A little kid and his mother are trick or treating in another city, perhaps at some kind of event rather than knocking on doors, and the kid is dressed as Phantom. It’s very adorable, with his little ghost-shaped bucket and clearly homemade and already stained costume—listen, white only works if you can just fly over street grime or phase it out of your clothes—and his slightly I’ll fitting wig. The kid is SO happy to be out and about dressed as his favorite, and maybe even showed it off to Phantom back in Amity Park before his family left.

The hero, insert whoever you wish here, is probably in civvies and just enjoying the event. The kid, meanwhile, is so glad when people ask who he is so he can explain, and so- the hero gets to hear ALL ABOUT the local town hero who is probably pretty small time despite the kid’s clearly exaggerated stories. The hero certainly never heard of him, but the kid’s mom confirms that Phantom really was the town hero, despite some mixed reviews of the poor guy.

“Did you manage to show him your costume?” the hero asks.

“Yeah! We went down to the cemetery to leave flowers and I got to show him my costume.”

Wait. Cemetery? Maybe it was part of theme, because Phantom had to be named that for a reason, but… it sounded like…

The kid ignores the suddenly VERY still hero and instead turns to his mom. “Momma, do you think we should bring him candy? He doesn’t get to trick or treat like we do, and I can work super hard to get him a bunch!”

The kid’s mom just smiles. “We could, but maybe we should bring him something homemade. I bet he’d like something more filling, teen boys like him have a hollow leg.”

The kid wrinkles his nose. “Like Vernie with the pizza bagels?”

“Like your cousin, yes. We can make some cinnamon rolls and take them to his memorial, maybe bring some of the apples from your grandpa’s garden…”

The hero is pretty much forgotten as the two-part family wanders off, not quite intentionally forgetting the hero is there so much as the hero somewhat accidentally ended the conversation when they just froze and didn’t ask anything further.

Not that the hero didn’t want to. But they’d learn something very serious.

One—there was a small town hero they’d never heard of. Two—that hero was apparently a teen. Third—most pressingly, the teen hero was both beloved enough to have kids dressing up as him and dead enough to have a grave.

This… might require some phone calls.

they bleach as they age.

the dragonets are all dark green/blue/purple originally. this helps camouflage them from predators.

seawings in the deep palace tend to be darker colored, but the shallower water they live in, the lighter/more vibrant their colors will be.

seawings in the summer palace tend to be lighter or have brighter colors.

the royal family, that lives at the top of the palace, are frequently light/pastel with pink and white accents.

since tsunami has barely seen the sunlight, she’s very dark for a seawing.

I've been having a brainrot upon rereading tsunami, what if the traumatized babies Essie, Hime, and Percy met? This is like pre-ror Percy so she's still a bit intact in sanity. I imagine their discussion goes like this.

If Essie, Hime and Percy meet:

Essie: and oh yeah, my dad is also crazy obsessed with me-

Hime: No way yours too?? *with sparkling eyes*

Essie: Yeah, he used a spell on me to uncover my memories and also saw my trauma *sweat drops* not fun times.. He also is convincing me to move with him and be isolated from the world.

on a scale of 1-10 how well do you think each WoF main character could sing

Clay: He was able to play the dragonets' theme on a random string, despite the fact that we can safely assume he was not trained in any kind of musical instrument at any point before then. 8/10

Tsunami: She is one of the few who we have canonically seen sing, and it was described as loud and off-key. 2/10

Glory: She can probably sing, I don't know if she would, though. 7/10

Starflight: The only information we get on his singing voice is Clay describing it as "pure tenor", meaning he doesn't have a very big vocal range. We don't know if he sounded nice, so I'm just going to assume he's average. 4/10

Sunny: I like to imagine she has a singing voice like Eden Sher. 9/10

Moon: Is it weird that I imagine her as British when I imagine her singing? Or is that just because I associate her so heavily with Matilda and I'm a huge fan of Matilda the Musical? 7/10

Winter: It is a known fact that constantly yelling can be bad for your singing voice. Other than that, I imagine he can sing. 6/10

Peril: As a trans girl, her singing voice is an automatic 10/10.

the fact that Buck said “all she wanted to talk about was death” not “my death” or “the lightning” really makes me think that the reason they broke up wasn’t because she asked about his death for the umpteenth time. It’s because she asked about someone else almost dying and Buck realized how fucking awful the “death is cool” stuff is. This would also explain why he didn’t tell Eddie about the breakup. How do you say “we broke up because I’m fine with my death but the mere thought of losing your son or you brings me unbearable grief” to someone who keeps insisting you’re not expendable (and you’re definitely not in love with).

You have any cool trivia about the time Axis America attacked the Perisphere, and they were seen off by the Young All-Stars? All I know is the weird trivia that both groups had line-ups that seem eerily similar to each other and to the Justice League.

(Sidenote, are there any theories about that?)

Sure. The Battle of Flushing Meadows (named after the park where the Trylon and the Perisphere now sit) was actually the inaugural battle of the Young All Stars, who certainly weren't a team the All Stars had expected to put together.

The Axis Amerika was interesting because, as its name implied, it was not a team active on the actual fronts of the war but was a fifth columnist group made up of homegrown fascist elements from right here in the USA, recruiting mostly for American fascist groups. Its lineup was majority German-American but on member "Usil, the Sun Archer" was later identified as an Italian-American and they had attempted to recruit young Nisei Miya Shimada to their cause after her parents were interned from their home on the west coast.

The Young All-Star's lineup had come from all over

Left to Right: Iron Munro, Fury, Neptune Perkins, Tsunami, Flying Fox and Dan the Dyna-Mite.

The team was "assembled" more or less because they happened to be present when the attack went down. Axis Amerika's target had of course been the All Stars themselves. Team members Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle were quickly taken out of the fight when Iron Munro, Flying Fox and Fury jumped in, holding off the fascist invaders long enough to force a retreat when Green Lantern arrived.

Neptune Perkins and Tsunami (who Axis Amerika had previously tried to recruit) were inducted into the "team" along with Dan the Dyna-Mite who had recently lost his beloved partner TNT in a battle with nazi saboteurs where he and Munro had first met.

Now having this small but notable group of underage superhumans needing guidance, the All Stars decided basically on a whim to assemble the group into a team. The All Stars, despite the nature of their membership, were always low on manpower so a few extra hands were not going to be refused due to age (especially since a good chunk of the Squadron's membership already had young partners or wards) As for the second part of your question, you're not wrong. Both teams and the most iconic lineups of the JLA have: Invulnerable and Super Strong (Ubermensch/Iron Munro/ Superman) Based off of flying, nocturnal animals (Great Horned Owl/Flying Fox/Batman) Female warrior with basis in pagan mythology (Gurda/Fury/Wonder Woman) Young sidekick to a more expirienced fighter (The Bat/Dyna-Mite/Robin)

Aquatic superhuman (Sea Wolf/Neptune Perkins/Aquaman) and Archer (Usil/Tigress/Green Arrow)

I really couldn't tell you why though, other than the stars aligning to place these archetypes at these moments in time. Whether that coincidence has some sort of meaning for you is a question for a spirit medium, not a historian.

Your coral and tsunami post has been sitting in my mind all day, and while it seems you have designs set for both tsunami and orca, it got me wondering if they looked very similar to each other- do you think that would intensify things in a way from coral’s end? in a way, having her lost daughter back (in another sense), and seeing this as a second chance? :0c

tsunami and orca don't look too terribly similar, but they both have a floppy head fin (inherited from gill). when coral compares them, it's more about their personalities and how she viewed them as her heirs. orca was a respected general and an intense person to be around - tsunami is similarly intense, with big opinions and a lot of presence. coral sees orca and tsunami as her true heirs, though she has other daughters.

in fact, tsunami destroying orca's statue could be seen as her rejecting her place as heir and coral's view of her... she feels disillusioned with royal life as a whole & needs a couple years to think about who she is and what she wants. orca's statue was created to let a queen rule without challengers, and tsunami is destroying that power.

ohhhhh Minashee

Hmm, I hc Minashee to be an actually only very recently colonized planet. As a waterworld with vast, deep oceans and really only very few large enough landmassed to do anything on, there really wasn't much cause for anyone to try and settle on it until a very adventurous group decided to make it their new home. So contrary to serennians, most people on Minashee are basically base human.

Now, old canon/legends had Minashee as a world in the Cassandran sector, so my personal hc has always been that what they do have is a strange, inherent predisposition to prophecies and visions, even if they aren't necessarily incredibly Force-sensitive.

In fact, there's a very popular kind of divinatory practice amongst their people where they will -- similar to roman auspicia -- predict the future from the way fish swim.

Speaking of fish, I think that Minashee should have all kinds of fish (and large aquatic mammals) similar to Earth, and thus anything that isn't incredibly toxic is eaten. It just depends a bit on the region where you're from.

Sifo himself can eat grain just fine, but indeed is slightly lactose intolerant. But not as badly as Dooku.

First, the ranking based on the anime only:

1) Toji--> I know he's not part of the yanderes but hear me out THIS HOMELESS GROWN-ASS MAN HAS BEEN HAUNTING MY DREAMS, MY DAYS AND MY NIGHTS FOR ALMOST A YEAR, THIS IS NOT FUNNY ANYMOOOOOORE 😰.

2) Suguru--> Me trying my best not to cry seeing my all time favs not being included 🥲. Joke aside, really liked the fact he wanted to "mercy kill" Mizu cause he knew what it was like to be Satoru's prey. Really heartbreaking, my poor babies.

3) Choso--> Well... my type is hard working, muddy guy 😅. Finally we enter the yandere grounds 🥳. Fun Fact: Absolute first jjk man who stole my heart, seeing only 2min of him in season one.

4) Sukuna--> Me looking at my RoR Ranking with Shiva on top 👀💧. What can I say... Four-Armed Men=Best kind of Men, certified Monster-Lover here.

5) Yuuta--> My sweet cutie babyyyy 😭😭 made me scream when we saw him at the end of season 2 with his big ass weirdo eyes...

6) Satoru--> Well... I understand. He's like, bred to be perfect, but I never was any Gojosexual to be honest (all my homies love Toji-).

7) Megumi/Yuuji--> I love them as characters, really, but the ranking is mostly based on the HoRnY... they're adorable, but... not in a sexy kinda way?

8) Kashimo--> To be honest, like every character introduced during the Culling Games (the only exception being Gigami Chadguruma) , this one absolutely never impacted me in any kind of way. I'm utterly neutral about him. Nice buns tho.

That being said... oh boy, time for the Tsunami ranking!

(1) Megumi/Yuuji--> Look at my bois, how sweet they are😭. They climb at the top because I just reaally loved their interactions with Hime. They have yet to disappoint me, and I just feel they would treat her the "best" out of all the suitors. I could be wrong tho. Also the way you write Megumi😳, it made me realise the potential of HoRnY- Was wishing he would fu** her in front of Yuuta's camera-

(2) Sukuna--> I stayed up all night just to read your Shisui flashback. It may be my favorite segment of your story, how talented can you be? Ryomen Sukuna... he is the one who has the most reason to be obsessed with Mizuhime, he helps her with exorcism when Gojo puts her down, he has four arms 🤤... He could have been my favorite but to be honest, I feel like his ending would be the absolute worst for Mizuhime (being the King of Curses, the final antagonist etc...). And I just love her so very much, she needs at least one good ending 😭

(3) Choso--> Ok hear me out- I know I may be biased, we hadn't really seen him yet, but it seems he would be kinda like Yuuji. I think he could treat her well. And he's just so clueless, how cute🥺. I makes me wonder: would he be aware of Yuuji's love for Mizuhime? If so, would he try to be a good "big bro" and support his little brother, or would he be selfish and try to keep her for himself? (I think I already know the answer-)

(4) Satoru--> Like someone famous said: "Certified LoverBoy, Certified Ped******"! Maaaan, no wonder Hime wants him to stay in his box, he's so nasty🤣. Gross, disgusting, pathetic, obsessed, overpowered, terrifying... He's the worst, but he's so funny to read at the same time. Let's not even talk about his Heian counterpart... As I said, I never was a big fan of this character, but with all the Jjk fic I read, I can say your portrayal of Gojo is my favorite in all the FanficVerse. It may be the same with other characters, but especially for him. How dreadful, to be the object of obsession of the Strongest in the World... He is still at the bottom tho, we don't need this creep around Hime ever again.

(5) Kashimo--> I have no expectation with this one, as I've said earlier. The electricity power seems interesting, but honestly write him however you want. Seeing your blog he seems like a little shit too.

(6) YuUtA🤬--> Well... if you paid attention in the Pjo/RoR ranking, you already know where this is going. Don't you wonder, what's the point of the dual rankings anyway? I use this to compare how high can a character climb (Megumi/Yuuji, Loki) and how low can he fall. And man, HOW LOW DID YUUTA FALL. It breaks my heart because during the first part I was the biggest YuutaHime apologist. He has seen her fucked up family, he bought her books, plushies, he was sweeeet 😭... If he was a yandere "on his own", maybe I could have let it slide, but how can you go from "Damn Hime your relatives are a bunch of creepy weirdos" to "No u can't unfiance me uwu cause I'm ✨️Daddy's Special Boy in Law✨️" Do you know what happens when you do shit like that? I'm gonna tell you, you earn the [Whiny Little Bitch] stamp. Actually, maybe it was my fault. Shouldn't have put all my faith on the Panty Stealer to begin with. I may be harsher with him because, unlike Gojo or Sukuna, this kind of yandere is not cartoonish evil. The way he acts (manipulation, baby-trapping, forced union enabled by the relatives), it seems... way more realistic. It's not funny or entertaining, it's just... sad. I don't want my best girl to end up like the 2nd Sanyu. Not to say the way you wrote him is bad, it was the best to show us how much of a LOSER he is. My last words about him: I hope he dies in a meaningless way.

Glory - She has a thing for goths. I'm not sure what that's about. Maybe she's a little goth, too.

Starflight - A kind, excitable personality that can temper his constant worrying and overthinking.

Sunny - ???

Moon - She likes the mysterious types. Yes, Qibli and Kinkajou count somehow.

Winter - Someone who can act as a sort of bounceboard to his usual argumentative nature.

Peril - Are you Clay? No? Then you're out of luck. He got to her first.

Turtle - Someone spontaneous who shows him that there really isn't much to worry about at all.

Qibli - He likes to talk and will fall pretty quickly for anyone who can provide conversation that no one else can.

Blue - Kind. Respectful. He's kind of in a similar boat as Peril, where he will fall for the first good person he meets and latch on.

Cricket - Someone who has as much whimsy and appreciation for the world around them as she does.
