Aether Eyes — Alien Default Replacements and Contacts (Face Paint)

Thank you so much to everyone who provided feedback while I worked on these eyes! In the end I arrived at something I'm pretty happy with. The swirl texture is inspired by coronal mass ejections and stellar magnetic fields.

It's available in 2 versions: Aether-Star has cute little stars for catchlights, whereas Aether-Chor uses the same catchlights as my Petrichor Eyes. Only install one version in your game at a time!

Details:

Default replacement files require the "Get To Work" Expansion to work

Brand New Hand Painted Texture

Includes custom swatch thumbnails

No Specular

For Infant-Elder, All Genders

Should be tagged identically to EA eyes for genetics

Contacts Version: — Base Game Compatible (BGC) — Located in the Face Paint category — Includes both catchlight textures — Also includes a red swatch not found in the default replacements — Custom thumbnail — Disabled for random

Downloads:

NOTICE: Choose only one Default file for your game! Either the Aether-Star OR the Aether-Chor version. Having both packages in your mods folder will cause them to conflict and not work properly.

Aether-Star Swatches:

With cute little star catchlights, inspired by a suggestion from @arsenicandtealeaves!

Aether-Chor Swatches:

With regular catchlights matching the ones used in my Petrichor Eyes.

Bright colored fantasy eyes with black drawings. These come in a wide variety of colors, also including a couple multicolored options. This version have a black sclera to give it a more dark and mystic look and making the beautiful colors pop.

You can get these eyes as ; - Contacts (Found in facepaint & Eye Detail) - Non Defaults (Found in eye color) - Heterochromia (Found in left brow ring and only color one eye)

❗Please Note ❗ - Non Defaults will not override EA colors and you can have as many files you want of MY non default eyes without them overriding each other - Heterochromia eyes only color ONE EYE (!!) And they will conflict with most rings due to the texture placement and game limitations

Pupa - Default Eyes for TS4

thank u anon for the name idea! these eyes are not as maxis match as dynastid, probably closer in aesthetic to beetle eyes but with nicer colours imo and with more depth. i really wanted to include everyones feedback, with super dark brown/black’s, deep blues and saturated brighter colours. i think its a good balance of fun and realism :)

18 default EA swatches purple swatch is an albinism swatch maxis mix uses pixelore’s beautiful sclera
