After chasing after Edward, Bertie had gone in for repairs. During that time, the bus company had decided to bring in a new fleet of buses. One of these was Algy.

Bertie had quickly taken a dislike to Algy.

“Imagine! Falling into such a sorry state after racing one old steam train!” Algy laughed. “No wonder you lost to that suburban train in that little race of yours!”

“I've beaten Thomas in races since then!” Bertie argued.

“Did you? Or did he let you?”

Bertie glared hotly.

“Doesn't matter. You barely manage against this “Thomas”, you only just caught that train a few weeks ago-”

“I do just fine, thank you. No bus on any of the Ffarquhar routes can match my time and boast the safety I provide.”

“Not yet. Give me a week and I’ll run you out of that old bumpkin backroad.”

Quick sketches of Cleo as a Fowler B6 so I would like her a little bit more and you know steam Road locomotives are a thing Mattel don’t be cowards!!! She’s an experimental freelance steam road locomotive in my Au, very much the Ivo Hugh of the roads considering she’s the youngest of the bunch. She occasionally works with the Jack at the Sodor Construction Company doing odd jobs or helping Trevor at the orchard. baby girl got so many family figures. At this point she has the entire pack, (Yes even Max and Monty)Winston,Trevor, Caroline, Elizabeth,butch Terence,Algy,Bertie,even Harold and Hubert!! She’s doesn’t even realize it. shes bffs with sandy cause that one audiobook I listened to.

Bertie strikes me as aromantic, so everything onwards is me considering them as a queerplatonic ship! Even though I like Algy (hi Algy fans… all three of us), I… admittedly don’t have much to say for these two? I don’t think I have a well-established personality for Algy. I suppose it’s sweet that Bertie does help him, and he’s helpful in turn; but I wish he had more to distinguish himself apart from that and his technical failures. :[ Although… implementing a rescue dynamic could be potential fuel? Maybe?

I liked the reincarnation ask. I think it actually works for Algy maybe considering he has 2 seperate designs yet still the same Algy.

📂- Algy supposedly chose to have his blue paintwork after someone he idolized, and right after he got his new redesign. Rumors speculate that it was a certain steam engine who went through similar hardships that Algy went through as a faulty machine and came out of it stronger.

I think all the buses are very neat. With Algy, this very much is a default given he’s a little guy. They’re like a blorbo to me. Like Bertie. They are soooooo cool looking.

His shape is similar to Bertie’s rectangular prism-ish one where I want to carry them in a handbag like a tiny dog cat. Dog? What dog? I’d much rather prefer cats.

They’re deeper than they seem… he’s quite wasted potential since he wasn’t fleshed out all that much. His little history of having engine problems that ended with passengers having to push him makes me wonder if he were to become an extremely flawed vehicle archetype like Henry I. That would’ve been interesting on Algy’s shtick given that he usually appears as supposing to be covering other vehicles’ work when they’re down.

He exists, he’s not remarkable at what he does, he’s kinda there for other people… wow… they are LITERALLY me!

I don’t really have much to say about them because HE DIDN’T GET ENOUGH SCREEN TIME… or literally anything in the show. :,[
