Here's the minimum gauge Thomas w A/C and Percy from my AU!

In my AU, these engine along with Nia and rebecca ones are part of an attraction called Big World, Big Adventures

A random thought I had for a bwba rewrite;

Other than the whole subplot with Gordon having a villain arc, I also thought of a subplot that involves Thomas, Edward and Phillip.

Basically what happens is there would be a episode that delves more into Thomas and his relationship with Edward. He begins to realise he misses him more than he thought and tries to talk to Edward about these problems. But Edward either never notices him because of how busy he is or tells him stuff like "I'm sorry, Thomas, but I can't talk right now. Perhaps later?". Thomas also notices Edward spending a lot of time with Phillip and talking with him.

He knows that Phillip is still new(ish) to the railway and Edward is simply mentoring him like he did with him, but he can't help but feel jealous.

Before anyone says, yes, what Edward does in this subplot is kinda out of character for him, I know T^T but I like angst.

Me, rewriting a potential BWBA in my mind; Ah yes, add more angst :)

I heard some people saying that we should have gotten some episodes highlighting James and Nia's dynamics, since they're implied to be close. So, since I'm an aspiring script writer, I took it up on myself to write one for them! Here's the summary! I imagine this would take place in a hypothetical BWBA season.

The Red Engine Rally

Summary: Nia is thrilled to discover her old friend Kwaku is visiting Sodor. Everyone else is also very excited to meet another engine from Nia's homeland. But James feels overshadowed by the much larger and grander red engine. Not to mention that Nia and everyone else seems to like Kwaku much better than him. To see who's the best red engine, James organizes a series of competitions for him and Kwaku to compete in. Whoever wins, will be declared to Best Red Engine in the world! But among all this excitement, James completely misses the fact that Nia doesn't want to choose between her friends. She cares about them both!

One more thing! If you guys want, I may try writing this episode out and posting it! Would you guys want to read it? Let me know!

Say what you will about Thomas's BWBA era, but I LOVE how the engines can emote by shifting their frames! And I wish this was something they incorporated since the start of CGI Thomas.

One of the things I enjoyed most about the model era was how expressive the engines were. Every character had such a wide range of facial expressions, which made them all feel so alive! Even if we don't see their mouths move when they talk, they still managed to convey a lot of personality.

But with the transition to CGI, the movement of the facial animations became a lot smoother. And because of that, I feel like the range of expressions became a lot more limited. You don't see James's entire face wrinkle up when he gets angry anymore, for example. Sure, the transitions from expression to expression look more natural. But they no longer feel as varied.

The BWBA era animations would have been a really big step up from that. Like, not only can the engines talk, but they can emote! They can sway from side to side and make their own unique gestures! It broadens the range with which the engines can convey their personalities. It shows that these are not just "talking trains", they are LIVING trains! These are living, breathing locomotives running around this railway!

In conclusion, I just think it would have been neat and helped the transition from model to CGI feel less stiff.

(Context; Takes place in BWBA. Nia likes Henry. Just an interaction I thought up. I tried to make Thomas's personality resemble Trampy's Thomas btw)

Thomas: Hey...Nia?

Nia: Hmm...? Oh! Hello, Thomas!

Thomas: Yeah, hi...uh, why do you keep staring at Henry like that?

Nia: Like what?

Thomas: You stare at him as if you've never seen a big engine before. Can't blame you though, he's quite fat, isn't he–?

Nia: THOMAS! Don't say that, Henry doesn't look fat at all! He's strong, kind and quite...handsome, I must admit.

Thomas: Okay, whatever...wait...did you say Henry's handsome?

Nia: N-No–!

Thomas (putting two and two together): Oh my god. You have a crush on fucking Henry–

Nia (flustered): I-I..yeah?! Maybe?! So what if I do? Henry's such a sweet engine!

Thomas (if he could pinch the bridge of his nose, he would) : Out of all the engines on this whole island, Nia...you're so lucky he's became soft–

Nia: What's wrong with Henry?! Henry's kind, loves nature and animals like me, and he's patient!

Thomas: Yeah, 'kind and patient'...sure...you wouldn't be saying that back when the first Sir Topham Hatt was here

Thomas (deviously smirking): Nia, have you ever heard of "The Railway Series"?
