Something very discouraging I keep seeing happen over and over again is how quick transfems of colour are thrown under the bus once they stop serving their purpose as a rethorical talking point. It really sucks witnessing supposedly leftist white transfems calling for solidarity between us but immediately turning around calling their brown sisters disruptive and self righteous when they rightfully point out something racist that was said.

I don't know it's just very alienating knowing brown trans women will be dropped and singled out as being pick me girls for transmisogynists the second they start talking about racism within the community. It's deeply frustrating.

When Juanaflippa died, she was the first. No one knew how to react. Charlie and Mariana expressed the rage, the denial, and it was a spectacle of roleplay followed up by a wacky trial made for laughs. At this point, the rest of the server were still getting used to their eggs, so only Charlie and Mariana felt that twinge of pain from losing an egg. But when you remember Juanaflippa, you remember an explosion. A marvel.

Next Trump died. Maxo made you feel heartbroken with the image of a grieving father wallowing in misery and self destruction. But it was all still early, and most people didn't even notice. Trump died from neglect. Dan never saw him after adoption day. The server didn't come together like they did Juanaflippa. It was all very quiet. To this day, not many people in the community could tell you anything about Maxo's kid. About how hard his father bargained for his life between the gods. About how he failed. Trump was a whisper in the wind that only his father and those who watched him could bother to hear.

Then Tilín. At this point, the server was becoming more accustomed to the eggs. They were becoming attached. When Tilín died, it was depressing in every sense of the word. Quackity was somber, he barely spoke a word when he heard what had happened. A grave was built for Tilín by others with a heavy heart. There was no spectacle, and this time most people were involved in some way. Luzu came on to meet Tilín, and had to deal with that grief of being told his child was dead, something so heavy on him that he shut down completely. In life and in death, Tilín was the embodiment of sadness.

Bobby. The first death since Tilín. The first death in a long time. Everything had changed for the server. The eggs are their babies, their world. Everyone gathered to grieve Bobby, because they're a community now unlike ever before. But its different this time, they aren't there to witness a marvel from a distance, or grieve in sympathy. Bobby was a celebration. Music and dancing and memories. Toasts and cheering his name until the final moment. And having a final clap in his name after. Bobby was life. Because they're all scared now, terrified for their children. But they know what to expect this time. They're ready. They knew not to watch Jaiden and Roier grieve from the sidelines, they knew not to turn their backs on the two, and they would be sad but by god would they be happy as well. The server celebrated Roier and Jaiden, celebrated Bobby, and accepted his death with his name being shouted into the sky.

urgent question: if you have any tips about recognizing undercover cops and ICE agents please write below. I never thought my very liberal state would come to this but I live in an area with a very high level of immigrants + multiple municipalities are basically de facto sanctuary cities since they have extra protections written into local law

I work at a healthcare facility that sees high numbers of new americans (with varying ‘legal’ statuses). there are reports from individuals within the local spanish speaking whatsapp channels that ICE is stopping people on their way to our healthcare facility. I can’t disclose too much without revealing highly identifying information about who I am and where I work, but higher management is not handling this good enough. everyone in my department (social work) is outraged and will do whatever it takes to protect the people we serve regardless of management. they deny it’s happening because it wasn’t happening when they went outside to look but that doesn’t mean shit- they’re 100% making rounds and patrolling. we are likely going to start taking walks during our limited breaks around the neighborhood to keep lookout. I’d much rather have a patient do telehealth or reschedule, or have them wait in my office an extra 20 minutes instead of possibly getting stopped by undercover agents. with the recent executive orders healthcare facilities aren’t even respected as sensitive locations discouraged from being raided anymore.

so yeah. any tips on spotting any undercover cops/ICE would be swell. funnily enough I have been thinking a lot about that one thing eliot said about undercover law enforcement and shoes. I’ve also been researching that already + rights and what to tell patients + everything else I can think of BUT thought I’d float it out here as well

Trump and Musk are totally gonna get rid of FDIC insurance which is the insurance the government puts for banks so you don’t lose your money if the bank closes or for whatever reason. It covers around 200,000 dollars there have been rumblings about him and Elon getting rid of it.

If they do expect run on banks to become a regular thing again. And possible economic collapse with it. Like this is one of the last things in place we still have to prevent a second Great Depression besides the security and exchange commission. Which honestly they’ll probably also get rid of

RANT INCOMING.

I have never been more afraid in my life. As a African immigrant with the majority of my family and friends at risk of deportation ( + me. ) - But the most scary part of it all is the fact that the country I come from gets billions of dollars from America in humanitarian aid the fact trump is pulling out of foreign aid makes me genuinely terrified and upset for my family back home that is already living in extreme poverty. It’s entirely unimaginable to me for their situation to get any worse all because this stupid orange fuck was too greedy to spare some cash from his overfilling pockets to those actually in need. Plus if I actually do get deported due to the lack of aid from the USA I’m not sure they could afford to support me especially considering the famine, drought and civil war going on. And I know I should try and have hope because it isn’t good for me mentally to be this anxious about everything going on and trust me I’m trying but it’s seeming pretty bleak right now- Just hope my community and others can push through this dark period of time- Anyway fuck trump.

And the radical US government isn't helping with its anti trans & homophobic sentiment.

The movie is going to air during the Trump presidential era. (which is scary.) That means a lot of homophobic comments will show up again. We gotta be prepared for that.

But let's keep up hope. Hope is all that's left in these trying times.

But I am just not hopeful at all for the future of the Sonic series that seemed welcoming of queer people at first.
