          4t3 Conversion of ICFB's Summer of '59 Set

A 4t3 conversion of a Barbie inspired set for all your sims, made originally by IceCreamForBreakfast, now to ts3!

As a preparation for the (surely iconic) Barbie movie releasing on the next couple of weeks, I decided to convert this super cute set which I downloaded as soon as I saw on my dashboard! Hope you like it! Enjoy! <3

Known Problems:

There are two seams on the bikini top that I have no idea how to fix. They don't show up on Blender, Milkshape, TSRW, and not even CAS. just in-game, which is so annoying. I hope they don't bother you!

If you find any more problems, please let me know!

LIGHTING GLITCHES ONLY APPEAR ON CAS!

Note that teens and elders have neck gaps. This is sadly the price for having them available! For teens, try using this and this slider by gruesim!

NOTES (PLEASE READ):

This set is quite low poly, since with most clothes I baked the textures onto sims' bodies with thornowl's technique, and that's the lowest possible polycount for clothes. The accs are also low poly. The only meshed clothes are Ken's shirt and both rompers, which are also pretty low. The children's swimsuit's skirt is really low poly so I don't even consider it, and the hairs are also gameplay friendly, they're about 6K.

Some outfits (and the sunglasses) have some beachy and tropical vibes presets for you to choose from, including the romper's flamingo one and the children's swimsuit leafs one (main presets for both)! Of course, all of them have recolorable presets as well! I hope you like them!

The hat has three versions: one for adults, one for children and one for toddlers. They're all unissex and hat-slider compatible! I adapted the adults' version to the Brigitte hair, so it'll fit nicely without having to move the sliders!

The sunglasses have two versions: a regular one, that works just like usual glasses, and one that works like a hat, which means you can move with the hat slider. As seen on the preview, I already adapted it to the Barb hair, but you can use it on whatever hair you want with no problem!

hey johzi :) i have a question if you'd like to answer. so i have an asus laptop with 4gb ram and i was thinking of buying an 8gb external ram. i have into the future pack but the thing is, i didn't purchase it; i pirated downloaded fitgirl's deluxe pack. so i have all the worlds (moonlight falls, riverview, twinbrook etc) and some more therefore i have all the clothes and objects and just all the store items as well. so when i'm in CAS i wait for a few minutes for clothes/shoes/accs to fully load. also in-game interactions are not as fast as well. so i wanted to ask you just how much your 8gb external made an impact on the game performance? they say 8gb could skyrocket your pc but i can't be sure. but i'm also rlly tired of waiting. i just want everything to load in 0.5 seconds lol.

hiii~ i’m not sure if whatever i say will be of any help, but i’ll answer anyway haha :)

i did notice a slight difference in how fast my game ran after i upgraded to 8gb ram. it’s definitely much faster than before, but even if you upgrade, you should still expect some lag and impatient moments considering how old the game is, which is definitely frustrating unless you got crazy good specs :// sometimes stuff loads in 0.5 secs, sometimes it doesn’t. 

i also feel like it didn’t make such a huge impact until i did some other manual fixes to the game such as adding nraas mods or changes to the files in the ts3 bin and all that to help with lag. what i did to make my game faster was i follow this steam guide (highly recommended), i use cc magic to sort out cc (tutorial --- recently started using this and i HIGHLY recommend), and i installed the smooth patch mod by @lazyduchess! :)

regarding the CAS part, use compact mode from master controller to make clothes/shoes/accessories in CAS load much much faster. here’s a tutorial!

Get Famous Victorian Dress YA/F - 4t3 conversion

OK, this is not a retexture of @jooj45converts‘ dress! While it was originally planned to be it, I ended up wanting to have a larger texture, a 4-channel mask, a crisper multiplier... and it ended up easier to reconvert from the original Get Famous dress again. Something to distract my mind while my mother is intubated... :(

In the end the only thing I took from Jooj’s conversion was the bone and morph reference :~

All right, this time there’s no weird sunshadow trickery! The only issues this dress has are a neck seam in the top of the neck - I did fix it by hand, but I had to recalculate vertices in TSRW or else the normals would look AWFUL, and a seam on the bottom of the neck, result of adjusting a TS4 dress to a TS3 body. They’re not very noticeable, the bottom one EVEN LESS, but I gotta warn you about it.

I just can’t convert clothing without workarounds :P

Comes with all EA presets + an extra one to show off the pattern tiling and the channels. And yeah, I know the open collar isn’t period AT ALL, but... it’s a movie costume in TS4, so it’s understandable.

For in-game pics of most of this stuff, just consult my sims 3 Critical Role tag. All of it is pretty self explanatory, but I wanted to explain one thing or two, and point out exactly what FLAWS are present:

ASHTON

The Crystal Hair [BETA] was one of the hardest pieces of CC I've ever messed around with.

FLAWS: The mesh sits HELLA awkward on the head, and the clipping/floating through the skull in some areas is bad on some head shapes. Also, a weird texture glitch on the skull might randomly pop up in CAS, not Live Mode, and IDKY. *sigh* This is what I get for trying something different.

The Cut Crystal as Head ACC & DA2 Persuasion Maul as ACC (and Misc Decor) all have recolorable variations with a clear & opaque texture. The Nails as Earrings are self explanatory. The Cracked Rock or Glass BODY & FACE Tatts as usual REQUIRE CmarNYC's tatt mod at MTS.

CHETNEY

I made the ATS3 Female Beanie Unisex and tweaked the textures a bit. The CR3 Chetney INSP RTA Tattoo is a regular EA tattoo.

FLAWS: For the life of me, I CANNOT fix the janky bone joints under the armpits on the Blacksmith Outfit. So...avert your eyes (or just use the regular Blacksmith Outfit with the sleeves). U_U

DORIAN

I was surprised by how well the Chest & Boot Wing ACCs came out, considering those were my own meshes (for once).

For the Dragon Valley Top I just retextured Danjaley's edit by tweaking the RGBY mask a bit. It's not great, but oh well. Neither is the Cape Accessory.

FEARNE

The Horns ACC is a mashup of X X X. The Stave ACC is a mashup of X X and I made the acorn glow with the ghost/plumbbot shader. IIRC the Horns and Ears ACCs have different sliders, one for the Hat Slider and one for Glasses sliders, but if I didn't do that...oops?

The Faun Outfit is a frankenmesh of the TSM corset dress @aprilrainsimblr converted and the TW3 Succubus outfit converted here. I added a few different RGB control variations as I was playing around with different options.

IMOGEN

I took the Shanty Top converted here and lowered the vest mesh as it sat too high on sims' waists, lightened the too-dark Multiplier, and made the sleeves sheer. The Suspenders and Skirt both REQUIRE the SN EP for the fat/fit morphs.

LAUDNA

I made @natalia-auditore's different accessory Bloody Hands as Body Tatts that REQUIRE CmarNYC's tatt mod at MTS, to reduce the amount of layered ACCs that cause texture blurring.

The Stylus Hair is an edit I did of Gramsims' Stylus hair (X), to add Laudna's signature white streak, fix the joints, and lower the polys a bit (it's still high though). (I used a hairline makeup for the baby hairs--IDER which one.) The Top is an edit from one of EA's, tweaking the waist mesh and changing the RBGY mask & overlays. I couldn't decide if I liked the Hammer or Pickaxe ACC, so I just threw in both.

Oryn

The Left Pauldron ACC is just the left side separated from the Dragon Valley top (Camkitty's mesh edit made my life easier), same with the Mitrasi Wrist Flower ACC.

TASSEL NECKLACE

This is an oooold frankenmesh I made for my BrennaIvy Modern Male Project INSP post here. REQUIRES SUPERNATURAL EP, as it uses fit/fat morphs.

LEGGINGS ACC

This is a retexture of NyGirl’s Laced Up Legging ACC, with Simblreen Patches Gradients. Has different variations, found under Socks.

TATTS & MAKEUP

The Skull Body Tattoos (FULL) is a body tattoo that REQUIRES CmarNYC’s Tattoo Mod. They’re the ones used by my C2077!Agron; they’re poor quality, but I decided to share it with y’all cuz YOLO. .

There are 2 different variations, both fully recolorable.

I wanted the EA SN Face Veins as BLUSH not costume makeup, so that’s pretty self-explanatory.

OUIJA

The Earrings and Necklaces all unfortunately blur with layered accessories. I only made the necklaces for Y/A - AM sims, with a Basegame version with no fit/fat morphs, and a SUPERNATURAL EP version with fit/fat morphs.

HATS

There are 3 different Dark Souls Witch Hat conversions, the Hat/Veil combined, just the Veil, and just the Hat. All found under Glasses, Unisex & hat slider compatible. 

The veils on both versions have fully recoolorable variations with solid and see-thru cloth. The Hat-only version has no veil.

The OverHit Melissa Witch Hat ACC gets pretty blurry when layering accessories with Master Controller.

The Stackable Plate is the same as the one I uploaded here, just with TS2 to TS3 textures, and more slots. Found under Misc Decor/Surfaces I think.

The TS2 to TS3 Witches Cup is kinda high poly, so use with moderation. The original was crazy high, so I had to use far less witches. The drink inside has different color variations, the rest is fully recolorable. Found under Misc Decor.

The Maple Leaf as WA EP Edible Morsel REQUIRES WORLD ADVENTURES (I think? I used the script.)

Comes in 3 non-recolorable variations. Found under Misc Appliances. Sorry I forgot to take better pics of my sims eating them. U_U (That pine cone plate is Sandy’s, and is not included!)

REQUIRES THE LATE NIGHT EP. Recolorable, for Y/A - AM men, Everyday - Outerwear. Comes in several variations, to match the female version made by ForeverSimmers here.

Pets EP Miniset

I saw this TS4 Candy Bucket ACC and NEEDED it. Comes in recolorable variations with/without the jack-o-lantern face and candy textures.

The Bat Collar ACC is thanks to @mspoodle1‘s adorable version for cats, which I resized for big dogs.<3 <3

The thing that sucks is that you can’t layer both ACCs with Master Controller without the textures bleeding over each other cuz of the wretched UV Map. :(

Plants Decor

Here’s edits to old CC -- some VERY old. I made my old EA Column Ivy here fully recolorable. Also, I took the vines from the GEN EP trellis arbor I edited here, and made the EA Arbor Vines separate & fully recolorable.

I edited EA’s 3 Pumpkins here to have each one be recolorable. I added fall colors to the leaves on the potted version, and made a separate version unpotted.

I fixed Ladesire’s Flock of Crows, to add a phong alpha shader for the transparency textures to show up correctly; and I made them recolorable. Forgot to take pics, but you can kinda see where I used them here -- yes, it took me this long to share them.

I saw these TS2/4 to TS3 Wreaths and wanted them. Found under wall art. Non-recolorable.

TS4 to TS3 Wall Art & Signs

The Chalkboard & Happy Fall Sign are from the same converter as the Wreaths above. Both Signs are fully recolorable, and found under Lawn Ornaments.

The Halloween Wall Decals I ripped from this decor Fridge, LOL. XD Non-recolorable.

The Fireplace Garlands and Wall Garlands have recolorable variations -- I added the leafy versions but the batty version’s from here.  

TS4 to TS3 Rugs

The Autumn and Gold rugs are cuz I desperately needed some 3x3 seasonal rugs and couldn’t for the life of me find any. So here’s a butt-ton from here & here.

This next rug is actually a Floor Light, based on @deniisu-sims​‘ Realm of Magic Rug conversion here, to add the glowing component. Just plop this one down on top of the regular rug, and it’s a perfect fit! Recolorable.

TS4 to TS3 Witch Hats Miniset

I took these & these TS4 Hats and mushed them together. Unisex, recolorable, hat slider compatible. Everyday - Outerwear. Found under Earrings I think.

TS3 - Decor wips

So much luggage...

I sometimes get a kick out of spending hours in Blender and shaping virtual objects. 

So I made some stuff.

Also, I learned how to place slots and now I’m going extreme with them B-)

Three variants for the luggage (open-2 slots / closed-1 slot / standing-2 slots) and two for the folded clothes (also have 1 slot).

Lingerie bags (in case it’s not clear...because I sometimes suck at meshing)

Not the best placement inside the luggage...:(

Creative deco set (2 picture frames-so far) & Creative “Flowery” Shelves (7 slots, including top of shelf)

Sake Set (individual items) & Bamboo Tray (the sake set will probably also become accessories, depending on a scene in my story). The tray has 5 slots.

Coffee Set - empty and filled cup, plate (has 1 slot). 

These are already accessories, but both acc and object versions need more work. Actually, everything needs a little fix here and there.

I’ll probably get to finish them sometime soon. I just stumbled upon the pics in my Screenshots folder and wanted to brag :)))

TBH the seams on the shoulders/neck were not great, and I did what I could to fix them, but I suck at understanding UV maps, so just use long hair to cover it up, LOL.
