Pt. 2- Default Vampire Skins + Hungry State

I really wanted a super subtle vampire skin for my game, one of those where you really wouldn't know why you feel off about someone, there's just something a bit wrong. So the default is some light eyebags and shadowing on the hands, as though they don't quite have a healthy circulation, and of course some little crittery teeth.

When they get hungry though... that's the real change. Eyes dilate and become bloodshot, face becomes gaunt and dark veins spread. The hands and feet look almost frostbitten.

Again, as with my neck bites, this is going to be far more subtle on darker skin. But I wanted to reduce the amount of pixelization as much as possible, and this was what I could manage.

This was hard based on @magpieplayssims default This Corrosion. It's such a gorgeous skin, I just adjusted for my needs.

This also requires @episims Vampires Show Hunger mod. For the hungry state anway. I've included it for ease (cause it requires my texture version), but go go go show the love to them for their incredible work! They also explain how the mod works in that post, so recommend you check it out eitherway to understand what's happening.

The desert might seem like an unusual choice of hideout for a vampire, but who's going to come around looking for her there? Certainly not other vampires.

Huge thank you to @charsimsalot for letting me play around with their excellent Virginya! She is an 1800s vampire from the PSP Sims 2 game living in Deadtree. They've been developing her to bring her into the Sims 4 timeline and she's turning out to be a very interesting character! There are plenty of vampires in the canon who fought alongside Vlad - it's very fun to have a deserter who just noped out of all that nonsense.

Tried my best to recreate the look of the Mojave desert at sunset. This desolate, majestic wasteland is the inspiration for many Sims worlds, including Strangerville and Deadtree, and for the last few years it has been my home. It is a horrible place to live - the desert is harsh and unforgiving and vehemently opposed to life, but it is beautiful.

Digi's July2020 Eyes 3 Defaults

I still really love these eyes by Digi. I defaulted these months ago, but I'm only now releasing them for posterity. The colours referenced in the post refers to custom eyes in the original set.

Dark Brown: Colour 44

Light Blue: Mix between colours 19 and 20

Dark Blue: Darkened version of colour 21

Grey: Colour 5

Green: More saturated colour 29

Alien: Colour 8 with a black sclera

But wait, there's more !

I also included a vampire default with four options. Your vampires won't change their skintone to be that blue-gray and will only get new eyes. SELECT ONE !!

Vampirism: Colour 47 (Traditional)

Porphyric Hemophilia: Colour 70 hue-shifted to red (Inspired by Oblivion)

Sanguinare Vampiris: Mix between colours 48 and 49 with a dark grey sclera (Inspired by Skyrim)

Dhaunayne Aundae: Colour 69 without iris (Inspired by Morrowind)

Noxiphilic Sanguivoria: Colour 2 with a bloodshot sclera (Inspired by Stage 4 Vampirism in ESO; my personal favourite)

This upload is inspired by one of my favorite vampire tv shows, What We Do in the Shadows. (It was supposed to be my Simblreen gift this year, but I'm hella late cuz IRL suuuuuucks...blood. 😅)

The DL folder includes 4 zip files:

It's Always Halloween Treats! cause I'm totally not late

Pt. 1- Vampire/Beast bite: Came across remisims Extracted Maxis Textures and thought the hickeys would be a great base to work from for a vampire bite. Discovered the mapping for sim necks is insane. And then I went overboard hand painting subtle bruising and veins....

These babies are under Full face Makeup, and layerable with other makeup, and come in three flavors- Light, Medium, and Dark. I've tried them on quite a few of the skins I have (pictured on my default set) and found they worked on just about everyone. Obviously the lighter bites are going to look funky on darker skins, and visa versa, and on really dark skin they'll not stand out as much, and on really light skin... you get it.

I also made these to work with my vampires, the default of which is Pt.2!

**Another thing to note is that male frame necks are mapped different than female frames. I did the best I could but they do look a bit different. Example down below with the other bodyshop pics beyond the cut.

omg show off your historic ts4 game plsss. i always wanna get into that but it seems like so much work

yeah it's a huge pain in the ass, so I never go all in like some people do. I really want to try doing something more 'medieval' and involved, but I know I'd be pissed off by the game's built in unavoidable modern features so for now I just stick to more recent decades lol. I also don't spend a lot of time renovating a whole neighbourhood, I mostly just stick to one household and whenever any sim from the outside comes near I kidnap them, give them a period-fitting makeover & set them out into the wild again.

I just started this new save so I don't have much to show for now; I'm doing a somewhat 70s play-through (anachronisms permitted because finding good CC for this period is impossible), with a big multigenerational family. Currently though we've only got a guy who keeps remarrying, his fourth wife who hates him, their six children, and all of their interpersonal drama.

Here's their house. It's been renovated and added to a few times over the years, but a lot of old bits remain (ignore that unfinished side I just noticed it lmaoo). I even got a custom picture of the ancestral sickos up in the living room.

The fourth wife, Sylvia, when she was younger (she married very young, which she regrets now) and newly moved in, and then after she had her second set of twins, poor woman.

The first set of twins of hers when they were young & then as teens, Yasmin and Danny. They used to b close but then grew apart when Dan started dating the gorl Yasmin is secretly in love with :^)

Mostly I just let everyone do what they will autonomously and sometimes intervene for more drama, but it's still early so nothing wild has happened yet (besides grandma dying in the livingroom).
