The Sims 4 World Map

For convenience in my game I always lacked a visual version of the location of cities and understanding the distance between them. That's why me and chudonana teamed up and this beauty came out.

You will receive: a modified digital image in 3480x2380 resolution in png format, and soon we plan to make a loading screen and a replacement for the game menu out of it, so stay tuned!

The new world Nordhaven is still in question, but judging by the info that already exists, it should be near Windenburg. All worlds were placed based on the scenery of the cities, the plants in them and the weather.

I've always wanted to make my own map for the placement of worlds in the sims 4. After a bit of research I finally managed to make one in Photoshop. I'm a photoshop beginner and have no idea how to really use it, so I'm proud of how this turned out.

Always amazed at fresh new perspectives and ideas for things in the sims! This is so cool and definitely helps with world building and story telling!

Over the last few weeks, I have been spending my time working on my save file because I'm gearing up to start a Let's Play series on Youtube. As I've been building the stories for the characters in my save file, I started thinking about the Sims universe as a whole and how I want my Sims to travel between worlds. It got me thinking that some worlds feel like they're just a short 4-hour car ride away, while others feel like you'd need a plane to get there.

So, I decided to map out my sims universe. I got a lot of inspiration from different Reddit posts as well as the EA descriptions of each world. This has been so helpful for me as I plan out the buildings I want to place in each world. It has been so helpful with finding inspiration for creating builds. I hope you can find this helpful too.

I'm really happy about my Sims universe turned out. I'd love to hear what you think about it! Are there any worlds you disagree with me on? Also, when are we getting an African world, EA?

United States

New Crest reminds me of suburban New York, mostly because you can still the city skyline from there.

Brindleton Bay reminds me so much of New England.

San Myshuno is quite obviously New York.

Willow Creek gives me a New Orleans vibe.

Magnolia Promenade is somewhere in the south because of the name (magnolias grow in the mostly in Southern United States - Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina). I placed it close to Willow Creek for story telling purposes.

Chestnut Ridge gives me a strong Texas vibe.

Del Sol Valley is undoubtedly Los Angeles.

Oasis Springs I think of as Palm Springs with the desert and all, also the Langraabs live there.

San Sequoia I think of as San Francisco mainly because of the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay area, I have all my tech gurus living up there.

Strangerville is straight up Area 51 with all the weird stuff going on there.

Granite Falls gives me a National Park vibe, so I chose my favorite, Yellowstone which is mostly in Wyoming.

Copperdale seems to be in the rocky mountains, I placed it in Montana because of the old mining town description. Butte, Montana used to be a huge mining town.

Moonwood Mill reminds so much of the thick woods in the Pacific West somewhere Washington or Oregon.

Glimmerbrook I imagine is close to Moonwood Mill and the witches and the werewolves are always beefing.

Evergreen Harbor gives me a strong Pacific West port city like Vancouver (I know Vancouver is not in the US, but you get the drift).

Sulani reminds me so much of Hawaii, the beautiful beaches, volcanoes, and mountains and the culture portrayed by Sulanians.

South America

Selvadorara gives a strong Amazonian vibe so I placed it in Brazil.

Europe

Britchester because of Britchester uinversity reminds me of Universtiy of Oxford, or University of Cambridge so I placed it in the UK.

Henford-on-Bagley gives off a strong English country vibe so I placed it South Central England.

Windenburg gives off a German vibe because of the style of buildings placed in the world.

Forgotten Hollow I think of as somewhere in Transylvania so I placed it in Romania.

Tartosa is undoubtedly mediterranean so I placed it in Italy.

Asia

Tomarang with the tuk tuks and the tiger sanctuary reminds me of Indonesia.

Mt. Komorebi, my absolute favorte world, is Japan. I can't wait to visit someday.

P.S. Batuu is not included in my sims universe because it is in space, I don't anticipate my sims ever traveling there, but if I ever feel otherwise, I will include it in here.

sul sul everybody! here is a collection of what should be all world maps with empty lots (minus batuu i believe), plus a PSD file set up with all of the world maps in smart objects so that you can get right into sketching and planning! apartments are included. thank you to @srslysims for the Srsly Blank Save on curseforge! i made this for myself to start planning my own pack-inclusive save, but I thought it could be a useful resource to share! there is a folder that you can zip and download of all of the screenshot images alone if you would like to pick and choose them, or put them to another use elsewhere.

New Map & Shield/Crest

Today i unviel every single realm of 'The Great Imperial Nation' enjoy!

Surprise! Ive been working on a full in depth world map for my Royal save, ive had the world names and some of the royal familys that arent my main (windencrest royals) Family together for some time now, i have even picked out names and custom titles which i am so excited to share the sims when they are ready! i have also made another shield/crest however i am unsure what official designs i should go for, as i have a few unique ones now so suggestions would be much appreciated. anyways i hope youve enjoyed and keep an eye out for these regional names (and their royals) to be popping up left right and centre in the future! (i will mention not all regions have royals and not all of those regions are listed (technically correct) as kingdoms so theres more surprises to come!)

(ps also have entirely changed Old henford on bagley to 'Hensford on Bagsley' as i think it sounds more official and adding more lore to the save bagsley will be the medieval/latin name for the current day Barclay last name which is held by all birthright windencrest royals and their betrothed)

The Black family has moved to Willow Creek!

This is actually the official build by Doctor Ashley that comes with the Paranormal stuff pack (it's in your gallery). I ofc revamped it entirely to suit Aurora's style but also make it playable, as it had a few routing issues.

I imagine Guidry told Aurora about the house he used to live in before he died, and she managed to "inherit" the property somehow as it had been abandoned for many years.

I reworked the old version, add some details and change location of some cities.

Also we created a loading screen from it (it's really amazing!) and two options of main menu.

Melsie’s Sims 4 World Map

Many months ago (well before Growing Together came out) I teased a world map I was working on... but never actually ended up posting the finished product. I’ve FINALLY polished it, and even added where I thought San Sequoia might be located. 

I thought I’d share it with you guys and explain a bit how my map will end up influencing my gameplay.

Here we have a full map view with all of the different continents. Every grid square is 20 miles (32km).

Under the cut there will be a grid-less option too, as well as a written list of all the worlds in each continent. Feel free to use either map for your own gameplay or if you want to incorporate it in your challenge rules! Just make sure to give me credit and maybe link my Simblr! Thanks in advance and happy simming!

I use Kuttoe’s Home Regions mod and have configured the settings so that NPC sims can only show up in worlds that are located within their specific continent. Clearly some worlds will be a lot more populated than others, but I think it’ll still be a very interesting way to play!  

For my current legacy challenge (Vega Legacy) my active sims will have no specific rule as to where they can travel, but I will try to keep the traveling to a minimum: once a day if they stay on the same continent, and once a week for worlds that are on different continents. 

I previously intended for sims to pay 100 simoleons per grid square traveled (200 simoleons if it’s an ocean square) and will probably still do that eventually... once my legacy founder has funds to spare. 

I’m also providing a grid-less option for those of you that prefer a sleeker look and don’t care about the specific distance between places.

If anyone is curious about how my world is set up, here's a map!

I've based it on the The World Is Your Oyster map from DU!

I group most of my kingdom places based on what the world itself is based on, or general vibes for the older pack worlds which have no known theme.

Most of my sims you'll see at the moment are from Ruisseau du Saule (Willow Creek), Windenburg and SimNation. I really want an African inspired world so I can make Dakari like an actual place (at the moment I use Strangerville as a backdrop but it's just not right). And just an African world in general because there is nothing, literally nothing for Africa.

I tried to add as many past game worlds that had physical version or something more substantial than being mentioned a single time in text
