Teenaged Danny and Bruce meet somehow and become friends. (Summer camp? Boarding school? Training? Gala with Vlad? Can't be a TUE au because the clones need to exist for this particular fic.)
They lose contact when Bruce drops off the map to train to be Batman.
In the meantime, Danny has ascended to the Throne of the Infinite Realms and established himself as some sort of paranormal archeologist in the living world. (It's easiest way to declare treasure from the King's Coffers to the IRS.)
After Vlad got redeemed ( l like to think after he got over himself and realized he was in love with BOTH Maddie and Jack), he turned over all his research to Danny. This includes the fragmented cores of all the Danny clones.
After an issue where Danielle was destabilizing again, they found that if they introduced another person's DNA, that she would stabilize. Sam volunteers. So Danielle is stabilized with Sam's DNA, however it ages her down so now she's her actual age, 11 at this time. Danny is 26, and ends up adopting her, she chooses the name Ellie. Ellie ends up with some of Sam's attributes, like her eyes turning more purple and her hair being easier to tame.
After some researching, it's found that the clone's cores could reform themselves if they can absorb enough healthy ectoplasm and a stable human DNA donor.
When Dan breaks out and is shoved into a clone body, he asks Valerie to be his donor, as she was the last person he had respected. He ends up at three years younger than Danielle. He prefers the name Dante. His skin is darker than it was, and his hair gains a wave to it when in human form, it's still flames when in ghost form.
The first of the failed clones to reform about 5 years later got some of Tucker's DNA. A pair of twins that have heterochromia with one piercing blue and one ocean teal eye, on opposite sides of course. They go by Kelly and Sprite. (they were the bedsheet and pixie ghosts) Somehow the genetics introduced while they were still dormant resulted in them both being girls. They appeared as 9 year-olds.
The last one took the longest to reform and when he did, he reformed as 6 years old. Obsidian used some of Wes's DNA. He got Wes's green eyes and freckles.
Danny is able to work with each of his adopted but also genetic children to harness their powers and helps them re-form their ghost halves so they can choose how they present themselves to the world instead of being locked into their original forms.
Fast forward about 9 years and the Fenton family is attending a gala at a museum that Danny is lending pieces to in Gotham. He ends up running into Bruce who is there with his gaggle of children. They end up getting lost in their conversation and are going over the different things they've been doing since they last saw each other. They end up dancing together at least once, Danny beaming and a quiet smile on Bruce's face not normally seen when he's in his Brucie persona.
Somehow the children of both of them have all found each other and are observing their respective parents closely, noting that they haven't seen their father look so besotted in a long time.
Numbers are exchanged and group chats are made. They plan to Parent Trap their fathers together.

— BURNER CELL ; 3 ; DABI ; 荼毗
summary: a night out with dabi. pairing: dabi / f!reader ; quirkless word count: 4.6k tag: humor, maladjusted dabi meets normal adult woman, flirting, canon-based world building, texting as a plot device, slight au, univeristy student!reader, marijuana mention, drinking, blowjob mention, public sex mention, dabi is a guard dog a/n: i know that everyone is always like "yes daddy dabi mmm fuck me yea he's a hard dom" but i for one think he is so scarred that the idea of intimacy floods touya with absolute panic. like, pleasure???? he barely knows that when it's by his own hand. ANNNND we WILL be talking about that! ← previous | the tag
You do end up getting a good grade on that paper.
Which, frankly, is a relief, because ever since you decided to text Dabi, life has been weird. Like... weird-weird. It wasn't the catastrophic derailment you feared, but a slow burn (ha, get it?) of weirdness you feel in your bones.
I mean, Dabi is weird. He is consistently inconsistent in his texting. Bursts of haptic feedback frequently interrupt your focus in lectures that week, and you find yourself being Pavlov-dogged into checking after two or more vibrations break through the usual iMessage silence. He acts like he's known you for years. He's weird.
He's a terminal triple-texter. He's a chronic user of text emojis that went out of style years ago. Weird.
→ dabi ; 9:34am ya idk princess i think i might kms public execution sounds soooo hot rn i am so fuckin hungover what r u up 2 o wait it's tues. ur in class rn aren't u lmfao :p
← bar girl ; 9:36am why are you hungover on a tuesday
→ dabi ; 9:36am depression idfk
He's weird. Sorta funny. And he's clingy.
Clingy if clingy means vying for your attention — and clingy if clingy means texting you again if you don't respond after an hour and a half of silence. God forbid you overlook his texts in favor of doing the dishes, brushing Mizu, or even showering.
Friday evening rolls around and Dabi is still texting you.
→ dabi ; 6:56pm ...i asked you a question it's friday r u going out with nuri + the rest of blackpink or nah :/
You exhale tightly, sweeping the towel closer and ignoring the gathering water droplets on your phone as you hammer back a quick reply.
← bar girl ; 6:57pm i am begging you to let me shower in peace
He's typing.
→ dabi ; 6:57pm what do u want me to say to that. "aha without me????? :p" stfu i don't care about ur shower giran said ur going out.
It does make you laugh — one thing about Dabi is that the flirting is rudimentary and blunt, and he always extinguishes it before you even react. It's sort of refreshing... in a confusing way. A weird way.
He can't help it.
You're kinda fun. In a weird way.
Touya doesn't know what the fuck he's doing if he's being honest with himself. It's not like this is his thing. He didn't think this would turn into a weird, big deal — not that it is... But, his body and brain feel like it is because he likes texting you and hates when you don't respond. Whatever. He didn't think you'd seriously take his number at the bar. No one is ever stupid enough to take him up on that offer.
You're just some stupid college girl who happens to be nice and honest and has a cute cat. A dime a dozen. He can ignore you, leave you on read, and dump you for the next item whenever he wants. Any day now.
Just... Not today.
Your text lights up his lock screen. A scarred thumb swipes it open with ease.
← bar girl ; 7:01pm yes, dabi, i'm going out with them
His smirk is crooked and it pulls at the staples in his cheeks. It's enough for him — and now that he's gotten the reply he wants, he drifts into that sudden radio silence that confuses you.
You're getting ready, phone charging, and find yourself hovering back into your bedroom between hair and make-up — you tap your phone awake, and each time: there's nothing.
It's not until you're in the back of the Uber, shouldered between Nuri and the others, that he finally responds. You squint in the dark at the notification, scoffing to yourself.
→ dabi ; 9:44pm where r u
Something ignites in the back of your mind — the culmination of weirdness. Dabi's looking for you at the bar. Of course, he is.
You hammer back a reply, the two shots you took in the kitchen with the girls — before getting in the rideshare — are creeping in. The glow of your text illuminates your heavy liner and lash.
← bar girl ; 9:45pm relax hot stuff
His reply is almost instant.
→ dabi ; 9:46pm just bc ur pretty doesn't mean u can tell me what 2 do now let's try that again princess where r u
His texts tingle something in the back of your mind. It's the weirdness. It's back. You don't hate it, but it flusters you — just enough that you're quick to respond.
← bar girl ; 9:46pm two min away
Again, his reply is instantaneous.
→ dabi ; 9:47pm :)
And unsettling.
When the ride pulls up to the bar, everyone is quick to thank the driver as they pile out of the back seat and into the crisp evening air. It's getting colder. As you give the Uber driver another kind goodbye and shut the door, you can hear Nuri squealing — a telltale sign that she's found her man of the hour. Or week. Or month. You don't know.
According to Nuri, Giran isn't as shitty as you originally thought.
After all, that new (and expensive) purse on her arm is a gift from The Broker himself.
The acrid smell of tobacco and a touch of something else curls around you in greeting as you turn and blink into the blaring neon signs of the bar. By the edge of the building, Giran is hugging Nuri while smoke curls from his nose like a dragon.
The lean, tall figure in all black beside him puffs quietly on the shared cigarette.
So much for quitting.
Giran insisted on stepping out for a smoke — and well, Dabi was bribed with the offer of a fresh hand-roll. He's got his vices. He hasn't smoked in, like, three weeks. Cut him some fucking slack. S'not like it's a Marlboro. And it's definitelynot that shit Splinter smoked him out with — that horrifying strain that nearly killed both him and Shigaraki one night.
It's a shitty, cheap spliff.
His eyes, cutting and blue, pin you where you stand. He takes another purposeful drag as his turquoise eyes rake over your figure. You look good. Real good.
Pretty.
Between the wisps of smoke, there's something floral, sweet, and soft in the air.
Your perfume.
You ignore the creeping feeling of becoming prey and instead, heed Nuri's laughter and smiles as she waves you over to meet Giran formally. You do as you're told, toddling beside the others as you shake Giran's hand. His dark eyes flicker with something like recognition before drifting sideward to Dabi.
"We're going to head in — I'll grab us all drinks," he grins, the look a little lopsided; Nuri coos and the others hardly protest. Giran takes one last drag of his hand-roll before passing it back to Dabi with a wink; his smile unsettles you, "You two finish that for me, yeah?"
With that, you're left outside the bar with Dabi and his cigarette.
He tugs on the hood over his head a little, sniffling and rubbing his bottom lip with his thumb as he balances the burning gift between his fingers. His eyes haven't left you once.
You take the opportunity to look him over. Ripped jeans, a broken-in pair of Doc Martens. There's a black t-shirt hem poking out from under the baggy, black hoodie on his shoulders. Some scraggly, nearly illegible metal band name is embossed into the material.
There's a black face mask tugged around his chin as he aims to finish the cigarette. He flicks the embers into the wet pavement in a practiced move. The burning butt hangs between two long and deft fingers.
"You're starin'."
You cross your arms, tilting your head as you meet his gaze. "I thought you told me you quit."
His laugh is a raspy, dangerous wheeze. Dabi leans back against the building's black brick. Beneath his hood, you can see his blue eyes narrow.
"Don't get yer panties in a twist," Dabi murmurs as he swallows and exhales, "It's a single spliff. S'nothin'."
Ah, so that explains it.
Arms still crossed, you gesture easily for a hit. You crook two fingers, black nail polish glinting in the neon lights. Dabi hesitates, the dwindling cigarette perched between his lips.
"No," he denies the request, smacking your hand down and away, "M'not corrupting you."
"Corrupting me?" you laugh, tucking your hand back under your armpit to stay warm. You're regretting not bringing a jacket. You just didn't want to deal with coat check, "Seriously?"
It's bad enough he's dragged you into his shit.
"Giran's shit sucks anyways," Dabi explains away roughly, flicking the butt of the remainder of the roach, "S'barely enough to get a rat high."
"Perfect. I love rats," you chirp back; your grin is slow, "I'm a one-hit wonder anyways."
Suddenly, Dabi feels the need to protect you surge inside of him. He puts greater distance between you and the spliff on instinct.
What the fuck is happening?
"I'm not getting you high," Dabi says firmly, taking one last drag, "And I'm not giving you any drunk cigarettes either. S' against my glimmering, perfect morals."
"Riiiight," you nod; the weirdness is ebbing away. Right now, it feels like another night of texting. Easy. Fun. You sigh and shake your head, "Must be hard being such a perfect guy."
"You've got no fuckin' idea," he drops the roach to the pavement as he exhales long and hard before gesturing to his lonely state outside the bar, "Gotta beat th' girls offa me."
"Is this you wallowing?" you ask in good humor as Dabi cracks his neck.
"No, this was me waitin' fer you t' show," he corrects before lobbing one long arm around your shoulders and tugging you close to his side, "Cuz' m'gonna have t' beat the guys offa you."
He smells like fire and tobacco and a little bit of weed, but also laundry detergent and crisp, sporty deodorant. Like a real person, and not like some mythic League of Villains member who needs to hide his face to even be here.
He tugs the face mask back up his jaw, the hood still on.
You're back to feeling weird. Like prey. But, less like the rabbit in his snapping maw, and more like the treasured kill. Is that what this feeling is? He feels it too. He's been feelin' it.
Is he catching feelings?
Are you?
This is why he asked if you were going out, isn't it? So he could keep an eye on you. So he could keep anyone else away from you.
Clingy.
You don't say anything, only slip him a curious look when he tosses the bouncer a crinkled wad of yen from a well-worn wallet for your cover charge. You allow him to lead you into the bar, and you allow his arm to stay around your shoulders. The tall, dark-haired arsonist weaves easily through the chatter, music, and dancing — and easy as breathing, his arm slips from your shoulders and down your arm. He doesn't hold your hand — but he does tug on your wrist as the crowd bunches together near the bustling bar.
The back of him cuts an intimidating figure.
Dabi is tall.
Wordlessly, he manages to make enough room at the bar. There's an open seat. He nudges his chin towards it, allowing you to slip up onto the stool. It feels like you've got your own guard dog of sorts.
You don't know how to feel now.
The weirdness is back on your tongue.
Dabi is fiddling with his dangling, silver earring as he speaks. It's loud in here. Busy. Lots of bodies. The thrum of the bass is heady and heavy in your chest. He has to lean down — to get close to your ear — for you to hear him.
"Whaddaya want t' drink?" he calls over the baseline, his arm leaned on the back of your seat.
You turn your cheek, wondering if you should milk this whole guard dog act. You make a move for the small purse hanging on your shoulder. Dabi waves you off, looking non-plussed.
It's a peace offering, he reasons. For blowing your phone up this whole week... Right? Not like he has to apologize. That's what people do. They fuckin' text one another. S'whatever.
"Just lemme buy you a fuckin' drink, will ya? Don't make it a thing," he says again, tugging off the black face mask and stuffing it into his back pocket.
He doesn't really need to worry about anyone clocking who he is in here — it's dark enough, and not exactly the best bar in Kamino Ward. Dabi tugs his hood down and runs a palm through his thick, black hair. He's fixing his cowlick, trying his best to hide the creep of shyness.
Don't make it a thing.
Isn't this a thing? This whole thing?
You sit up a little straighter, leaning in to speak up over the music. At your cue, Dabi leans down again and your nose nearly brushes the staples crawling up his cheeks. "Fine. Get me a rum and coke."
It's confusing. You're... fine with being this close to him. No one is ever this fine with being close to him. He's mangled and scarred and fucked up, and usually fear makes people bite. You haven't done that.
You've treated him like a normal fucking person.
He scoffs. He turns his face and you can smell the cigarette on his breath. And mint. The echos of chewing gum.
"No need t' be frugal about it, princess."
Your eyes narrow incrementally, trying to sus out what the everloving fuck is happening right now. Is this real? Is he real? Are you seriously here, letting Dabi buy you a drink after allowing him to blow your phone up with nonsensical texts all week? The Dabi. The League of Villains' Favorite Fire Starter, Dabi.
Texting him was a bad idea.
Letting him buy you a drink is an even worse one.
Your rum and coke and his shitty beer are traded for another wad of wrinkled yen with the bartender. You accept the bought drink, gathering the straw before knocking back a strong sip. Dabi swigs his beer, but his blue eyes stick on you in the swiveling strobes of the bar. Blue eyes connect with yours and you find your gaze hitching on the way his Adam's apple bobs as he drinks.
You never considered Dabi handsome.
Not until this moment.
Maybe that's where you went wrong with all this. Maybe you fucked up by assuming you'd never be swallowing down a wad of attraction as heavy as a magnet. It's so apparent you almost choke.
His pierced brow quirks as he side-eyes you.
What the fuck is going on tonight?
It's fine. You smother the thoughts blaring in the back of your mind like a fire alarm with another longer sip of the rum and coke in your hands. The condensation is cold and wet. Grounding. Remember who you are. Not a villain.
He can eat you alive.
But, Dabi... He... doesn't really want to.
You're squeezing the lime into your drink when Dabi leans in again.
"What's the deal with Giran an' Nuri, huh?"
You follow his eye-line and spot the two in question at the far end of the bar. They're mirroring you and Dabi except for the distinct amount of touching. Nuri can hardly keep her hands off of Giran. The Broker doesn't seem to mind. You lean into Dabi's personal space as you respond. Both of your gazes remain on the two.
"I told you," you remind him, "She thinks she can fix him."
Dabi's laugh is dry in your ear. "Is gettin' in his pants part of her plan?"
You roll your eyes at him, turning to lean a bit closer. "He bought her that Hermès bag. I don't really blame her for wanting to sleep with him after that."
It's a joke.
Dabi smirks into his beer. "What, is buyin' you a drink not enough? I gotta go designer now?"
You're impressed that you don't stutter; liquid courage be damned. "Is that an offer?"
Dabi sneers. He shoves you with his elbow albeit lightly. It's a signal — drop it. Just like how he extinguishes any flirting over text, he does it now in person.
"S' dedication on his part."
"Maybe it's love," you coo as you take another sip and look up at him, "Maybe they're meant for one another."
Touya drums his knuckles on the back of your bar stool as he rolls his jaw. He's quiet for a while — busy dragging his eyes around the establishment. Seems like everyone here has someone with them. Someone they care about. How the fuck do they do that? How do people trust like that? Touya's blue eyes narrow in on Giran and Nuri once more, only to feel like he's intruding. The sight of a long kiss shared makes Dabi drag his eyes away from the two at the end of the bar. A pang of longing strikes up his core, only to be worsened when he looks down and sees you staring at him again in the darkness of the bar.
"What?"
"You're high," you say with a growing smirk, "Aren't you?"
"Fuck off—"
"—I knew it."
"M'not high," Dabi counters, realizing as he speaks that he is. Just a little bit. Not enough for it to be a problem, "Shut up."
You feel a little bit like you've won a game. The rules were never clearly defined, never agreed upon — you watch him inhale sharply through his nose as his eyes dart around the bar behind him.
"Then why'd you get so quiet about that?" you pry, leaning against the cool, damp counter as you swivel in your stool. Your knees brush his thigh.
Maybe if you pretend that attraction isn't there, it will go away.
Maybe it will die a lonely death in the pit of your heart.
"About what?" he grits out, leaning onto his elbow. He crosses his boots at the ankle, trying to ignore the burn of your body pressed against his in the closeness of this bar. Dabi's fingers pick at the label of his beer absently.
"About looooove," you yammer on, waggling your head and leaning closer, "What, does Mr. Bad Boy not believe in love?"
Dabi scoffs in your face. "You're drunk."
Your lips part. You look offended — but he can see a smile tugging at the corners of your lips regardless. You press a palm to your chest as you speak, "I'm fine."
"Fine enough for another rum 'n' coke?" he asks as he nods towards your empty glass. The ice is melting. Dabi'ssmirking.
You flatten your look. "I'm buying it."
"Nope," he pops the 'p'. He's wrangling for his wallet again and digging it out of the back pocket well-worn pair of skinny jeans. His fingers are quick, flipping the torn and half-destroyed wallet open as he flags the bartender down, "I told you. Don't make it a thing. Do y' want another one, or nah?"
You squint at him.
Then, you concede.
"One more."
Dabi's grin breaks across his face like a lightning strike. Dangerous. "Good girl. Was that so hard?"
The weirdness gives way — it burns. Your chest feels like it's on fire. If Dabi notices, he doesn't say shit. You're glad. You don't know if you'd ever be able to come back from it if he did.
There's a part of him that knows what he's doing. There's a part, deep down, that knows this will end up hurting worse than anything imaginable, he's sure. But, whatever. So it goes. Touya doesn't give a shit. Hurting makes him feel human.
That rum and coke arrives just as some clean-cut, dopey-looking fucker strides up the bar beside you. He's got a patterned button-up on and a watch that looks too heavy for his wrist. Dabi is paying, jutting his jaw out in thanks to the bartender, when Mr. Perfect tries to strike up a conversation with you.
His teeth are eerily white in the bar's dark as he tries to get your attention.
You try to hide a wince when the stranger's hand touches your shoulder.
(You don't wince when he touches you, Dabi realizes smugly.)
Before the man can even talk to you, there's a pair of turquoise eyes boring a hole into the man's skull.
"Hey, pal," comes the rasped crackle of Dabi's voice over your shoulder, "She ain't interested."
You haven't heard this tone from him before — it's flat and hollow and sharp, almost like being on the receiving end could make you bleed. It takes a moment for it to register, and when you blink up at Dabi, you realize that he's angry.
Your fingers tighten around your drink.
The man doesn't seem to get it. He just laughs — and tries to brush off the attempted cock block by doubling down.
Bad idea.
You can't help but freeze when Dabi moves, sliding behind you and cornering the man against the bar. Suddenly, the resident arsonist's poor posture is forgotten. His height unfolds a wave of intimidation as he roots his fist in the back of the guy's collar.
"You know," Dabi grits with a flash of his eyes as he leans into the man's personal space; the expression could be mistaken for a smile, but you know better, "I really fuckin' hate it when I have to repeat myself."
You tighten your jaw. You take a sip of your drink and try to ignore the tension developing beside you. You sip your rum and coke and pray this doesn't become a bigger scene than it needs to be.
One hard shove displaces the unwanted attention — and now Dabi has assumed the spot on the other side of you. He leans on the bar, both elbows planted, and then tips back his beer. The victor.
Your eyes dart over your shoulder. The man is gone, lost in the flood of bouncing bodies on the dance floor.
Morally speaking, you're on the ropes. You're a grown woman. You can take care of yourself. You know how to say no. You know how to tell a man to fuck off and eat shit. You can do it, and... you would. You were about to—
"Stop makin' it a thing."
Dabi's voice cuts through your thoughts. You blink back at him and realize he's avoiding eye contact.
You cross your legs, exhale, and rub the spot between your brows.
This bastard is giving you a headache. But, y'know, nothing new there.
"I could've handled that on my own, y'know—"
Dabi scoffs. He taps his finished beer down onto the counter before pushing back upright and turning to look at you. His hair hangs in his eyes.
"—That's nice. I don't care—"
"—But, thank you."
You pin him with a look that's all too unamused, and Dabi doesn't like that his heart does some weird fuckin' stutter thing. The villain's brows knit for a moment as he tries to sort out what the fuck is happening, and then he rolls his jaw and shrugs. He goes a little rigid at the thank you.
"...It's whatever."
It's cute.
Your expression softens. You settle into your seat and take a sip of your drink. Dabi's stare is off a thousand yards, rooted somewhere between the drink coaster and your thighs.
"Stop making it a thing," you parrot back at him, nudging him with your elbow.
It drags him back to earth. Dabi snorts through his nose, then winds his arms around himself as he makes a point of scouring the bar. His voice is dry. "It's not a thing."
Right.
Right.
For once, you're thankful for the interruption of your friends begging you to come dance.
The three of them are beaming brightly, their hands tugging on your arms and shoulders as they swarm you at the bar. You have to laugh; they're insisting the song that's playing is your song but you have no recollection of ever even liking this artist. It's a ploy, you know, to get you to let loose.
You glance towards Dabi.
You swear he's almost smiling.
"I don't dance," he rasps, leaning lazily against the bar, "So don't ask."
"Fine," you murmur, wriggling down from the stool and taking a brave, long sip after tugging your skirt down; you brush your shoulder against Dabi's as you step away from the bar, "Suit yourself."
Your friends are cheering, tugging you into the fray. And Dabi is left there, leaning against the bartop, watching you disappear into the crowd.
Maybe you should have known, then, that this exact predicament was bound to happen.
It happens four songs in — right after you finish the rum and coke that was delivered right into your hands when your darling Nuri made her appearance. The lights sway, slow to catch up to the bob of your head as you let loose.
You smell that cologne first.
Then, there are hands on your waist.
A big watch, no doubt a fake, snakes around the front of your waist. Your brows knot together as your mouth curls into an angered scowl. You're about to stomp on the guy's foot, you're about to throw the watered-down dredges of your drink in the guy's face.
But, as quick as the touch came, it was gone.
Then, the smell of fire on the night air.
The new hands that fall on your hips are decidedly more conscious. They don't tug or pull, they simply curl around the soft curve there. The owner of the hands leans in, his chest pressed to your back, as he's jostled by the crowd. The studs on his belt are cool against the skin above your lower back where your shirt has ridden up.
When you look back, familiar turquoise eyes are staring.
He leans closer, your stride in the dance unbroken, and raises his voice over the bass.
"Don't make it a thing."
The position is entirely too intimate for you to even register. Then, his eyes flick a little lower, and you lean your head back a bit against his chest. Your hips rock a bit, only enough to keep the beat, as you tilt your chin and lean to speak into his ear. Your nose brushes his scars and his entire body reacts.
"I thought you didn't dance?"
If your hips roll against him again, you try to tell yourself it was on accident.
And just like that, he's swooping your finished drink out of your hand and he's gone.
He doesn't dance. He... He doesn't... feel things. He could walk out of this bar and feel nothing. He could dump his burner in the harbor and never look back, and there would be no skin off his back.
Just... Not today.
Not today, he tells himself as he steps outside with a bummed cigarette in hand trying to adjust himself in his jeans. It dangles between his lips as he grunts, puffs, and the keys on his belt jingle. Touya rubs his palm against his eye as he tries to get a grip.
You're just some stupid college girl who happens to be pretty and kind and has a nice ass. A dime a dozen. He can fuck you, leave you on read, and dump you for the next item whenever he wants. Any day now.
So why doesn't he?
He could buck the fuck up, head back in there, and drag you to the bathroom.
He could. H-He could. Give him ten minutes, and he could make a mess across your face like he keeps havin' those dreams about. Give him some time and he'll have you screamin' his name — and no one would even hear it over the music.
Touya tugs at his hair.
He could.
That doesn't mean he wants to, though.

Flynn's really poorly, guys. Things are looking a bit more hopeful now, than they were even yesterday... but it's very much still touch & go. Details below the cut - discussion of serious illness, veterinary visits, potential pet loss etc.
Flynn's dizzy/sickness episode turned out - we think - to be a severe middle/inner ear infection, causing not just the obvious symptoms of loss in balance but pain. His mobility improved but pain worsened - plus he still felt sick - & Flynn just began eating & drinking less & less.
He was admitted Monday morning, we planned to have him on a drip, start antibiotics & pain meds, then I'd collect him at the end of the day. Bloods would be checked just as a precaution.
I got a call quite soon after leaving - the situation was dire. Flynn's kidney values had skyrocketed since the last check 6 days earlier. As an example - his creatinine level had been at 265 (high - he's got chronic kidney disease - but manageable)... on Monday, it was 839!!! That is really, really bad. Passing away within 24 hours bad.
The only good news was that the vet believed this was brought on by Flynn's illness & *sometimes* where kidney failure is due to an acute "injury" (like dehydration) a dog can be brought back from the brink. Flynn was taken to the vet's main branch in the city, to go on a drip for a solid 48hrs.
I had some good updates - Flynn was behaving nicely (thank goodness - I wasn't sure how he'd tolerate being admitted), looking more perky, ate *15*! pieces of kibble Tuesday morning (a nurse hand fed him & counted!), he was interested in sniffing about outside. However, by Tues evening, Flynn seemed to be going downhill - he was apparently looking dull/miserable & refusing all food. Obviously, this was extremely worrying.
Today, Wednesday, marked 48hrs (what a hideously long 48hrs!). I phoned 1st thing - nurse said Flynn was looking more alert again. Midday I got told he'd eaten a small meal for the 1st time! Then the vet called with blood test results. Flynn is IMPROVING - all numbers are going in the right direction currently!! Creatinine is down to 540. Now, honestly 540 is still dangerously high but dropping by 300 in 2 days is a very positive sign.
Now we know there's hope of recovery, Flynn will stay on a drip until Friday afternoon before getting rechecked. We're not yet in the clear. Dogs in acute kidney failure have about 40-60% chance of survival & Flynn's a senior (it was actually his 12th birthday yesterday, on May 20th), with one kidney & pre-existing issues with that kidney. However, as of now, Flynn seems to be fighting to get better & I am far more hopeful than even 12 hours ago, when I truly wasn't sure I'd even have a dog by Friday.
The house is so empty without Flynn here. I hate it. This is already the longest he's ever been away from me. Desperately hoping he'll beat the odds (yet again), get better, come home & we'll have more time together. Come on Flynnie!!

Summary and pictures under cut (sorry I'm like a week late)
Digimon Liberator

They revealed the name of the last character from promotional materials for the Digimon Liberator web comic, Close and Sunarizamon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part I of Episode 7 came out (today) on 10/10, and part II will be released on Thu. 10/24. (so, regular schedule)
Furthermore, chapters Debug.5 and .6 are scheduled to release mid november.
EX-08 Chains of Liberation
The trailer shows some new card illustrations, which we've known about from product descriptions: Voltobautamon, Sakuyamon X and Justimon X.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Extra Booster Chains of Liberation will release in Japan on 29th of November. This Set will include characters, and cards, we've been introduced to already through the web novel: Tyrannomon, Dinomon, Ryutaro Williams, PolarBearmon, Skadimon, and Suzune Kazuki.
Tumblr media
After EX-07 introduced the trait NSp (Nature Spirits), this set will give it more support, as well as introduce DS (Deep Savers) and NSo (Nightmare Soldiers). From product information we can assume this set will also feature Myotismon and Plesiomon. With Myotismon and Piedmon DNA Evolving into Voltobautamon, we might also get a Deep Savers DNA Evolution.
Tumblr media
We will also get "Shoto Kazama's New Trump Card" - MedievalDukemon/Gallantmon! This card had already been featured in Digimon Liberator web comic Episode 6. It has both [Vortex Warriors] and [Witchelny] in its traits (as well as [Warrior]) so hopefully it will see more play than the one from EX4.

Trying to distract himself as the producers filmed other things, Y/N found his eyes drifting toward the mansion’s tall silhouette. The fairy lights flickered in the trees like lazy fireflies, casting little freckles of gold across the gravel driveway. It all looked like something out of a dream, or a very expensive perfume commercial.
The crunch of gravel under tires drew his attention back to the driveway. Another car had pulled up. Sleek. Subtle. The kind of arrival that didn’t scream for attention, but still turned heads.
Then he saw him.
The guy stepped out with a kind of effortless calm. Not cocky. Not loud. Just... composed. Like someone who didn’t need to show off to be noticed. Blond hair, neatly brushed, with bright, curious eyes that scanned the space before locking on Y/N. He smiled, a quick, boyish flicker of a grin that hit just right.
He wore a pale blue button-up, sleeves rolled casually to the forearm, tucked into dark navy trousers. Brown leather shoes, clean but clearly worn in, completed the look. Not flashy. Just intentional. Functional. Like him.
“Hey. I’m Liam,” he said, accent unmistakably Kiwi, voice steady and unhurried.
“Tell me about yourself,” Y/N asked, curiosity piqued by the quiet confidence.
“From New Zealand,” Liam said, nodding. “I’m 22. I’m a firefighter. Do a bit of bartending on the side, when I’m not on-call.”
Y/N raised a brow. “And what made you want to come here?”
Liam shrugged slightly, a half-smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Honestly? Thought I’d regret it if I didn’t. You’re, well, you’re kind of hard to ignore. Figured I might as well try.”
The way he said it was so casual, but the honesty landed hard.
“Alright then,” Y/N said, trying to mask a smile. “What would you plan for a first date?”
“I’d teach you to make a few proper drinks,” Liam said. “The fun ones. The ones that make you look like you know what you’re doing. Maybe we throw in a bit of flair. Depends how coordinated you are.”
Y/N let out a short laugh. “Are you saying I might drop a shaker on the first date?”
“I’d catch it,” Liam replied, deadpan.
Y/N blinked, then chuckled. Damn. That was smooth.
“If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?”
Liam thought for a second, then answered, “New Orleans. The culture’s got this energy I’d love to experience. It’s loud in the right ways. Plus, the music and food? Unreal. Might not be a Grand Prix weekend, but I reckon it’s got its own kind of speed.”
The distant fountain gurgled gently, but Y/N barely registered it. He was too focused on the way Liam’s tone shifted with each sentence, easygoing but sharp. Like he was always half a step ahead but never felt the need to prove it.
“Before I head in, I’ve got something for you,” Liam said, reaching behind him.
Y/N raised an eyebrow as Liam handed over... a fire blanket. Decorated. Not garish, just... personalized.
“Is this a fire blanket?”
“Well, yeah,” Liam replied with a subtle grin. “Bit more stylish than the ones we use on the job, though. You never know what kind of chaos could break out in a house full of strangers and cameras. And hey, if I can’t be there to put out the flames, least I can do is keep you warm.”
Y/N ran his fingers over the fabric, smiling despite himself. It was absurd. Thoughtful. Completely unexpected.
And somehow... kind of perfect.
(cut to Y/N’s interview)
“Okay, so... Liam. He’s young, but wow, he came in with this mix of confidence and sincerity that kind of caught me off guard. I mean, did you see that smile? I felt like I was in the first five minutes of a rom-com and he was the guy with the golden retriever energy. I didn’t expect a firefighter/bartender from New Zealand to be this charming. And that heat blanket thing? It should’ve been cheesy, and maybe it was, but it worked. I liked it. I like him. There’s something really refreshing about Liam. He didn’t try too hard to impress me with big stories or bravado. He just... showed up. Open, honest. Kind of felt like sitting across from someone who’s already decided you’re worth knowing. That’s rare. I do worry about the age difference a bit, I mean, it isn’t huge, but it’s something. He seems grounded, though. More than I expected. There’s definitely something there. We’ll see.”
(cut to Liam’s interview)
“Man, that went better than I expected. Like, I’ve seen Y/N on TV and stuff and always thought, there’s no way someone like him even notices someone like me. But he looked at me like… really looked, you know? And yeah, I brought a fire blanket. Because I’m a dork. But it felt like… I dunno, the right mix of stupid and sweet. And he smiled. Proper smiled. That’s something I’ll be thinking about tonight. I knew coming in that I was close to the youngest. I thought that would be a disadvantage. Still might be. But if I can make him laugh, make him feel comfortable, then maybe that’s enough for now. I’m not trying to be flashy or the most mysterious or whatever. I just want to be real with him. If that’s what he’s looking for… maybe I’ve got a shot.”

Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad Activity Report
Part 4
6/27 (Sat) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
It seems like I've worried everyone. I'm grateful, but there's no need to worry. As a senior, I can't show any shame. Well, that's enough about that topic.
More than that, it seems that the number of Apathy Syndrome cases is increasing again. This time there were many cases where apparently a pair of a man and a woman became Lost at the same time. Maybe it has something to do with the characteristics of the next large Shadow...
Well, it's best not to jump to conclusions.
We'll find out when the next full moon comes. Oh, and I heard a rumor at school that's bothering me. Apparently, something called a "revenge request website" is becoming a hot topic.
It's the sort of urban legend that says that if you post something on the site, someone will take revenge for you...
Sorry, I can't really explain why this story is bothering me. I think it would be more persuasive if someone with a keen sense like Takeba explained it. If I find out anything else, I'll let you know.
6/28 (Sun) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hello, I'm Junpei.
The two seniors are out again today, so we'll be taking a break from fighting in Tartarus.
Yukari-chan's sharp intuition, you know... Well, it certainly seems like there are times when it seems like she has some weird intuition. The moment I started talking about Yuka-tan, someone asked me from behind, "Junpei, did you say something?"
I wish I could have the keen intuition to sense Yukari's approach, like Lucia from Fuuka.
Whenever I say something strange in a report, it always comes back the next day...Maybe this is also a woman's intuition?
Hmm, Yuka-tan is truly formidable...
6/29 (Mon) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Well, this is Takeba.
Well... there's a full moon in just a week. I won't be able to do it every day, but I've been gaining strength in Tartarus and I feel like I've made progress. But, as expected, the lack of information beforehand is a problem. All we know is that it's a full moon, and we can't decide on a strategy. If anyone knows anything, please let me know as much as you can. This was Takeba.
6/30 (Tue) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
This is Kirijo.
The day has already changed, and it's already July 1st. There's only one week until the full moon. I'm glad to see that everyone is preparing.
Takeba-san...Your opinion is valid, but I don't have any more information about the shadows right now.
I'm really sorry. I'll try my best to find out as much as I can in the future.
For now, I'll just state the characteristics of the next large Shadow that is currently known. If we go in order, the Arcana is Hierophant, the Pope. As far as I can deduce from the enemies that belong to this Arcana among the normal ahadows that appear in Tartarus, there is a high possibility that they will be good at magic attacks, especially geo-type attacks. If this is of any help, please use it to prepare for battle.
...I'm really sorry.
I'm taking care of you because I'm powerless. But, I'll ask you again. I'm counting on you guys.
7/1 (Wed) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hi, Junpei here. Oh man, I'm so fed up with you, Kirijo-senpai. It's okay, you don't have to take it so seriously. Lack of information is fine! Your opponent won't lack any! Besides, we've been on a winning streak lately, so isn't that just a good handicap?
As long as you always stay relaxed and enjoy the tension, it's all okay! ...or so I heard.
Oh, no, listen to that instead! Junpei's Belive It Or Don't Continued! Well, it was the middle of the night last night, and I heard some voices. There's a room next to mine, one of which is empty and the other one is occupied, and from there... I heard some kind of mumbling... I heard some kind of voice. It really freaked me out. So, I mustered up all my courage and put my ear to the wall. And then...
It was just the leader talking in his sleep. Anyway, I'm not getting enough sleep today. Wow.
7/2 (Thu) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi. Ummm... Junpei-kun? I have a message for you from Yukari-chan, so... please don't get mad, okay?
... aren't you stupid?
One more thing... I mean, aren't you stupid? I-I did tell her. Phew, I'm not cut out for this sort of thing...
And from me, to Kirijo-senpai. Ummm, I can't really explain it well, but I think I'm probably fighting for myself. Please don't take it all on yourself.
That sounds a bit... arrogant. Sorry. I'll talk to you again after I've gathered my thoughts.
7/3 (Fri) - Reporter: Shuji Ikutsuki
It's Ikutsuki. ...Well, it's been a while since I've heard everyone's voices, and somehow there's a subtle discord. Well, even though we know the cycle of the large Shadows, there are still at least eight left, so I understand that you're feeling anxious about a lot of things.
However, in times of crisis like this, I want all the members to come together as one and face the difficulties. Isn't that what it means to be human? Right?
I'm not saying that if you believe, your wishes will come true, but it's your beliefs that give you strength when it really counts. I want you to think again about the meaning of your fighting. Because it's your beliefs... Oh, I'll stop here for today. It was a good talk.
7/4 (Sat) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Ikutsuki-san...
I don't mind if you like puns. But if you're going to say it, then say it, and if you're not going to say it, then don't. It bothers me if you get stopped midway.
But what's the point of fighting...?
In my case, I don't have any grudge against shadows themselves. I simply hunt them down because they are a threat to people's peace.
I just don't like doing nothing when there's someone I could be helping in front of me. That's why I wanted power. If this power isn't enough, I'll keep improving myself until I get the power I need.
7/5 (Sun) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Hi, this is Takeba.
If I think back, maybe I said something weird? Hmm, if I take it that far, I might feel a little responsible.
For now, let's do as Sanada-senpai said and prepare for the next Shadow! Even I know that this is the most important thing. Anyway, we have no choice but to do it.
Actually, yesterday morning, I bumped into the leader on my way to school and we talked for a bit. He's usually a bit unsociable, but when I asked him, he answered me. Then I felt a little better. I realized that it's important to communicate your thoughts and receive them.
Anyway, the full moon tomorrow is the fifth large Shadow battle. The enemy Arcana is the Hierophant. Let's do our best!
7/6 (Mon) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
This is Kirijo.
Tomorrow is finally the full moon. It seems that many people, including me, are sensitive, but please concentrate and defeat the shadows.
...Yes. I don't know if it will help ease your tension, but let me share a little trivia.
It's about how we call the moon. The "full moon" during which large Shadows appear is an astronomical name that is determined based on the ecliptic coordinates of the celestial body. A full moon occurs when the difference in ecliptic longitude with the sun is 180 degrees. And the name "15th night" that you often hear is based on the date of the lunar calendar. In this case, even if the moon is not a perfect circle, the moon on the 15th is called the 15th night. And when it comes to the "age of the moon," it is calculated based on how many days have passed since the moment of the new moon.
According to this, tomorrow will be a full moon, the moon will be 14.8 days old, and the 15th night. On the 8th of last month, the moon was full, the moon was 15.1 days old, and the 16th night. How about that? It's pretty interesting, isn't it?
7/7 (Tue) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
Today was my first time... well, to be precise I took part in a battle in June, but this battle was the first time I was able to join everyone from the start of the operation.
What can I say... in many ways, it was a valuable experience...
Today's location was on Shirakawa Street, east of Iwatodai... Ah, that's right. To borrow the words of the Chairman, it was an amusement hotel... Ugh, that's not a good place to report. It was a love hotel... Anyway, I sensed the presence of a large Shadow there. I asked everyone to head there. However, it seems that the enemy had a plan this time, and after defeating the first Hierophant type, we made the blunder of allowing the Lovers Arcana Shadow to attack us mentally... In the end, everyone was safe thanks to the leader's efforts, and Sanada-senpai said, "In the end, we figured out the enemy's position, so that was good," but if we think about what might have happened... we can't be at ease just because everything turned out okay. Also, I didn't really understand the details of the enemy's mental attack... but it seems that Yukari-chan and Kirijo-senpai were a little mentally damaged, so I'm worried. I've said this many times before, but don't try to handle everything on your own, feel free to consult me about anything.
By the way... when the mission was over, Yukari-chan and Kirijo-senpai smelled nice of shampoo. Is that related to anything?
7/8 (Wed) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Yamagishi, there are some things you really don't want people to know. Leave them alone.
Well, Yamagishi made that kind of report yesterday, but I think she got the best possible results. She was completely caught in a trap set by the enemy Shadow, but managed to escape it brilliantly.
Well, it's great that you have the determination to reflect on the problems and make improvements. I'll keep it up for the next operation. And Leader. You probably don't come to the strategy room often, and I don't know if you've heard this report, but you did a great job this time too. Get some rest.
...I know I'm saying this right after I've given you words of appreciation, but the final exams are less than a week away. You may not be properly prepared for the fight against the shadows, but please do your best. Good luck, Junpei!
7/9 (Thu) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hey, it's Junpei.
Ah, that's right. Final exams start next Tuesday, don't you think?
Well, I know studying is useless, so I'll just do my best... See you then...
7/10 (Fri) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
It's Kirijo... What's wrong, Iori?... I heard from Akihiko that you've been holed up in your room since returning to the dorms today. If you're not feeling well, there's a good hospital run by Kirijo. I'll introduce you to it, so go there early. I'm sure you've had a lot going on. I won't pry into your affairs, so don't keep your worries to yourself. Above all, there are only four days left until the final exam. I'm sure you have a lot to think about, but what we should be focusing on right now is the final exam material, not shadow fighting. I think I told you this before, but I'm thinking of a little reward for the top performers. Everyone, do your best and don't forget your duties as a student.
7/11 (Sat) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
Today was a real cacophony... Actually, Yukari had asked me to look into the accident from 10 years ago, and I had a premonition that something like today would happen.
Maybe because I was looking at it from a third-person perspective, I feel like I understand both Kirijo-senpai's feelings of not being able to tell the truth, and Yukari's feelings of blaming her. And as for my own feelings...I told Kirijo-senpai directly, I'm happy that I'm needed. I don't have a reason to fight, but I do have a reason for wanting to be here. Isn't that the same for everyone? Is that not okay?...It'll be okay, right?
7/12 (Sun) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
I'm a little proud that I've been talking for two days in a row, as if I've got all this equipment all to myself.
Today, everyone seems to be studying in their rooms. Sanada-senpai was out all day, but he came back after dark and it seems like he's also holed up in his room.
When will everyone be able to hear my voice? Maybe not until after the exams are over?
I've thought about it a lot, but I don't think anyone is to blame... We are all just doing our best to do what we can, but it's sad to see them separated like this.
Each person has something that only they can do. There are times and places when their power is needed. This is the case now, when there are so many people suffering from Apathy Syndrome, and in the case of SEES, and in the case of Personas.
Isn’t that what power is?
...I believe that everyone will understand without me having to say it. For now, let's do our best to study for the exam.
I have some research to do, so I'll just mess around with my device for a bit before getting back to studying. Well, good night...
7/13 (Mon) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Well, it's Takeba. Oh, exams start tomorrow. I thought I'd take a break and write up my activities for the first time in a while.
Ha. Seriously, after hearing that message from Fuuka, I can't not say anything at all, Fuuka is surprisingly cunning.
First of all, I'd like to say something about how everyone has been quick to avoid touching the sore spot and has not come to ask, yet have a strong aura of wanting to know what's going on.
I talked to the leader a bit about it, but I apologized to Kirijo-senpai for what happened the other day. Sorry for saying too much. There are still some parts I'm not entirely convinced of, but then there are people close to me who are suffering from Apathy Syndrome, and if I fight the shadows, I might be able to cure that, so I can't just sit back and watch. Yeah. That's right.
Oh, and thank you Chairman for your suggestion to go to Yakushima. I'm looking forward to it. Well, if you don't tell me a pun as a thank you, I'll be sure to not give you a cold shoulder just this once.
And then... oh, that's right. That idiot Junpei Iori is always complaining about swimsuits. He should be the only one without Yakushima, so I hope he gets a part-time job at the swimsuit section of a department store. This was Takeba.
7/14 (Tue) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Today is the first day of the final exams. Thanks to the Chairman's timely suggestion, the atmosphere in the dorm seems to have improved a little. Of course, there is still that tense atmosphere that is unique to exam periods, but this tension is not unpleasant.
To be honest, it's painful to see a child being lured in by sweets to get in a good mood, but that's just how it is. I guess that's actually what we made such a fuss about.
Come to think of it, this was the first time we'd had such a big fight since the current second-year students moved into the dorms... I hope this is a rite of passage, and if we can get through it, we'll be able to build a new relationship.
Also, apart from the Mitsuru incident, Junpei seems to have been annoyed for some reason, but are you okay?
Well, I'm sure you're overwhelmed with your exams right now, so I hope you can calm down. ...I'm probably not the one to say this here, Junpei. I don't know what happened during the exams, but I think you should stop yelling things like "Kabara! Kabara! Yakushima!" on the main streets.
7/15 (Wed) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Sanada-san, don't you know the expression "samurai compassion"? Well, I don't want to say it.
Well, the problem with the insurance in Edogawa was so confusing that I exploded with anger on the way home from school. As for my case, I can see the answer in my mind, so it's okay. Thank you.
7/16 (Thu) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
Today was the third day of the exam. I was surprised to see that the history question that the teacher said "will be on the exam" during class actually came up. The teachers at Gekkoukan are surprisingly kind, aren't they?
The correct answer is that the reason the foreigners on the Black Ships were afraid of topknots was because they thought they would be attacked by guns.
This time, we had a fight with a large Shadow just before the exam, so Yukari, Junpei, and the leader didn't seem to be very prepared, and the second-years are struggling. But when they think about the ocean waiting for them after the exams, they feel a little better. Yakushima, huh... I bet the water is beautiful.
7/17 (Fri) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Uh, I'm Takeba. I just heard yesterday's report, and I thought the answer to that question was... a projectile, is that correct? Seriously? Wow, I should have listened to the lecture properly!
I chose the second one, "they thought it was a black fish cake." Because in the past, Westerners hated fish! Ugh, I failed!
Ugh, to be honest, I'm not that confident about today's physics lesson. I worked hard to memorize the formulas and laws, but I was wondering who discovered the principle behind contact lenses, which is a bit of trivia! I chose Da Vinci for now, but... God!
7/18 (Sat) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
This is Kirijo.
Finally, the final exams, which seemed long but were short, are over. I'll never forget the look of relief on everyone's faces when we returned to the dorms.
The day after tomorrow, our trip to Yakushima starts again, so I really wanted to go to Tartarus today, but I guess I wasn't in the mood for it. Well, I'll take my time to get ready.
Now, it's been a while since I last reported on the activities, but according to the Chairman, a boy named Ken Amada will be moving into the dorms during the summer vacation. He seems to have the potential for it, but... Apart from what Takeba pointed out the other day, it is not permitted to involve a boy from the elementary school in a fight. His Persona ability has not been confirmed, and even if he does have the ability and is willing to fight, it will be a while before he actually joins SEES.
Oh, and because of that, while Amada is in the dorms, no talk of shadows is allowed in front of him. Please be careful.
7/19 (Sun) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hiya! The southern islands are calling me! This is Junpei Iori!
Goodbye to the tense atmosphere we've had for a while! And hello to the new tropical sea breeze! Welcome to YAKUSHIMA!
Hello, is this Okinawa?
Wow, I've already finished preparing for my trip, and all that's left is to wait for the day to dawn! I know we're leaving early in the morning, but I can't sleep even at this time. Am I a child?
I just wandered around the dorms, and of course everyone was fast asleep. If the door was unlocked, I thought I'd sneakily check everyone's belongings, but as expected, the security was strong. Hmm, what a shame.
Even if I could check everyone's belongings, it wouldn't be much fun to look inside Sanada-san's or the leader's bags. Of course it's swimsuits!
Ah, I wonder what kind of swimsuits everyone is wearing.
Based on my image, first of all, Yukari-chan is wearing a swimsuit for competitive swimming or something sporty-looking? However, she doesn't seem all that excited this time, so I guess we can't expect anything sexy or anything like that. Well, I'm not expecting much.
7/22 (Wed) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Fuuka... Hmm, that's difficult. A quiet girl like that can unexpectedly wear a shocking swimsuit. By the way, with a flat body type, a bikini might actually make her look more stylish, so let's hope a little. Kirijo-senpai! Of course it's a bikini! It can't be anything else! The color is black! Oh, and a queen-style one-piece with a plunging chest and back... wow, I can't decide!
7/20 (Mon) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
Ah, ah. ...Is it recording?
Okay. ...It's Kirijo.
Starting tonight, I'll be living on Yakushima. I probably won't be doing anything as part of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, but I brought some spare backup equipment just in case. I'll also record it as usual. Where should I start... Too many things happened at once today. I'm a bit confused too.
Yes, I was able to meet Father for the first time in a long time. I was relieved to see that he looks as healthy as ever. Everyone in SEES seemed surprised by Father's eyepatch, but that was Father's way of making amends. When dealing with bigwigs in the political and financial world, if he looks like that, he will be looked down upon as a "man who puts up a false front." He could have just gotten a prosthetic eye, but Father still doesn't take off the eyepatch so that he won't forget the accident.
By the way, Iori and the others were surprised by the maids too, but are they really that rare? Recently, Iori and the others have been featured on TV and in magazines, so I thought it was completely commonplace...
Anyway, at Iori's insistence, we headed to the beach as soon as we arrived. Hehe, Iori, I heard your report yesterday. Sorry about the bikini, but the color didn't live up to your expectations. It's true that there are always a lot of black clothes in the dorm, but that's because of my love of motorcycles. There are a lot of leather products, so naturally there's a lot of black. It's not that I particularly like black. Well, you'll have to make do with that swimsuit for the duration of this trip.
I guess there's no way I won't mention this. Father is amazing after all. It seems he knew everything I was doing. The truth about the experiment ten years ago that I didn't know, or rather, that I had avoided because I was afraid of finding out the truth. In fact, I had asked Yamagishi to try to break into Kirijo's mainframe, and he knew about that too.
Father...told me everything. Everything that happened ten years ago. And about the unexpected connection between Takeba and Kirijo...
I had no idea why Takeba was so passionate about the truth. Yukari's father, Eiichiro Takeba. He was the chief researcher at the time.
I'm sure she believed him... If the situation was reversed, I would do the same. I would believe in Father's innocence and seek out the truth. But what if that were to be betrayed...
No, there's no point in talking hypothetically. Only Takeba knows what's in Takeba's heart. I'm sure she wouldn't want me to sympathize with her so easily.
Takeba, believe me...I really didn't know about your father. ...What should I do? I don't have the words to say...
7/21 (Tue) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Hehe, I found the equipment.
Uh, it's Takeba.
...This has sound, right?
Geez, Kirijo-senpai, you're here to relax, so isn't it no good bringing something like this.
Uh (cough). I seem to be overthinking it, but I'm fine.
I mean, sorry about yesterday.
I didn't say it, but after talking with the leader who came to call me, I've made up my mind, too, yes!
Anyway, I still think I'll continue to believe. In that video, Dad himself said it was his fault, but if that's the only document left from back then, there's no way to prove that it's true, right?
So, I'll try to struggle a bit.
Also, either way, the situation won't change that we need to defeat the Shadows. I'll continue to fight as usual.
...I'm so embarrassed. I wonder if I should delete this report.
Oh, by the way, changing the subject, that Aigis girl? Robot? Isn't she amazing! I never imagined a robot that can summon Personas. This time she really is a "fighting force" in the literal sense. But why is she a girl? A girl who is a weapon seems a little cute, doesn't she?
Ah, is that voice Junpei? Seriously, there's no need to go out of your way to call him. That guy swims around all day, so why does he have so much energy? I guess I'll just have to go along with it. This was Takeba.
When did Mitsuru bring all this equipment? Well, I guess I'll use it too.
Well, tomorrow is finally the day we return to Iwatodai. Today, the last day, I think we were able to really relax.
For Takeba, she had to face the harsh reality and it wasn't really a vacation... But it seems like she's getting over it well. That's right... I won't say anything unnecessary. When we get back, let's get along as friends again. Once again, nice to meet you.
However, after all that, the biggest surprise was Aigis. As far as I know, that robot exceeds the most advanced technology today. And to think that it was made 10 years ago... Anyway, she's a new member of our team. Let's hope she does well.
Now it's time to settle the pick-up contest... Ah, no. That's not it. Forget it.
7/23 (Thu) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
This is Yamagishi now.
Welcome home everyone.
This is my first time living in a dormitory, but it already feels like home. Having a place to go back to, a place you want to return to... I'm a little happy.
Everyone is tired today, so we took a break from conquering Tartarus. I was tired too, but talking to Aigis kept me awake... and I ended up staying up late.
Aigis is really amazing. I'm a little good with machines, but I can't believe that this technology has not been known until now.
They say cutting-edge technology is created on the battlefield, but I can't help but think how difficult the battle against shadows was 10 years ago.
Ah, but Aigis herself seems more like a girl with a bit of a natural air about her than a weapon. How did you incorporate a mind into a robot? Mr. Ikutsuki also said that the core part is a black box and that he cannot touch it.
It's also strange that Aigis seems to know the leader. It means that he's having trouble recognizing someone who looks similar to him...
It's no good to take your friends' privacy so seriously, right? First of all, you have to think about how everyone and Aigis can get along.
Oh, that's right. Aigis's way of speaking is interesting, isn't it? It's not exactly military-like, but it's more like an honorific that she learned by mistake. When we swam together in Yakushima, she pointed at my swimsuit and said,
"I am concerned about the armor of that underwater weapon, but is it correct to understand that the emphasis is on maneuverability? If possible, I would like to try modifying it for underwater combat." This is the first time I've seen a robot that wants to wear a swimsuit.
Aigis, it's nice to meet you.
7/24 (Fri) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hi, Junpei here. What's up? You brought this report machine to Yakushima? That's fishy, Kirijo-senpai! If I'd known, I could have brought you Junpei Iori's swimsuit watching hour.
Well... well, I can't run away, so I'll tell you... today is the day of the test results.
7/25 (Sat) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Uh, this is Takeba.
As of today, we have a new member...or rather, he's not in SEES, he just lives in the same dorm, but a new member has arrived. As the Chairman said before, Amada-kun is moving into the dorm.
...I'm a little, no, I'm really worried, but I hope that Amada-kun won't get caught up in a fight or something like that.
The Chairman seems to be pretty matter-of-fact about it, and seems to be like, "If you can fight, let's have you participate."
I feel like I understand my senior a little bit, so I believe that she has no intention of involving Amada-kun. But even so, you still say "at this point," right? Oh, no, I'm not complaining, I know that you're in a position where you have to say that, and that's what you're saying because you yourself are thinking about it. As the head of SEES, you have to think about all the possibilities.
Yes, it’s just a possibility.
So, for now, please take this as my personal opinion as Yukari Takeba. I am against letting Amada fight. Unless Amada himself has a very good reason to fight, I am against it.
Please remember that.
7/26 (Sun) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hello, it's Junpei!
Hehehe, having a great summer!
But I'm always like this. I have an innocent heart that is happy to take a day off!
That's the image I want as a healthy high school boy! So, summer vacation starts today. Ah, the long and painful midterms, the long and painful final exams, the occasional but painful quizzes, the painful first semester, Wow! Well, anyway, summer vacation starts today. Let's have fun starting tomorrow!
…Huh. Well, I know it's stupid to make a fuss by myself, even if I say so myself.
However, I just couldn't help but make a fuss today...
Ai-chan did a simulation of what would happen if the number of Lost continued to increase, in other words, if we don't do our jobs properly... but the results were worse than I expected, and I'm feeling depressed.
It feels like a huge responsibility.
7/27 (Mon) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Uh, this is Takeba.
What's up, Junpei? You've given it some thought. Yes, that's right, it's a big responsibility. Well, keep that in mind and work hard. Just don't do stupid things.
8/3 (Mon) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Come to think of it, I didn't see the leader today, but he's doing intensive training for the sports club. He'll do his best, too. Maybe I should go to the archery club's voluntary training too...
7/28 (Tue) - Reporter: Aigis
Hello, this is Aigis.
I completely understand the system for this activity report. Mitsuru-san, there is no need to look at me with such a worried expression. Even though I look like this, I am good with machines. ...Would you be surprised if I was weak with machines? I don't know why you have such an impression, but in any case, it will be fine. I am completely safe.
However...though I understand the system, but what should I talk about?
Among the various things that happened that day, is there anything that you want to tell everyone or that you feel you need to teach them...?
Well, the one thing that I think needs to be reported in the sense that it is different from usual is the physiological changes that occurred in Sanada-san when he confronted Amada-san.
The pulse rate becomes unstable, there are changes in the secretion of adrenaline and other brain substances, and the parasympathetic nervous system seems to be somewhat inhibited...huh?
Even if you know that, is it better not to say anything?
Is that...consideration...?
Because the boundary conditions are unclear, I cannot reach a complete understanding, but I will try.
7/29 (Wed) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
I'm a little tired today. Ah, but how can I put it, it's a pleasant tiredness?
Anyway, I'll give you a quick report on what happened tonight. A while after entering the Dark Hour, my Lucia picked up a Shadow's signal near Naganari Shrine. It was an irregular Shadow that appeared in places other than Tartarus, as I had heard. I asked Sanada-senpai to rush to the scene, and then we all rushed over to support him... Whew. I'm still excited. To my surprise, Koro-chan was there, and he activated his Persona ability and defeated the Shadow!
Koro-chan always guarded his master's place. That alone was impressive, but I never imagined he was a Persona User...
Oh, to continue. Koro-chan was pretty badly injured, but he's currently in the veterinary hospital, apparently resting. I was surprised to see so much blood, but I guess Kirijo-senpai's first aid was good. Anyway, Koro-chan is safe. ...That's a relief.
Oh, and there was one more thing that surprised me. Aigis can understand dog language! You said that it's a means of communication other than words...like gestures? Isn't that right? I'd like to ask her more about that next time.
7/30 (Thu) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Yes, the full moon is coming up soon, but is everyone prepared? We only have one week left to prepare. We don't have much time, so let's get pumped. Is that okay?
By the way, Aigis said the day before yesterday...do you think I look different in front of Amada? Yes...maybe.
Junpei says that I'm more mature and cocky than him, and Amada himself doesn't seem to want to be treated like a child, but I think that I couldn't be more childlike.
His gaze is so straight and so pure that it hurts...I wonder if I'm qualified to return his gaze head-on.
Everyone is pure when they're children. But when it comes to our age, I somehow feel that we can't get by on pureness alone. But I'm not ready to live a cunning life either. I guess that half-heartedness makes him feel inferior to innocent children... Well, I would never say that I want to become an adult who is used to the dirty things that most people see. But... Aigis has a keen eye. Your consideration for human relationships may be greater than that of our leader or Junpei. Aigis, are you really a robot? There must be a small person inside you... right? That's even more frightening to imagine.
7/31 (Fri) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
It's Kirijo.
I've been busy with chores for a while, but I think this is the first time I've reported since Yakushima. Hehe... I'm being lazy, which is unbecoming of a club president.
I'm late in replying, but I understand Takeba's opinion about Amada. To be honest, I'm also against letting a child like that take part in the battle.
I myself have been on the front lines of the battle against shadows since I was a child. I just can't imagine that that contributed to my healthy development. I know I'm boasting, but I'd like to be praised for not becoming too distorted.
Now, as for the report, there's nothing in particular...Oh, that's right. The vet contacted me regularly and said that Koromaru is progressing well. It seems Yamagishi and the leader were worried about him. I'll just report it here.
It's almost time for the full moon. Everyone, make sure you're prepared.
8/1 (Sat) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hey, it's Junpei!
Only 5 more days until the full moon! I'm really fired up this time! I was watching Koromaru and I was moping around until the other day, which is pathetic. I can't lose, can I?
By the way, Leader, the actual game is tomorrow, right? I can't go to cheer you on, but do your best!
8/2 (Sun) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
I have some good news for you today. The leader won a top prize in the National High School Myoo Cup, a tournament for sports clubs!
Even though it was summer vacation, it was worth it to train hard every day. Congratulations.
...That said, the person in question was still like, "I don't really care." Ah, but recently I've started to understand the subtle changes in his expression. Today he looked really happy.
I'm embarrassed to say this so formally, but I feel like the leader always helps me, from the first time he rescued me from Tartarus to when I fell into an enemy trap during last month's operation. It might be strange considering we're the same age, but I think the closest feeling we have is one of "respect."
I'd like to do my best to be of some help to him in the future. Junpei said he won't lose to Koro-chan, but I have to make sure I don't lose to everyone else either.
For now, I'm doing image training for the next battle. What to do if the enemy loses their presence, how to lead them if I detect multiple enemies at the same time, etc. If you have any opinions, please feel free to tell me.
Well, this is Takeba. Anyway, congratulations on winning, leader! You did a great job. The Myo-o Cup is a pretty high level, isn't it? If you keep going like this, I think you can make it to the national tournament. Will you be popular in the second semester? Ah, aside from that, I'd rather report something like this: "I happened to see this kind of person'' on TV, but I did see a strange person.
8/4 (Tue) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
He was at a takoyaki shop in Saitodai Shopping Arcade, stuffing takoyaki into his mouth with incredible force. He had an athletic look, and I'd say he could be considered good-looking, but his face as he devoured it... It's what's inside that counts. This was Takeba.
Hi...Junpei...it's hot.
It has been really hot since the afternoon, but the night was a tropical one just as expected! I wasn't expecting anything like that. I wish it would go against our expectations and snow!
Ugh, the heat is making my brain overheat, seriously.

A while ago I put in a two weeks notice for my job and then ended up staying once a week and to cover for vacations
I haven’t been doing well physically lately and my manager is on vacation for 2 weeks. I’ve been trying to cover but doing full time for 2 or so weeks is just not very feasible for me right now
So I went in a couple days. My operations manager pretty much told me I could set my schedule and come in 6 hours a day or whatever going forward
But honestly I am using all my spoons when I go to work on working. I don’t have the energy for anything else. It’s embarrassing for me to be inconsistent. I don’t want all my coworkers thinking I’m just a slacker or anything. I was informed no one is judging and they wanted to know more about how it feels etc
They are actually being insanely nice. They do underpay me but the understanding and accommodations are above and beyond really. I’m so grateful. I desperately want to take advantage of this deal but I fear I keep trying to make something work for me that just isn’t.
I cannot commit to a set schedule with my illnesses. It’s not just the MS anymore which I was diagnosed with nearly 12 years ago. It’s also super painful endometriosis, chronic Lyme, a bladder disease called interstitial cystitis, a narrowing spine and multiple bulging discs, arthritis, etc.
I know I appear to be very put together and adorable and perfect ☺️ haha but I’m actually in pain 24/7 and struggling very much behind closed doors. I put on a brave face all the time.
I can’t pretend anymore to not be suffering. I have tues, wed, thurs and Monday and Tuesday next week to get through. I guess I kind of want advice. Should I try my hardest to get through these days? Then send the email as he requested and fully resign with an explanation? Or just simply let them know I need to bow out due to my health at this time regardless of whether they need someone to fill in right now?
He said he would keep me in the books in case my health is ever better or my situation changes and I want to come back. It makes me so happy to feel like a valuable part of their team. That’s what he told me too. I’m very good at my job and I’m needed etc I’m a good asset. It made me feel proud of myself. I wish my circumstances were different
I just think now is the time to focus on fully caring for my mother the way she needs and to make sure that the payment for caring for her through Medicaid finally goes through. Might put that under my bf and apply for disability for myself. Then know how much I can make outside of disability with my side hustles. Time to make sure my self care is on point by keeping apts, staying on top of med refills, starting a new ms disease modifying therapy even if I don’t want to. Making sure I get my bloodwork done, going to physical therapy, getting stronger, moving my body more. And it’s time to work on my other endeavors I fully believe I’m capable of if I can manage things well.
I booked my first market where I’m going to sell my baked goods in early May! My lil cottage bakery business name is on the flyer and everything. I want to do more markets. I wanna write more fiction, make videos on TikTok singing and baking and everything. If I can get to 10,000 followers I can make money partnering with companies.
I was making a little sample singing video just now and I paused it to hear it. I paused it exactly on 2:22 which is an angel number! It feels like the universe has been telling me it’s ok to let this job go and go forth with my passions. It’s just so scary. I wish I could handle all of it.
I of course need the guaranteed money a stable job gives me. I also don’t want to leave anyone hanging especially since I care about these people. I hope they understand as they say they do. Any advice would be awesome.
Dealing with work and chronic illnesses is honestly one of the most traumatic things with this disease for me. It gives me such anxiety. I’ve realized lately I have not accepted my disabilities. I keep trying to live as though I have none and am frustrated when I’m not capable in any way.
I know I’m capable of many things. Shit I may even want to be in the para Olympics someday. But I can’t do all of it. I can’t manage working a 9-5 and handling everything else on my plate. I know my parents want me to keep working because they want that peace of mind. I understand that. I want to make them proud. I hope I can find a different way to do that.
I’m too talented to not be able to make money from my talents. I can do this. I’m putting it out into the universe. I believe in myself. I know I am enough though even if all I can do is make it through the day. It’s just hard sometimes

Schanica is getting to Marie level annoyance, and that isn't a good thing.
First, let me back up to yesterday.
No truck and I had a 7a to 3p shift.
AJ told me to tag rods (there were 6) then sort alarms. I was okay with those tasks.
I got four rods done and he told me to stop because Kamala and I were being "given" to Marcella (per Schancia's orders, who was off, as she is EVERY Friday).
I made my thoughts on that very clear to AJ, who knows that I DISLIKE 'helping' on the floor.
Kamala came in and we trekked to the men's stockroom on the second floor (which we redid two or is it three times?) Yep, it was a hot mess again, but didn't need anything except a good sweep. AJ told us to do that.
Long story short, after the stockroom, we were on the floor in Men's Active, sizing merch on the fixtures. Yep, I was NOT happy.
Flash forward to this morning.
Schanica texts me, she wanted me to call her "when I get a second".
It seems that AJ gave her "feedback" regarding my displeasure with yesterday. As if I haven't mentioned a number of times in the two plus years that I've been back, THAT I DON'T LIKE WORKING AROUND CUSTOMERS.
Actual footage of Schanica when AJ tells her that I was complaining about working on the floor:
Tumblr media
As if AJ wasn't bitching about all the shit she was making him do, but nobody is running to Schanica to tell her THAT.
She wanted to know if I just wanted to work truck days next week. We only have TWO trucks (Tues and Thurs) and she already have me scheduled 7-3 on Mon and Wed.
I told her, I was fine just working the two days. She took off the other shifts.
The bin of unsorted alarms is half full, but why bring me in to do that?
A couple of hours ago, she sent the above long ass text.
I cut off the beginning of it.
Once again she is telling 'us' to time in and out per our schedule even though she KNOWS who isn't. But rather than directly talk to them, she tells the entire team the same bullshit.
Then she talks about being in dress code because "we will be working on the selling floor". Yep
My real disgust is with the nonsense in the screenshot.
Again, WE ARE ALLOWED TO USE 'UNAVAILABLE DAYS' AND SCHEDULE OUR OWN DAYS OFF BUT WE HAVE TO WRITE IT ON A CALENDER that she never looks at.
If your request falls on a day we don't have trailers I will grant your request. IF we have trailers unfortunately I have to do the schedule based on the needs of the business.
I read that as, if we request a truck day off, she will insist we come in. Or is that just me?
Mary has EVERY Thursday off (usually TRUCK DAYS) because she takes medicine to make her shit on Wednesday night, and it takes 12 hours to work. (I kid you not, she tells everyone this). That's ok
Sophie is usually off one or two TRUCK DAYS. That's ok.
But god forbid I want a TRUCK DAY off, she's going to give me a hard time?
It's not about getting PAID for a day off, it's about GETTING THE DAY OFF.
I left Macy's once, I'll leave again. And this time, I might not fight to return.

WeightWatchers files for bankruptcy
By Jordan Valinsky, CNN
Updated: 7:16 PM EDT, Tue May 6, 2025
Source: CNN
WeightWatchers, the 62-year-old program that revolutionized dieting for millions of people around the world, has filed for bankruptcy.
The company announced Tuesday it has entered Chapter 11, which “will bolster its financial position, increase investment flexibility in its strategic growth initiatives, and better serve its millions of members around the world.”
The company, now known as WW International, has struggled with about $1.5 billion in debt and has failed to keep pace with more convenient weight loss options, including GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic, over counting points and calories.
During the bankruptcy process, its massive amount of debt will be eliminated, and it expects to emerge in about 40 days as a publicly traded company. Operations for its members will continue as normal, it said.
“The decisive actions we’re taking today, with the overwhelming support of our lenders and noteholders, will give us the flexibility to accelerate innovation, reinvest in our members, and lead with authority in a rapidly evolving weight management landscape,” said CEO Tara Comonte in a release.
WW International has a had rough few years after a turnaround plan from its former CEO, Sima Sistani, failed. She was forced out of her position in September 2024 after a two-and-a-half-year stint.
Sistani bought a telehealth platform that connected patients with doctors who can prescribe weight-loss and diabetes drugs, representing a radical change for a service that made its name for in-person meetings and portion control. But the pivot didn’t work, and the stock has plummeted.
Sistani was replaced by Comonte, a former chief financial officer at fast food chain Shake Shack. Its most recent earnings release in February revealed a 12% decline in members and that its $100 million in interest payments on debt is a “a significant ongoing burden for the company.”
WW took another hit last year when star investor Oprah Winfrey announced she was leaving the company’s board after nearly a decade holding that position and donated all of her stock to a museum.
The former talk show host credited the program for help losing 40 pounds in 2016 but later revealed that she had also used an unnamed weight loss drug to lose more.
WW’s history
The company was founded in 1963 by Jean Nidetch, a self-described “overweight housewife obsessed with cookies” whowas fed up with fad diets and pills.
She began hosting weekly meetings at her home with friends to discuss their difficulties with dieting and exercise. “Compulsive eating is an emotional problem,” Nidetch told Time magazine in 1972, “and we use an emotional approach to its solution.”
Abiding by her philosophy — “It’s choice, not chance, that determines your destiny” —Nidetch lost more than 70 pounds and kept it off.
Part of its success can be attributed to its points system, where one number represents each food and drink’s calories, saturated fat, sugar and protein. The company had 3.3 million subscribers at the end of 2024.
WW’s shares have devolved into a penny stock, a far cry from when it was trading at its peak at around $100 in 2018.

another theory abt the Ned's Cozy Fireplace video
since everyone's been talking abt the video again lately, it reminded me that i had been testing a hypothesis back when the video first came out, and then promptly forgot abt it for the next two months sdklfjdkf anyway! i have since finished testing the hypothesis and am ready to turn it into a full fledged theory! here it is:
i think the length of each cycle (AKA how much time each repetition of all 20 songs takes) translates to a date, usually in june
here's the super simple breakdown:
:CYCLE: :LENGTH: :DATE: Cycle 1 - 1:06:06.333 - Thu, June 6th Cycle 2 - 1:06:09.458 - Sun, June 9th Cycle 3 - 1:06:17.375 - Mon, June 17th Cycle 4 - 1:06:20.083 - Thu, June 20th Cycle 5 - 1:05:56.542 - Fri, May 17th* Cycle 6 - 1:06:07.000 - Fri, June 7th Cycle 7 - 1:06:10.792 - Mon, June 10th Cycle 8 - 1:06:11.167 - Tue, June 11th Cycle 9 - 1:06:13.878 - Thu, June 13th
aaaaaaand if you'd like a more detailed breakdown of how i got those numbers, that'll be under the cut:
so here's what i did:
i downloaded the full 10 hour video and imported it into audacity
i split each cycle into clips starting on the same exact millisecond
i verified that the clips were synced to the bit
i checked the length of each clip
note: i didn't include the intro (the bit before the first CSTY starts), and i counted the end of cycle 9 as when the torches disappeared from the screen (down to the frame)
as you can see, all but one cycle fits the month/day pattern, the exception being cycle 5. however, that one has the video of tyler working on music which starts at exactly 5:17:00, so my guess is that that's why it has an invalid date (to draw our attention to the date within the cycle).
anyway! would love to hear ppl's thoughts on what the significance of those dates is. tour dates maybe? or days dmaorg will update? maybe they're not dates at all, and the timestamps are supposed to be used some other way. no clue! but they do feel like they're supposed to mean something.

Israel is a rogue nation. It should be removed from the United Nations

One rogue nation cannot declare war on the UN itself and continue to get away with it

Over the past year, Israel has launched attacks on multiple countries and occupied territories: the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iran.
Yet countries and territories aside, Israel has also targeted one specific organization with a series of unprecedented rhetorical and violent attacks.
Yes, the United Nations. We have all witnessed Israel, in effect, declare war on the UN.
Consider the record of recent weeks and months:
Israel’s prime minister, while standing on stage at the UN general assembly, denounced the body as “contemptible”, a “house of darkness” and a “swamp of antisemitic bile”.
Israel’s outgoing ambassador to the UN shredded a copy of the UN charter with a miniature paper shredder while also standing at the podium of the general assembly, and later said the UN headquarters in New York “should be closed and wiped off the face of the Earth”.
Israel’s foreign minister falsely accused the UN secretary general of not having condemned Iran’s attacks on Israel, declared him “persona non grata in Israel” and announced that he had “banned him from entering the country”.
The Israeli government actively obstructed a UN-mandated commission of inquiry trying to collect evidence on the 7 October attacks.
Israel’s parliament is in the process of designating a longstanding UN agency, Unrwa, as a “terrorist organization”.
The Israeli military has bombed UN schools, warehouses and refugee camps in Gaza for 12 consecutive months, and killed a record 228 UN employees in the process. “By far the highest number of our personnel killed in a single conflict or natural disaster since the creation of the United Nations,” to quote the UN secretary general.
The Israeli military is now also attacking UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon. According to the UN, “five UN ‘Blue Helmets’ serving with UNIFIL in Lebanon have been injured as Israeli forces inflicted damage on UN positions close to the ‘Blue Line’.”
How is any of this OK? Acceptable? Legal?
Perhaps the biggest question of all: how is Israel still allowed to remain a member of the UN? Why has it not yet been expelled from an organization that it is relentlessly and shamelessly attacking and undermining? Sure, there are other human rights abusers that remain card-carrying members of the UN – Syria, Russia and North Korea, to name but a few – but none of them have killed UN employees en masse; none of them have sent tanks to invade a UN base; none of them have “refused to comply with more than two dozen UNSC resolutions”. It has been more than 60 years since any country in the world dared make the UN secretary general himself “persona non grata”.
To be clear: it’s not as if there isn’t a mechanism for expelling a UN member state. Article 6 of the UN charter says:
“A Member of the United Nations which has persistently violated the Principles contained in the present Charter may be expelled from the Organization by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.”
Now some might point out that no member state has ever been expelled from the UN under Article 6. Plus, the United States, which has vetoed over 50 UN security council resolutions critical of Israel since the early 1970s, would never allow such a “recommendation of the Security Council” to be made.
It’s a valid objection. History, however, teaches us that there are workarounds to security council vetoes. As the international law professor and former US state department adviser Thomas Grant pointed out in October 2022, while making his own case for expelling Russia from the United Nations in the wake of Vladimir Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, “UN members on two occasions in the past have judged a particular Member delegation no longer fit to sit at the organization’s table. On both occasions, the UN improvised a solution.”
In 1971, socialist and non-aligned nations in the Global South voted in the UN general assembly to recognized the People’s Republic of China as “the only legitimate representative of China to the United Nations” and thereby replaced the representatives from the Republic of China (Taiwan), which had been a founding member of the UN. ROC was out, PRC was in – and it was the general assembly, not the security council, that decided it.
Three years later, relying again not on the UN charter but its own “rules of procedure” as the human rights lawyer and former UN official Saul Takahisi has noted, the UN general assembly “voted to refuse to recognize the credentials of the South African delegation” and “barred South Africa from participation in the Unga” until 1994.
Oh, and the two main reasons cited by the UN general assembly for suspending South Africa’s membership? Its practice of apartheid against the indigenous Black population and its illegal occupation of neighboring Namibia. Sound familiar?
Crucially, as Thomas Grant has written, “the move against South Africa followed no precise procedural pathway in the UN charter or existing UN practice” and the UN showed how “an improvisatory ethos prevails, when the member states judge a matter important enough that they must act.”
So what is more “important” for the UN member states right now than attacks on the UN itself by a single member state? On the UN’s authority, personnel, headquarters and charter? On Saturday, 40 countries issued a joint statement condemning Israel’s brazen and ongoing assault on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon but talk is cheap. UN member states need to act.
The Israeli government may want to pretend that the United Nations, and the general assembly in particular, is irrelevant, impotent and filled with antisemitic bias, yet Israel only exists today because of a UN general assembly resolution. The country’s own 1948 Declaration of Independence makes seven different references to the United Nations, all of them super-positive and ever-so-grateful.
So evicting Israel from the UN, or at least suspending its participation in the general assembly as a first step, would send a powerful message – both to the people of Israel and to the rest of the world.
That the authority of the United Nations still matters. That the lives of UN staff and peacekeepers also matter. And that one rogue nation cannot declare war on the UN itself and continue to get away with it.
Mehdi Hasan is the CEO and editor-in-chief of the new media company Zeteo
