My THREE Tobias Designs: (Lady Help Me)

Tobias (Original)

Usually, I don't really discuss about the niches and little details about my character designs. But Tobias haunts a special place in my heart and mind, so I decided to fully explain my thought process while designing the Greatest Ttte Villain Of All Time.

First off, for Tobias when he was a normal tram, I originally wanted to have some YK2 grunge to fit his moodier and nastier personality. But that ended up too modern for my liking and so I opted to have a "jock" style instead, which I ended up really liking because of how well it connects to his character: A demeaning bully who puts his brother down and views others as beneath him. He has a messy and sharp hairstyle which plays into the triangle shape language and has a short ponytail which is barely visible behind his back.

The golden ear piercing and the golden necklace around his neck are gifts given by Oliver along with the reddish-orange scarf and extra jacket around his waist. (He did not appreciate it though) There are bandages on his face, wrapped around his arms and legs since realistically, I think Tobias would have partaken in some dangerous behaviors and have gotten himself heavily injured in order to relief his temper. The gray glasses and bandanas around his legs are just fun things to add to his silhouette. Also, he has a lil ahoge. :3

Next up we got Tobias when he was imprisoned in Toby's body for 18 years. (The thing about Montague's original persona being Toby's persona was the only major nitpick I had so I reconned it to have Toby be another sibling of Oliver and Tobias. Rosalyn separated him from the other two trams since she had extremely bad experiences with Tobias. And yes, he still used to be Tabitha. I love old ftm men :3 :3 :3) And oh boy, we got a lot of changes here! First off, the hair. Since this is Toby's body that Tobias is inhabiting, the man said "fuck you" to the braided ponytail and ripped off the red rose on his head. He has different front, back hair and ponytail than Toby. The ahoge is relocated at the near back of his head.

Next up, we have these luscious and totally not creepy ass blue eyes with small ass pupils. I made the blue iris more blue than the original and the pupils are now cool anime ones. For the outfit, the bow is not even a bow anymore due to Tobias not knowing how to tie a bowtie for his life and is more wonky. Oh yeah! By the way, those sleeve garters that were around Toby's arms? Tobias' arms were too muscular and tore them into pieces. The colors are more dark and desaturated than Toby's, playing into the darker and grimmer persona of Tobias. Speaking of darker colors, the then-white shirt is now a light grey dress shirt. The sleeves of the brown suit are rolled up and Tobias still has the ol' reliable bandages! Yeah, the pants are.....Well: Ripped. The belt is holding onto hopes and dreams and some gray cloth are covering the top of the blackish-grey boots. (Tobias you are NOT a good doppelganger)

Tobias (Insane)

Sergeant? Do you see those even tinier and uncanny eyes staring at the center of your soul? Well, I do. And it makes me shit my pants. The hair is even longer and unkempt due to Tobias becoming a completely feral and killer monster at the near end of the film. The cracks, were the hardest part of this whole process. But to be fair, it was completely worth it because on how uneven it is; Selling the appearance of a villain who has completely lost their sanity even more! I tried making the smile as unnatural as I can but, this was all that I can do. :(

Yeah Tobias does not give any fucks about his appearance any more, you can ask that to the untied bowtie, the nearly sliced off suit and the very loose belt. And oh my, where did you get that crystal shoulder armor? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) And-THOMAS YOUR BLOOD IS STAINED ON THE BANDAGES OF YOUR KILLER NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Okay, not trying not to think about Thomas' death, the gray shirt has a little piece that is hanging out and slightly covering the belt. And the pants....Oh my god....The pants are utterly ruined forever.... But hey! Tobias got some cool punk-looking boots now! :DDDDD

I was originally going to make a fanmade fourth design but I lost way too many brain cells in the process of making Tobias and now I need to recharge them. 🥲🥲🥲

But hope you guys enjoy these designs as much as I did!

Holy moly that was an amazing film!

I never thought i’d say this, but i kinda want to roleplay in this universe! I think after watching the movie i’ve become a little too invested in Oliver’s character!

Sooo hey! If anyone wants to indulge me and help me with some sorta OC x Oliver plot, i’d greatly appreciate it!

Maybe a human au since i’m not all that great with the ins and outs of trains - although the Tobias universe is a bit wacky in it’s own way so I might give it a shot! I’d love to do something where my oc is able to show Oliver his true worth.

ALTERNATIVELY…

Montague x Oliver. Because while Montague was a little ‘big for his buffers’ it’s clear he was on Oliver’s side in the flashback sequences! Tobias was a menace and someone needed to care about little Olly! It sure as hell wasn’t gonna be his insane big brother. Sooo, i’m down for that too.

Or Atherton x Oliver. Let’s be real, people DID care about Olly but he wasn’t sure of himself to know that.

I find the scene where Tobias killed poor Thomas really got me sick! Overall, I like the concept, even to James being adapted to be the villain, ala Tale Of The Brave.

1 - 03/09/2023 : really wanted to draw Ru n Toni in some eveningwear, was a fun opportunity to draw Toni a bit more masc... shes so hot wtf!!! i love these ladies

2, 3 - 04/09/2023 : a Trixie pen doodle, which I ended up turning into a full digital piece..... which i procrastinated on for months, but hey at least i Did finish it! also a little human TTTE au doodle... its Diesel and hes silly... i doodled him in the oingo boingo only a lad pose bc, damn, he really is only a lad

4 - 05/09/2023 : another human Diesel, i did end up tweaking a lot of these initial human designs, so don't get too comfy with em, but oh my.. could it be... Goopy makes another boingo reference? how peculiar that never ever happens..... anyway Perfect System is my fave Diesel song.. in my head is an AMV that will never be made

5, 6, 7 - 06/09/2023 : first, some ideas for my human Edward, thought i might as well include these, for the craic i guess x ... then a rare one of Toby (i havent drawn him since.. i should change that) and Diesel, then that one barbie meme with Edward n James, dont get comfy with either of these designs coz they're not sticking x

8 - 07/09/2023 : a pencil drawing emerges.. Eddie again, with his initial design i was gonna go with, i think the side profile is especially cute..

9 - 09/09/2023 : aaand heres the design i've currently settled on! im much happier with this, and its one of my fave drawings of last year, even if its nothing too special, hes just so cute, and thats really it

10 - 10/09/2023 : silly phone doodle of my human percy.. he drank 2 meny monsters.. cuz i think he would ig.. splort on the floor

11, 12 - 15/09/2023 : another silly (very quick) phone doodle.. i like the idea of Edward taking Diesel under his wing and nobody else can quite understand why, ALSO Edward n Emily friendship? lets go... gays stick together and listen to belinda carlisle its true

13 - 17/09/2023 : YET ANOTHER silly one... oo shes so silly so quirky... i just think if Edward ended up in TATMR he would destroy D10 like thats probs why he wasnt included... hes too powerful

14, 15, 16 - 21/09/2023 : human Diesel shenanigans, first isnt my fave thing ive done and again his design is now outdated BUT the little one of him flipping you off is so funny to me like you get em lil guy!! also Edward again big surprise. holding his little gremling

17 - 29/09/2023 : watched tobias and the last pariah and all i could think about was this meme of the brown eyes vs blue eyes thing so i doodled them on my phone

Anyone invested in an Oliver x Duck roleplay?

Maybe any Oliver ship except Oliver/Douglas. That one’s not BAD but it isn’t 100% my cup of tea.

I’m down for some rarepairs too if you have any obscure Oliver ships in mind!
