6 November 2024.
The US-backed terrorist state of Israel targeted a residential area on Yafa Street in Al-Tufah neighbourhood, east of Gaza City, killing and injuring several Palestinians, many of them children.
Translation by mydxbstyle:
‘While the whole world is busy and no one is paying attention to Gaza, the Israeli massacres continue against children and peaceful (citizens) who are safe (in their homes) in the Gaza Strip.
In just these moments, the Israeli Occupation army committed a massacre against children here in the Al Tuffah District in east Gaza City.
We are witnessing here this difficult and painful scene of these children who have lost their lives. They went to sleep hungry and were instantly martyred while they were still hungry.
We are reporting on a genocide against citizens and children in the Gaza Strip. And Gaza City and the Northern Gaza Strip are still being exterminated by the Israeli Occupation army.
We are witnessing these children and this difficult and painful scene of them. Also, next to them here are the corpses of martyrs here on the floor. They were retrieved a short while ago by Medical Teams.
It is an ongoing and continuous extermination (campaign) against families and citizens in the Gaza Strip.
And no one is paying attention to Gaza or the people of Gaza, or to these children who are still being exterminated, even till this very moment.
We are reporting on a genocide and massacres that do not stop for even a single moment.
These are difficult and painful scenes that nobody is able to look at nor is anyone able to handle it.’

In the Gaza Strip, there are two cemeteries that contain the remains of British soldiers, most of whom died fighting in World War One, a few of whom died in World War Two.
Owned by the UK-based Commonwealth War Graves Commission, they are known locally as the British graveyards, and are regarded as a major cultural and archaeological site in the Palestinian enclave.
The Gaza War Cemetery lies in al-Tuffah neighbourhood in the north of Gaza. It has 3,217 graves, of which 781 are unidentified. Second World War burials number 210.
There are 30 post-war burials and 234 war graves of other nationalities. The other is located in the north of Deir al-Balah, in the area of al-Zwayda.
Inside it lies 724 soldiers, all of them British. Both cemeteries have survived since Israel's war on Gaza began, just as they have survived many conflicts before.
In 2006, the Gaza War Cemetery was partially damaged by an Israeli missile. Israel paid £90,000 as compensation.
In addition, about 350 headstones needed repair after Israel’s three-week assault on Gaza in 2009. Few areas of Gaza have been spared the onslaught of Israel’s latest military operation.
But compared with the scores of Palestinian graveyards left in ruins by the assault, the British cemeteries appear to have been consciously avoided. Al-Shujayya, Beit Hanoon and Khan Younis's cemeteries have all been wrecked, as well as the graveyard of the Church of Saint Porphyrius - believed to be the world's third oldest church - which was reduced to rubble.
Running out of capacity since January and receiving scores of corpses every day, the municipality of Deir al-Balah has been reliant on mass graves to absorb the influx.
“The continuous Israeli bombardment leaves us with no choice. We dig tens of metres deep into the ground to bury people. There were days I had to bury 300 or 400 people," Abu Jawad Baraka, a 64-year-old undertaker, told MEE.
"But Israel can’t cause havoc to the British graveyards and will pay so much money in compensation to repair what was barely damaged. They’re sacred to them, and just thinking about it hurts.”

The fate of a 94-year-old Palestinian woman in Gaza remains unknown after the Israeli army stormed her home and ordered her family to evacuate, leaving her behind.
Naifa Rizq al-Sawada, who suffers from Alzheimer's and is unable to walk or speak, was in her home in the vicinity of the al-Shifa Medical Complex in the west of Gaza City on 21 March when the Israeli military invaded the area post-midnight and forcibly evicted its residents at gunpoint.
Her family fears that she might be kept in the building before it is bombed or used as a human shield by the Israeli army inside the Shifa Hospital.
Her daughter, Maha al-Nawati, recounted to Middle East Eye the events that took place on Thursday.
“We all live in one building consisting of different apartments, and my mum had her own apartment. But during the [war], my brother, his wife, and his children moved to stay in her apartment with her,” Nawati, 69, said.
“They used to take her with them every time they had to evacuate. When the Israeli forces invaded the al-Shifa area, my brother and his family would take her and move to my sister’s home in the Tuffah neighbourhood [east of Gaza]; and when they invaded the Tuffah neighbourhood, they would all move along with my sister to the al-Shifa area.
“But this invasion happened at around 2 am, they could not evacuate or move anywhere.”
Nawati, who had evacuated Gaza during Israel’s ongoing war on the strip and is currently staying in Egypt, says her brother and his wife told her that they were forced to leave her mother behind as they evacuated to the southern and eastern parts of the Gaza Strip.

Middle East Crisis: Sirens sound in Tel Aviv, 14 Palestinians killed in Israeli shelling attack
The Israeli army launched fresh airstrikes in Gaza on Wednesday, killing at least 14 people, as sirens sounded across central Israel after long-range rockets were fired from Lebanon.
14 Palestinians killed as Israel launches fresh airstrikes in Gaza
Three people were killed, including two women, when Israeli fighter jets struck a house in eastern Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, a medical source said.
Five more people were killed in another strike on a house in the al-Tuffah neighbourhood of Gaza City, the source added.
In the northern city of Beit Lahia, five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house, another medical source said.
The source added that another Palestinian was killed and five others were injured in a strike on a school housing displaced people in Jabalia in northern Gaza. Israeli troops also struck a house in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, injuring six people, including three children, another medical source said.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army intensified its ground offensive in northern Gaza, with dozens of homes blown up in the Beit Lahia and Jabalia neighbourhoods.
The Israeli army imposed a siege in northern Gaza last month, claiming it was trying to stop the Palestinian resistance group Hamas from regrouping. Palestinians, however, accuse Israel of seeking to occupy the territory and forcibly displace its residents. More than 1,800 people have died since then, according to Palestinian health authorities. Supplies of food and other aid are severely restricted.
Israel has continued its devastating offensive on Gaza since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, killing nearly 43,400 people and rendering the enclave virtually uninhabitable. For its actions in the blockaded enclave, Israel faces a genocide case in the UN International Court of Justice.
At least 25 killed in overnight Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon
At least 25 people were killed and 14 others injured in overnight Israeli airstrikes in central and southern Lebanon, the health ministry said on Wednesday.
The ministry said in a statement that Israeli warplanes struck a building in the town of Barja in central Lebanon, killing 20 people and injuring 14 others. The ministry expects the death toll to rise as many people are still under the rubble.
State news agency NNA reported that the bodies of five people were recovered from under the rubble after an Israeli strike on a house in the southern Lebanese town of Chehabiyeh.
Meanwhile, NNA reported that the Israeli army flew a military reconnaissance balloon over Baalbek in eastern Lebanon amid intense Israeli drone activity in the Bekaa Valley.
Since late September, Israel has stepped up its aerial campaign in Lebanon against what it claims are Hezbollah targets, an escalation after years of cross-border warfare between Israel and the Lebanese group since Israel launched its brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip.
More than 3,000 people have been killed and more than 13,500 injured in Israeli attacks since October 2023, according to Lebanese health authorities. Israel expanded the conflict by launching a ground attack on southern Lebanon on October 1 this year.
Sirens sound in Tel Aviv and throughout central Israel
Sirens sound throughout central Israel after long-range rockets were fired from Lebanon.
People hear them in Tel Aviv and many nearby cities. Sirens are also sounding in some towns near the border with Lebanon. The IDF says details are being investigated.
The Israeli IDF says about ten rockets were fired from Lebanon. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq said in a statement that drones were used to strike a “vital target” in Eilat.

Updates from Belal's GoFundMe!:
"Update April 27, 2024
The photo of me standing in front of a bombed car is when I attempted for a minute to risk my life to go to the northern part of Gaza to see my sister. In that moment, I felt the injustice, helplessness, and betrayal that is happening. My heart was torn, and I cried, not knowing how to describe to you the feelings and the things that were happening on the ground.
Update: May 2, 2024
The Gaza War Cemetery is a cemetery administered by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission on the Salah al-Din Road, Tuffah, Gaza City. In these images you can see how the occupation forces have destroyed it, exhuming the skeletal remains from under the ground that have been there since World War I. This is one of 16 cemeteries that were destroyed by occupation forces since the beginning of the war.
Update: May 7, 2024
The Rafah incursion took place on this day, tens of thousands of people were displaced for the second and third time under very intense bombardment. In a few hours, Bilal told me the occupation forces advanced and took over Rafah crossing, the only way out of Gaza, completely cutting people off from escaping to the outside world.
Update: May 14, 2024
Everywhere you go in Gaza, there is garbage burning, pollution, toxic gases, and worms. This landfill site that I walked by has been burning for 3 days because there is no other way of getting rid of garbage. The young children have high fevers and are sick. This war is killing us one way or another whether it is starvation or pollution.
Update: May 15, 2024
My sister has been displaced for the 4th time and the occupation forces have entered places they had withdrawn from before.
Update: May 28, 2024
I have adopted a cat after returning home, and she brought little kittens. The feeling when you are hungry but you have to feed the cat. The cat now loves us and always stands by the door waiting for us .. but sadly, all her kittens died due to lack of milk and malnutrition, plus the shelling and shrapnel that were behind the house killed a few.
Update: May 29, 2024
Every since my dad started getting tired and my nephew was martyred and I have been taking medications to sleep and I feel pain throughout my body.
Update: June 4, 2024
My sister's house (last photo) in northern Gaza was completely destroyed. The occupation forces entered their neighbourhood and ravaged through all the houses."
They're now at a little over $20K (AUD), out of their $160K goal. Please keep sharing and donating!
Chibi and Sketch commissions to help Belal and his family escape Gaza! 🇵🇸

Going through el-shab-hussein's fundraiser masterpost [link], I found the fundraiser for Belal Amzi Msallam and his family, who are, according to the latest update from their GoFundMe, in Central Gaza, trying to raise enough money to escape through Rafah. They are very low on funds and desperately need money, since Belal's father is elderly and diabetic and needs treatment for a leg injury, and his mother's mental health has declined.
Because of this, I've decided to open art commissions to help raise funds for them. If you send me proof of donation to their GoFundMe, I will draw you either a sketch or a chibi, for the prices listed above. Any donation counts, so please, if you can, consider helping them! If you can't, please share this and the fundraiser masterpost, as there are many other families who also need help leaving Gaza.
I will draw people, animals, furries, and so on. I won't draw nsfw, mechas and robots.

I am among the 33 percent of Palestinians in Gaza who are not refugees and whose family’s roots in the city extend back a few hundred years.
My family was historically split between the adjacent El-Tuffah and Shujaiya neighbourhoods - two of Gaza’s ancient and historic areas outside the core Old City - which allowed me to spend a lot of time in that area. But seeing this war unfolding, I am concerned that new and later generations of Palestinian children may not get to experience the older parts of the city as I did.
Still, just as we rebuilt the Great Omari Mosque after its destruction in 1917, we will rise from under the rubble and rebuild it once more. Israel can demolish our mosques, churches and streets, yet our spirit remains unbreakable.
Even if the occupier forbids us from rebuilding our city, I will write a poem for every restaurant, a novel for every neighbourhood, and an encyclopaedia for every town.
Israel might have destroyed every corner of Gaza, but it will never erase those corners of our memories.
