Talia "Ooh, I didn't know that!! And—oh my watcher, are those scales? That means you're-"

Irida "I'm a mersim, yep. Name's Irida Brine, it's a pleasure to meet you. Miss...?"

Talia "I'm Talia. Oh, I have a million questions! Do you grow a tail? Do you really live in a lake? Can you breathe underwater?"

Irida *chuckles* "I have a tail while submerged, but despite the scales, I'm a mammal. So breathing underwater won't do-"

Talia "Like dolphins? They only hold their breath, right?"

Irida "Just like them; all aquatic mammals have that in common. You're interested in biology?"

Talia "It's one of my favorite subjects! My grades might be even good enough to go study it. Ugh. I need to decide on the major, soon."

Irida "Ah, I can recommend biology. Though I'm quite biased, being a marine biologist myself."

Talia "Oh my watcher, that's so cool! Do you work in some fancy laboratory?? I've only been in our school's lab, and it's crappy."

Irida "If you wish to see it yourself, my lab happens to be in that trailer."

some time ago, i'd sent these old pics to a friend, who then told me to watch Severance... so i did.

i remember feeling anxious about doing so, bc it seemed like i'd get too attached to this show – the stills from it looked like my maladaptive daydreams projected onto the screen. but it turned out being not what i expected it to be (still great tho). yeah. & i did get engrossed in that world for a while lol.

Round 2, Shep 1 / 3

Summer has come to Veridia! Shep takes a break from tending her crops and her hives to visit the well for water and socializing, mostly socializing. I love her expressions.

Shep: No one wants to hear about that, Helenet.

The trip to the well quickly turns into a full-on day out on the town. NPC Bartender is horrified at these shenanigans in their bar mead hall.

Shep: Haha, wow, you're a lot more tolerable when I'm tipsy.

Elmet: Gee, thanks.

A positive conversation? Flirting?! Everything's coming up Milhouse Elmet!

Tipsy!Shep decides a trip to the bathhouse sounds like the best thing. She really needs her own tub. On the other hand, hauling and heating all that water by herself... nah.

But never mind about Shep, the sim we're supposedly following right now! Outside the bathhouse, there's an incident between Helenet and another local (aka random townie the game made so I don't remember his name)

Elmet: Hey, what's your problem? Are you drunk? Why would you do that?!

Helenet: Gytha, sweetie, come with me.

Gytha: But I want to watch the fight!

Helenet: NO ONE is FIGHTING while I'm here, got it?

Elmet: Ugh, fine.

Elmet: You alright?

Helenet: Yes, of course. I can take care of myself.

Elmet: I'm sure you can. Just, that was rude of him, and...

Helenet: I can take care of myself, but thank you for standing up for me.

Elmet: Sure. Anytime.

Never mind, he's back to normal.

Goth Rotation/Spring Year 1

Cassandra Goth has been struggling with her mother's death and all the mysteries surrounding it, with all her digging all signs point to a little town named Strangerville right outside Oasis Springs, she packed up her bags, said her goodbyes to her worried family and booked a long term stay at one of the only hotels in town. After talking to the strange dude at the curio shop she's been led to the library and now to an abandoned science facility what she finds in the front entrance is horrifying, her uncles remains...something horrible is truly happening here she needs to get through those sealed doors and find the truth. Playing with the goth family in @coolpuppy12 doodoo save! I had to take out 99% of my mods and all my cc recently and this save has made me fall in love with the vanilla game again <3

Morlanthia's conservative authorities had long ago enacted a law requiring city officials to put homeless teenagers and widows/widowers with children into mixed housing until the men settled down in life, the women remarried, and the single children grew up. Optimists called this place a community, pessimists a colony, but one thing was clear: no one was going to be nice to loners who could, at least in theory, light the fires of rebellion.

Pregnant Eva and her two daughters were moved into one of these houses. Bianca was still living there, waiting to come of age, and she began to help Eva with the children. Together they persuaded the soldiers to equip the nursery, put new beds, fix the broken plumbing, and they lived peacefully and quietly.

With Bianca they knew each other from their work at the scientific institute, which made communication more lively and cheerful.

Julia's sixth birthday crept up imperceptibly in such an atmosphere, and soon she was to go to school and learn that her father was a criminal, her mother was a psychopath, and all those who had come to Morlantia voluntarily were potential enemies of the Morlantian people who could not be let out of the country.

- Mom, is school going to be fun? - she asked Eva.

She pretended not to hear the question.

- Very fun, honey,” Bianca said, helping her friend out. - It's hilarious. You'll laugh till you cry at every recess.

She added, before the girl could hear the poisonous sarcasm:

- Let's go and read a book about a bear.

And after reading, Bianca skillfully curled the child's brown hair with wavy strands.

WHAT IS THIS?!

I'll tell you what this is. Complete burnout and lost interest in my favourite game led me to try something new. I have decided to install the premade neighborhoods Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville for the first time in over a decade. I haven't tried this since I was a teen in the late 2000s.

You heard that right! A decade! I usually only build and design my own hoods in this game, never actually play with the sims themselves.

That is about to change!

Loading up the iconic premade sims for the first time was daunting, exciting, new and fun! And I've decided to share my experience with you.

First is this introductory post on the what, where and why. Later, I'll post a few images and most exciting of all:

I've recorded my gameplay of my first playthrough of the premade sims. It is a hot mess but hopefully fun to watch. There is no commentary, only the actual gameplay, as I'm not a native english speaker and I doubt anyone wants awful voiceover that ruin the entire video.

I use the prima guide recommendations in the first video of each family and follow the order below. Just to familiarize and relearn how to play.

You're welcome to subscribe and watch along as I stumble around in live mode, try to figure out interactions and destroy relationships in Pleasantview.

My current plan is to go through each neighborhood, play the premade sims and have fun. Later, I might try the rags to riches challenge or something completely different. Join me on the simming journey and rediscover your own love for this old game alongside!

Pleasantview Let’s Play Ch. 1 Ep. 7

Something about the Burb Family. They are so pretty to look at. All the sims in this family are adorable. Jen is very money driven so she works while John is a stay-at-home-dad. He makes sure Jen is well taken care of to make up for all his misgivings and inability to resist the women who find him irresistible. Will John keep it in his pants is not even a question anymore we all know what is going to happen.

Sara "These are for research or something?"

Irida "Indeed. The aquariums have different salinity, vegetation, and sediment. The water of that lake..."

Sara "It's salty, right? Me and Felix used to practically live on the beach during summers."

Irida *hums* "It feels similar to the brackish water I've dove in the Northern Hemisphere, but not quite! The specimens are weird, too. I bring my findings here and see if they like any of the aquariums; it might help us track where they came from."

Sara "Gotcha... I think. Are the fishes a part of the experiment, too?"

Irida "They're my gardeners. They provide carbon dioxide for the plants and keep algae at bay... it might sound silly, but they keep me company, too."

Sara "Not silly at all! I mean, I guess you can't play fetch with them, but you're never really alone with animals, right?"

Irida "Mmm. I hear and understand the sounds they make. For them, I'm a predator, but they've gotten used to my presence. It's too bad I can't swim with them."

Sara "If we ever get a house of our own, I promise you can have as big an aquarium as you want-"

Sara "-I mean, uh, obviously we only moved to our place with Felix, and I like it there a lot!! And I've got the loan to pay, anyway. So only maybe in a very distant future, or..."

Irida *chuckles*

Sara "Shit, sorry. Ugh. That was way too soon. Just forget about it-"

Irida "You shouldn't promise me a big aquarium. Those are very expensive! I'd be happy with a roomy bathtub and a garden plant."

Sara "...I seriously can't move any time soon. Felix would kill me and then dig me up from the grave just to tell me again how badly I screwed him."

Irida "'Til it's more topical we can still dream, no?"
