I think Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu should have a relationship where no one knows if it's romantic or not or if they have banged or are currently banging

If asked they maintain that they can't stand each other. They wouldn't be caught dead in the others presence and don't even like each other and how DARE you suggest otherwise

But the next time you visit them they literally laying on top of each other either arguing or flirting and you can't tell which and you're not sure if they know

Even Luo Binghe isn't 100% what's going on but whenever he starts to get nervous or jealous Shang Qinghua gives him advice and encouragement in his relationship with Shen Qingqiu so he's just a bit confused about the whole thing and is trying to ignore it as best he can

Mobei however is VERY concerned

Meanwhile Cumplane are spending a lot of time figuring out how to low key antagonise the other which may or may not be a substitute for fucking nasty style

Shang Qinghua 100% talks about being overworked more then he is

He runs An Ding like a well oiled machine with many redundancies and no one, not even himself, is irreplaceable

You lose a cog and the machine keeps running

He knows at some point he's going to be gone either through death, getting found out, or doing a runner

He also has redundancies for his get away plans and he has like 20 ways for An Ding to evacuate and go to ground before Cang Qiong can be destroyed while also giving his ducklings plausible deniability

So An Ding actually runs fine when he's in exile

He's let back because

1. 5 years is about as long as the machine can run without a tune up. Cracks are showing

2. The Ducklings are actually goslings and Yue Qingyuan is not going to piss off a peak of angry geese who want their Mama back. Not when they hold the tax records

3. Mu Qingfang wants his favourite Shixiong back and looked at Yue Qingyuan with disappointed doctor face

4. Most crucially it's clear Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu are tight and Shen Qingqiu is more likely to at least visit more often if his bestie is on the mountain
