Today’s episode of Timcast IRL — the YouTube show hosted by right-wing streamer Tim Pool — came to an abrupt end after Trump ally Laura Loomer called for executing Democrats. Loomer made the remarks in response to the former president’s conviction at his hush money trial. During the show, which was pulled from YouTube but preserved by a right-wing Rumble channel called “Bannon’s War Room,” Loomer ranted about her hatred for Trump’s political enemies. “Wake up. Stop being nice to these people,” she declared. “I don’t give a shit about these people, their livelihood, their well-being, the well-being of their families, their little kids. I don’t give a shit. And that’s the mentality that everybody needs to have now in this country, because it is war. It is war.”

During the May 31st edition of Timcast IRL, the YouTube livestream for the program was cut abruptly when extreme right-wing MAGA Cult guest Laura Loomer called for the execution of Democrats in the wake of the guilty verdict in the business records falsification trial.

i kind of wish the anti voting people wouldn’t dance around the idea of what happens after the election. Like okay, the democrats lose, you taught them a lesson (and fwiw, I do think its a legitimate message to send- the people are not happy with the actions and status quo of the DNC). Now What. Trump, the multiply indicted crime president who incited a violent mob upon the capitol, is now President. He has all the qualities you hate about Biden, AND more, except he and his administration have even less reason to be sensitive to the wishes of their democratic constituents. He is a puppet for the far right and white supremacists and christian nationalists. I really shouldn’t even have to go over this- we LIVED it already. Genuinely asking, is this what you want? Because frankly I do not think 4 more years of Trump is worth it over Biden. Your hands are not clean, this is the future you want to choose. I just don’t understand why.

I owe my Trump-supporting friends an apology. I’ve been critical of the Trump presidency and am still exhausted from the experience.

• fired the FBI director for investigating his ties to Russia

• bragged about firing the FBI director on TV

• took Vladimir Putin’s word over the US intelligence community

• diverted military funding to build his wall

• caused the longest government shutdown in US history

• called Black Lives Matter a “symbol of hate”

• lied nearly 40,000 times

• banned transgender people from serving in the military

• ejected reporters from the White House briefing room who asked tough questions

• vetoed the defense funding bill because it renamed military bases named for Confederate soldiers

• refused to release his tax returns

• increased the national debt by nearly $8 trillion

• had three of the highest annual trade deficits in U.S. history

• called veterans and soldiers who died in combat losers and suckers

• coddled the leader of Saudi Arabia after he ordered the execution and dismembering of a US-based journalist

it’s okay to be angry and hate this shit and you’re right about this but you NEED to vote. local and state laws are always included in the elections. and biden is bad but when you don’t vote people like trump get elected into office and do things like turn the supreme court into a republican majority and take away abortion rights and actively support multiple state level and national level candidates who’s platforms are based on hate, which influences hateful people to vote FOR those candidates.

voting CAN fix this but you all have to register and vote. and show up to every single election every time. you have to research your local and state candidates on TOP of the ones running for president. you have to vote in the primaries.

it’s not like you can go and get mad and storm government buildings to guillotine public officials. if you try you’ll be up against the US military. the only reason the last attack on the capitol was successful is because if they succeeded in killing democratic officials it would benefit the party that holds the most power. and right wing candidates love to spend trillions on the military (and let’s be real, even the democrats do but the republicans do it to a higher degree) so guess who the military is going to protect? guess who the military is going to target as the enemy? do you really think any number of everyday citizens you can try to rally would stand a chance?

biden won’t fix this. your rage and your feelings of helplessness won’t fix it either. voting WILL. you just fall for the propaganda being spread that it’s pointless to vote because persuading far left anti fascists to feel that way keeps them out of the polling lines.

“nothing you do will change the system so why bother voting? it will always be this way, so any candidate that has a platform you support will never win and won’t be able to make change anyways” is also facist propaganda. it’s just targeted towards the opposition instead.

NPR is a great resource to keep informed on political issues. despite what right wing racists claim, it’s fairly unbiased and goes into detail to get the full story without leaving parts out intentionally to turn their stories into propaganda. and please just fucking vote. don’t listen to anyone who tells you it’s pointless and won’t fix anything so you might as well not bother. they’re fucking stupid and they are literally spreading facist propaganda. revolution is great but educating yourself and the people around you is far far more effective than getting angry at people online.

right now it’s almost halfway through 2023, and 2024 is an election year in the US. I have started to see a growing proliferation of posts suggesting that there is no difference between the republican and democratic parties–the exact same kind of posts I saw an awful lot of before the last major election here. I am unfollowing folks who post or reblog these sort of posts, as I consider these posts to be fascist propaganda framed as leftist discourse, designed to suppress anti-fascist votes and voters.

Black American church leaders have accused Donald Trump of inciting “white terrorism” against people of colour and depicting churchgoers as “thugs” in a presidential election campaign ad.

They are calling for the advertisement’s removal from display and federal protection from any bias or threats it could provoke.

The video, named Meet Joe Biden’s Supporters, is online and includes violent scenes of burning buildings and police cars followed by footage of the Democratic presidential nominee kneeling in front of the altar at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) church alongside Black clergy members and community leaders in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.

The apparent voice of Vice-President Mike Pence is heard saying, “You won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America.” It then cuts to text that reads: “Stop Joe Biden and his rioters.”

The AME church on Monday denounced the ad, which they said links the church to violence and implies “that those who gathered there are ‘thugs’”. Meanwhile, the Bethel pastor Silvester Beaman told Religion News Service (RNS): “The ad is overtly racist and offensive on numerous levels.”

The statement, whose signatories include Bishop Michael L Mitchell, president of the AME council of bishops, and Bishop Frank Madison Reid III, chair of the church’s commission on social action, said: “This ad subtly incites white terrorism against people of colour and attacks the Black church and Black people for refusing to bow down to the idol called white supremacy.”

They demanded an “immediate apology” to Bethel AME church and to Beaman, for the ad to be removed from all networks and “federal protection” for the church, its staff and community.

They also called on the federal Departments of Justice and Homeland Security to launch an investigation into the “legality of the Trump campaign’s misrepresentation and Photoshopping images” and the “rhetoric as the language that might incite violence, and encourage racial tensions that lead to placing people of colour in harm’s way”.

Describing the ad, Reid told the Guardian: “In one word it was appalling, another word, divisive, and thirdly it was destructive.”

He added: “The insinuation that the church is a violent institution has brought attacks for centuries here in America against any Black person, male or female, any Black institution, that would dare stand up and speak up against white supremacist practices in the areas of culture, politics, spirituality and finances.”

Citing the recent killings in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where an armed, white agitator shot dead two men who were protesting against the police shooting of a Black man, and the shooting of two sheriff’s deputies in Los Angeles in an ambush at the weekend, Reid added: “There is a culture of violence that is being stirred up by those who have a political agenda.”

The statement, he said, is a warning “to alert the nation and to alert people of colour that this election and these shootings and this violence is all the hate that white supremacists’ hate has produced”.

While he said he is sure the church in Wilmington is “prepared” following the ad, that in the current climate they need “federal protection until this thing cools down”.

The statement said the FBI was investigating vandalism against “multiple” AME churches and that they “continue to cope” following the 2015 mass shooting at Mother Emanuel church in Charleston, South Carolina, by an avowed white supremacist.

“We are apprehensive that the history of burning and bombing Black churches is being stirred up by a political party that has lost its moral bearings. We are deeply concerned that the white supremacist lynchings, murders and assassinations of Black men and women, boys and girls in the past, is the plan for the present and future,” they said.

The Trump and Biden campaigns, the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security did not respond to the Guardian’s requests for comment.

The Trump campaign’s deputy national press secretary, Samantha Zager, has previously denied the ad was intended to imply that Black churches make America unsafe, reportedly saying: “That’s absurd and it’s shameful to even make the allegation.”

An FBI spokesperson said: “Per our usual policy, the FBI does not confirm or deny the existence of investigations. We do not have further comment.”

I hope every liberal who talked about Joe Biden being "harm reduction" *including* within the context of Palestine (as in "he couldn't be worse than Trump on Isr*el") is aware that Biden is literally being the most actively genocidal and warmongering a sitting US president could possibly be in this situation. He flew to Isr*el and hugged Bibi the day after he called Palestinians the "children of darkness" and pledged the US' full support for Isr*el's ongoing documented war crimes including a full ground invasion of Gaza (which can be interpreted as nothing other than ethnic cleansing) should it come to it. His approach has been so virulently genocidal and hateful that even members of *his own fucking State Department* are abandoning ship over it. "Genocide Joe" is his official presidential legacy now. Donald Trump, the man just elected to the Presidency of the United States has run explicitly on over a decade of anti-transgender rhetoric, promises of open violence, and harm to transgender well being, acceptance and safety in this country. Transgender Americans flatly refuse to be intimidated into silence. We have no doubt he will once again use his elected position to harm marginalized communities and incite violence. 

Under increasing federal persecution, we demand that state and local officials protect their trans residents, not with words or proclamations, but with legal protections and designated resources by enacting legislation, executive orders, and local ordinances that mandate explicit protections on the basis of gender identity and gender expression, our right to accurate legal documentation and lifesaving healthcare, and provide public assistance to transgender Americans forced to become internal refugees from states that refuse to guarantee these rights. 

History will judge your actions in the coming months. The world will judge you. We will judge you, both as transgender Americans and as The Trans Formations Project. Transgender Americans cannot afford to wait any longer. We are fighting for our very lives. You must too.

Former President Donald Trump has repeatedly interacted with the Truth Social account “Patriot4Life,” including thanking them and “retruthing” them. Patriot4Life has repeatedly promoted calls for political killings, including recently retruthing an image calling for Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz to be killed.  Trump has interacted with Patriot4Life ("@1776WeThePeople1776") in at least 70 instances on his social media platform. Those interactions include thanking the account for a pro-Trump message, retruthing the account’s call to jail lawmakers, retruthing what seemed to be an AI image of Trump praying with six fingers, promoting the account’s claim that “God has chosen” Trump, and retruthing the account’s attacks on Harris and Walz, including an image portraying Harris with a dung beetle body and a darkened face.  Trump also recently retruthed QAnon-themed posts from Patriot4Life. (Media Matters has documented how Trump has promoted QAnon material on Truth Social dozens of times.)   Any Trump follower that sees Trump’s repeat promotions and then visits that account would likely see exhortations for political violence against Trump’s opponents. 

Donald Trump has frequently retruthed an account calling violence against Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and other opponents of Trump, and several of which had contained QAnon themes.

it started because of four separate incidents: a woman made a facebook post that incidentally incited the rumor; there was a graphic video of a woman (in no way connected to haiti) from canton, ohio allegedly killing and eating a cat; a picture of a man from columbus, ohio carrying a dead goose down the street; and the death of an 11 year old boy after his school bus was crashed into by an immigrant from haiti.

first, erika lee was the woman who made a facebook post about her neighbor's missing cat. the neighbors, according to the post, thought that their haitian neighbors had something to do with the disappearance, but no proof to back it up. erika admits deep regret for her accidental spreading of hate towards the haitian immigrant community, and has since deleted the post.

second, the woman who alleged to have killed a cat with intentions to eat it was from canton, ohio, not springfield. she isn't a haitian immigrant, nor does she have any relation to haitian immigrants- she's always lived in canton.

third, the guy carrying the dead goose? the image was found to be taken in columbus ohio and posted on the columbus subreddit. the person who took the photo has admitted regret for posting it because of how its been weaponized against the haitian immigrant community. also we don't know whether or not the guy killed the goose or for what purpose, if so.

an 11 year old boy did die in a collision caused by a haitian immigrant crashing into a school bus. however, the boy's father has stated that he never allowed trump to politicize his son's death against immigrants.

my conclusion? it seems like the far right are trying to cartoonishly demonize the haitian people as a means of inciting fear into voters to get them to support trump. this comes from a place of extreme fascism and racism.

yeah, it's funny to look at what trump said in the debate with harris. "haha he thinks people are eating pet dogs in ohio! crazy, huh?" but let's take a step back to think about where these claims are coming from, and why he's making them. critical thinking, baby

On January 6, 2021, 2000 to 2500 protesters supporting then US President Donald Trump stormed into the US Capitol building located on Capitol Hill. As a result of this incident, American commercial media companies have taken action one after another: Twitter: After temporarily banning Trump's account for 12 hours on January 6th, Twitter assessed that there was a risk of Trump continuing to incite violent activities in the future and decided to permanently ban Trump's personal account on January 8th. Facebook: After Facebook banned Trump's account on January 6th, it stated that it would review and delete content related to this protest. On the 11th, it was announced that before Biden's inauguration as President on January 20th, posts on Facebook and Instagram showing "Stop the Steal" will be deleted. Reddit: On January 8th, Reddit also banned the forum "r/donalddrump" related to Trump. Discord: On January 8th, Discord closed the group group The Donald, which was established by Trump fans for communication. Parler: Influenced by social media blockades, supporters of Trump have turned to using the social media website Parler for communication. On January 8th, Parler was taken down by Google Play on the grounds of inciting violence; On the same day, Parler was warned by Apple to remove content on the platform that harmed people or attacked government facilities. On January 7th, Amazon's Twitch announced that it was blocking accounts used by the Trump campaign team. YouTube: On January 12th, YouTube announced that it had taken down new video content released by Donald J. Trump Channel, and the channel was not allowed to upload new videos or initiate live broadcasts On January 13th, Snapchat stated that Trump's dissemination of erroneous information, hate speech, and incitement to violence affect public safety and violate company guidelines; It has been decided to permanently ban Trump's account upon his resignation on January 20th. "Phew!" Charles tumbled back through the mirror, panting, Edwin not too far behind him, hands clinging to the sides of his jacket from behind. "That was a bit close for comfort, wasn't it?"

They had almost been caught, but had managed to slip away before things could get hairy. They had also made sure that their actions couldn't be tracked back to them.

"Charles, that might be the most egregious understatement that I have ever heard from you." Edwin didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Honestly, he was still shaken from the whole experience. They didn't often pay heed to foreign politics, let alone the politics of the living, but this had been necessary. There had been no way that either if them could sit still when they had caught wind of what was about to happen.

Sitting through Brexit and the Tory reign in England had been bad enough, goodness knows things were still pretty cocked up even without them in power (big messes to clear up and all that). But, sitting through a second Trump presidency when the only reason for it was some miserable concoction of sexism, racism, queerphobia, and thousands of people just refusing to vote?

Unconscionable.

Sure, what they had done was definitely illegal (oh it was so, so illegal), and probably questionable on some level, but it was clear as day that the pros of such a venture far, far outweighed the cons. If anything, this absolutely counted as a good deed.

Even if it did break some pretty strict rules about the dead tampering with the affairs of the living.

They would simply have to be on their best behaviour from now on.

It would be fine.

And what had they done exactly?

They had mirror hopped over to the US and simply enlisted some willing participants to fill in all of the blank ballots with votes. By the time they were done, it was just enough to tip the scales in a less devastatingly horrifying direction.

It was for the American citizens that would be thrust into suffering because of that awful man and his depraved followers, it was for the minorities from various walks of life who would face the potential of having to fear for their lives, due to the inciting of violence by emboldened right-wing extremists. For the people who were hated unduly, just for daring to exist.

And it was daring. It was an act of bravery and courage that deserved respect.

Both Charles and Edwin had lived through times where being different could get you killed. Existing had been illegal, frowned upon, hidden behind closed doors, punished with torture masquerading as therapy, shunned, and erased from the history books.

Never again.

Never like that.

Why did history always have the nastiest habit of repeating itself? Over and over and over again. Maybe hell was empty.

But they had done it, done what they had impulsively set out to to and they had succeeded. It was almost surreal.

And, perhaps most importantly, they hadn't done it alone.

They had gone to each state one by one and contacted as many ghosts as they could, gathering all those who had been unable to vote, who had their voices stolen from them, and for each ballot that was left blank, the ghost of an American citizen fought for the people they had been forced to leave behind.

A great deal of them had even moved on afterwards.

"Come on, mate. It's alright, it's over." Charles' warm voice cut through the noise in Edwin's mind. "Come and sit."

Charles put his hands over Edwin's (which were still situated at his waist, balled up in the fabric of his jacket). Gently, he eased his grip and moved to link their fingers together as he faced his best friend.

Immediately, a large amount of the tension drained from Edwin's body. It was as though a weight that had previously been crushing him, had life away from his shoulders in an instant. It had been a lot, but it was done and it was going to be okay.

He allowed Charles to lead him over to their little sofa by the wall. It was a familiar position, sitting side by side, hands joined in an act of mutual comfort and reassurance.

Neither of them said anything for a long while. They didn't really need to.

Charles leaned back against the sofa and wrapped an arm around Edwin, pulling him closer until his head was resting on Charles' shoulder. He didn't hesitate to run his fingers through Edwin's soft, dark hair.

He revelled for a moment, in his ability to express such affection. It was something so simple and yet, until they had left Port Townsend, it had been shut behind this unspoken boundary that neither of them had dared to cross.

They did a lot of things now that they hadn't dared to before, and far more things that they had already done, but that had the context rearranged.

It was kind of magical; being together in this new way. It almost felt like something that had been fated, something foretold, painted in the stars and woven into the fabric of every reality.

And yet, it felt so normal, so simple. It was like they were created to be a matched set, despite being from different eras in time. Like salt and pepper shakers, or a pair of shoes. Sure, maybe you could have one without the other but it was always preferable to have both.

Charles was prompted to recall the time when Crystal had compared them to one of her Internet jokes: "bonded pair, do not separate." or "items frequently bought together".

Despite falling easily into the romantic side of their developing relationship, it still surprised him a little bit when Edwin shifted to wrap his arms around him. If only he could go back and tell his past self that things could truly be this good, this sweet, this wonderful.

Charles used to question his goodness, used to fear becoming like the people who hurt him. But, with Edwin next to him, he couldn't find any shadow of fear or doubt left in his heart.

You know I felt so hopeful about the world after the UK General Election in July, that there were enough people rejecting conservatism to get a Labour government in. My own constituency went from Tory to Labour and I was SO HAPPY to think that maybe I wasn’t surrounded by people who hate minorities?? But it’s more ominous than that. The right-wing vote was split between the Conservatives and Reform, both pandering to extreme views and these viewpoints are becoming more and more common.

It should go without saying, and yet it clearly needs to be said; rhetoric is a dangerous thing.

Trump is a criminal. Trump incited violence on January 6th because he wouldn’t concede the results of the last election. Trump talks about putting guns in people’s faces and getting revenge on his enemies. Trump is a threat to healthcare. Trump is a threat to Palestine and the rest of the world. Trump says illegal immigrants are animals. Trump allowed a white comedian to mock Puerto Ricans at his rally. He made blunder after blunder in this campaign. Listen to him for a minute and it’s clear that he has no integrity or empathy or intelligence. And people STILL voted for him.

Trump will use this presidency to pardon himself of everything he’s been held accountable for. He’s beyond scrutiny. He can say what he wants and his supporters will back whatever he says like a fucking cult. That’s not democracy. And it baffles me that 51% (so far) of American voters can’t see that.
