hello fellow shades. hades 2 nation. free icarus reminder for the night: not only did he burn, he drowned after. maybe it's just my experience with dying via drowningš but i think we should play in that particular space more.
melis not the sun, and she's never going to be. she's not the moon beat for beat either. shes the beautiful distorted reflection of the moon on churning powerful waves, shifting, a bright spot in an almost perfect void. and when you fall (and you will fall) its going to hurt, that impact, the water filling your lungs, the weightlessness disorienting, but you look for it, that reflection, that fixed point...
cough. anyway, how we feelin' tonight. we good?

There arent words in any language that can describe the amount of desire i have for a fic like this. What do I need to sacrifice to make it happen??
Hades and persephone jegulus au but like reverse where James keeps showing up with flower crowns to give regulus and follow him around while he does his godly duties and regulus tries his best to keep him away and one day when he goes outside and finds James playing with cerberus he finally cracks and just
In full exasperation. "how the fuck do you even keep getting down here???"
(Charon aka Evan, thanatos aka barty, Styx aka dorcas, and hecate aka pandora are all rooting for jegulus and let him in but james ain't no snitch)
Regulus pretends he hates it but when James is gone for a week for whatever reason it leaves regulus in a downright foul fucking mood and makes it everybody's problem and by day three of no James every entity residing in the underworld has taken it upon themselves to abduct James and never let him leave again the next time he finally comes down.
Lowkey Reg kept every single flower crown magically preserved in a display in his bedroom

"With a scream, you bent back as a beam of brilliant light shot out of your chest, illuminating the sky with crimson stars. Each one bright. Each one filled with memories you knew were yours but couldn’t recall like lifetimes come and gone. Or universes born and destroyed."
Ever since you resontated with Sylus you have been having weird dreams. Or a story in which you are bound to Sylus again and he becomes clingyier than usual.
Tumblr media
You dreamt of red mist encasing you in its warm embrace, licking at your heels, and trailing its ghostly lips along your body. Leaving in its wake skin the shade of sunset and a heart so full it could burst. You dreamt of it traversing the surface of your soul, gathering the embers of your evol and moulding them with its own before huddling into the open void in your chest.
A groan left you as the mist disappeared under your skin. Despite the initial discomfort, you didn’t hate the oddly familiar sensation of being whole.
You took an unsteady step forward. Beneath your feet, you could no longer feel the ground. Above you, the starless sky loomed. You blinked refocusing your eyes, believing they were the issue, not the lack of starlight. But nothing changed.
You heard the caw of a crow. In the darkness, you saw its ruby eyes watching you, piercing through your skin, and staring straight into your soul. Your heart thumped, beating faster, harder, growing hotter with every passing second. You keeled over, clutching your chest.
Your power, you heard the mist say. Yours.
You felt the bird's keen eyes as light burst through the cracks between your taut fingers. With a scream, you bent back as a beam of brilliant light shot out of your chest, illuminating the sky with crimson stars. Each one bright. Each one filled with memories you knew were yours but couldn’t recall like lifetimes come and gone. Or universes born and destroyed.
The dream dissipated and your eyes fluttered open to see fire dancing in turbulent strokes in the fireplace, charring the wood that fuelled it. In the distance you heard the quiet murmuring of a film on the flat screen. You slapped your lips tiredly, rubbing your cheek against the warm, unusually hard cushion you clung to.
“This movie is boring. You should go back to sleep,” Sylus said, brushing your cheek gently. The tender touch was scolding on your skin.
You nuzzled your head further into the hard cushion. A deep chuckle shook through it.
“What are you thinking about, kitten?” Sylus asked.
His heart raced against your ear, burning through its beats as though it were chasing death. It must have been night, you reckoned. His heart was only ever this fast in the dark.
“Sylus…” you whispered groggily.  Your focus locked on the familiar necklace resting on his chest—an empty aether core? A Protocore? A simple crystal? You yawned, blinking once, twice…three times. Wait Sylus!
You shot up, attempting to pull away. But finding your movement restricted by an inhumane force, you fell back on top of him.
“Surprise. We’re not going anywhere anytime soon.” He lifted his arm and yours lifted too revealing the glowing crimson evol link cuffing you to the renowned Onychinus leader. “Were you thinking of getting rid of me again?”
The amused smirk on his lips told you he wasn’t angry, but rather entertained.
“No,” you responded.
“Being quick to respond only confirms your guilt, sweetie.”
You tugged your arm, pulling his too.
He grunted quietly. “Your defiance is getting old.”
“Maybe if you stopped putting me in awkward situations it wouldn’t,” you responded.
He sighed and squinted at you.
“What? Nothing to say for yourself? ” you teased.
“Silence is also an answer.” He lowered his head closer to yours. “And I like to think that actions speak louder than words.”
Sylus was a gorgeous man; breathtaking to say the least. Just being close to him made your heart betray you in ways you hated. You let out a gasp. “Sy—,”
His phone buzzing on the coffee table interrupted you. He grabbed his phone and put it on silent.
“What time is it?” you asked. You tried to peer at the screen’s reflection in Sylus’s frameless glasses but failed.
He turned his screen to you. “Nearly two am.”
“Why are you here? Don’t you have some gang to bully? Or some notorious deals to strike?” you asked. It had been a coincidence, your bumping into each other whilst you were taking a three day vacation from Linkon in one of the outskirt islands. A pure innocent coincidence—according to Sylus. You struggled to believe that, however, as it wasn’t the first time Sylus had conveniently appeared at the same place as you. Seemingly with nothing to do but be mysterious and strange and there.
He shook his head. “Have you forgotten?”
You had forgotten but only because of your dream. It wasn’t every day you had a nightmare so vivid that it tore you out of your sleep. It hadn’t always been every day. Only since you made the mistake of resonating with this unlikely ally.
“You got injured snowboarding with your colleagues. And I happened to be returning back to the resort when they saw me and pawned you off. Apparently they wanted to do another few rounds with the people they met.”
You frowned. You only vaguely remembered the incident. More so the tree that you had wiped out against. Everything else was a blur. You knew sylus had no reason to lie, so you chose to believe him. It wasn’t like Sylus and your colleagues didn’t know each other to some degree. Sharing a karaoke booth with Sylus was enough time for anyone to develop a trauma bond. It was like war…without the bloodshed. “Doesn't explain where they are now.”
“I used your phone to tell them I’d watch you for the night—ease their minds.”
“How valiant of you,” you ad-libbed.
“I did try to leave after making sure your condition wasn’t critical but you asked me to stay,” Sylus said. “Then you pulled me onto this couch with you and this happened.” He gestured to the link.
You looked away flustered. “Must have slipped my mind.”
“You’re so air-headed, kitten,” Sylus tutted.
The depth of his voice rattled you; made your skin feverish and a sudden flush spread through you. You noted your sudden reaction to his voice as an after effect of your accident. You straightened hoping fixing your posture would disperse the settling arousal. And in some pseudoscientific way, it did.
Mephisto squaking in the corner snapped your mind back to the crow in your dream. “Sylus, can I ask you a question?” you asked. You were being abstract but with this burning question fresh on your mind you didn't care.
“You just did.”
You rolled your eyes but asked anyway: “Do crows have dreams?”
“Is that seriously what you are asking me right now?” he responded.
“I’m being serious.” Your voice remained steady as your head lifted high.  “Does Mephisto dream?” you asked motioning with your eyes to the mechanical bird.
Sylus’s gaze followed.
Mephisto lifted his wings in response.
“Whether Mephisto does or doesn’t dream is beyond me. He is a mechanical bird after all. Dreaming isn’t something I programmed into him. If he were to dream, I suppose it would be recounts of recorded data or lines of code,” Sylus said.
Mephisto cawed again.
Sylus looked back at you. “Does that answer your question?”
  You shook your head.
He sighed and cocked his head. He didn’t appear too surprised by your lack of satisfaction, more so by your inability to believe hard fact. “Then enlighten me, do you believe doves dream?”
Remembering the dove you had saved a few months back, you nodded.  “Yes.”
“So, why would crows be any different?”
“Okay, sorry for not thinking things all the way through, Mr philosophical,” you muttered.
He chuckled. “I was just answering your question, sweetie.”
You yawned.
“You should get back to sleep,” Sylus whispered. “It’s still late for you. And I’d like to be free sometime soon.”
“I can’t,” you said.
His phone buzzed in his hand taking his attention. “Nightmare?”
“Nightmare,” you agreed.
He hummed listlessly as he scrolled through his phone, typing and swiping. “Am I allowed to ask what it was about?”
“It’s nothing really.”
Sighing, Sylus placed down his phone. “You still should rest... Do you want me to sing you a lullaby?”
“Oh no, please God no. I’d rather have Mephisto sing to me.” You physically cringed.
Mephisto squawked in protest.
Sylus ignored your dread. “Do you want me to tell you a story then?”
“No.”
He glanced at you. “I thought you quite enjoyed the last one?”
“I don’t know what Kieran and Luke told you a story is, but I think you have it misconstrued.” You wanted to cross your arms but remembered the link binding your arm to his.
“Oh?” He quipped. “It has a beginning, middle, and an end. Perhaps also a little filler to transition from plot point to plot point. That’s a story, sweetie.”
“And the demonstration?” you asked.
“Audience participation.”
“I think you'll find that serves the opposite effect of telling someone a bedtime story.” You recalled the bites that had stained your skin pinks and purples the day after his ‘story.’  Which, much to his enjoyment, resulted in you having to extend your trip as there was no way you could go back to work in that state. Not unless you lied. And as good as you were, you knew no one would believe you had been attacked by a Wanderer.
Not Tara, who was obsessed with the idea of you and Sylus being more than friends ever since she met him. Nor Nero in Data Analysis because he was a bit of a freak when it came to anything concerning Wanderers. So you imagined a lie of that sort wouldn’t slip past him. And if it somehow did, you didn’t want to end up in a heated conversation about the potential mating rituals of Wanderers. Nero’s fascination was weird enough as it was without going anywhere near that topic.
“You fell asleep, didn’t you?” Sylus said.
You had… eventually. And unfortunately, when you had fallen asleep—exhausted from his playful bites, you’d slept the most soundly you had in years. Right in the arms of this criminal. You stomach churned at the memory. A hunter and a wanted mob boss…how unprofessional. “Because you were relentless.”
“Don’t act so innocent. You were actively enjoying our little roleplay. And as I recall you were the one who said I looked like a vampire.”
The tips of your ears burned. You stared up at the ceiling to avoid his gaze.
The empty ceiling stared back at you like a starless night; an endless void…a pit of nothing.
Your wrist tingled with the heat of the link binding you to Sylus. You felt a strange familiarity spreading up your arm. One that followed you out of your dreams. “Sylus…”
 “What is it?”
“Do you dream?” you whispered, staring into the darkness. You could hear his quiet contemplation from beside you.
“Not often,” he responded.
“Really?”
“You sound so surprised…” Sylus said.  “Dreams aren’t for those without hearts, sweetie.”
“You keep saying that,” you said.
“I keep saying—”
You could feel his stare. Slowly turning your head, you looked at him. “That you have no heart. I don’t believe it. Someone without a heart wouldn’t take care of me when I hit my head and listen to me when I ask them to stay.” You paused. “Okay...hypothetically, what do you dream about?”
He slipped his free arm under your shoulder and pulled you back toward his chest. “Why are you suddenly so curious about my dreams? Is it something to do with this nightmare?”
“No, I just—” you lied. The words fell out of your mouth like vomit.
He chuckled. “I don’t care for dreams because everything I could want I can get. And nightmares—well, you already know that there isn’t much in this universe scarier than me.”
“Must be nice to have the means to buy whatever you want.”
“You clearly don’t know me if you assume everything I want can be bought.”
“Can’t it?” You searched his gaze for some kind of answer, as if by searching those red pools you might see his desire. But instead, it stared right back at you; soft, unwavering, beckoning.
Come to me.
You looked away.
“No,” he said.
You dreamt of laying on the top of a hill dressed in a gown of white silk. You didn’t know how you arrived here, or why you were dressed in such finery. Flowers surrounded you, red-stained daisies and carnations, swaying in the gentle night breeze. You plucked one and held it up to your nose. It smelt of fresh pollen and mint. You hummed in approval, not questioning the oddity, and picked another, and another, till in your arms you held a bundle of red flowers.
You smiled warmly at your beautiful collection. A bundle of love and devotion, picked by you—for you. You decided then that you liked this place. This starless night haven of endless flowers. And thought, if this dream was the place you would be stuck forever then eternity didn’t sound too bad.
Just as the thought passed through your mind something spawned in the bundle. A pomegranate. You’d never seen one spawn from flowers. You didn’t know one could do so. It was so beautiful, however, that you didn’t think to question it.
At the sight, your stomach rumbled. You weren’t hungry until then. Or rather you hadn’t noticed you were hungry until the opportunity to eat arrived. It was like this place had read into your soul and presented you with your desire before you could even desire it. Was this paradise or a paradise lost?
Dropping the flowers, you lifted the pomegranate. With a twist, the ripe fruit split in half in your hand. You’d never seen a pomegranate so easy to split; usually, you would need a knife.
The juice stained your white dress in droplets of blood-like splotches. It dribbled down your hand leaving a sticky trail. You licked the mess off your skin before you picked up some of the fallen seeds—three to be exact—and ate them. They were sweet in your mouth.
Ravenous, you ate another, and then one more. And after that one more.
You only ate six. You knew because, at that moment, a red shackle appeared on your wrist and a hellish scream tore through the air. Your head shot up in wonder, like a prey alarmed by the snap of a twig. In the distance, a volcanic beam of light erupted into the sky. You recognized it by the familiar ache that resonated through you, but you didn’t know why. You shielded your eyes as you watched crimson stars fill the empty sky, covering the expanse in colourful noise, and leaving in its wake a hole in space and time.
Forgetting your flowers and pomegranates, you wiped your hands on your stained white silk dress. You reached up with a single hand toward the tunnel. You didn’t know why you did it. You didn’t understand what this feeling was that you were chasing. You only knew that you longed for it. You needed it like you needed air to breathe and eyes to see. Perhaps this was love?
Crimson shone between the gaps of your fingers, blinding you of anything but the tunnel. It gaped and shrivelled in intervals as if it were alive.
Come to me, said a voice from the tunnel.
Its coo guided you to your feet. But even on the tips of your toes, you were no closer to the heavens than you were before.
Come to me, it said again. It beckoned to you… calling your name. Its voice was clearer, familiar.
You knew that you knew it.
You reached further. Biting the inside of your cheek, your strain began to show on your face. If you reached anymore you were going to fall. But you were so desperate, you didn’t even care. You needed this—needed it.
The hole stretched and a mangled inhuman hand pushed through. Its long-scorched fingers reached out to yours.
Just when your hand was about to touch it, you pulled back. “No,” you said in a moment of hesitation. “I must go home.”
The mangled hand recoiled before shooting forward to grab you.
You evaded it, losing your footing.
Come, it said again. Come to me.
Terror claimed you. It burnt the sky around you from night-to-day and scorched the flowers beneath your bare feet.
Stay with me.
The earth shook.
Losing your footing, you rolled down the hill, tumbling in cartwheels through the bleeding flowers. Daises and carnations filled your mouth. Red paint dyed your dress. You sealed your eyes shut. You couldn’t tell if it was the earth shaking or just you.
You wished the dream away. You prayed for the familiar darkness. You prayed for ignorance—for the you you lost to knowledge. But most of all, you prayed for the cold.
You awoke in a king-sized bed covered in dark silk sheets. Sylus’ bed, you thought. He must have moved you when it had gotten closer to his time for bed. But Sylus was nowhere to be seen.
You sat up and looked around. The night light beside the bed lit the room showcasing the extravagant dark furniture. The sound of water running through the foggy glass doors to the en-suite bathroom, and the off-key hummed rendition of some jazz he had on loop informed you of Sylus’ location.
“He’s showering,” you whispered to yourself.
Mephisto cawed from where he was perched.
When you stared at him, he lifted his wings and cawed again.
“I don’t speak crow,” you responded.
“And he doesn’t speak human,” Sylus said, closing the door to the bathroom. Steam pulsed off his wet body as he emerged in only a fluffy white towel.
You gulped, closing your legs under the covers. Not that it would do anything for the feelings that arose from the sight of him. Not even disgust could repel your natural desire for someone so physically alluring.
“I thought you were showering,” you said tightly.
Sylus scoffed. “And you were asleep. I guess we were both wrong, kitten.”
You frowned.
Sylus approached the dresser and lifted the hairdryer. Slicking back his hair, he began to dry it with the dryer.
You shuffled to the edge of the bed and held out your hand for the hairdryer. “Let me do that.”
Catching your reflection in the mirror, he turned to you. “What? You want to do this for me?” he asked, switching off the hairdryer. His damp hair fell onto his forehead.
You flicked your hand impatiently. Your eyes actively avoided falling below his collarbones. “I’m trying to be nice… since you didn’t wake me when the link untangled and all. Thank you for that by the way. And sorry I took up your entire night.”
His brows furrowed. “You’re the only person I’d excuse taking up my time. Besides, that’s just common decency, sweetie.”
You blushed and gestured again for the hairdryer. You couldn’t fall for his pretty words. You weren’t that stupid. Halting your thoughts, you cleared your throat and corrected your posture. “Still—I feel like I owe you and this will make us even.”
“Okay, deal.”
You half expected him to counter your statement and ask for more. You wouldn’t have faulted him if he had. You knew what you were suggesting wasn’t an even repayment for the time he lost, but for a man who had everything this was the only thing you could do on the fly.
His tall frame casted a shadow over you as he approached; all damp skin and wet hair. He handed you the wireless hairdryer. And then sitting on the ground at the foot of the bed, he sighed. “I didn’t know all I needed to do to get you to be nice to me was let you sleep.”
You rolled your eyes and shuffled back a little after feeling the heat of his wet body on the inside of your thighs. You tried to keep a small amount of distance not wanting to accidentally touch him. You leaned forward and cursed inaudibly at the difficult angle.
“I don’t know what hair you’re going to be drying from back there,” he cooed. Wrapping his hands around your ankles, he pulled you closer to him.
“Hey!” You yelped, sliding forward till you inner thighs pressed against his wet shoulders.
“That’s better,” he said, letting go.
 “You’re crude.”
“I was just making your job easier, kitten,” he purred.
You nudged his shoulder with your thigh and turned on the dryer. Your finger ran through his hair as you watched the water dry out and the soft greyish-white return.
Sylus closed his eyes and leaned his head back till you could see his face.
You paused. “You’re not making this easier for me,” you said, peering down at him.
He chuckled deeply. “I can’t help the fact that you have magic hands, I’ve never been so relaxed.”  He lifted his arms and rested them atop your knees like armrests. “Have you ever thought of changing careers?”
You snickered. “Are you sure you’re rich? Surely, you’ve had much better treatment than this.”
Sylus laughed with you. The sound called you broke in every way but with words. It reminded you of aged wine and expensive cuff-links, two things you had never associated with a voice until him.
You turned off the dryer and placed it on the bed.
“Why did you stop?” Sylus opened his eyes. He stared up at you from your lap. And for a man so good at being invulnerable, he looked extremely soft.
 “Your hair is dry.”
“So it is.” Sylus lifted his head. “Thank you.”
Mephisto cawed loudly and swooped out of the room. Taking Mephisto’s departure as your sign to escape too, you began to shuffle back,.
“Where are you going?” Sylus wrapped his hands around your ankles once again stopping you.
“Mephisto is gone,” you stated as if the answer was obvious.
“And? He’s a bird, it’s not good for him to stay in one place. You’re not a bird, are you?”
You could see the hurt in his eyes.
“But it’s morning. I have stuff to do. And you should get some sleep,” you said.
“What stuff?” he asked.
You shrugged. You didn’t have many plans—maybe meet up with your colleagues. Not that they were concered about your whereabouts. Your phone hadn’t rung once.
“Since you don’t know, why don’t you stay? Your flight back to Linkon isn’t for a few days yet.” Sylus suggested, letting go of your ankles.
“Stay?”
He stood from the ground and by some will of the gods his towel stayed on. “Yes, stay…with me. It’ll be just us.” He placed his knee on the bed.
Your spine stiffened as you backed away. “I can’t lay around all day.”
“So, it’s okay that I did? Come on, sweetie, that’s not fair. Stay..” He placed his hands on either side of your head, caging you. He leaned down, his lips brushing the shell of your ear. “I promise, I’ll make it worth your while.”
You pushed his chest gently—not exerting any real effort. “I dried your hair.” As much as you wanted to leave, you weren’t opposed to being stuck under him. Any sane woman wouldn’t be, especially when he was like this.
He caught your wrists and pinned them to the sheets by either side of your head. “Come on, kitten, we both know that was wasn’t an even deal.”
“What if Tara comes looking for me? Or the rest of my colleagues?” you spluttered.
“They know you’re with me. They won’t disturb,” he purred.
You pursed your lips. You knew he was right. That didn’t mean you wouldn't stop trying. “What about Mephisto? He might—“
“No one is going to disturb us, sweetie,” Sylus interrupted. “Just say you’ll stay. You were restless the entire night.”
“And you’re the one who is restless now,” you retaliated. In the settled silence, you could almost hear the thump of his heart. “Besides, I’m not tired.”
“We can fix that. Come on, sleep with me.”
You gave him an unimpressed side-eye.
“What if I said I wanted to hear a story? Would you tell me one?” he asked. He let go of one of your hands and trailed his fingers down the side of your face. Tucking them under your jaw, he guided you to look at him. His darkened gaze fell between your eyes and lips, dancing caution. Like you were a deer caught in headlights ready to disappear with any sudden movement.
“Why are you suddenly being so clingy?” you asked.
He hummed. “Am I?”
You nodded. “And you’re being too nice.”
“Are you saying I’m crass, miss?”
“Yes,” you breathed.
His eyes narrowed playfully. “Let’s say for your sake that I’ve learnt not to scare an easily startled kitten.”
“How kind…”
With his fingers still under your chin, he guided your head off the sheets, bringing you closer to him. “So, what do you say. It is a simple yes or no…sweetie?” He peered at you through thick eyelashes.
“Why should I?”
“I can hear your heart beating in sync with mine,” he said, bringing you closer.
“You’ve got me pinned to your bed—of course my heart is racing.”
“I can see the desire to stay in your eyes.” He brought you closer.
You scanned his face, barely millimetres away. “Still not good enough,” you said.
He let out a low scoff, looking directly into your eyes. “Because I need you,” he whispered against your lips.
And then he kissed you.
When you closed your eyes, you saw an expanse of dark teal grass dusted with withered, red-stained daisies and carnations. You looked around, first at the red silk dress draped over your body, and then at the tail of mangled dark scales trapping you. Beside you rested the head of the dragon-like creature, protecting you in its slumber. Your eyes traced its surface, taking in its shape and appearance—the long forked tail, wanderer-like body, and large horns. It was like nothing you’d seen before. And yet, you weren’t afraid of it.
You followed its scales with your hand until you reached its face. It stirred beneath your touch. Its deep, unconscious breaths halted as you stared into the giant red eye of the creature. Its pupil slit as it watched you, unmoving, as if waiting for your reaction—the screaming and shouting.
You dropped your hand. You hadn’t meant to wake the beast.
A low grumble reverberated through the creature’s body, one of disapproval.
You crawled slowly toward its face, watching its reaction for any signs to stop.
It stared at you, unblinking.
“Hello there,” you said, stopping beside its high cheekbone and deep crimson eye.
It didn’t respond, continuing to silently observe you.
“Do you have a name?” you asked.
Silence.
A sharp squawk made you look up as a crow flew in circles over the two of you. In the star-sprinkled sky, the crow was a black shadow with beady red eyes passing in flashes. Its speed caused feathers to flutter off its body and cascade down to the ground.
You lifted your hand and watched as a single dark feather landed on your palm. A smile curved on your lips as you admired the large feather, bigger than any crow’s feather you’d seen before—about half the length of your arm. You lifted the feather to the creature.
“For you,” you said to the creature, unsure of whether it could understand you or not. You knew you should have been afraid of the monster. You knew you should have run when you had the chance. But something about it seemed defenseless—tired.
It glanced down, motioning for you to place the feather on the ground.
You put it close to the creature’s jaw. “Where did you come from?”
It didn’t respond.
“What is this place?”
The creature moved its head closer to you, offering its snout.
You placed your hand on the creature’s face. “I suppose you don’t speak human,” you said. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed a wound oozing thick blood. Your hand moved to it, blocking the hole in its chest.
At the added pressure, the creature grumbled. Slowly, its eyes closed as if to sleep—or perhaps even to die.
“Did you get this whilst protecting me?” you asked. You knew the creature needed healing, or some kind of regeneration. But its core was shattered. Under your fingers, you could only sense how weak it had gotten. It was not strong enough to keep the creature alive, let alone save it.
The creature blinked slowly.
You took that as a yes. “You shouldn’t have done that. You don’t even know me.”
It blinked again, slower this time as you felt its soul slipping from its body.
“I can help you,” you said.
You could help it. It was an ability you had, a one-time bonus that came with having your resonance evol. And you would use it—even if it cost you your power. Even if it bound you to this creature for eternity.
The creature made a sound of disapproval. And with its little strength, it moved away.
You froze so as not to anger it further. Movement was only making the creature’s wound worse.
“I promise I won’t hurt you. Think of it as repayment—common decency, if you will.” You waited for it to move again. When it didn’t, you approached it, lifting your hand. “May I?”
The creature didn’t respond, its breaths deepening.
“Thank you,” you smiled, placing your hand over the wound again. The tips of your fingers glowed as white mist gathered the embers of his evol and molded them with your own before sealing itself in the hole in his chest.
“Don’t close your eyes,” you said, mostly to yourself. “Stay with me.”
Sylus’s hand under your chin brought you back to reality as it moved to rest on the base of your throat, over your chest bone. His other hand, still holding your other wrist, unravelled. Trailing up to your palm, his fingers caressed the smooth skin before he intertwined your fingers  with his. He didn’t exert any force. No, he was careful. His body wishing, pleading, begging with yours for something beyond your awareness. Something only your soul could answer.
You could hear it promising you everything…the world, the universe. At the small price of…you. You knew he meant it. You knew this feeling. You’d felt it in your dreams. Or were they visions? Or perhaps memories from a different you.
Somewhere in the back of your mind, you remembered the mangled inhuman creature and the sweet, damning taste of pomegranate seeds. And you wondered if this was how you would lose your soul—without ever being told it was on the market.
You broke the kiss. Instantly, you missed the minty taste of his lips.
“Was I too rough?” Sylus asked. Dishevelled. Searching.
You had never seen him so disgruntled. Not since he was told you were disgusted by him after you’d met.
You shook your head.
“So, it’s something else then?” Sylus began to pull away. His hand slipped from yours, taking the connection with him.
You wanted to be thankful for your freedom…but it was too late, you already resigned yourself to your feelings.
You missed the heat.
You missed him.
Stay with me.
Was this delirium? Or some kind of Stockholm Syndrome? Loving a creature so twisted—so different from you. One who only wore the skin of a prince to lure in and devour the heart of a princess.
“Sylus,” you said. Sitting up, you caught him around his neck before he could get too far away. And with the strength you had left, you pulled him back to you. And kissed him. Silently telling him that you wanted this—you wanted him.
All of him.
And whatever that choice brought with it.
You knew he wasn’t perfect. In other lives maybe you hadn’t chosen to stay—to remain with him and his promises of grandeur amongst the destruction he sought. Maybe this time you’d chosen the path least trekked with the monster whose intent was only ever written about in the annals of history as that of the slain and evil. Ultimately, you didn’t care. You supposed that thought alone was immoral.
Sylus moaned into the kiss. It was quiet, guttural, and just enough to make you want more. You let him guide you back onto the dark silk sheets, your lips moving together all the while.
“I will,” you said between kisses. “I’ll stay.”
He didn’t say anything in response. He didn’t need to. His actions spoke louder than any words either of you could have said.

thinking of luke finding his best friend high at one of those parties they secretly hold at camp…
semi inspired by murdrdocs’ blurb abt smoking w luke & princessbrunette’s blurb abt jj finding his innocent friend high!!
Tumblr media
typically luke never came to these, he was never really a party person, just until you’re texting him some sloppy words that barely make any sense— so now he’s weaving his way through the mess of trees towards the booming music in the distance. did they know how to not get caught?
luke’s nose scrunches as soon as he gets close enough to make out where you might be in that bright pink skirt he always saw you in, his steps move faster, especially since you’re talking to some asshole from the hades cabin. his jaw shifts as soon as he plants his hands on your shoulders, pupils cinched as he glares at the man you’re speaking with.
“oh, hey, luke!” you smile so sweet, a little too sweet, in fact, you smell.. he blinks once, then again, then again. to be honest, you don’t really remember texting luke, and it’s always a pleasant surprise to see him appear out of nowhere.
“hey, uh, lets go, yeah?” his hands are gentle when they move you to take a step or two back from the brooding man who clearly looks disappointed, if not a little agitated, with luke’s arrival.
“but ‘m having fun, do you want to meet my friend? this is my friend—“
“yeah, yeah,” luke stares at the man for a second, “hey, dude, ‘kay, time to go.”
“seems like she doesn’t want to,” the man suddenly speaks, and it should be a blessing from hades himself that luke doesn’t have his sword strapped to his belt.
“seems like she does since she texted me,” his tone is firmer, a certain bitterness and bite to it, “should be lucky ‘m too busy to rip that smartass smirk off your face.”
the last sentence comes out as a mumble as he gently guides you away from the party, having to take more of a precaution than usual since you’re stumbling an awful lot. god, how much did you smoke.
“why’d you say that to him—“
“mmm, no reason— hey.. jus’ asking but, you didn’t get that weed from one of the guys there, right?” you seemed much more than just high, unless you smoked like, five blunts— gods, did you?
“no, nono, got it from um.. lucy, she said it was reaaaalllyyyy strong but like— i only smoked a little,” he hums along to your non - stop giggles, failing to keep his hands from your shoulders since every time he lets go you nearly walk into a tree.
“yeah, yup, jus’ a little, you know, uh.. you could always just ask to smoke with me,” he shrugs like it’s simple.
“wooow, you smoke..?” you ask very slowly all of a sudden.
“what, you think ‘m not cool enough to?” he tuts, steering you to the hermes cabin, which is of course, empty as it always is. you were sure the hermes kids were all dead by now since every time you’re in the cabin it’s vacant, well, besides chris, but he’s always glaring at luke and leaving to bother clarisse.
“not what i said—“ you frown up at him, and he just nods, moving to sit you down on his bed as he inspects your face to make sure you’re solely high on weed— you really do reek of it, gosh, maybe he should spray his cologne on you. he doesn’t get more time to think before you’re pawing at him, “miss you, luke, talk to me.”
he chuckles at the hazy glint in your eyes, “c’mon, princess, ‘m not the man for that job.”
you hook a finger around one of the belt loops on his jeans, tugging him in closer, “what do you mean?”
“‘m your friend,” it comes out hushed, breathy, “jus’ here to take care of you.”
“so take care of me,” your eyes catch on to the bulge forming in his pants, a lazy smile curving your lips upwards.
he pauses for a second, considering, before unhooking your hand from his pants and moving you to lay down on his bed, “time to get some beauty sleep, yeah? g’na get me in trouble if you keep acting out, princess.”

If Hades raised Nico and Bianca Part 26 (Babysitting)
Artemis, entering: Apollo, where is- Who is that?
Apollo, holding baby Nico: Hm? Him? Oh, this is Uncle Hades' son. His name is Nico. He's squishy
Artemis: Well, he is adorable *approaches*
Apollo: *turning away* Hey, back off. He's my squishy. Get your own.
Artemis:
Bianca: *tugs on Artemis' clothes*
Artemis: *looks down* Oh...well hello there. *picks her up* What's your name?
---
Bianca: Uncle, look! I found a seashell!
Poseidon: Oh, that's a pretty one, Bianca. It's shiny, too.
Bianca: Can I keep it?
Poseidon: Of course
Nico, pulling Poseidon's arm: Uncle Popo! Uncle Popo!
Poseidon: Woah. Slow down there, Nico. What's wrong?
Nico: Look! *shows baby turtles crawling to the sea*
Poseidon: Oh, look at that. They're going to the sea for the first time.
Nico: We have to help them! *tries to pick one up*
Poseidon: Uph! Not so fast, little one. We can't do that.
Nico: But-
Poseidon: They have to do it on their own. Or else they'll never learn how.
---
Bianca: AARRGH!
Ares: *sigh* C'mon. One more time
Bianca: I don't wanna anymore. This is stupid. >:(
Ares: Look, it's normal to fall on your first few times.
Bianca: But I've been practicing for months now.
Ares: Doesn't matter; you'll still fall. Doesn't matter how good you are. You'll still make mistakes. But if you want to be better than now, then you have to keep going. Understand?
Bianca: Yes, Mr. Ares.
Ares: Alright, c'mon. Stand up, dust yourself off, and let's perfect this dance.
---
Nico, playing with Hera's peacocks: Hehe, hehe. Pretty.
Hera: Who are you?
Nico: Hm?
Hera: How did you get in here?
Nico: I-I...
Hera: What are you doing in here?
Nico: ...the peacocks...
Hera: What?
Nico: The peacocks were hungry. So I gave them food. They took me in here.
Hera:
Nico: I'm sorry, Ms. Hera.
Hera: *sigh then picks him up* You shouldn't be here, little one. Olympus is not a playground for you to wander on.
Nico: I'm sorry.
Hera: And it's very rude to enter someone's chambers without their permission.
---
Aphrodite, waking up: *looks in the mirror to see her hair full of flowers* What the-
Aphrodite: *looks back in her bed*
Nico: *sleeping with a basket of flowers on the side of the bed*
...
Bianca: Ms. Aphrodite
Aphrodite, braiding Bianca's hair: Yes, Bianca?
Bianca: What if I don't want to fall in love? Will you get mad at me?
Aphrodite: Of course not. Love isn't for everyone. Some people prefer to focus on other things like their work or something else.
Bianca: But...I don't wanna be lonely
Aphrodite: You don't have to be. Just because you don't want to fall in love with others doesn't mean they don't love you. And it wont always be a romantic kind of love.
Bianca: What do you mean?
Aphrodite: Hmm, you know how you love your brother very much? Well, that's a different kind of love. Or when you love your friends, that's also a different kind of love.
Bianca: So...you'd be okay if I never get a husband?
Aphrodite: Of course I would. You'd only be hurting yourself if you're forcing yourself to love someone you don't really love. *finishes braiding her hair* And, done!
Bianca, looks in the mirror: ...wow
Aphrodite: Do you like it?
Bianca: I love it...I look like mama
---
Nico: O-once...up-upon...a time... *trying to read Puss in Boots*
Athena: You're doing well, Nico.
Bianca, pointing to a word in her book: Ms. Athena, what does this word mean? Exqui-Exquisite?
Athena: It's an adjective. When something is exquisite, it means it looks beautiful.
---
Nico: Choo choo! Uncle Hepha! Can I play with choo choo?
Hephaestus: Sure, why not? Just don't touch it, okay? You'll hurt yourself.
Bianca: Uncle Hephaestus, can you please fix this? *shows him a trinket*
Hephaestus: What is it? *takes it*
Bianca: It was our mama's music box. When you open it, it should make a pretty sound and the people in the middle should dance around. But they stopped dancing.
Hephaestus: Alright. I'll try and fix it. But I can't guarantee you that I can
---
Nico: HAHAHAHAHA! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN!
Hermes: Nico, we've run around 5 times already. You're gonna throw up at this point
Nico: No, I'm not.
Hermes: Yes, you are. That's enough running around.
Nico: Aww :(
Hermes: How about instead, we go and prank your Uncle Apollo? :D
Nico: YEA!
Hermes: What are we thinking? Cut the reigns on his chariot? Cover his chambers in tin foil? Shoot him in the butt?
---
Zeus: Ah! Hello, little ones. Why don't you come here and give your uncle Zeus a hug?
Bianca:
Nico:
Zeus: Come on
Nico: *throws the dummy sword Zagreus gave him*
Bianca: *throws the dummy sword Achilles gave her*
Zeus: Ow!
Hades: ...good work, children! :D

Blood of Zeus - Heron x Hera's!Daughter Reader
Warnings - 18+Only.
I've had this sitting in my drafts for ages and I want to get it out before I try any Season 2 stuff. Plus I just like the idea of these two, okay--
Kind of a Part 4 to Trouble.
Enjoy the Rambles!
-
Training was not going well.
You cringed as Heron flew across the arena, crashing into the sands with a pained groan. The automaton returned to its standing position dispassionately, and beside you Zeus sighed heavily.
It had been days since Mother had left Olympus, taking some of the other Gods of Olympus with her to the Underworld. Hades had apparently allowed them sanctuary, although he declared he would be taking no further involvement than that.
...your wrist ached as the memory of Mother’s hand grasping you, Hera and Zeus’s raised voices, Mother’s betrayed expression melting into a fury you had never had directed at you before flashed across your mind.
You had chosen to stay on Olympus, and Mother and Ares had left, others at their heels.
“Zeus.” Hephaestus spoke from behind you, his voice low and gruff. “This isn’t working.”
Zeus’s jaw clenched as Heron went hurtling across the arena once more, kicking up a dust cloud of sand as he crashed into the ground with a loud, painful sounding thump. “He needs to unlock his potential.” His large hands gripped the stonework of the balcony in front of him. “Soon.”
You were not much of a warrior, but you were fairly certain that if Hephaestus’s contraptions broke every bone in Heron’s body, that would be rather counterproductive to improving Heron’s combat efficiency.
As Zeus and Hephaestus continued to bicker in hushed voices, you felt a warm presence appear at your side. Apollo sighed as he leaned against the balcony, peering down into the training ground where Heron stumbled to his feet once more.
“He doesn’t give up, at least.”
“Is this really the best approach?” You nervously played with your hands as you watched Heron get up and be knocked down, over and over.
Apollo shrugged. “Athena is too busy preparing the defences, and Ares is with Hera. We don’t have a lot of options, training wise.”
You both continued to watch for a while, and you could feel your stomach sinking the longer it went on. Heron barely glanced your way.
You had not spoken since the night Mother had left, but the memory of Heron shocked expression as he looked at you – really looked at you – and the blind panic it had created in you made your stomach churn. You had fled to your room and would probably still be there if Hermes hadn’t forced you out.
“You should say hello.”
Your head snapped around to stare at Apollo, you was still looking out over the balcony. “I should what?”
“You should go over and talk to him.” Apollo replied casually, as though he were suggesting something completely normal. “The staring is getting a little old.”
“I am not—I am not staring.”
“Heron!” Apollo called out abruptly, loudly, and to your horror Heron actually looked up towards you. “Would you like some water? We have plenty over here—”
You turned to flee somewhere far, far away, only for Hermes – where in Tartarus did he come from – to appear, blocking your way with a small, but noticeable smile.
Traitor!
Zeus sounded displeased. “Interruptions are not—”
Apollo grabbed his father’s arm and began tugging him towards the stairs, so suddenly Zeus stumbled. “You are correct, Father, we should check the equipment on the other side of the arena—”
Zeus looked confused as Hermes joined Apollo in practically dragging the King down the stairs. Hephaestus rolled his eyes and stalked towards the automaton, muttering something about “those bloody sons of Zeus”. You were rooted to the stop as Heron slowly approached, his head low, as though he were struggling to meet your eye.
Your heart clenched as Heron busied himself gathering water, taking somewhat longer than was required for the task. The silence was so dense you felt it were almost choking you. You scrambled for something, anything, to say, but your mind was a void of disjointed words. I’m sorry. I wanted to tell you. I couldn’t tell you. Please don’t be angry. I’m sorry for Electra, I’m so—
“…you’re short.”
You were yanked from your frazzled thoughts when Heron finally said something. You looked at him in confusion, while Heron cringed, looking frustrated with himself. “I…pardon?”
“I just mean….” Heron rubbed the back of his neck, looking anywhere but directly at you. “You…the others are….you look different. Not bad, you’re beautiful, I just mean—”
“Oh. Oh! Right, yes, well, I wasn’t born like the rest of them. Mother—she made me out of clay.” Heron lifted his head to stare at you blankly. You felt your cheeks burn. “It is…unusual, I know.”
“…I’m sorry, was that rude—”
“No, no, not at all, you should hear how Apollo and Artemis were born—”
Silence fell over you again as you both fumbled over your words. You were torn between fleeing the arena altogether and staying exactly where you were because awkward or not you and Heron were talking. Over his shoulder you could see Zeus and Hephaestus by the automaton, and knew Heron would be pulled away soon. You inhaled deeply, steeling your nerves. I am the Queen of the Heavens daughter, by the Fates, act like it. “Heron….I am so sorry. About…about your mother.”
Heron looked pained, his fingers clenching around the waterskin in his hand. “…it was Hera, wasn’t it?”
It wasn’t a question, and you both knew it. You bowed your head, yours eyes beginning to sting. Do not cry. This isn’t about you.
“…yes.” You forced out, your throat feeling thick. “Heron…Heron, I know it’s not enough, but I’m sorry—”
“Why?” Heron cleared his throat, tossing the waterskin down. “It’s not your fault. You weren’t even there.”
“But….” You bit your lip. “Mother…I mean… Hera is—”
“Your mother, I know.” Heron wasn’t quite looking at you again, but he didn’t sound angry. Grief clung to his voice, and you fought the impulse to reach for his hand. “And Zeus is my…father. That alone made mother and I targets for Hera’s wrath. You had nothing to do with it.”
“Heron—”
Heron started to laugh.
You faltered, and watched as Heron hurriedly clamped a hand over his mouth, eyes wide as though startled by his own reaction. “I…I am sorry.” He choked out, eyes wide even as you caught glimpse of a mirthful smile behind his fingers. “Please…please continue…”
Your anxiety was briefly overpowered by confusion. “What…what is so amusing…?”
Heron’s shoulders began to shake. “I…I assumed your parents would disapprove of me.” He said, and the words seemed to break something in him. He doubled over, grasping his knees, eyes squeezing shut as he began to laugh even harder. “Now…now it turns out your mother is Hera. And…and I am the bastard son of her philandering husband….!”
You stared owlishly at him as his laugh grew louder – you could see Zeus and Hephaestus watching from the side-lines, their expressions suggesting concern that the automaton had hit Heron harder than they had feared.
“That’s…well yes, that is….Heron….Heron, it’s not funny!”
Heron tried to reply, but it came out as a wheeze. “I…gods…I had no idea…!”
You could feel a smile beginning to creep onto your face and tried to squash it, but Heron’s laughter was infectious, and was the most happy you’d seen him in…well, a while. “Well…no, I suppose…I suppose you are not what my mother would consider an ideal suitor…”
That brought on another wave of near hysterical laughter, and you found yourself giggling along with Heron, until you were both cackling like lunatics in the middle of the arena. You slumped against Heron’s shoulder, clamping a hand over your mouth as you saw Zeus heading towards you both.
“…if you are both finished?” He asked dryly, his eyebrows raised. Heron’s laughter stuttered to a stop, but he didn’t move away from you, the feeling of his body against yours leaving warmth against your skin.
You reluctantly straightened up, brushing away non-existent creases in your dress. “I suppose….” You gestured wordless at the arena. Zeus eyed you cautiously, before clearing his throat and turning back towards the automaton, as though he were examining it. Heron rolled his eyes slightly as you bit down a chuckle – you supposed he was trying to give you both a moment.
“Wish me luck.” Heron gripped his sword, his free hand rising to sheepishly rub his neck. “I think I’ll need a fair share of it…”
You laughed slightly, reaching out to gently pat his arm. He smiled in response, before sighing and trudging after Zeus.
“I think that went well.” Hermes said cheerfully from behind you. You nearly jumped out of your skin. “Don’t you think that went well, Apollo?”
“Indeed!” The Sun God chirped, appearing at your side. “See? All is well that ends well.”
“You two do remember…” Artemis sighed from somewhere behind you – when did she get here? – “…the approaching civil war, yes?”
“Small victories, dearest sister.”
You flushed and turned to stride back towards the stands, while Hermes and Apollo snickered to themselves. Artemis rolled her eyes as you sat beside her, although a small, teasing smile began to tug at her mouth. “Although….I did notice he didn’t deny it when you described him as a suitor.”
“Artemis!”
You blushed furiously as the Goddess of the Hunt laughed, and your stubbornly kept your gaze ahead, focusing on Heron on the sands below, feeling just a little bit lighter than before.

word count: 7.0k || inspo: The Dismemberment of Zagreus
warnings: nsfw, smut
summary: shade or not shade? minor goddess or goddess?
Tumblr media
Past the gates of Hades and the river Styx, Elysium sits. An endless paradise of homes and greenery in a seemingly desolate land. It was always Zagreus' third stop. He hadn't paid much attention there, Asphodel previously wearing him out. Zagreus wonders not much about the land itself. The prince needed to get past it, avoiding traps he's lived through too many times to count and fighting past foes. He stops occasionally at safe spaces of people he's talked to and always leaves nectar behind as he knows he's going to return. He never makes it that far into the temple. It takes trials through hell and back to escape. It takes time, he finds. So sometimes, he rests in the fields, in a place he knows is far away from whatever traps of death within the realm of Hades himself may await him. A place where no dirt can cut into his skin and damage it.
It was a strange place. The shades wound him, though they didn't pierce the skin of the shades. Skin? The body. The souls, perhaps. The realm of Elysium was never meant to reside in as a godling for long. Though, he had seen multiple souls retain their human form here. It was amusing to him. It had been the closest he had ever been to talking to living people. He wonders if there are any new ones. It was weary, meeting the same people over and over again in the realm. He seldom sees people end up here anymore.
A sigh slips past his lips as he lays down in the green.
He resides in a paradise built for only the best of the best; people whom the gods favored heavily. Since the first three times he had visited his mother, he hadn't stopped to breathe in order to get back up. He fought, raced, and hurled in order to get to where he needed to be. He had to see his mother once more. She hadn't returned with him, and he had unanswered questions he needed answers to. Yet, as he finished with Asphodel, he supposes a quick rest in the grass could not kill him. Well, he wasn't exactly alive either. And, if failed, he would simply return to where he started. It was a cycle he had grown used to, though he fought tooth and nail to make it upward each time.
Zagreus is not expecting to meet someone new on the fourth.
He spots you in the distance, white chiton draping over your shoulders, wrapping snugly around your figure.
A young maiden. You looked no older than him.
He wonders by whom you were favored, but he pauses at the sight of the familiar color. It seemed you had received a blessing in the form of your hair. The streaks of color remind him of his own mother, and he wonders just what you've done to please the Queen of the Underworld so much. You don't notice his stare, but you notice the sword stuck to the dirt, reaching to pull one out of the ground. He wonders if you'll get cut by one. His eyes trail over your hands, and he takes note of how rough your hands seemed to be. They resemble those of his mother's. Perhaps you had been a farmer who worshipped his mother especially much.
The blade doesn't cut you, but you fail to pull it out. He watches newfound determination paint over your features, and his lips part at the sight. You pull the weapon out in two tugs, falling onto the ground as you do. The red on the surface of the blade cracks into green as you pry the sword out with your bare hands. Zagreus can only observe in a mixture of fear and awe. You, a dainty maiden, had pried a weapon out of the sod as though it were a pomegranate. You sat there, staring at the craftsmanship, enthralled by its beauty as he were enthralled with yours. You hear him shuffle, and he leans back into the grass.
Zagreus doesn't understand why you don't approach him nor run away, but he takes it as a greeting. He might see you more often. Perhaps he'll see you on his next quest upward. When he hears you shuffle out of range, he stands up, the wounds on his body healed to some extent. His exhaustion is rested, and he sets off to meet his mother again. Perhaps he'd ask her about you. It was strange to see hair that reminded him so much of his own mother. He wondered if the color had the same texture as his mother's. Ah, but it wouldn't be so kind to compare you to his mother, now would it? Perhaps he missed his mother. That's why he had stayed a little longer to pay attention to you. It would leave him with his next death. There was no other reason.
When Zagreus reaches the surface, his mother shakes her head at his questions. She had no favored child. There must've been something wrong. Perhaps he had seen things while hurt from battle. As Zagreus falls back into the Styx, he wonders if you really had been a desperate hallucination. It had been years since his father had ruled anyone into Elysium. If not blessed, then what was it? Perhaps you had done something during the time that you were alive.
You were a mortal goddess. One of healing, he supposes. He closes his eyes and hears someone shuffle toward him, pressing cold hands onto his skin, and a cooling sensation flowing through his body. When he opens his eyes again, the figure is gone, the wounds on his body mended. There's no ache in his body, and he notices the ambrosia left next to him. It was strange. Had you really been a goddess, you wouldn't be able to die. Perhaps you had fallen out of worship and grown forgotten by the people who once served you.
Zagreus keeps the ambrosia in his pockets. Maybe he'll give you one once he returns.
The fifth time he lies in the field, he doesn't have as many wounds, but he closes his eyes anyways. Perhaps he could catch you. When he feels as though he's waiting an eternity, he hears the grass rustle. Once the footsteps stop next to him, he grabs the hand that's pressed to his back. "Got you," He smiles. You struggle in his grip, and he can feel you grow warmer. "I won't hurt you," He sits up, keeping your wrist in his hand, taking note of how dainty you were compared to him. Your wrist seems small in comparison to his hand.
You blink at him owlishly, fear visible in your eyes. "Prince. M-my apologies. I didn't want to wake you, though I was worried the wounds would cause problems if left alone. Please don't send me to Tartarus..."
Zagreus sputters. "I assure you, fair maiden, that is not the case. I simply wanted to meet my savior. Perhaps you are a godling as I?"
You shake your head. "I am not. The blessing of Apollo's healing was simply placed on me. I am but a minor deity compared to the Olympians."
"So you fell out of worship?" Zagreus loosens his grip on your wrist. You don't seem like you'll leave if he does.
"No," You shake your head. "My mortal body was destroyed in a fit of rage from my father... My prince, how is it that you're able to touch me? I thought shades could not be touched."
"Elysium is a little different from such rules," He mumbles. "Thank you, for the ambrosia, fair maiden."
"It was but something expected," You mumble, standing back up. "My apologies for holding you back, my prince. I heard you are on your way to Olympus."
"That's not entirely correct," He stands up with you, towering over you almost. "But thank you for your healing, fair goddess."
"The Olympians wouldn't be happy with that title you call me," You mumble shyly as he presses a kiss to your hand. "Go on, my prince. May you continue on your journey with the blessing of a minor deity such as I."
Zagreus smiles gently. "I thank you for the blessing, little goddess."
Zagreus climbs back to the overworld for the fifth time.
On the sixth, he has no injury. He's growing better at climbing, yet he still stops by the meadow where you reside. He wants to see you again. Of the few shades that could touch him, he seemed to like you the best. Your fingers were cool against his skin, and he liked the way you warmed when he complimented you. He likes the way you turn dark from his touch. You were tiny compared to him. He was already short compared to both his parents, but you were even smaller. It seemed you were an even lesser goddess compared to him. He liked the feeling of your hand in his. Ah. He'd have to ask mother what that feeling was. His chest was warmer than the gates of the underworld.
"Lovely maiden," Zagreus presses your hand to his cheek, relishing in the cold of your fingers. You feel divine on his skin. As though Nyx herself had blessed you, your skin was cold as his foster mother's. He liked the feeling of your skin on his.
"My prince," you mumble. "What time is this? I feel as though you've climbed for centuries by now."
"Maiden," He whispers. "That is simply because there is no morning here."
"Ah," you mumble. "The days feel long, even in a paradise such as Elysium."
"I can see that," Zagreus smiles. "Well, I shall be on my way now."
"Yes, my prince," You bow. "Please stay safe. May the blessings of a minor deity as I assist you along the way."
"Thank you, little goddess," He presses your fingers to his lips. "I shall see you in my next run."
Zagreus finds himself heavily wounded on his seventh run. His mother had told him to consider talking to his father properly, and he had fallen dead to the overworld again. Ah, he had forgotten to inquire about the warmth from you. He recalls the words of his mentor, though, wondering if that was how his father felt around his mother. Would he have to move you forcibly to his room? No. That would make him the same as his father. He wouldn't like it.
Neither of you speak while he's injured, and you press your palm to his skin. The cold that spreads through his abdomen stings, though it brings him comfort as well. He has grown used to the cold from your hands, and he wonders if you could press it to his hands to heal them as well. Calluses and rough patches of skin from handling weapons have long plagued his fingers and palms. It was a strange feeling, though it has grown to be welcomed. There is something about your touch specifically. His hand reaches for your face as you start pulling away.
"Goddess," He mumbles, pressing his fingers to your cheek.
"Tis your seventh run, yes?" You mumble, leaning into his touch.
"Yes," He breathes, his breath catching in his throat.
"How many more, my prince?"
"I don't know," he presses his thumb on your bottom lip, swiping across it. Your lip seems small compared to his thumb, he can only imagine how small you would be compared to his hands once he lifts you. Ah. No. He couldn't afford such thoughts. He had barely known you, yet he held such affection for you. Perhaps you had treated him just as you treated everyone else. He didn't know a dead heart could race so fast. "Until my mother returns." He purses his lips. "Though it will only be temporary rest. I don't feel as though I belong here, you see."
"Mm," you hum gently, lashes fluttering to get a better look at the prince. "I'm sure you'd have fun, my prince."
"I do," He smiles. "And I get to see you, my fair goddess, each time."
"How flirtatious of you, prince," You mumble, skin warm again.
"Only with you, my fair goddess," He smiles. "This is for you to take," He places a bottle of ambrosia in your hands. "Until I meet you next time, goddess."
Your skin warms from his ministrations. "May the blessings of a minor goddess as myself keep you safe on your journey."
"A kiss, perhaps?" He smiles, cocking his head to the side gently. "If you don't desire it, then it is fine."
"If the prince desires it," you mumble, using his shoulder as leverage to pull yourself to his cheek. You press your lips to his neck for a moment, and Zagreus finds his skin growing red. He turns to stare at you, the blush visible on his skin. You stare up at him, doe-eyed and smiling. "Then I shall fulfill it."
Zagreus wants to defile you.
The thought comes up suddenly as he stares down at you, and his heart shakes erratically in his chest. Maybe it wasn't a heart. Perhaps it was the blood rushing to his head. Yet, as he watches you fulfill whatever he desired, he couldn't help but wonder if you'd give yourself to him. His hand reaches for your lip again, brushing the bottom lip. You stare at him, staring quietly. Ah. He's been staring for too long. Hopefully, you don't mind it.
"My apologies, little goddess," Zagreus lets go of your face gently. "I shall be on my way."
"May the blessings of a minor goddess as I protect you along the way," You bow, and Zagreus heads out to his mother again.
Zagreus pauses while in the colosseum, a recurring thought plaguing his mind. It would be nice to find you after the fights, though he would have to return again. He wonders how far your healing properties can go. Perhaps he could find you once he climbs the next time. He still needed to convince his mother to return to the underworld with him. Once he does such, he'd be able to leave much easier. His father being distracted would also permit him to spend more time with you while he climbed to the surface. Perhaps he could somehow convince his mother to let you roam around the underworld with him while he traveled upward. A companion along his way would be nice. You could heal him when he needed it as well. He'll talk with mother on the matter.
While on the surface, his mother follows him with more questions. Zagreus wonders if it would be possible to remain on the surface for longer. Perhaps he'd build up an immunity to the sun, and he'd be able to stay out for longer. He should bring you up sometime. Though, it seems you didn't exactly die, so you'd undoubtedly be capable of escaping from the underworld. His father would be greatly angered at such a thought. Letting a goddess that fell out of worship escape the underworld? How foolish of a thought.
"My prince," You stare at him as he steps toward you.
"Goddess," He smiles. "I've come to seek advice, since you seem to have seen more than I."
"A lie," You hum. "But let us see if I shall be of assistance to you."
"My father's chambers," Zagreus swallows, and he pauses. Should he be telling you of such a vulnerable room? No. Even if he were to keep it a secret, he wouldn't know the answer until his mother responded to him. "Do you know of the former queen? My mother?"
"The goddess Persephone?" You tilt your head. "It had been a legend, as many of the people believed you were the son of Nyx, but I suppose you wouldn't be escaping to leave if your mother were here."
"So you do know," He mumbles. "My father has a portrait of my mother hung up in his room, still. After so many years."
You tilt your head to hear more.
"I do not understand why."
"It is love," You smile. "For one does not go so far or so to keep a fragment of someone unless they are in love."
"Is that so," Zagreus mumbles. "Would you like to meet mother?"
"My body is supposedly bound to Elysian," You smile. "Unless the prince was considering abducting me?"
"I do not see why not," He shrugs. "Tis tradition in this house." He smiles cheekily. "As my father had abducted my mother."
"But you do not love me," You watch him as he presses the back of your hand to your lips. "As your father loves your mother."
"I would move you to the office of Hades myself if I could," Zagreus nods, and you press two fingers to his head.
"May the blessings of a minor goddess as I keep you safe on your journey once more," You bow as he steps off.
"Ah," He turns around. "Before I forget." He steps over to you, handing you a bottle of ambrosia. "Would you be willing to move to my chambers if I could move you?"
"We shall talk about that once the chance of such an event occurs," You smile, and Zagreus watches the faux wind brush your hair.
"Of course. Thank you, little goddess," He returns to the arena once more.
In such a way, he supposes Asterius and Theseus have grown tired of his attempts at escaping, though they go no easier on him than they always have. The metal of his weapons clashes against theirs, and he does wonder if his proposal to you could ever go beyond a fleeting thought. Though, as he defeats the heroes once more, he stands and stares at the drops. Perhaps he could bring that up once his mother returns. His father's mood might soften if that were to occur. But alas, pointless thoughts are worth nothing until they follow through.
Zagreus talks to his mother, questioning as to why his father would even begin to keep a portrait of his mother with him. His mother's response is the same as yours, and he pauses at the realization. His mother seems to catch on, and he curses himself as he falls to the river Styx again. He's wasting his time thinking about you while on the surface. His mother is considering it, sure, but gods, he's about ready to steal you for himself. He's sure you'd look much prettier under the sun. He's nearly jealous of your worshippers. Though, he wonders how a foolish thought as such could even plague his mind.
"I have been told," You start, fiddling with your fingers. "That this is not your ninth run, but perhaps your hundredth, my prince."
"That is an overstatement," He hums. "I have lost count as death is not new to me."
"It would seem so," You mumble. "For death is foreign to me."
"You had not passed?"
"The sleep reincarnate had quite the time trying to find my name," You smile. "Hades himself had to welcome me into Elysium since he could not send me back to the overworld."
"Would you like to join me?" He traces circles on your hand. "Since you are not bound there."
"I will be of no help in the arena with Asterius and Theseus. I shall simply wait for your next climb." You shake your head.
"No warrior experience?" He finds it almost baffling. "None?"
"I have fought," You swallow. "But I do not enjoy it, my prince."
"I see," He mumbles, staring at your robes. "Then I shall come find you in my next run."
"I see," You smile. "Please convey my words to your mother. I feel as though the underworld misses their queen, my prince."
"I see," He nods.
"May the blessing of a minor goddess as I," You grab his hand, pressing your lips to his knuckles. "keep you safe on your journey once more, my prince."
Persephone entertains the idea of possibly returning to the underworld. The last words she leaves Zagreus with make his heart flutter at the possibility of his mother returning home with him. He's elated. Once he does, he's sure he'll be able to have her meet you and possibly move you around with him. The idea brings a smile to his face as he talks to Hypnos. The sleep incarnate grimaces and sends him on his way, napping once more as a result. Zagreus doesn't understand why his heart races as he opens his arms for you.
You crash into his chest gently, sighing gently at the feeling of his arms around you. Zagreus thinks you're a little cold, but it's a welcome contrast to his warm skin. His fingers press against your back, and you smile softly. It doesn't reach your eyes, but your body relaxes in his touch, and Zagreus can't help but wonder if something had occurred for you to touch him so willingly. He lets you rest on his chest, and he presses his fingers to the back of your neck. You squirm at the sensation, and he smiles. "Did you miss me, little goddess?"
"Yes," You mumble. "You took time this run, you see, my prince."
"My apologies," He presses a kiss to your hair, and you giggle.
"How was seeing your mother?" You peel yourself from him, lashes fluttering up at him.
"It was nice," He hums, letting go of you. "Are you still willing to reside with me in the main castle?"
"Perhaps once you accomplish your goal on the surface of the earth," You tap his chest mindlessly. "Will the queen return?"
"Perhaps," He closes his eyes, pulling your palm to his cheek. "Will you meet her with me this time?"
"Perhaps," You mumble. "Though, I can not return to the surface with you. It will be of no help."
"I do not mind bringing luggage with me," He lifts you from the ground, grinning as you yelp. You sit on his right shoulder as he rushes to the arena. "If you do not wish to fight, then there is no need for you to."
"I can fight," You swallow, the blade on your thigh.
"But you do not like it," He hums, pulling you to the side. "Just watch me and heal from the sidelines. Please, little goddess." He brushes your hair to the side, and your breath catches in your throat.
"If that is what you will, my prince." You mumble as he carries you off to the arena. A part of you were terrified of Hades's booming voice as the first time, yet Zagreus' arms keep you secure. He couldn't pass with you around. You hadn't passed away, and the healing you provided raised his defenses. You prayed that he would survive with you as luggage. The mere thought of having to battle on your own terrified you. The sight of blood was already a tightrope to walk on.
Your prince fights valiantly, the battle long engrained into his muscles, and he finishes his job with precision. The blood on his skin does not belong to him, but rather his opponents, and the good shade cheers. Your fingers drum against your skin nervously as the gate to the Temple of the Styx opens. The prince offers you his hand, and you follow him. You fear for your life. There were rumors that the gate to the surface was guarded by Lord Hades himself, and you did not wish to meet the god again.
Zagreus passes with you on his shoulder, and he finds that you are much lighter than he thinks. It was as though your bones could break at any moment. He didn't like it, though he was glad you hadn't complained about how quickly he was rushing through. He wanted to meet his mother. Perhaps he'd get his father's blessing along the way, though, he would most likely attempt to send you back to Elysium. He wouldn't let him. It wasn't any more of an act of defiance compared to escaping to meet his mother.
Zagreus reaches the gates to the surface with you still on his shoulder, and his father pauses at the sight. His son has a shade on his shoulder, and he contemplates letting his son out even at all. Though, he recognized the shade. It wasn't a shade, it had been a goddess who had just floated down the River Styx. He supposes letting him go would not hurt, though it would definitely cause a hit to the reputation of the underworld.
"Zagreus," Hades' voice bellows. "What is with the shade?"
"She is not a shade," Zagreus swallows, and he presses his hand to your trembling thigh. "She is a goddess."
"Goddess or not," The king of the underworld roars. "I can not let her escape."
"I am taking her to meet mother," Zagreus grumbles. "If you do not let me pass, we will fight as we always have."
You avert your eyes from the King, and Zagreus' grip on you assures you of your safety. You had not thought he would be so honest with his words. The heat creeps up your cheeks, and you attempt to tune out the King and Prince's conversation. You can feel the heat from frustration radiating off of his body, and you press your palm to the back of the prince's neck. You hope that'll calm him down to some extent. It works, and the prince starts negotiating. The heat at the gate lowers, and you whimper as Zagreus finally rushes out with you.
The overworld is much colder than the underworld. You had forgotten it was near winter, and you tap the prince for him to let you down.
"I promised father to bring you back," He mumbles, holding onto your hand instead. "So you must stay attached to me."
"Of course, my prince," You mumble, stepping onto the grass. "How long do you have?"
"Until I pass," He smiles. "You must return from the styx with me, though."
"I can return through the gates," You follow him as he rushes through the hill to his mother's abode. The snow crunches under your feet, and you glance at the burnt grass from Zagreus' feet. You hadn't paid much attention to the prince, yet it came as a surprise that his feet left ashes in the green. Perhaps his mother had cast a spell in her garden? You try not to think much as the prince leads you to his mother's home. You were undeniably a little worried for meeting the queen of the underworld.
"Mother," Zagreus lets go of your hand, and you stand there, glancing around the garden.
You space out for much of the conversation, rocking on your heels, staring around at the overworld. It has not changed much. You wonder how your people are doing, though they are far from the gates of the underworld. Your eyes linger at the edge of the cliff, and Zagreus' voice cuts you out of your trance. "Mother, this is a minor goddess that ended up in the river Styx," Zagreus pulls you to his mother, warm hands on your shoulder as you smile awkwardly.
"It's... a pleasure to meet you, goddess," You bow.
"Well, there are no need for formalities as such," The goddess smiles. "I remember you. I had visited your temple once."
"I am honored, your highness," You bow in embarrassment. "That you had received the help of a minor goddess as I."
"There is no minor nor major," The queen helps you up, and she smiles. "For we all take care of people."
You flush with embarrassment. "Thank you, my queen."
Your skin warms as the two of them help you onto Charon's boat, and you listen curiously to the sounds of Orpheus and Euridice. The boat rocks rhythmically as you stare at the passing scenery. The green of Elysium is familiar to you, though the lands of Asphodel and Tartarus are foreign to your eyes. You note the screams, and you stare almost longingly at the ever-fading sunlight. Zagreus takes note of it, though he wonders if there were ever a chance you could remain in the overworld. Both of you know that is just foolish wishing.
As the boat stops at the gates of Hell itself, you pause to stare at the gates. They're a terrifying height to you, and as the queen of the underworld herself bellows for the opening of the gates. Zagreus squeezes your shoulder assuringly as he presses his palm to your back. You trail through the gates, next to the prince, swallowing unconsciously as Hades greets his wife and son. You reach for Zagreus' hand instinctually, shaking slightly as his hand clasps you. He rubs gentle circles on the back of your hand as you space out, thinking about your home in Elysium. Though, it seems as though Zagreus does not wish for you to return. Even as you return to the main hall with him, Zagreus does not let go of your hand.
"Goddess," He mumbles. "We shall be throwing a banquet for the olympians. Would you like to join?"
"There is no need," You mumble. "When shall I be returning to Elysium?"
"Do you wish to return to early?" The prince whispers sadly, and you whimper.
"I am worried that Lord Hades will grow angry," You try and explain yourself.
"If he does not, will you stay with me?"
"If it is my prince's will," You avert your eyes, and the prince smiles.
"Then by royal order, you are to stay next to me at all times."
"Even while my prince escapes?" You fiddle with your fingers, letting go of his hand.
"Even while I escape," He presses his hand to your hair and runs it down your back. "You are to stay with me."
"Yes, my prince," You don't know how to feel about it. Though, it seems to be an issue that only you worry about. The preparations for the party are done by Lady Persephone and you, adjusting the tablecloth and food. You help pick the wines, the queen herself growing the grapes, and the underworld quickly hurries to vitalize. It feels very alive, a place that seemed to be no more than death itself. You had never seen Hades work so much on things other than dealing with shades. You're almost impressed.
Zagreus helps his mother adjust the tables in the dining room, and the amount of preparation that goes into the welcoming of the Olympians is baffling. You help around when you can, organizing plates and tasting the food. Zagreus stops you from having a sip of ambrosia while preparing. You bat your lashes at him, and he shakes his head. "There is alcohol mixed into it, fair goddess." You listen, setting it onto the table as he rushes off to help his mother. You smile at the two; after all, he was a mother's boy. You wonder if you had parents of your own, but you brush the thought off. It did not matter.
Once the party ends, you don't complain as you clean up with the other servants, and you don't complain as you wash dishes in River Styx. You find it amusing that you were washing dishes in the river of the dead. The boon of Lady Persephone herself keeps you from decaying, and Zagreus helps you out, drying tableware as you finish the last of the mess. The rest of the castle is restored, and you collapse onto Zagreus' recliner, exhaustion worming through your body. You curl in the cushions, the exhaustion knocking you out. You could worry about other things later once you wake up.
The prince of the underworld steps back into his room, frowning when he couldn't find you after you rushed off to the kitchen. He wonders if you had been sent back to Elysium or attempted to flee. After all, you had looked sad when you boarded the boat to return. He's glad that isn't the case when he finds you on his bed. Your chest rises and falls, the fabric of your chiton barely doing anything to cover your body. It slides down your shoulder, and Zagreus bites his tongue as he shifts it back up your shoulder, covering you. He lifts you from the recliner, placing you in bed gently, as if scared you would break from his touch. Your skin is cool against his as he wraps his arms around you hesitantly, and he closes his eyes. It had been a while since he had fallen asleep.
You wake to warmth pressed against your back and a sweaty body. You don't recall Zagreus' room being so hot. Was Tartarus burning all of a sudden? Perhaps Asphodel had overflowed once more. Yet, as your eyes open and you stretch your arms, you find that you're in the arms of the prince, his head pressed into your shoulder. You pause mid-stretch, and you lower your arms, shuffling to face him. The sheets rustle as you press your ear to his chest, eyes closing again at the sound of his heart. Huh. You didn't know dead people had heartbeats in the underworld.
Zagreus wakes again, sighing at the coolness of your skin. He glances at your new position, and he lies there, staring up at the ceiling. His mind wanders as you lie on him, and he brushes your hair to the side. You look pretty in his arms, and you were all his. You stir in your rest, and you blink drowsily at the male. "Zag?"
"Good morning, goddess," He smiles. "Did you rest well?"
"Very much so," You mumble, tapping his chest gently. His eyes meet yours, and his lips pull into a grin. You look dazzling. He moves his hand to your cheek, tracing the bags of your eyes. Your lips part, leaning into his touch. You contemplate your words for a moment, the prince hanging on the apprehension. Your next words cause his smile to broaden."May... I have a kiss?"
"Yes, goddess," He whispers, lowering himself to press one to your lips lovingly. You wrap your arms around his neck, whimpering at the heat from his hands. His eyes stay half-lidded, and his tongue swipes your bottom lip. You part your lips, letting him press his tongue to yours, sticking closer to him. Zagreus leans further into you, heart ringing in his ears. He whimpers as you move your hands to press to his chest, and he pulls away, the coolness of your skin burning his. He pants, staring at you through his lashes. "What's wrong?"
"I want more," You whimper, squirming as he presses his hands to your waist. Zagreus' face lights up. You seldom asked for more. You must be tired, his pretty goddess. He'll take care of you properly. Anything for you, after all. He pulls the blanket from your shoulders and lifts you into his lap.
"On top or on the bottom, darling," He mumbles, and you reach for his wrist.
"Bottom, please, Zag."
The prince spreads you on the bed, pulling your thighs apart as you ease into the pillows. You chew your bottom lip nervously as he presses his fingers into your legs. You grow embarrassed from his actions, skin flushing.
"Don't do that," You whisper.
"What's wrong?"
"It's embarrassing," You hide your face, and the prince smiles.
"There is no embarrassment," He pulls you to his face by the thigh, and he presses a kiss to the inside of your leg. "You are the lover of the prince of the underworld. There is no shame in a place as this." He lifts the cloth from your legs, scrunching it up. "I'll make sure that you are aware of this, goddess." His fingers trace the outer lip of your labia, thumb meeting your clit to get you wet. You grip the sheets, desperate to cum not squirm. Zagreus is making it increasingly hard for you, your breath quickening as he slides a finger into you. Your thighs squirm to close, and he uses his arms to keep you open. Your struggling falls on deaf ears. He stares in curiosity at the way you coat his fingers. "You're gorgeous, darling." He mumbles, kissing your clit gently. You flush with embarrassment.
"That's embarrassing," You whine again.
"I told you, darling," Zagreus presses his lips to your pussy, pulling his fingers out to keep your legs apart forcibly. "There is no embarrassment to being my lover." He can't see you, but he drinks in the sounds you make as he goes down on you. The room fills up with your gasps, and he moans lightly as your fingers thread through his hair. He presses his tongue flat again, and you whimper as he bites on your clit. You're not sure what happens next, but as the prince goes back down on you in a blur, your legs are tightening around his head, your orgasm crashing down on you. Your lips part, a silent sob slipping past your lips as Zagreus pulls from you. He swipes his fingers across his chin, collecting the slick from your cunt.
"Still embarrassed?," His face drops, and he leans into your face.
You whimper. "N-no."
"Do you want to go all the way?" He stares at the mess on the sheets, and you whimper.
"Yes," You whisper. "I... feel as though I've made you wait long enough."
"Do not think that you are required to satisfy me," He whispers, staring into your eyes. "Never. This is about your comfort."
"I am sure, my prince," You mumble, fingers pressing onto his chest again.
Zagreus pulls his robes to the side, and he gives you one last stare, only pulling you to him as you nod. You're nervous, understandably so, and the prince eases into you, lashes fluttering to stare at you while you stare at where he was sliding into you. He's glad you're wet enough, and he pauses once he's inside of you, rubbing comforting circles onto your waist as you reach for his hand. He entwines his fingers with yours, letting you play with his fingers as you adjust to his size.
You're full. You feel yourself filled to the brim, stretched beyond how you've ever felt with your fingers alone. You fiddle with the prince's hand, the heat from his body warming yours. You wrap your arms around his neck to feel closer to him, and he leans onto you, hands caging you to keep his body weight off of you. You take the moment to stare at his arms and pecs, biting your bottom lip as he shifts himself in you. You exhale, curling upward to his collar, biting quietly. The prince cocks his neck to the side to give you more access, and you bite down, the male moaning. You suck quietly. You wonder if you could ask him to play with his chest another day. He might think it's too much for the first time.
Your lips let go of his neck, and you lower yourself back onto the mattress. "You can move now, my prince."
Zagreus moves slowly, worried that he would break you if he were to move roughly. You can feel him with every drag, sweating. "You're, hah, so dazzling, goddess," The male moans, hissing at the feeling of your nails rake down his skin. You whimper as he drags himself inside of you again, and your eyes are glazed over with tears. Zagreus finds that you look divine like this. The mixture of sweat and spit on the two of you causes your skin to glisten, and his half-lidded eyes flick over your body. You look ethereal. Ah, not even the skies of the overworld could rival your beauty. He can't believe he gets to have you like this.
You gasp and writhe under him, broken sobs cracking out of your throat as he thrusts into your repeatedly. You feel his sweat build up under your nails, yet you don't mind. Every inch of your body is on fire, and you whimper at how full you feel. You feel every inch of him drag through you at each thrust, and your toes curl behind him. It's drunkening. Your body is a mess from him, the cum staining his sheets, yet Zagreus doesn't stop. Your arms fall above your head, Zagreus entwining his hand with one of yours. You feel embarrassed, trying to muffle your voice in his pillows. "Zag... Zag... Ah, Zahg" You gasp as he presses his chest to yours, forcing your eyes to meet his. "I'm going to... hah... cum... please..."
Zagreus presses a kiss to your collar, his thumb moving down to meet your clit. You were calling his name so sweetly, how could he not comply? Your back hits the bedding again, nails digging into his shoulders. You moan and babble incoherently as he speeds up, and you cry as your orgasm hits. It jolts down your spine, your pussy clenching on him, causing the prince to curse on your skin, fucking you through your orgasm. You cry from the overstimulation, and the prince strings apologies into your ears as he chases his own orgasm. "Zahg... nn," You cry. "It feels weird... a-ah," Zagreus presses his lips to yours, finally feeling himself cum as your nails dig back into his skin. He doesn't think much as he forces himself into you deeper so that his cum stays, and you finally relax onto the pillows, tear stains visible on your cheeks.
"Sorry, darling," He mumbles, pressing a kiss to your cheek, licking the salt curiously. "Are you alright?"
"Yes," You whimper as he pulls out. "I'm fine. Thank you, my prince."
"Rest again, my goddess." He mumbles, kissing your forehead. "I shall take care of you."
"I'm sorry," Your eyes shut. "My prince."
"There is nothing for you to apologize for," He pulls the covers over you once more, and you drift off.

Prologue: The Moirai
An Ichor Veil (of Flower Kings) masterlist
Tumblr media
Ghost/Soap/female reader 1.5k words - AO3 Warnings-tags: modern setting retelling of Hades and Persephone A strange dream, a strange visit.
For months, you’ve had the same dream.
You’re wandering a valley, your valley, a lush, green collection of rolling peaks, sweet grass and clover nearly velvet beneath your bare feet. The sun, high in the sky, does not moisten your brow, or cause you distress. You do not thirst. You do not tire.
You only meander, feeding the earth snippets of power, growing flowers and vines, a plethora of life, amusing yourself, as you do every night.
You roam this meadow, until your eyes open at dawn, bullfrogs and crickets and the raw chirp of birds tapping against the windowpane, brightening you to the morning better than any alarm clock ever could.
But tonight, the dream is different.
You’ve never seen so much Narcissus. It paints an idyllic picture, bright petals sparkling far and wide, blanketing the hills until they swoop low in the soft belly of the dream. They draw you in, pulling you down until you’re seated amongst a mass of blooms, Asphodelus scattered throughout, honeysuckle vine curling through the grasses, more fragrant than sea spray, filling the air with an intoxicating sweetness that you can taste, crystal like dew dripping with jasmine and vanilla.
It's beautiful.
A creek babbles nearby, crooning in its own language, rushing trickle drowning out your thoughts and feelings, twisting and tugging until it’s hard to remember you’re in a dream at all.
Is this not your meadow?
Is this not your own?
The Asphodelus shivers, rocking back and forth in a cool wind, the kind that chills your skin, whips around your shoulders and tousles the thin fabric of your shirt.
“Hello.” The greeting startles you, twists your torso in the waist deep flora. Rise. Instinct booms, like your mother’s chide ringing a shrill bell for you to obey.
A figure stands in the meadow behind you, tall beside the sun, rays of golden light casting long shadow across their features. You squint, but it’s of no use. You cannot make them out.
“Hello.” You mirror, palms forward, heels digging into the grass. There’s a sharp prick, a sting that bleeds, and you curse, lifting your hand for inspection. “Acantha.” You hiss at the goddess, as if she has anything to do with your dreams.
Gold runs from the wound like the creek, slicking your palm, coating your skin in ichor, your own lifeblood.
The lifeblood of the Golden ones.
Lest you forget.
The figure kneels in the grass before you, their head bowed, black gloved hands reaching, tugging your palm upwards, dragging a thumb through the mess of ethereal life.
“I’m fine, just a prick.” You assure in the silence. There is so much light, and yet none, nothing to illuminate the face or the features of whomever it is that occupies your dream.
A fragment of your mind, perhaps. A trick of your mother’s.
Or an interloper.
“You’re hurt.” The dark pitch of the figure’s voice is startling. It’s fathomless, beautiful like the coast of the Aegean, guttural like the shout of death. Raw ruby, not quite plucked from its sanctuary, not quite finished or ready to be seen, a secret gem, only for you. The meadow rustles, thousands of faces in the little flowers leering, scowling, blue sky dimming into grey. Thunder shatters the tranquility, clapping in the distance, a garish boom sending electric shocks through the clouds, all manner of rumbles rolling over the hill.
Rot. It fills your soul in a flood, current wrapping around your ankles and tugging, like a thousand Oceanids lay at your feet, crying. Screaming.
But your hand is warm. Your hand is warm and it is held, for a moment, a moment in which you feel dramatically unlike yourself, unlike the fledging goddess you claim to be, unlike the unloved one you’re known as, and then-
it is cold. Your hand. Your heart. You. The being, the figure, is gone.
And you are alone.
The Greenhouse is quiet. An easy peace, so easily disturbed by comings and goings, friends and patrons, all manner of beings and others, stopping in and out.
They say hello. They ask for help, advice, favor. Some things you cannot give, even to some visitors who you hold close. Dearly.
These moments alone, moments of solitude in the Greenhouse, and some that you love the most. Moments when you're alone with yourself, your power, your connection to the earth. When you can feel it the most, the worms in the dirt, the roots desperate for water, the blooms aching to flourish. You are all these things, when you're alone. A power unto yourself. A goddess of life, of fertility, of Spring. The essential reawakening. The circle of seasons.
The secret weighs heavily.
But a goddess of Spring, is no mere goddess of Spring, your mother's voice echoes. A goddess of life, may as well wear a target on her back.
This morning, when the dew still refracts the light of the sun and birds are singing, no one comes. You sit alone, pruning, detangling, taming a pothos, encouraging its lovely green vine to live on its own. It protests, and you huff at it, conjuring slivers of magic, feeding it kernels as if you care for a child, trying to encourage it to eat.
“You must try, you know.” It curls around the back of your hand, lovely silver-white speckled leaves shimmering in the morning’s light. “You’re not staying here. The Greenhouse is full. I don’t have any more room.” The overcrowded shelves and carts agree, saplings and ivy and atropa belladonna all singing in unison, quivering voices rising in protest of the pothos’ weak effort. “See? You’ll make everyone unhappy.”
“You have a habit of talking to all your plants?” A musical voice chimes from the front door, and you jump from the stool, a book on your right clattering to the concrete.
“No, I…” Your voice fails, the woman in the doorway steps closer, allowing her mortal appearance to fall away, removing her Cloak and revealing her true identity.
The Moirai.
The Three who are One.
She turns her head to the east, a flash of the Maiden surveying your workbench, and then the Crone shines through, all faces eventually melding into one.
The Mother.
“Daughter of Demeter.” She inclines her head in greeting, and you blink rapidly.
“You...” What are they… is she, doing here? “You shouldn’t be here.” You swallow the fear that races in a cold rush under your skin. A frozen river runs in your bones, frigid rapids roaring, trapped beneath a thin sheet of ice, churning your power into a weapon of terror, an uncontrollable force that tries to build beneath the swell.
“Your mother is preoccupied.” She waves her hand; unease props the hair up on the back of your neck.
“What do you want?”
“To see you.” She strolls, careful, casual steps echoing off glass. “Finally, in the flesh.” The sh sound hisses, and your power pulses, pushing forward in preparation. “You are truly as lovely as they say, little Spring Goddess.”
“I’m not the Goddess of Spring.” You rebuke, and the resounding chuckle is dry wine, a tatter of bubbles that on her tongue that sours your stomach.
“You are not.” She nods. “No. You’re so much more now. You will be.” She steps closer, red lips perfectly lined and plump, pursed as she stares you down. “I’m satisfied.” She murmurs, and even though she looks right at you, it’s as if you’re not in the room.
Rain drops patter on glass panels.
“Pity.” She frowns, and then winks as a young woman, as an old one too, vanishing from sight with each step she takes to the door.
The clock ticks too loudly, and it feels like doom. Like a shattered mirror, shattered reflection, shattered life.
The Moirai have never visited you.
Why now?
Outside, a screech owl hoots, startling you backwards, a hand rocking down to the work bench in an effort to steady your trembling legs.
“Ouch!” you shriek, flipping your palm over, a pair of pruning shears dug into your skin, golden blood leaking out around their cool metallic points. “Fuck.” Your lips cover the puncture, tongue flicking against the rivulet of ichor.
The screech owl screams.
The throne room is silent. Darkness ebbs, inky webs slithering across the floor, shadowing the blood red stone that spills from the mouth of the dais, two identical, straight back chairs sitting proudly in the middle of the hall, dwarfed by columns stretching so tall Johnny swears they surpass the boundary of this realm. Their onyx marble shrouds Simon, who stands maskless, his hands clasped behind his back, peering into the pitch-black pool of liquid vibrating inside a silver bowl.
“Who is she?” There is a woman in the seeing glass. Beautiful, bright, an overflowing bouquet of narcissus, an endless melody of spring, the promise of early death. The greenhouse breathes in her presence, all nature of blooms and blossoms straining closer, desperate to be within fingertips reach. “A goddess?” He looks closer, and Simon’s amber laden eyes affix his, broad palm tenderly cupping Johnny’s cheek. His answer is a whisper, something unearthly and severe as they are: two Kings of the Underworld, two souls twisted together, two macabre fates made one. His words are a looming promise, a vow so ruinous Johnny knows the Moirai howl and the Lethe trembles.
“Our wife.”

sweet tooth!
percy jackson x daughter of hades reader
Tumblr media
yes, you might have been the daughter of the god of death and the underworld, you might have been the spawn of satan (literally). yet you were sickeningly sweet! your taste in food, your voice, your entire being was like a box of chocolates.
so as you usually were, sat in percy's cabin with an entire pack of sour strawberry laces and in his arms, he just had to take a couple strings.
"do you mind?" you glared, knowing you didnt mean it. you were just super hungry as usual.
"sorry sugar, you can't just eat all of them though while your around me." he grinned playfully, planting a kind kiss to your temple.
"but these are my favourites, you should know this!" you whined, clutching onto the packet as it spilt the remaining grains of sugar onto his bed.
"you have like.. i don't know? four? five packs a day?" he chuckled, turning you over to face him. your face had a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
"yeah but.. thats not enough for my system." you sighed as you put your lips into a thin white line, looking up at him with your almost entrancing eyes.
"well i don't need sugar do i?" he tilted his head, tucking your hair behind your ear. "i've always got you." he stated, giving your lips a peck.
"you are so corny." you rolled your eyes jokingly again, gifting him a kiss yourself as your right hand moved to his cheek, the sweet tone in your voice highly evident.
"oh come on, you love it!" he exclaimed after he pulled away, his hands resting softly on your waist whilst you fiddled with his hair.
"i guess i do." you sighed as your lip twitched slightly, gifting him yet another kiss to his forehead. "can you grab me that chocolate bar i left on the railing please?" you cracked a grin, making you look down as your cheeks burnt a warm pink.
"of course sugar." he simpered, sitting up from his bed to follow your very request.
until he returned, half of the chocolate bar missing from its wrapper underneath his terrible attempt of making the wrapper look like it hadn't been opened.
"percy jackson!" you exclaimed in annoyance.
"sorry!"

The Divine Feminine: Welcome to Hell

Y/N and Hades (Harry, to her) had been living in a love bubble all through the spring and summer seasons. Persephone was gracing the world with her gifts of plenty and beauty, all the while her husband did ungodly things to Y/N and her fragile, yet completely perfect human form. But as the autumn neared, Y/N knew that her time with him would soon come to an end as he had mentioned to her previously.
“I’m not going to abandon you.” Harry murmured against the skin of her stomach. His lips tickling her with the words he formed, causing goosebumps to break out onto her skin.
“Hey, no mind reading.” She reminded, tugging at his luscious curls with a bit of force and he chuckled.
“I can’t help it. Sometimes you just think really loudly.” He said and she smiled. She sometimes wondered if she was completely delusional and in the midst of a psychotic break and none of this was real…but the marks he’d leave on her body, his scent lingering on her bedding, and the romantic gestures he’d lavish her with, proved otherwise.
“I guess I just don’t know how this will work… I mean, you love Persephone.”
“I do. But I love you most.” He said before kissing right above her belly button.
“Liar.” She whispered and he glanced up to her.
“Do not accuse me of lying. I could turn you into a…bug!” He threatened playfully and she cackled, which caused him to laugh along with her.
And when their fit did down she hummed as she patted his head a few times,“Go right ahead. Make me a little lady bug if possible and I can live on your shoulder. Go everywhere with you.” She said and he smiled and shook his head before continuing to kiss down her body to get to one of his favorite places on her body. Her eyes being his most favorite body part of hers, he would be lost in them if she’d let him. He moaned hungrily as he took in her scent and then latched his mouth to her sopping pussy.
He lived for the way her fingers scratched at his scalp and pulled his curls hard as he honed in on her sensitive, little button until he had her withering on his tongue. She was absolutely delightful on his tongue and he couldn’t stop when he got started. Soon enough, his fingers were joining in the mix and she was soon coming several more times from his thick digits massaging the sensitive spots of her hot, tight inner walls.
He’d found this spot inside of her that no matter how many times he’d go over it, it’d make her come undone for him until she was an unbelievably sticky and sloppy mess between her legs. So fucking wet that when he’d finally get his big cock in her it’d continuously slip out, making him groan in desperation as it interrupted his pleasure just when he was getting close. It was torturous and he absolutely loved it. Loved filling her with load after load of his come until each thrust had his seed squelching out of her tight little hole. He’d taught her endurance in their months together, but he would still wear her out. He just couldn’t stop burying himself in her or devouring her, connecting with her.
“Fuck baby, you just feel so fucking good… you’re so fucking good.” He moaned his praises as he got ready to come, “One more for me, I know you’ve got one more in you.” He muttered as she groaned into the mattress, her legs were trembling as she clutched the sheets beneath her as he drilled into her from behind. Her eyes were rolling back as she whimpered and keened such beautiful sounds of ecstasy. His finger at her clit was incessant and before she could even beg him to give her break her walls were clamping down around his cock.
“Oh my god…” she gasped as he ground his cock into her to help carry her through her orgasm. She felt like she was floating, it had all been so much, she was sweating and panting as he fucked her clean through it. Her body shivered with overstimulation as he started to thrust harder and faster, getting himself off now for the last time. She was like putty in his hands, he could use her however he pleased, she trusted him that much.
“Fuck, I’m gonna come.” He grunted as he delivered a few more sharp thrusts before stilling deep inside of her. His hands were around her hips, holding her flush against his body as he spilled his hot load of come into her. And he was panting as he came down, but refused to withdraw from the warmth of her body. He started lowering his weight over her, crushing her beneath him and she hummed happily as he finally settled over her. After a few moments he started to shift them onto their sides. Her back was flush to his front. His cock, still hard, was sheathed inside of her, twitching occasionally when her muscles would spasm around his length. “You’re everything.” He mumbled against her ear and she tangled their fingers together, “Wish you could be with me forever.” He said quietly.
This made her smile. Y/N had never really felt like she had a place in the world. She had always struggled to fit in, to find a place in it where she felt like she belonged completely. She’d wondered before if maybe she wasn’t meant for this earth? But she had no idea what Harry’s world was like. She was curious, but she also realized that in order to be there she’d have to die and she didn’t want to die. Not yet at least. There were so many things that she still wanted to do and experience…like tornado chase, travel to Europe, or see her favorite band live at least once. As much as she had grown to love him, he was Hades. He transcended time, he was the god of the underworld. He was the ruler of the afterlife, the highest judge in the universe! At the end of their life every single being answered to him for the way they’d spent their time. He was justice. He was vengeance. He was a God. It baffled her that a being as simple and fragile as her could even catch his eye.
“You shouldn’t think so highly of me, love.” He spoke quietly, like a whisper but in her head and she smiled.
“And why not?” She though inquisitively.
“You’ll make me too arrogant.” Was his response. She loved that she could hear his voice without it needing to be audible.
“As if you needed any help with that.” She quipped in her mind as she grinned and he swatted the side of her thigh quickly and a giggled bubbled from her mouth melodiously.. “You should stop hearing my thoughts.” She reminded him, speaking aloud this time.
“I want to show you my world. Everything that I can offer you whenever you’re ready to join me.” He said and she sighed.
“What if I’m old and gray by then?” She questioned and he squeezed her tighter.
“I can become old and gray too or restore you to whatever age you desire to be.” He said and she hummed.
“That’s fascinating.”
“It is.” He agreed, “You know, there’s…a spell that can grant you temporary immortality. I could learn more about it and perform it on you, that way you can see everything there is to see without having to die.”
“Hmmm… a little weekend getaway to hell? Sounds nice.” She said teasingly and he chuckled and kissed her bare shoulder.
“S’paradise too, you know?” He said.
“I thought that was Olympus.”
“No, that’s where most of the other deities live. People don’t go there.” He explained and she hummed in understanding.
“Is it dangerous? The spell?” She asked.
“I don’t know, I’ll have to consult Hecate, she’s one of the goddess that also dwells in the underworld. That’s her area. We can weigh out the pros and cons together.”
“Alright, it’s worth looking into I think.” She decided, “And what about your wife? The first day of Autumn is just two days away.” She pointed out and he hummed.
“I’ll talk to her. Tell her about you. I think she’ll be glad that I’ve found someone other than her to keep me happy.”
***********
Every time Persephone made her descent back to the realm of the Underworld Hades would throw a bash for her. It was an absolute lavish feast and everyone was a huge part of it, Admittedly, Hades had been very distracted with his favorite, little human so he only had those 3 days to plan this feast whereas before he encountered Y/N, he’d begin planning at least a month in advance. As soon as Hades arrived back in his realm several of his fellow deities conjured themselves.
“Are we having the feast or not?” Thanatos asked.
“Yes. I know I’ve been gone a lot-”
“Don’t worry, we’ve got it. The dead remain dead, all is in order.” He assured his friend and Hades smiled.
“Thank you.”
“You deserve this. You never have your fun.” He said and Hades chuckled.
“Let’s ummm, make this feast more intimate, yeah?”
“Alright. And ummm, let’s search through Elysium and the Meadows for some musicians. Just the better ones.” Harry said and Thanatos nodded.
“Nyx and Erebos did start setting up the great hall in their home a few days ago.”
“And your brother?”
“Wandering about the world. After you were gone more than a week he also took a leave. We shouldn’t count on him for any of this.” Thanatos said of Hypnos.
“Alright, fair enough.” Hades chuckled.
“I must tell you, Persephone is a bit…unsettled.” Thanatos warned.
“Why?”
“Hecate overheard Eros bragging about “striking the ruler of the underworld with his arrow to fall in love with a human”. Boastful little prick…” he huffed and Hades sighed, “Ever eager to gossip, Hecate mentioned this to Persephone, or so I’ve been told by Hermes.” Thanatos explained.
“Unbelievable.”
“I told them it was just Eros being a prick. We all know how bitter he still is over Persephone’s rejection all those millennia ago…”
“Can I be honest?” Hades said and Thanatos nodded.
“Of course.”
“He’s not just being a boastful prick…I think he succeeded.” Hades admitted. Thanatos was shocked to hear this.
Anyone who knew the pair knew that the one with an unwavering and undying devotion in this marriage was Hades. He never even thought to gaze upon another being. And anyone who knew Persephone knew that despite her mostly pleasant and benevolent manner, she had inherited the jealously and wrath of her father, Zeus. She could be cold and senseless in her wrath. Hades knew this and it worried him for Y/N.
“If what you say is true then your human is in danger.” Thanatos said solemnly.
**********
Hades had been unsettled after his conversation with Thanatos. He had mentioned to Y/N that he would be rather busy until Persephone’s return and she fully understood this, but he needed someone to protect her from any possible attacks that his wife might hurl at the unsuspecting and fragile human who had his heart.
Typically he would call on his own wife or Hecate when someone or something required the utmost protection, but these two were the ones who’d been consorting all summer long and likely had turned against him to some extent. Persephone was reasonable, maybe he could convince her to not harm Y/N. But what worried him was that she was all alone on earth without anyone there to guard her. Hades wasn’t all that excellent in his practice of spells, but he did find himself at his altar, performing a spell for Soteria - the spirit of deliverance and protection - for Y/N. Being Hades, the spirit realm was always more susceptible to his wishes. And it gave him peace to know that his offering was accepted.
The next couple of days passed by quickly and soon they were congregated in the great hall of Nyx’s home as a grand and gorgeous theme played as Hecate and Hermes escorted Persephone inside. Of course, Hades was pleased to see her, he did love her, but it was different now. Still, he was fast to meet her and take her back into his arms as he kissed her lips with adoration. She didn’t have to know that he longed for another’s taste.
“Welcome home, darling.” He said and she smiled.
“Thank you.” She responded softly.
Persephone expected far more fanfare than this small feast that was laid out before her. Typically the underworld was alight upon her return. She had mostly dismissed Eros’ whisperings about him supposedly claiming a victim in her husband, the all powerful Hades. But the thought reentered her mind when she saw the reception he’d given her this time.
It was still lovely, but this was not at all what she was accustomed to. She was his queen. The second most sovereign being in his realm…did she not deserve more than this? It baffled her, it truly did. So when they finally returned to their home and he did not immediately jump at the opportunity to worship her body, she had to confront him.
“Are you not happy to have me back home?” Persephone’s question didn’t catch him off guard. He expected it, he had just been trying to figure out a way to tell her.
“Of course I am.”
“Then what’s the matter?” She questioned him sternly. He was trying to find the words, “Does it have to do with that human you took as a lover?” She asked, “The one that Eros is bragging to all of Olympus about making you fall in love with?” She added and Hades sat at the edge of the bed and sighed.
“Yes.” He said simply and he could just sense her rage boil up in her blood. He could practically hear her thoughts of revenge and the level of cruelty she was imagining made him grateful for having cast those protective spells over his love. “You can’t hurt her.”
“Hecate has more power than those spirits you pray to.” She said and Hades turned to her.
“Please don’t do anything to her.” He said and she was just so stern.
“You were only devoted to me, Hades. And then some pathetic, mortal little thing appears and you’re done for?”
“I didn’t know this would happen! You told me it was alright. To just do as I pleased and I did! You take lovers all the time! For ages sometimes and I’ve never felt threatened by any of them!”
“Yeah, because you’re fucking Hades! And I’ve never fallen in love with any of my lovers. At least not in the way that you’re in love with this human.” She argued.
“It’s not like I planned for this to happen! It just did…” he explained, “I’ve even…considered asking the fates what I should do because I don’t know what to do.” He said honestly and she shook her head.
“I don’t even want to know what they’d ask you for in exchange for revealing something unknown to you.” She said.
“I know… it would be absolutely insane, but I don’t want to hurt you or Y/N. That’s her name.” He said.
“Don’t tell me her name.” She mumbled, “So what…you make her immortal and make her queen of the Underworld? Then what happens to me?” She asked. “You fought tooth and nail to save me from being hurt, you treated me until I learned to love you and-”
“You’ve never been in love with me, Persephone. I know you’ve tried, but it’s never been like what I felt for you. Like what I’m feeling now for her.” Hades explained. And well, she couldn’t’ argue with that. Did she love him, of course, he risked his existence to save her from the cruelty of the Olympians, but she was never as devoted to him as he was to her. He worshipped the ground she walked on…and not having that felt…empty. “And no, I wouldn’t make her queen, you’re great at it. You’re balanced and smart and I trust you to always do the best thing. She’d just…be here with me when her time on earth comes to an end.”
“What if she lives to be 90? And she’s all…frail and ugly?” Persephone asked.
“Hebe owes me one.” He said and she sighed.
“This is…madness. Even if you’re the ruler of the underworld, she still needs to be judged and she’ll be confined to whatever region of this place that she deserves to be in.”
“She’s good. All good.” He said and she scoffed.
“There’s no such thing.” Persephone said incredulously.
“Look, just watch her for a few days. Just look at how she lives, the way she is, the things she does…” Hades appealed and Persephone shook her head, “Please. I want to bring her here,  show her what it’s like. With Hecate’s help-”
“She won’t help you without my blessing.” Persephone cut him off.
“I know that. That’s why I want you to just observe her. I assure you, she’s no threat to you. She never will be. She’s not like us…she has no lust for power or position, she just…wants to be happy.”
“Oh great, just what we need, another Hedonist like Hypnos and Dionysus…” she quipped.
“If she doesn’t have power over anything what would it matter?” He asked and she sighed. “Please, Persephone. I have given so much for you. For your happiness. Would you not do this one thing for me? For my chance to have the happiness the rest of you have had for millennia?” He appealed and she just had to tear her eyes away from his as she felt her heart softening a bit, her obstinance slowly melting away.
“Fine.” She said and Hades smiled happily.
***********
After a week of settling back into her routine in the underworld, Persephone traveled to the earthly realm to observe Y/N. It irritated her how painstakingly kind she was. Hades was right, she was far too good for this earth. She was a school teacher for children and she was excellent at it. She was charitable, nonjudgmental, and admittedly she was ethereal in beauty. She’d fit right in with the other deities. After observing her that first week, Persephone asked Hecate to join her in her observations. They watched her closely, scrutinizing every single thing she did. Hades had mentioned to her that he was supposed to be visiting her the week after she had done her observing, but when she called Hecate to join her he couldn’t leave. They were the main three rulers of the underworld. So he couldn’t go and each night, she’d have to put up with endless questions from him about what Y/N had been doing? Did she seem disappointed? Was she angry at him? And she starved him of any answers. Hecate even cast a spell over her so that he couldn’t see or hear her thoughts. It was cruel, but the more she observed this human, the more she understood why Hades had fallen for her nurturing and pure spirit.
Of course she was disappointed that he hadn’t come. She called him “Harry”, which she felt was rather insulting, to bestow a god of his caliber with an earthly name, but that’s who he was to her. He was right, there was no longing for power or strength or wealth - she just wanted love and acceptance - the kind of love that he had given to Persephone for millennia and that she had never really understood or appreciated. She and Hecate heard Y/N’s thoughts on the situation, her understanding that even if he could take lovers, that his wife was his reason for living. That he adored her. He had apparently shared with her their true story and it made her sad for Y/N. To see her so powerless in this situation, to see her just accept the fact that she’d never get “Harry” back.
“I can’t stand to see her that miserable any more. I’m going back.” Hecate said after their 3rd week of observing her. But the second Hecate made it back to the underworld, Hades was traveling to earth. It was just moments later that he met eyes with Persephone before he conjured his physical form in her apartment.
“Harry!” She gasped when he suddenly appeared, startling her. “God, you scared me so bad!” She groaned and threw the strawberry she was about to eat at him. He just glanced down at the spot on his chest that had just been hit by the fruit, but she was soon stepping up to him and hugging him tight. “It’s good to see you.” She smiled as she pulled back from their hug.
“You too. I’m sorry, I’ve been really busy.” He explained and she nodded.
“I understand, but ummm…I needed to talk to you about something.” She said and he immediately frowned. Persephone tuned into her thoughts and soon understood that she was going to ask him to end things.
“I already know what you’re going to say. No. I’m not ending this.” He said and she groaned.
“No mind reading!” She scolded and he sighed.
“I already told you, love. I can’t help it sometimes!” He defended himself and she sighed.
“Look, it’s for the best.” She said and he pouted, “I know that you can take lovers but…this is not that.” She said to him, “You have a wife. A wife who you said yourself, is basically your other half!” She explained, “You should go be with her. I mean…what’ve I got left here, another 40-50 years on this earth? I’m just going to get slower, older, weaker, more fragile…I love you, I love you with my whole heart but I can’t spend my life waiting for you to come back when you have a chance. You keep the balance, your role in this universe matters far more than my own, Harry. Your time is better spent in the Underworld than just…wasting time with me.” She explained and he smiled at her.
“It’s never a waste time when I’m with you.” He said and Persephone nearly gagged at the way they were looking at each other with so much adoration. Sure, she loved him, but not nearly as much as this little human loved him. Loved him so much that she was willing to sacrifice her own happiness for his?
“You know what I mean.” She huffed.
“I talked to my wife about you.” He said and she frowned, “I want you.” He said and her gaze softened but she shook her head.
“No, Harry. You can’t do that to her.” Y/N said.
“I appreciate what you’re trying to do here but the trouble with that is that I…am in love with you now.” He explained and she looked so conflicted.
“I love you too-”
“I know.” He smiled.
“The blasted mind reading!” She groaned in irritation and he chuckled and grabbed her hands.
“Sorry.” He laughed breathily, “It’s the truth though. It’s different with you. Everything is just different and I want you t-to be with me. Forever.” He said and she chuckled nervously.
“Oh my god…”
“I know.”
“But how?”
“We’ll find a way. And it doesn’t have to happen any time soon. You should enjoy your life for however long you need, but just know that you’re the one I want by my side age after age, until the world passes away. We’ll just be together, loving each other, exploring everything the universe has to offer because I’m a fucking god and we can do that.” He said and she was smiling as tears trickled down her face.
“That sounds phenomenal but is she OK with that?” She asked and well he stayed quiet. He knew she was there, watching, listening to his profession of love.
“Yes.” Persephone caved. Her response so soft that only his hearing could detect it.
“Yes. She’s ok with it.” He said and she sighed in relief.
“I don’t have to like…be the queen of the underworld right? Like I can just…hang out?” She asked nervously and he just hugged her into his chest as he laughed. He could also hear Persephone laughing a bit at her question.
“Yeah, baby. You can just hang out.” He said softly before kissing her head and with that settled Persephone disappeared back to the Underworld.
**********
It was a few days later when Hecate had been able to really perfect the spell to grant Y/N a temporary immortality for her visit to the underworld. She was going for the weekend so she could see what everything was like. Obviously, it was nothing like you’d imagine, but they had inspired storytellers in the ancient times with terrifying images and ideas to scare people into behaving just a little bit better. Which, Harry had assured her of as the day of her visit grew closer.
Finally, the day came and Harry had appeared in her home with an ethereal, feminine being at his side. She was as tall as him, with a slender build. Her skin was pale and she had long, black hair creating a very stark contrast. Her eyes were a cold gray color that seemed to look straight through her soul but Y/N could not look away.
“This is Hecate. One of the main rulers of the underworld. She will cast the spell on you to grant you immortality for your visit.” He explained.
“I must warn you that you will fall terribly ill when you return from your visit. The travel between realms will catch up to you when you’re back in your human form. It’s relatively normal.” She admonished.
“I understand.” Y/N said and with that confirmation she started speaking in what Y/N could only assume was some celestial or greek language. Little sparks started to appear around her and then they started drawing closer to her. She winced when they started to stick to her skin. The little flecks of light felt hot against her, but she held perfectly still, and she gasped when they started to be absorbed into her skin. She could see her hands and arms radiating more and more and more until suddenly everything stopped. Her head felt fuzzy for a few seconds before Hecate grabbed her hand and out of nowhere slit the palm of her hand with a blade. Y/N winced and pulled her hand away quickly.
“Was that necessary?” Harry reprimanded Hecate as he hurried over to Y/N, “Are you alright?” He asked as he grabbed her trembling hand but when the two glanced down to inspect her wound they saw as it started to fade until it was gone, leaving no trace of the injury.
“I had to make sure it worked.” She smiled to Hades.
“Ready to go?” He asked and Y/N bit her lip and nodded.
They opened up a portal, so she could know exactly where to go and Hecate walked through first and disappeared. Then he grabbed her hand and gave Y/N a reassuring smile before he started leading her through it. It felt tingly as she made it past the portal into some in-between dimension. It was overwhelming. She could suddenly hear everything. Nature, people talking in many languages, cars, ambulances, animals…it was just so busy. And as they continued stepping through that in-between dimension it started going dark. “I’ve got you.” Harry assured her as they were surrounded by pitch black before they were suddenly stepping out to what appeared to be a river bank. It looked like a gorgeous and peaceful place. The sun looked to be setting at the moment and it made the water glimmer and glisten beautifully, it looked like liquid gold. The ground they walked on was lush green grass and before her was a wide river and on the opposite side of it she could see gorgeous, glistening castles settled deep into the landscape. It was breathtaking, there was so much to see, but then Harry turned to her, capturing her attention.
“Welcome to hell.” He grinned and she chuckled.
“It’s…beautiful.” She said and he smiled and nodded. “Where did Hecate go?”
“She had other business to attend to. I’m going to give you a tour.” He said as he guided her over to a dock where a lone man stood at the very end. The boards slightly creaked as they walked over to the man standing at the end of the dock.
“My king.” The older man said and half bowed as soon as Harry, well Hades, approached.
“Charon, this is Y/N. Y/N this is Charon, he-”
“Guides the souls down the rivers of the underworld.” She said and Harry nodded. Charon seemed pleased that she knew of him, the slight smile on his face gave it away, but it was gone as quickly as it appeared.
“Precisely. I will take her around myself.” He said and Charon nodded and then waved his hand and another boat started to emerge from the water. Harry got in first and then he helped her on and with a wave of his hand, they started to glide froward.
“The layout of the underworld is basically a circle that funnels down. This is the main river, the River Styx. With each full turn you make around the river you descend into a deeper level of the underworld. Obviously, the lower you go-”
“The less pretty it is.” She said.
“Exactly.” He confirmed as they started to veer to the right. “To descend you would find the portal in the water and that will take you lower.” He explained. “That small offshoot there is the river Acheron. The river of pain and suffering, this is the way all souls go and it takes them to the judgement chamber where their life will be weighed and their fate decided. This is all part of the top level. The main land is where we deities reside as well. The little bit of land there with the large building is the judgement chamber. And then we have some islands coming up in just a few moments.” He said as they glided through the water at a faster pace now that they were riding a current.
“That is Elysium.” He said and she gasped as she took in the island. It was lush and vast. Not as vast as the mainland where the deities resided but it was something to behold. There were also gorgeous greco-style buildings residing on a hills that peeked out of the tree line at its base. They weren’t all that close to the island, but she could make out a few people on the grassy fields. “This is essentially paradise. Not too many people go there. The souls that have earned a place in Elysium are given the choice to stay here or drink from the river Lethe and start a new life on earth.” He explained and she looked surprised.
“So reincarnation is a thing?”
“Yes and no. So for those who have lived a life worthy of Elysium, their paradise is whatever they choose for it to be if they choose to stay.” He explained, “So if I were to have died and made it here and decided to stay in Elysium, everything I was in my life stays with me. I would remember what I did in my life, my family, friends, and say I wanted to have you with me. I could very well ask for my paradise to be your apartment with you for ever and ever, though it’s not really you, of course, but to those who stay it doesn’t really matter. You could come out to the fields, befriend other fellow residents of the islands, essentially do anything you wanted to do. The universe is so vast that each person that chooses to stay in Elysium essentially gets their own world. That building you see at the top of the hill?” She nodded, “That’s the entrance and exit to each person’s paradise. Obviously there’s a hall there for feasts and anything else you could want. But most people who are here tend to stay in their own world. Their utopia.” He said and she smiled.
“Wow… and what if you grow tired of it?”
“Most don’t ever leave it. But you can always…start over. You can take the ferry to the river Lethe, have a sip and everything you were gets wiped clean and the essence of your soul is just used for a new person. Every single person is unique, but the substance of your souls are the same, that’s what makes you alive, it’s what some would call the breath of life or consciousness. So it’s not exactly like the typical reincarnation where you remember the lives your soul has lived through, it’s just what makes you a living being. And life just, keeps going…there’s not really any purpose or meaning intended for it, the meaning and purpose are entirely up to you as an individual, it’s just what you make of it.” He explained and she nodded in understanding and once again they took off. That kind of blew her mind; learning that the purpose of everything was just to be and make your own meaning. It gave her more peace than anything.
“How many people have made it to Elysium?” She asked as they started to pick up speed again.
“In all of history?” He asked and she nodded.
“1,000 maybe?” He asked and she looked shocked.
“Anyone I might know?” She asked with a smile.
“Ummm…J.R.R. Tolkien.” He said and she gasped.
“Really?”
“He was a wonderful man. Everything he did was done with love and the utmost care. He loved the earth, he loved looking after it. He took care of people even when they were awful to him…he was a stellar man.” Harry explained with a smile.
“Did he stay?” She asked and he nodded.
“Yep. He just wanted to be with his family again.” He smiled and she did too.
Before they knew it, they were rounding the river and he was guiding them down to the portal to the next level.
“This is as far down as we’ll go. I’m not going to take you all the way to the bottom, it’s not a nice place to be.” He said and she nodded. The second level was a bit darker. It looked very normal, but the land was vast and it looked like a city with farmland almost. Like earth basically. “This is the place where most people go. The Asphodel meadows and the Fields of Mourning, then running directly through these you’ll find the Cocytus river, it irrigates the fields. So on this level people basically live normal lives. They’re working the tasks they are assigned until they have worked off their bad deeds. Then, they get taken to the River Lethe, drink from it, and start a new life on earth.” He said and she hummed.
“So not too bad.”
“No, very neutral. They get food, water, to sleep, it’s all very humane. But kind of like prison I guess, where you do some labor so that you’re not just, chilling in purgatory. And depending on how much bad they did is how much time they spend here.”
“What about kids?”
“Children and any other innocents get taken straight to Lethe.” He said and she nodded.
“And our animal friends?” She asked and he smiled.
“Their souls are a little different, they don’t have the same consciousness humans do and are considered innocents as well. So the ones that do incredibly heroic things are often given to those in Elysium who want an animal companion. The others get to go back to earth like every other being.” He explained.
“Oh my god…” She gasped as she saw a river that literally looked like lava starting to stem off.
“That’s the Phlegethon river. It’s so hot that as soon as you touch it you just…cease to exist. It’s fast and painless. All three rivers  merge here, so if we get on it we’d go down to Tartarus - that is essentially hell.” He explained as they started to make their way back up. “You have to be incredibly cruel to end up there.” He explained, “But it’s not like eternal torture. Basically everyone eventually ends up in Lethe to start a new life except these people down here, some souls are just corrupt. I have no idea why or where that comes from, but after a few tries at redemptions I learned that it wasn’t worth trying to redeem them. They just came back to hurt people again because it’s not the same type of bad that everyone else carries inside, this is a capacity for evil that is beyond repair.” He explained and she nodded, “Once they have suffered their sentence they get sent to the Phlegethon and that soul ceases to exist. So people who have senselessly murdered others for example, they have their own level and are often subject to the same pain as their victims. So someone like Jim Jones…he’s still down there. He’s to spend time in several of the levels.” He said and Y/N hummed.
“Wow, a cult leader?”
“Yeah, most of the cult leaders are down there for a while on several levels too, mostly for harming innocent people. They’re some of the most evil people.” He said.
“Definitely. I approve of this system. Seems very fair to me.”
“I agree. I mean, I am a bit bias as it was my design…but I think it works justly.” He said as they started to emerge by Elysium again. Then they started rounding the back of the mainland and soon were approaching a larger dock. Other boats were lined up there neatly, they were as nice as the one Charon had produced for Harry, or Hades. “You are not moronic for calling me Harry.” He said to her with a grin. She groaned and playfully smacked his arm.
“Stop reading my thoughts!” She said with a grin.
“You think really loud! I’m sure everyone heard that.” He chuckled and she rolled her eyes at him.
“I don’t even know what that means! How can one think quietly?” She giggled and he smiled.
“It’s not about being literally quiet. It’s about quieting your mind. Regulating your emotions.” He said and she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. “I can sense them and that lets me in your head. So when I do this…” he said as he leaned in, just an inch from her face. Her pupils blew wide and she immediately started to get excited to have him so close. “Your amygdala starts producing and firing dopamine, oxytocin, glutamic acid…and you start to get excited. Then you get a little horny for me.” He said teasingly and she bit her lip, “There’s so much going on and we as celestial beings can sense that. You’re vulnerable to your emotions and that allows me to get inside. And when I’m inside I can start to figure out that you want me to kiss you. That you want me to touch you in all those places that are part of your body, but actually belong to me now. I can practically feel your longing for me as if it were my own longing, angel.” He said and her skin was littered with goosebumps upon hearing this, “I know it has been quite a while hasn’t it? I’ve neglected you for basically a whole month and you can’t help but be this loud for me. Can you?” He asked and she moaned and grabbed his face before smushing her lips into his.
She kissed him with the the fiery passion of a million burning suns. And as Harry gave into their kiss his emotions swelled and the adoration he felt for her overwhelmed him. Having her there with him in his world, having her meet the likes of celestial beings she never knew were real, showing her the secrets of the afterlife, it was such a special moment to him that he couldn’t help it as his joy just forced a surge of power from his body so great that the the waters of the river became agitated, and a beautiful breeze suddenly whipped around them, and the sun reemerged from the horizon. She pulled away upon feeling the sudden shifts around them and he chased after her lips, giving her a few more smiley kisses and when they parted and looked into each others’ eyes everything fell still again.
“Did you just…force the sun to come back up?” She whispered with a giddy grin and he actually blushed as she looked over his face. He looked just as surprised by this as she did.
“I-I guess I did.” He said bashfully and she nuzzled her nose to his which made him feel so happy and warm inside. It was such a cute gesture that had caught him off guard and then she kissed the tip of his nose before pressing her forehead to his and he was blushing again, showing off that gorgeous and boyish toothy grin. It made him feel innocent, like a child. That’s something he had never felt in the ages of his existence. He had never even been a child, but the warmth and safety and comfort he felt then with her was a feeling he would cherish for eternity. “That’s how much I love you.” He said softly.
“I love you too.” She smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and just held her close until they were docked safely. He helped her off and started guiding her down the path that would lead them down to all of the homes the deities lived in. “So how do we get to the top of the mountain?” She asked.
“We fly.” He said and she looked skeptical and he chuckled, “I’m joking. We teleport, through the portals.” He said and she cackled which made him grin.
He then guided her to a portal opening, similar to the one they had arrived through. Moments later they were emerging on a path that led them straight to the steps that led up to the gorgeous, deep green door of the dark colored, gothic style castle. She would’ve said mansion, but it was far bigger than a mansion. She literally was glancing up at the intricacies of the exterior as they made their way up the steps. When he opened the door she smiled as she immediately looked around. It was beautiful and dark, it obviously looked great, but she loved that it was lived in, it wasn’t pristine and museum-like, like she imagined it might be.
“I love this.” She said with a smile as she spun around to take in the whole foyer.
“Yeah?” He asked as he came up, hands circling her waist and she nodded in confirmation.
“Ummm…are we staying here w-with your wife or-”
“No. I told her about you when she came back and how it’s different with you.” he said. “After a few days she had a new place built for herself.”
“Oh OK…so she’s not happy about it.”
“I don’t think it’s so much hurt as it is jealousy.” He explained, “The way I’ve been with her up to when she left the last time was…like a queen. She technically is, but you get what I mean. But I’ve been sharing her forever, she’s never had to share me before or see me treat someone else the way I’ve always treated her.” He explained as he started guiding her up the grand staircase.
“Well sharing a body is far different than sharing feelings.” Y/N said and he smiled.
“You’re right, but I’m not sharing feelings though.” He said as he turned around to face her and her eyes softened. “Everything I did used to be all about her, for her…worshipped the ground she walked on and well…now you’re all I want. S’quite a big change.” He said and she hummed.
“I feel bad now.” She pouted and Harry shook his head.
“Don’t. I mean, she loved me for what I did for her, but never in the way I loved her.” He explained, “Hence the sharing option.” He added and she nodded in understanding.
“Would you share me?” She asked and he frowned.
“Absolutely not. Out of the question.” He said immediately and she giggled.
“Good.” She said and he smiled, “Do I have to share you?”
“Nope.” He said and she grinned, “I’m just yours, angel.” He said as his hand wrapped around the back of her neck and pulled her in for a deep kiss. She melted at the feeling of his lips smooching into hers. Her hands wrapped around his body to hold him closer.
“Mmmm, does the house tour start or end in the bedroom?” She asked and he grinned.
“Fuck the tour.” He mumbled and she smiled as he suddenly picked her up hurried up the staircase and into his bedroom. She smiled when she saw it for herself. It was huge and dark, the bed was enormous with the most beautiful, wooden black bed frame holding it up. The carvings along the tall posts were intricate and she couldn’t help but inspect them when he set her down on the floor. She then glanced up at the high ceiling and smiled, it looked like she was staring straight into space.
“Is that-”
“Yep.” He smiled. “I keep a portal open into space. It’s so gorgeous to look at.” He explained and she smiled and let out a satisfied sigh.
“That’s incredible, Harry. Or should I called you Hades or?”
“Whatever you want, angel.” He said and she smiled.
“What if I call you… daddy?” She questioned as she sat on the bed and he smirked, “Or sir? Do you like that better?” She asked before she peeled her shirt off and dropped it on the ground. His mouth was watering and his eyes grew dark with arousal. His heart thumped as she stood and started to undo the button of her pants. She grinned as she watched his eyes rake down her body, his lip bitten beneath his teeth.
“What’s the difference?” He asked as he came closer. He too started to undo the buttons of his shirt.
“Mmmm, I think daddy is more on a tame level…” she said as she reached out to help him finish off his shirt. She loved his body…she now understood why all the Greco-Roman sculptures featured such ripped ass men…if the gods were the inspiration then the artists did a great job of capturing their beauty. She smiled up at him as her hands slid up his bare torso and helped the material off of his shoulders. “You’d continue taking care of me how you do, but you can make some rules for me to follow during our…sexy time.” she said and he chuckled, “You’re in charge. Play your part and I’ll play mine. And when we’re through, back to your sweet wonderful self-”
“I think I’d be sweet and wonderful the whole time.” He said and she smiled.
“True…with Sir, it feels a bit more…official…I’d…” she felt herself blushing jus thinking of it, but he could hear what she meant.
“You’d be all mine. Everything?” He asked and she nodded and he continued reading her thoughts, “Want me in your head? Want me to use you? Want me to own every part of you?” He asked and she bit her lip, “You’ve got some nasty thoughts for such a sweet little thing, you know?” He teased and she leaned into him and hid her face in the crook of his neck and kissed him there. His cock was hardening up quickly and she kissed up his neck, “Everything you’re picturing in that beautiful brain of yours, I can do those things to you.” He said lowly and smiled as she reached his jaw and kissed him there again.
“Yeah?”
“Oh yeah, angel.” He smiled as his hands landed on her bottom. Kneading at her plush butt before landing a sharp smack. “When did you get so nasty?”
“After that first time.” She said and he chuckled.
“Liked that did you?” He asked lowly and she pulled back and nodded.
“Loved it. Love you. And I love what you do to me, how you make me feel when you just take me how you want. Just wanna be good for you.” She said and he smiled.
“You are. You’re so fucking good for me.” He hummed and grabbed her hands, “Now keep being good for me and suck me off.” he said lowly, “M’so fucking hard for you. Want to feel that hot little mouth drooling all over my cock.” He said and she smiled and tiptoed to kiss his lips before kneeling down and quickly undoing his pants so that she could get to him.
Her mouth watered as she released his cock. It slightly bounced from the weight of it as it fell forward. She wrapped her hand around him and glanced up at him as she let her tongue out of her mouth and placed his tip on the flat of it and he smiled as she licked and then sucked it between her lips.
“Fuck, good girl.” He hummed in satisfaction. Her slow strokes along his length and her sucking at his tip had his brain going fuzzy. He moaned when she tongued at his frenulum and he reached for her head, “Fuck yeah, keep doing that f’me.” He hummed and she did as she was instructed. Her free hand reached between his legs and cupped his balls which made his eyes close. She gave a gentle squeeze and he groaned in satisfaction. Her eyes squeezed shut as he pushed her head halfway down his sizable cock and with that, he was reaching the back of her mouth and after she adjusted she blinked her eyes open again before relaxing her jaw and sinking all the way down. “Oh shit…” he moaned with hooded eyes as his tip sunk into the tightness of her throat. Her eyes were tearing up, but when he read her thoughts, asking for more he smirked and thrust in a bit deeper. She choked down her gag as he started fucking her mouth. “Shit baby, so fucking good for me. Letting me fuck your throat like this. Should I give it to you like this more often?” He asked teasingly and she moaned however she could and Harry grinned before he pulled her off of him by the hair, “What was that, angel?”
“Yes, sir.” She responded breathily, her eyes were absolutely darkened with lust for him.
God, he wanted to take over her perfect and willing body but it was more satisfying to know that he didn’t need to go to those lengths to have her do to him all the filthy things he wanted. He smirked and then shoved her head back down and he sunk into the back of her mouth with far more ease this time around. She moaned around him, he could feel her trying to swallow but couldn’t and maybe what he did next was an evil thing but he found no will to stop himself as he groaned and came on the spot. His generous load flooded her mouth and he could feel her trying to swallow it down but in moments she was coughing around him and he pulled her away as she coughed out and swallowed down what was left in her mouth as she also swallowed gulps of air. His sperm was dripping out of the sides of her mouth and her mascara was running down her face, streaking down her kissable cheeks.
“That’s what you wanted too, wasn’t it?” He asked and she rested her cheek against his thigh and nodded. “Your words, baby.” He insisted.
“Yes, sir.” She rasped out as she continued to regain her oxygen. Having him that far down really took away her ability to properly breathe and it made her head all fuzzy.
“You’re so good for me. You know that?” He hummed his praise as he pushed her hair out of her face, “Stand up and look at me, angel. Let me clean you up a bit.” He said and she glanced up at him and he smiled as he helped her stand. His thumb and index fingers cleaned at the sides of her mouth and she eagerly licked up the rest of his cum from them. He then swiped away her smeared makeup to have her looking good as new. “God, I love you so much.” He hummed with a smile as his eyes met her own and his palm cradled her face.
“I love you too.” She whispered as she leaned into his touch.
“S’your turn now, angel.” He spoke softly. “How should I go about it, hmmm? You still feeling a little wild or do you want me just like this?” He asked and she bit her lip mischievously as her eyes met his, “Alright then.” He chuckled, “What’s gotten into you?” He grinned as he pulled her over to the bed and let her fall down into the plush and heavenly mattress.
She exhaled as she looked over his face, studying him just a bit. His hand reached out and traced down her side, he loved the curves of her body and the feeling of her skin under his fingertips. She smiled as he touched her lovingly, he could practically feel the life force in her emanating towards him when they were skin to skin. Not that the gods weren’t alive, but they were eternal, there was no need for their life force to fight to continue functioning, it was steady. But hers, it peaked and felt more intense when they were together. A human’s purpose was to find the things that made them feel happy and that in turn, helped them live longer and fuller lives. He was enamored with the fact that for her, he was what did it. He fed her soul all it needed to keep her going. He couldn’t wait until they could finally be together forever and ever. Yeah, he felt things a bit differently than she did but he felt what she felt as well. Like finally his existence had a purpose other than just dictating the fates of humankind. His purpose was to meet Y/n and fall in love. It had to be, because suddenly everything just made sense.
“Gonna answer my question?” He asked as she had just continued admiring him as he had been admiring her.
“Yeah sorry.” She giggled, “Just being here with you in this…realm?” She said with question, “I ca’t help but feel a little…small.” She explained and he frowned, “Oh no, not in a bad way. Just in a way that gives me some perspective. Like up on earth with me you’re just Harry, you know? Silly, sweet, far too giving, humble…normal.” she said and he smiled, “But being here, where you belong? I feel the difference.” She explained to him with a nod, “I feel how you’re different. How powerful you truly are. You’re a god.” She chuckled nervously, “And I don’t feel like I often treat you with the respect you deserve because we’ve always been on my turf, you know?” She said and he hummed, “So ummm…I think I’m just really settling into my role where I feel…comfortable right now. Which for some reason feels like a more…subservient position?” She said with a bit of questioning in her tone.
“Well first off, I need you to know that I don’t think of you any less whether we’re on earth or here. You belong by my side wherever we are, not beneath me.” He assured her and she smiled.
“Well maybe sometimes beneath you…” she murmured with a mischievous little smirk and he chuckled and rolled his eyes, “But ummm…I guess what I’m saying is that I don’t mind the power dynamic. It scares me a little but it also excites me.” She explained with a smile. “I like it more than I ever thought I would.” She shared and he smiled as his thumb ran over her kiss-swollen bottom lip.
“S’funny because when I’m with you I don’t feel like I have the advantage at all. Maybe that’s why I have to really try to…take on a more dominant role with you?” He shared, “You make me feel like I’ve always wanted to feel. Just a man.” He said and she smiled. “And yeah, I’d love to get freaky with you how you want.” he said with a grin and she giggled, “But I need you to know that I don’t think I’m bigger and better or more important than you. You’re all I ever wanted, I’ve been waiting eons for you.” He said softly and she blushed hard as her adoration just swelled and swelled until it manifested physically that way. “I’m so glad we found each other.” He said sincerely as he tenderly caressed her face.
“I am too.” Y/N smiled and then exhaled, “I often think about how…lucky I was that you were there that night.” She said and his gaze softened. “You didn’t have to interfere.” She said and he smiled slightly.
“I absolutely had to.” He insisted, “I was so angry for you.” He recalled, “The things that prick was thinking of doing to you…” he scowled, “And then seeing how pleased you were just to be there, possibly making a genuine love connection with someone? It was infuriating. You were so vulnerable, so well-intentioned. I couldn’t let him ruin your life. I had to do something. But that’s just it, isn’t it? Only I could have done something in that situation. It had to be me.” He realized and Y/N nodded. Her eyes were welled up with tears of joy because no matter how twisted the circumstance was, this had been meant to be.
“Yeah.” She whispered as she reached for his face. She cradled his perfectly sculpted jaw in her soft hand and he leaned into her touch. “I love you so much for it.” She said quietly and he smiled.
“I love you.” He smiled down at her before lowering himself enough to kiss her slowly.
Moments later his tongue was smearing against her own as their kiss quickly grew steamy. Her legs spread to let his hips down collide down into hers. The sizable outline of his cock rubbing over her clothed pussy was making her core tingle deliciously. She needed to feel his cock right up against her throbbing little clit. He was quick to peel off her underwear and sink off of the bed and onto his knees. He spread her legs and groaned at the sight of her. She was pretty everywhere. She smelled divine, it made his mouth water. He sponged kisses up her thighs until he was right up against her pussy. He let his tongue roll out of his mouth as his thumbs spread her open a little more and he started to lick at her entrance. Her little hole was oozing slick right onto his tongue. After she stopped squirming from that he teased around her clit until she was squirming again. Keening for him to mind her clit, shivering in anticipation of the feeling.
“Just a little bit more, baby.” He encouraged her, “Need you absolutely dripping f’me so I fit.” He mumbled against her pussy.
“Wh-what?” she muttered in question and he glanced up at her.
“Baby, we’ve been doing things while I’m in my human form.” He chuckled and her eyes widened a bit at the realization.
“Right…duh…so what’s…different?” She asked. She was doing her absolute best not to show her nerves but she forgot way too easily that he could read her mind. Her precise thought in this moment was- How big is too big?
“Well it’s not exactly what you might think. My anatomy actually adapts to fill you perfectly. The spots that I can get to sometimes I’ll be invading from the start. If you beg me to go deeper I’ll get in deeper. If you want me to stretch you even more than I do now, you’ll get that. If you had some humiliation kink and needed me to be smaller then…” he trailed off and Y/N was completely enthralled by the idea of this. She already loved that he overwhelmed her in every sense of the word, she couldn’t even fathom how much fun this would be for her.
“I’ll need to be more mindful before I crave more than I can handle.” She said with a smile and he grinned up at her.
“That would be wise.” He hummed before smooching his lips against her inner thigh. “But just know that whatever you desire, whatever you need, s’already yours.” He said softly, “You’ve got me in the palm of your hand.” He said and she bit her lip to suppress her grin as he said this, “I bend to your will. You are the single most powerful being in the universe and you don’t even know it.” He said softly with the most belly-wrenching rasp before kissing a bit further up her thigh again.
Y/N melted upon hearing him uttering these things to her and she reached down and grabbed him by the hair to push him back up against her dribbling pussy. “Please, keep going. I need to come on your tongue.” She insisted.
Harry wasted no time in stuffing his face back against her sopping folds and sucking on her clit gently as he slid his fingers into her easily. Y/N felt absolutely helpless and at his mercy as his fingers reached a bit deeper and rubbed against that particularly sensitive part inside of her that just drew the sounds out of her with far too much ease. It was a lethal combination and it was taking her right to the edge far quicker than she was used to. The way that the tingles inside of her were starting to build up so fast and the heat was starting to surge up to her head as she focused everything she had on that feeling was making her body tremble.
“I’m gonna come!” She warned through a pitchy whine before she started to wither in Harry’s hand. It felt so good as her hips writhed and followed the movements of his hand and mouth, she ground herself against his mouth desperately. Making the most of the experience, riding it out and relishing in the breathless and magical feeling as Harry continued to fuck his fingers into her until she couldn’t breathe. Her sharp inhale got caught in her throat when his fingers mercilessly railed into her g-spot until she was gushing into the palm of his hand. Her grip on his hair was only getting tighter as he forced her into a second orgasm. He loved to feel her trembling beneath him, unable to even make a sound from how much she was feeling. He groaned and bit into her thigh gently as he started to slow down enough to let her catch her breath. Her sharp inhale made him grin and break the gentle grip of his bite on her plushy thigh.
“Fuck…” she giggled breathily and he glanced up at her. Her eyes were glossy and lidded and his were just dark, he was already hungry for more of her.
“Are you alright?” He asked and she nodded silently with a pleased smile adorning her lovely face.
“Very.” She smiled. And as his eyes met with hers his heart started to thump so hard as the singular thought in he heard was how much she loved him.
“Angel?”
“Yeah?” She asked as she smiled down at him and raked his hair back and off of his forehead.
“I wanna go slow.” He hummed as he started to press himself up. “Need to show you everything I feel. Need you to understand how it feels for me.” He said breathlessly before kissing her deeply, “Can I?” He asked between kisses and she nodded.
“Yeah. Please, show me.” She hummed, her eyes, all full of need and longing, locked onto his gaze.
In seconds the energy shifted and she felt herself submerge deeper and deeper as he possessed her. She was looking at him from so far away inside of her mind. He was smiling  dopily as he surely read her thoughts.
“Ready for me?” He asked and she nodded and prepared herself but he wasn’t sinking into her he was actually playing with her brain. She suddenly started to feel all fluttery inside. It was so intense.
“Sometimes it’s so bad I swear I have to throw up.” He said softly, his voice echoed and bounced off of the walls of her empty mind. “I feel so warm. So at peace.” He continued saying and all she could do was smile from her prison. She was dying to feel him inside. His erection was pressed up against her, she could feel the steady throbs of it against her. “Need me inside, angel?” He asked, she was begging for it, “Alright.” He hummed. She loved the smugness emanating from him. Moments later she was regaining control of herself. “Want you here with me.” He said and Y/N smiled and slid her hand up his strong bicep.
“Please.” She whispered with need. He licked over his lips before guiding his cock to her entrance. His hips pressed forward as she spread her legs wider for him, eager to feel him start to push inside of her. They both sighed in relief as his thick, ruddy tip sunk into her.
“Fuck, angel…” he grunted lowly as her warm, plush walls squeezed around his cock.
Y/N moaned as he sunk in deep and ground into her, getting even further inside. He dropped his weight to his hips and really let her feel him inside of her. Her nails bit into his back as he started to rock his hips bak and forth setting a glorious pace. Their hips moved together like they were in a dance, back and forth, give and take. She felt so safe with him, she was obsessed with him. Her eyes squeezed shut when he ground down over her clit. A small whine slipped past her throat as he did things exactly the same until she was right on the edge.
“Not yet, baby. Not yet.” He instructed and she groaned in defeat as her limbs relaxed as her body eased out of it’s near climax.
He closed his eyes for a second and suddenly everything was growing dark and they were shrouded by swirls of stars and constellations. Her heart was swelling with awe and wonder at the vast beauty and then she just felt more love for Harry.
“I’m making one for you.” He said, “A constellation.” He clarified and she chuckled because she had no idea what to even say to that! If she had his power she would’ve made one of him too.
“I love you so much.” She declared softly and he dipped down to kiss her. He started to pick up his pace, delving deeper and deeper into her slick little pussy. He was dying to get her pregnant, the thought crossed his mind every single time he was inside of her. The was she squeezed around him, the ridges of her spongey and hot walls literally made him feel stupid. He felt like he lost all control, he would fuck her for hours if she could take it. He loved the idea of filling her up he had before…
“Can I come inside?” He asked and she nodded quickly.
“Please, daddy.” She emphasized and he groaned and started to go faster as he started to come undone.
“Fuck, angel…” he groaned before he started to grunt with each thrust into her as he came inside. “You come until I’m done, okay?” He instructed and she nodded. He slowed his pace for a moment before flipping her onto her knees before he continued sheathing himself inside of her with long, slow thrusts. Her arms felt trembly as her fists squeezed the covers tight. He was fucking right into her spot and it was making her so fucking wet. They could hear it as he started to fuck into her harder, “Oh you feel so fucking good…” he moaned before squeezing her hips hard and then holding her against him as he pressed in as far as he could before grunting as he busted another nut in her pussy.
Y/N’s mind was drawn a blank, she was absolutely drunk on him. Before she could even process it he had her on his lap and she was desperately humping up against him, fucking his cock with a rabid need. Her soft, little grunts were coming out in perfect time with her movements. Harry’s lips smooched down the valley of her breasts before he opened wide to suck her right nipple into his mouth. He sucked fervidly at it as she rode his cock, he needed to feel her coming around him.
“Come for me when you’re ready, angel. Wanna feel it.” He mumbled and she nodded. He snuck a hand between them and started to swirl his thumb over her clit, spurring on her orgasm. Y/N’s body was already taut and trembling, eagerly awaiting his permission to come. She started to lose her rhythm as the friction on her clit became too great of a distraction. Y/N was covered in goosebumps as the fire started to spread from her core all the way out to the rest of her body. Her tummy started to tighten as she felt her walls pulsing and throbbing around his big cock. She was absolutely stuffed of him. The wet sounds of his cum mixing with hers brought her that much closer to her end.
“I’m gonna come! Oh baby, I’m gonna come!” She gasped and he wrapped his arms around her midsection and hugged her close as she started to come. The pulses of her contracting walls around him pulled his final orgasm from him too. As she shivered in his arms he spurred on her pleasure by continuing to fuck her through his own orgasm, it was far too much but he could not stop. Being with her felt too good. They were both struggling through it, tears brimming their eyes until it was just too much and they had to slow down.
“I love you so much. Just so fucking much…” he mumbled as they fell onto the mattress and kissed passionately. It was such a special and tender moment, everything about this was right. And as the kiss ended they were suddenly back in his bedroom and she smiled at him. He just took her in for a few moments, admiring her beauty, but then his smile faltered for a moment.
“Hey, don’t think about my mortality…” she said and he sighed.
“How’d you know?”
“I can read minds too.” She grinned and he smiled slightly.
“Do you want all of that normal life stuff?” He asked and she shrugged.
“Not without you. But I also…don’t want to die.” She said and he nodded before kissing her cheek.
“There’s gotta be a way.” He said.
“If you find the way, you let me know. I’d say it’s worth a shot.” She said and he smiled.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.” She confirmed.
She had no idea what any of this would entail and she didn’t really care. All that mattered to Y/N was that he was going to find a way to let them be together. He was her other half. There were no if, ands, or buts, it was a divine union. He was hers and she was his, always.
