ground conversation because God forbid you fight back against big brothers social segregation and learn from each other. God forbid any of you fucking hear an opinion that’s not yours or do any research about a topic that you don’t fucking agree with. This behavior is literally what’s leading to the downfall society on every front. This isn’t a conservative issue. This isn’t a liberal issue. I’m literally watching you brainwash yourselves and lobotomize each other and cheer it on. Because of Tumblr, I literally have no hope for the future. I do hope that Gen X and Z are the last generation of humans and we go full fall out and just kill each other. Because at this point there’s no fucking hope. Humanity is done. It's with a heavy heart that I announce that I, thanks to Tumblr's idea to sell out to AI, have decided to delete Life of a Scourge's blog and start a new on BlueSky. This is incredibly ridiculous and is starting to irritate me how much I've had to limit myself as an artist when it comes to my audience -- but it is what it is I suppose.

Please, I advise my Life of a Scourge Fans to follow my main account on BlueSky (linked below), and I'll be working on creating a BlueSky account for Life of a Scourge as well, and starting a new there, if possible.

Come March 12th -- all of my blogs, including this one, will be deleted -- and I will announce on my main BlueSky account when LoaS' BlueSky account is up and running.

i dont get the “tumblr is dead” at all tbh. my feed is fresh every time i open the app. i have had conversations with many people on this app. when you interact with people and appeal to the interests of other people, they talk back. post stuff people care about and they’ll find you, or find out what people care about and participate there. emphasis on the latter. reach out if you want engagement so bad

Being on Tumblr feels like seeing a bunch of people together just to discover they're holding your funeral procession. You keep telling them you're alive and well, and in fact you are more worried about the state of some of your neighbours, but all of the people respond with a solemn "it's almost like I can hear their voice..."

And then you're pretty sure you just heard one of your neighbours' houses fucking explode.
