Sorry to ask this question, but do you have any idea what Izanami is saying when being Damaged? I rarely hear grunts, and all I can imagine is her reprimanding her opponent.

They’d be easier to hear if you muted both the music and sound effects and turned up voice volume.

That said, just like in Guilty Gear, BlazBlue characters have 3 separate voice types that are randomly loaded in battle (not factoring in special quotes from rival characters).

Damage quotes are either random, or determined by how powerful the attack they’re being hit by is, and how many reps they’re getting hit by it as well.

These are just a few, and are probably not all of her quotes, but every character has different quotes for various hit states, including getting stunned, frozen, poisoned, and electrocuted.

It’s unfortunate that later BBCF games no longer included Sound Test, but that should give you an idea of what she’s saying at least.
