I've updated both The Captain's Commode and The Naughtical Necessary to fix issues with their specular and normal maps. I also added the tuning from The Captain's Commode to The Naughtical Necessary to allow The Naughtical Necessary to be placed inside inventories. Coastal Part One - ts3 version

Okay we're going to kindly ignore my awful preview and focus only on the items lol

Was requested to convert the build items of this set and did as much as I could but some items were too similar to already existing cc or were too tall to be resized and fitted to ts3 walls. So as little gift I also added 4 items I did for myself a while ago hehe

Birdcage as Perch (Pets EP) V2

FLAWS: The birds fly in and out of the cage through the bars, they tend to float in the air when pecking at the invisible bell toy, filling the bird feed looks ridiculous, etc etc. Look, I just wanted a generic effing birdcage, okay? It’s janky AF, but I like it.

Bird Cage as Decor with Slots

As I said: I just wanted more birdcages. I just took the skull out of this cage, and added a decor slot inside. Found under Misc Decor, IIRC.

TS4 to TS3 EsmeraldaF Renaissance Piano as Late Night EP Keyboard (with slots)

I converted the TS4 piano here, but changed the art from Medieval to Renaissance, cuz I just love Botticelli & Michelangelo, sue me. (And I threw in Baroque Domenichino cuz unicorns.)

TS2 to TS3 Simnuts French Harpsicord as Late Night EP Piano

I converted the TS2 piano here, but changed the art to images I personally wanted. Recolorable.

TSB Round Screen as Television

I took TSB’s decorative screen and made it a TV, cuz I want one IRL. XD

The backs have the same variations as TSB, with a recolorable variation too.

The decorative Tassel Throw needs OMSPs to use with different dividers you have.

WM Tungsten Dining Chair RETEXTURED and CLEAR

This TS3 dining chair is one of my absolute favorites, but I desperately wanted a recolorable fur throw on it. So I added one, but I also decided to add different fur types, AND made the chair clear with recolorable glass, because why not.

TS4 to TS3 Geode Coffee Table

This is from one of Daer0n’s long gone sets that I converted from TS4, and made fully recolorable (then, of course, decided to also make as a dining table.)

2 PXL Ostrich Feather Stands as Decor + SV Angel Lighting LOWERED

I heavily modified the TS4 version, which was waaaay too high poly, and I didn’t like the stand, so I replaced it with one of EA’s generic lamp stand meshes. Then I decided I didn’t like the shape of the plumage on the original Ostrich Stand, and made a Part 2 Version rearranging the feathers more to my liking. And THEN, I took this original Ceiling Light and lowered it to be used with the MoveObjects On cheat, to create a very snazzy art deco look.

2 TS4 to TS3 EA Bar Globes as End Table (Open & Closed)

More art deco type stuff, I desperately wanted bar globes, but couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to make them functional. So instead I just settled for making End Tables. U_U (The drinks are these here.) Recolorable, etc.

Tiger Rug for Surfaces with Misc Slots

This mesh was modified from the Bioshock rug converted here -- I made it in different color variations, and of course changed the mesh, so that the Tiger Rug could sit “naturally” on top of most dining tables. I also added 3 extra decor slots.

2 Tiger Rugs for Couches (with slots)

“I live for furs! I worship furs!” So I decided to add even more fur stuff, and made these 2 Couch Throws based off the same tiger rug. They can be used on loveseats & sofas, but you’ll quickly notice that they’re only suited for particular couch shapes of particular back & arm heights. Sorryboutit.

The fringe is recolorable. I also added a fully recolorable version.

EA Mosaic Rug

I modified this from EA’s mosaic rug here, cuz I just wanted the stencils. EA’s Store version isn’t needed, no worries.

The zebra mesh I took this from was converted in TS2 & TS4 from some other game, IDER. Non-recolorable,

CherryBlossomSims is only archived for content at this point. Blooming Rosy became our next home, but sadly that site closed (see my pinned post for where to find all the amazing creators). This was Zeke's Apartment (guest bathroom) and from the June 2017 BAD (Be A Designer) contest hosted on CherryBlossomSims. I miss those!

IMPORTANT!!! Regarding the broken cc chairs and stools after the March 23, 2021 Patch for Bunkbeds...

⭐⭐⭐OrangeMittens has stated that Sims4Studio will create a batch fix for this issue OR that EA (as in the past) will create a rollback that changed the 64bit instance requirement to 32bit instance number requirement.

⭐⭐⭐Please share/reblog this post so that cc creators who are not aware can hold off on trying to clone and change the instance for their chairs. As OrangeMittens stated, this can cause issues (bottom picture):

“ I would also like to encourage people to wait at least a little while for EA to fix this or for a batch fix to be made. If everyone starts making their own instance numbers for every chair they have, there are going to be hundreds of chairs out there each with hundreds of different instance numbers. This could cause problems down the road if people start sharing their chair folders with friends who are also receiving chair folders from other people. The instance number is what the game uses to tell which object is what. Things that increase the chance that a player will have more than one item with a given instance number or versions of the same item with different instance numbers in their game should be avoided. If we do a batch fix we can hash the number in a fashion that ensures a specific chair gets the same number no matter who batch fixes it.”

⭐⭐⭐The reason this is a particular type of what I would call ‘nightmare’ problem is that all cc chairs/stools will need to be replaced - as in, remove them from your Mods folders, remove/replace with the fix in your builds and archives... It is a lot and waiting for EA or Sims4Studio to resolve this issue is the best bet... like when we waited for Andrew and the S4S team to provide a wonderful batch fix for cc doors, windows, arches, and other items using the old way of using DST image files for the transparency.

🥰🥰🥰Please be kind to each other and especially cc creators, the sims4studio team, and EA while this situation is worked through.

I am also considering starting the world over and making it a large world this time. that way not everything is so close together. but I dread the idea of having to do that.)

After the success of The Naughtical Necessary, I decided to create this, The Captain's Commode!

The Captain's Commode is another close stool that can be utilized by all your historical sims. Although it's still stuck in the open position and there's still a ghost doing all the work of cleaning it after each use, it can be positioned anywhere your sims need a toilet. In fact, the Captain's Commode is even more historical because it can be carried around in Sims's inventories for use anywhere! On progress or adventuring, the Captain's Commode is readily available. It also stores in storage chests.

The Captain's Commode is base game compatible and comes in 16 swatches. It's also available off-the-grid.

Do your historical sims need to take care of certain needs, but constantly find themselves being confronted with ahistoric methods of doing so? Sooth their minds with this: a close stool! From the middle ages to the dawn of indoor plumbing, close stools give sims a comfortable way to do their business. This particular model even comes with a ghostly servant who disposes of the contents with a whoosh. The hinges are stuck in the open position however, no matter that your sims try to close The Naughtical Necessary every time.

The Naughtical Necessary works Off the Grid and is base game compatible. It comes in 12 swatches.
