Sure thing! Drabble under the cut.

You make your way to the meadow where you agreed to meet your two mates, Henry and Gordon, tonight. It's more of a date in a sense than anything. It has been a while since you've been able to just relax with them, and tonight is especially beautiful. The night sky is so clear tonight. The moon and stars look particularly beautiful tonight.

You smile as you see the two tender engines already waiting for you. You slow to a stop between them. The two engines purr softly, and nuzzle you.

"I'm glad we're able to meet like this again. I think the three of us needed it." Henry purrs softly. He's always been so sweet to you. He's truly a kind and caring soul. He's very in tune with you. He can notice even the smallest changes in you.

"I agree with you on that, Henry. We needed this.." Gordon smiles gently. This is a nice change to Gordon's usual stoic persona he puts on while working. He's an absolute teddy bear around you, and you absolutely love it. You feel so lucky to be able to see his rarely seen soft side like this, let alone having him for a mate along with Henry.

You relax, feeling comfortable and warm between the two steamers. The tender engines ere practically radiating heat, furnaces on wheels, providing you with plenty of warmth on a chilly night. Henry smiles, seeing how content you are in their company. He wouldn't trade it for the world.

You look up at the night sky. The light of the full moon illuminating the meadow, making it look like a silver ocean. The grass flowing like waves in the slight breeze. "It's so beautiful tonight.."

Gordon chuckles softly, gently licking your cheek. "Not as beautiful as you.."

Henry snickers as he sees your cheeks turn red at Gordon's compliment. He gently nuzzles you, purring. "He's right you know.. Nothing is as beautiful as you.. nor will anything ever be more beautiful than you.."

You smile sheepishly. "Well, you're both equally handsome, and sweet. You have no idea how lucky I feel to have you two as mates.." You nuzzle them both.

The two tender engines purring up a storm at your compliment. The purring from the two engines has grown into a comforting sound to you during your time being in a relationship with them, a gentle reminder that they will always be there for you no matter what. You truly feel happy in their company. You know that you, and even possibly the young engines you my either adopt or have with them will always be safe with them.

The three of you spend several more hours together, talking about each other's day, and asking how one the other is doing lately. You wish you could have more time with them like this, rather than having to work. Sure, you don't mind having to work them, but you'd prefer to spend some quality time with the two steamers.

You look up at the moon, guessing what time it would be by the position of the moon in the sky, a little trick you had learned from the both of them. It's getting late into the night, and the three of you need to rest in order to work tomorrow. As much as you don't want the time you are spending with them at the moment to be cut short, it's not like you and the two tender engines have much of a choice for now. Maybe some day all three of you could take the day off and spend time together on the island for a bit. That would be nice.

"I think we better head off to our sheds. It's getting late, and we need to rest for work tomorrow." You look at the two engines at either side of you. Henry seems a little disheartened with not being able to spend more time with you, but you're right. Him, Gordon, and you need to rest for another big day or work tomorrow.

"Do you need us to escort you to your shed, or are you alright with going back by yourself?" Gordon raises an eyebrow at you. That's another thing about the two steamers. They've grown to become quite protective of you, and will not hesitate to rush to your aid if needed. You think for a moment. Surely, you wouldn't need them to escort you to your shed, which isn't that far away from here.

"I'm fine for now, but thank you for your offer." You smile. Both Gordon and Henry nuzzle you one last time before you, Henry, and Gordon make your ways back to your respective sheds. You will definitely want to do this again with them.
