Updates about the posts of my various gameplays of the various The Sims??

I was trying to sort through my drafts on Tumblr and noticed I had over 40 drafts. I deleted the ones that I don't think I will publish anymore because I have made other similar posts that satisfy me more.

2t4 Uberhood Save (The Sims 4)

I have very old screenshots of my 2t4 uberhood which I really like aesthetically but which doesn't make sense to publish because I'm no longer playing with that save and I don't know if I'll play with it again. So I don't know whether to delete them or publish them anyway...

Uberhood 2024 (The Sims 2)

What happened to my 2021 uberhood? As I already explained in an old post, I decided to start a new uberhood because I don't like how I decided to do many things and how I handled many stories.

Furthermore, I had no longer taken screenshots (I think I had lost the desire to take screenshots because it was a complicated period, perhaps my paternal grandfather had died at that times?) I also recently discovered that the game had replaced my clean neighborhoods with vanilla ones, so I was playing on dity templates, oops (The main neighborhood and the subhoods were obviously the clean ones, but the rest of the other neighborhoods and the stealth hoods were not)

So... when I feel like it I'll make a new uberhood, but beyond this save I'll also play Paraiso En Las Rocas by LordCrumps, the ALT Uberhood with Dreadpirate's ALT neighborhoods and the Early Uberhood (Early PV & Early ST by Gutosimmer with my Early VV) ...and yes, my BACC

Store World Challenge !The Sims 3)

I have lots of screenshots in the drafts, but I'm currently at war with this save because the challenge sim is almost dying of old age, the heir is already a young adult and I can't complete the first generation because I can't have 8 perfect plants at the same time, lol

I don't know what to do, because I practically lost the challenge. Furthermore, the period in which I was playing it was the period of panic for the malicious file in Gshade, I couldn't make Reshade work on TS3 due to a conflict with LD's shaders (now I've solved it) so I took all the screenshots with filters from Nvidia Overlay...

And even in this case I stopped taking screenshots because I wanted to see if I could recover and win the first generation but I think I won't be able to.

All the children on my sim are now grown up and I don't have all the screenshots of the various age stages, sigh

Not So Berry Challenge (The Sims 3)

Well...I don't know whether to laugh or cry here. During the orange generation I didn't take screenshots because if you remember it was the period in which my paternal grandfather died. But I did them later... only I realized that the bordeless didn't work for all that time and ALL the screenshots came out dark... so now I have to see which screenshots are recoverable and I can upload 💀 Just know that all the peach generation sims are grown up now (two young adults and two teenagers)

I took some photos while I was testing the lighting mods in game, so maybe I can publish them now before uploading what I managed to recover from the bad screenshots...

T: Worst Sims Experience When I was playing TS3 and why I stopped playing TS3 since I’m still very salty: I worked very hard on my world SATA and my hard drive a few years later with all my hard work on it and all my saves took a massive shit and I. Lost. Everything. Absolutely devastated. By then I also had a world that was no longer available: St Claire and Evansdale County - GONE too and I couldn’t redownload them for a long ass time. STILL. MAD. It’s been 5 years, idgaf. I don’t have one for TS2 tho :D TS2 be my pride and joy even tho its a butt sometimes.

Last replies before I move to my dorm tomorrow! Prague, here I come. 

I’m in this weird state of freaking out and being calm at the same time. It’s hard to explain. It’s very different from how I felt the day before starting high school, I remember crying about how badly I don’t want to go there. As for today, I’m actually looking forward to the classes. Especially the history ones. Oh my god, and I’ll see my new friends again on Thursday! Maybe even tomorrow, but I’m not counting on that. I’m so exciteeeeed.

I don’t think I can give you any updates on my sims saves at the moment. I played a bit of Roses (finally!), a bit of my Realm of Magic save, a little bit of NSB...but mostly I just recoloured stuff. I’ll release it for simblreen I think, even though it’s not Halloween themed at all. For one of the tops I’ve even taken the preview pictures and the only “spooky” thing about them is that they were taken in Forgotten Hollow. But oh well. I mean, at least you’ll be able to use my simblreen treats all year!

Something I had to do in TS3 when I attempted something like this was remove almost EVERYTHING that was fun to get them to socialize at ALL. Because they would rather do something fun than talk. Before that, I would manually tank their social so they would have a NEED to talk. Yeah, it's kind of cheaty but, jeeeeesh.

Here’s a tiny spoiler: I moved the whole BC household to Twinbrook, which is most definitely smaller than St Claire (and, being an EA world, it has to be somewhat optimalized to run on all PCs I believe)...and suddenly my high free will is working, there are interactions between the sims...I love that! Wish I had realized that earlier though, it could’ve made the BC more interesting. Oh well, it was a learning experience. I might do another BC in the future. Keyword might. It definitely won’t happen next month.

that sounds horrifying. my university is so small that some courses are self study cause it's very possible you're the only one taking it (love that). i'm taking a course in chinese though, and we're over 40 ppl on the course and it's kinda terrifying.

I’m going to the oldest and I think the biggest university in my country, so yeah, so far quite a lot of my experiences have been terrifying because there’s just SO MANY PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. I signed up for an optional class today though, and so far there’s six of us. But for the other ones, there’s about 20-40 students in every group, and then there’s one lecture where there’ll be 250 students. It IS scary.

It was expectable... Especially from such sim. I actually feel sorry for her - she isn't that lucky so far... Except for winning a challenge but it didn't save her from a further failure...

I felt so bad when I rolled the dice and had to pick this interaction. But also, I was curious. Maybe it would work out. Well, it didn’t, and then I felt twice as bad.

Gen 6 of the Roses was pretty fun, and I especially liked Lydia (even before I got to make a spouse for her)

Ahh...I really, really want to love gen 6 as much as I love gen 4. If anything, the storylines (especially Regan’s) are so much better than anything og gen 4, and I’m proud of them. But I guess it’s kind of like dating a new person while still missing your ex. You love them but you miss what you had before. Which totally makes sense coming from a person with zero dating experience.

SIMBLR GAMEPLAY STYLE EVOLUTION CHALLENGE (TS2,TS3,TS4) 

I was tagged by @thatcurioussimmer to do this tag. TS4: Then - July 2014 - Caleb   This was the CAS demo. Caleb was one of the first sims that I ever made. I loved this redheaded, awkward, skinny sim then, but I didn’t know how TS4 would be and if I would play with him.   My style was CC-free, because I didn’t have any choice lol! Now - June 2018 - Caleb (and family)   Caleb found himself finally escaping the CAS Bin last year, after several minor makeovers and a few different shades of pale. He eventually had a custom shade of skin made for him and found his way out of the bin and into the heart of Valentina. He is in his forties now (and lost his skinny frama through a lot of working out) and is the father of three children and grandfather of one.   My style is more or less Maxis match, with the addition of more detailed eyebrows, teeth, body hair and genetics. I’m on track to be as much of a CC hoarder as I am in TS3. TS3: Then - July 2012 - Kenya   I know that I have photos further back, but I can’t find them!! Kenya was one of my St Claire sims. She lives with her boyfriend Niels and was very much a hippy, easy-going sim.    This was when I started to get into in-game photoshoots, but my style as a little shaky and my graphics left a lot to be desired. My style was very Maxis Match and I didn’t use many sliders or custom genetics. Now - April 2018 - Eshu   Eshu is an alien sim who was made as a spouse for an alien abduction offspring legacy spare. He never quite made it out of the bin though and he has been used for various photoshoots.   My style is right on the fence between Maxis Match and Uncanny Valley. I use more realistic genetics now and have over four hundred sliders. I draw the line at MD meshes (they look gorgeous in other games, they’re just not for me) and Crispy Toasted Babies.

TS2: Then - 2007-8 - Chris   Chris was a story sim that I was super invested in to the point that it delayed my full move over to TS3. He now lives in a TS3 save.   My style was kind of Maxis Match, but with kind of semi MM skins. No photoskinning though, I was quite clear about that even then! Now - May 2017 - Dana   Dana is a model made to try out new sliders. I attempted to take some photos and then realised that I forgot how to use the PoseBox properly.   My style is pretty much the same as it was in 2007-8, but with sliders and a little bit of TS3 and TS4 CC converted.

Thank you, dear. I am trying to feel what Alvar feels. Sometimes it’s easier, like anguish -- that’s how I often feel when writing, too. And worse, when publishing it.

Also, is Alvar a Germanic name? Not sure I've heard it before.

I’m not sure what I was thinking of when I named him. I might have, just then, watched a documentary on Alvar Aalto, the Finnish architect and designer I like so much. 

Because of your question I googled Alvar, and HERE is to the name origin, but it also denotes “a biological environment based on a limestone plain with thin or no soil and, as a result, sparse grassland vegetation.”

And the “alvars, also spelt as alwars or azhwars (āḻvārkaḷ [aːɻʋaːr], ‘those immersed in god’) were Tamil poet-saints of South India who espoused bhakti (devotion) to the Hindu Supreme god Vishnu or his avatar Krishna in their songs of longing, ecstasy and service.”

I have no idea how you made this look so perfect! Did you use 2 sims?

One of the good thinks EA has given us are mirrors. Some of the frames are really pretty, and the reflection is just perfect... So this is just a reflection, not two sims. I love playing with mirror scenes in my stories. I started with the first Ep of The Last Canvas.

What do you mean? He is before a mirror now, though not having looked at himself in one for a while, and he is referring to the times when there were no mirrors in the Buddhist monastery in Sikkim, and the monastery we’ll visit with him in the next posts...

And I’ll have to research the phantom leg pain and attribute it to Alvar at some point, you’re right!

I know the games just by name. The only game I ever played was  Myst Online: Uru Live, years after it was released, when nobody else was playing it any more, and there hardly were other gamers online...

I love playing with light in Sims 3, though it is often so frustrating, especially outdoors, and it has to be edited on PS later...

As for the set, this is my version of St Gall Monastery on MTS. I had to take it back in time at least a hundred years, so that it would suit LoSSS.... But yes, it is a beautiful lot, isn’t it?!

Finally, I get back to comment...What always fascinates me when seeing your Alvar, are the many faces you gave to him. A greek god, the lord, the soldier and now in his bedroom...he always seems like a completely new person. It is so lovely when a sim could change that much

Alvar still has a very well defined body. I know he couldn't see it himself...but there is still some beauty (thanks to the sim-maker) Do you use some sliders to shape your male sims' bodies?

I won’t say that I have all the sliders one could possibly have for TS3, but yes, I do have many... 

There was a problem when I created Alvar, setting the values for the sliders, so he has disproportionally big shoulders and a gigantic head --- but I realized it, in comparison to the other characters, far too late and way into the story, so he’ll have to remain looking weird :(

No mirrors...reminds me of beauty and the beast. But I like his piercing blue eyes. You certainly used make-up on his face. I do this with almost all of my sims. Makeup creates unique effects.

I didn’t think of that story! Yes, there is make up on Alvar’s face, though not so much, since his body is already too heavy with tattoos suggesting what should be shelling scars.

Alvar might not the be the best, bravest soldier, and even a bit naive in relation to dealing with other people, having always been so sheltered... But he is intelligent, and very observant. He shall still proof his value!
