So do you guys think krogan women name their eggs before they hatch? Are most female territory’s taken up by their buried unhatched and stillborn?
This keeps me up at night:)

Confession: there was a great fic I read a while back where the "mating request" Shepard gets in ME2 on Tuchunka is from Wrex. Shepard calls his bluff, and they go back to her quarters and fuck. It's hot, and so is the thought of being stretched out by Wrex's massive cock.

A few examples of Mass Effect OCs I made
A female Krogan who loved making custom weapons
An Human engineer who works among a crew of Asari and always has grease on her face
An Elcor who writes and likes to act out parts of his stories
A Human Shadow Broker agent who works with a shackled AI
Turian Cabal lady who works undercover a lot
Asari gal who races on high speed bikes in tight suits
Kindly old Batarian doctor lady
Quarian doctor who spent her pilgrimage mainly on Tuchunka
A drell lady that teaches hand to hand combat in formal classes on the Citadel
This isn't even all of them! Pretty sure I had a lady who had an unfortunate strong crush on Aria. Haven't found her yet.

See now I'm wondering if I could do a Mass Effect version of Tether where I recount the events of the game with personal touches and a few adjustments to canon. Because I very much like the idea of the VS, especially Ashley, being on the Tuchunka mission.
I think Raphael would insist she recover but I think it's fully in character for Ashley to push herself.
*
Raphael: I need you at your best.
Ashley: Skipper, look at me. This IS my best. I can't be cooped up in this hospital any longer while people die.
Raphael: But if something happened...
Ashley: Something already happened. I'll get up as many times as I need to. Whatever it takes. You wouldn't expect anything less from any other soldier.
Raphael: ...No. No, I wouldn't.
*
Of course that would change the whole Citadel Coup level, which as I understand is heavily criticized. I think people were unhappy with Cerberus as a whole in 3, it was strange that had a huge army when they were noted as a small but elite private operation.
I don't know how I would change that though... maybe Reaper troops are on the Citadel, TIM is trying to take advantage of the chaos. Ashley as Spectre wants to protect the Council, so she and Raph split into teams? is that anything?

There's literally a galaxy's worth of options. Feel free to pick Andromeda and tell me the truth in your tags if these don't appeal.

Re: Sten romance. I love the idea of the Warden going to Par Vollen. I've read a few fics to that effect. It just has a really angsty potential of want versus duty, and foreignness versus familiarity. An Arishok!Sten with tender feelings just gets me in the gut.
I am imagining the kind of scene that goes down in mass effect 2 when shepard rocks up to tuchunka and wrex just shoves some krogan aside to be like HEY SHEPARD MY FRIEND
But like with the warden and sten. Like all these qunari are like who tf is this get away from the arishok and he just gets up and walks down and shoves them out the way to embrace the warden and they're smug about it like yeah thats right boys i take precedent here.
The tension among his people and the warden having an important privileged position in their society bc of stens feelings for them would be *chefs kiss*

See a thing on Mass Effect, think of the ‘Shepard Hisashi’ thing.
And like a part of this AU is that there’s been a bit of a revolution concerning villains and heroes. My idea there is that a group of villains known as the Shield Maidens all had Quirks that let them create force fields or the such. When the Reapers came, the group dispersed around the galaxy with one purpose: protect everyon they can.
The strongest one admittedly stuck to earth and created a force field that covered the entire planet. There were two that went to Tuchunka. They were twins who could create EMPs that would fry anything in a certain area. It works on Reaper stuff, and they picked Tuchunka as a more low tech area.
A pair went to Palaven to create a safe city, one went to Thessia, the list goes on.
And like they were open about this. People knew. And it’s caused a change in society.
This group of villains who robbed people blind and caused chaos chose to save people. They used their Quirks for the greater good despite having caused harm before.
Is it any surprise that they became heroes offically after? Admittedly the constant use of their Quirks followed by using Trigger and stimulants as needed have left them all unwell. The ones on Palaven stayed and are in a hospital being treated, the ones on Tunchunka stayed, with one sibling dying and the other becoming a bit of a hermit. Thessia had their hero pass to, and so did Earth’s.
This has been held up by multiple people that heroes can be anyone. That villains can change and become better, and some stories from the remaining maidens contain so much of why they became what they are.
The world changed.
So, imagine how the LOV is affected now~

What really stuck with me on my most recent playthrough was the Tuchunka bomb mission- specifically the aftermath. The Primarch's son isn't a major character, I don't even remember his name. But despite not knowing him well, Shepard still has a strong reaction to his death because they're just so tired of losing people.
And the way the voice actor for the Primarch delivers the lines "Thank you for letting my son die with the respect of his men. He'll be recorded in the history books. It's the greatest honor a father could ask for." gets me. It's so flat and emotionless, and it works so well- hooray, your son died a hero. But he's still fucking dead.
It's such a small moment from early in the game. But it's stuck with me in a way I can't stop thinking about.
I know that Mass Effect 3 gets a lot of shit - and fuck knows it deserves it - but I swear it also has the ability to make me feel more emotions than any other piece of media ever has.
Forget the endings bullshit, and the ridiculousness of Kai Leng - it's about Javik's voice when he asks you "Why didn't you prepare for the reapers, human?" It's the old lady whose daughter is dead on earth, but she doesn't know, and doesn't remember she's talking to her asari daughter in law. It's the kid in the refugee camp, waiting for her parents. It's Mordin singing Amazing Grace, Thane's last prayer, Legion and Tali on Rannoch - does this unit have a soul? It's asking the elcor ambassador how many of his people you managed to save and hearing "Not. Enough." It's hearing the casualty reports over the radio in London - areas reporting 90, 95 percent casualties - and knowing there's nothing you can do. It's hearing Anderson whisper "You did good, child" as he dies. It's hearing Hackett's voice and standing up one last time, ready to fight, ready to die.
#mass effect 3 is at its best when its about finding hope in desperate circumstances#and dealing with the loss found in those desperate circumstances

BIGGEST shoutout to @c-rowlesdraws !!!!!! I love your Volus headcanon and decided to make my own OC!!!!
She’s lieutenant of a Volus bomb squad deployed on Tuchunka along with Turian military during the Reaper War and for this drawing, I wanted her to be out of her environmental suit and in armour!!!! I’m still figuring out a name and a backstory >:)
The second photo is the better product made a day later;)

When I first played the Mass Effect games, my megalophobia made it suuuuper hard for me to finish them, especially 2 and super especially 3. The Rannoch and Tuchunka Reaper Destroyer boss fights were so bad that I needed to lie down after both of them 😭

Like Krogan can be so romantical the prime example being that one guy who sang krogan love songs at his Asari girlfriend at Illium then they showed up on Tuchunka and he's all like 'isn't it great?' and his girlfriend is like 'its has...personality' and I thought it was so cute!
and the terminals in amdromeda were the carry on top
Do you think there is human/krogan porn and human/krogan relationships? (Feel free to expand that into having a Krogan roommate, I love your alien roommate drabbles)
if a romance drama film about a krogan and a human falling in love/overcoming their different cultures got widespread in the milky way enough for the Andromeda initiative to pack it up amidst the other media records, then not only is there porn for this category but an over abundance of it.
But I see it being considered taboo and controversial amidst krogans to be with a human. The only reason we're even considered "datable" is through the process of elimination.
A Korgan would either eat their own quads than smooch a salarian. They'd rather cave their own skull in than ever sleep with a turian. The asari are sexy to them, but they're also partially responsible for wronging them in the past. Plus, most asari avoid krogans because they fear commitment and long-lasting relationships with their equal lifespans. Quarians are chill, but there are very few of them to go around, and many many krogans.
Leaving...the humans. The soft squishes. Only winning first place courtesy of all other contestants shitting the bed. Congratulations to humanity.
Yeah, we're not exactly a tasty cut from the sexual appeal pie to them. We're too soft, too fragile, and we have too few organs. Traits that turians find hot in us would turn the krogans off instead.
They like us for what we're not rather than what we are. Humans are not as ugly as turians, humans are not as annoying as salarians, humans are not as condescending as asari, humans are not.
They do, however, enjoy our art, find it endearing that we still attempt to drink krogan liquor despite it possibly putting us in an early grave. Humans party hard and keep up with krogans. The rest of the galactic species are too uptight. And despite our inflated egos, sometimes our bite lives up to our bark.
The problem is, would a human survive sexual Intercourse with a krogan? What's uh the situation down there? What are we dealing with in the trenches? I doubt whatever we have to offer is enough to satisfy them.
Sexually and attractiveness wise, humans are a 4/10 at best to krogans. Romantically, however? You've seen them follow in humanity's footsteps when it comes to courting rituals. The flower bouquets, the poems, the slow dancing. They're awkwardly mimicking us.
A krogan roommate wouldn't care the least bit about you being half naked lounging on his lap, but he'd have to resist melting into a puddle whenever you cup his face, call him honey, sweetheart, beloved, darling, any of your silly human petnames that hold a vice grip on each of his hearts for some reason.
He would think about it for centuries if you ever tuck a flower into his armour. Dream about it every night that one time you came drunk home and insisted on dancing with him to slow music in the kitchen, teaching his the steps, swaying together with melodic music playing in the background.
A hug, the simplest show of affection of all, coming from a human, is enough to send a krogan to their knees.

"Hah, how about I save the news talk once we settle at a place to eat? Build up the anticipation and suspense." There was bit a more of a playful air that came out when it came to him and Lady. After keeping close since what occurred in Elysium. It was nice to have someone to call a friend outside of the Alliance military. The environment he worked at didn't really allow him to do so. Plus, he was content just being at least on good terms with one person like Lady being from the colonies.
"Come, lets walk to the place you had in mind. I am not needed at the moment we can have all this time to catch up!" A promise that he could fulfill, Shepard was the sort that didn't like to leave unresolved things, thus splitting his attention when focusing on time with friends and close ones. As he walks, Shepard takes a moment to give Lady a quick one over on the sort of get up she had on her.
"Looks someone is moving on up. Glad to see things have been going pretty well for you since the last contract you were telling me about. Quite the higher end armor too. Did the jobs in Tuchunka cover for that or?" There is a moment where a small impressed smile grows on his face, making a playful nudge to her sides.
the citadel had treated her well with mercenary jobs after finally getting here from over in elysium. plus, it helped her keep an ear out for word on her father. she had been searching for him since her mother's death and she had been going to dead ends for the past few months. lady was sure she would run into shepard here considering it was the epicenter of everything in the galaxy. they kept communications as well so it wasn't like he didn't know where she was. this is how this meeting took place.
"it has been a while, shep. oh? big news? well, don't keep me on my toes, sheppy!" she patted his arm and then let out a small laugh. over the time they had spoke back in elysium, she would consider him a close friend. he was nice but he still had that rough edge. it appeared that he had been quite busy himself. "i figured we could get something to eat here and sit down. my treat for old time's sake, right?"
she was fitted up in her usual. lady was busy most days with work and today was no different. it was likely she would be heading off to somewhere within the citadel to handle some business. even the citadel wasn't as squeaky clean as most thought. "i'll tell you what you wanna know but you first."
