Does it count as working late when the work never ends? He doesn't say it aloud, not wanting to accidentally offend the other man, though on second thought he feels like he might relate.

Eraser Head wanders over to the edge of the rooftop, looking down over the city. He won't be slacking on patrol to have a conversation. But he still speaks over his shoulder to the detective.

"Should we talk work? Or will that taint your break?"

"I'm uh- Im here on personal business actually... So, drink up?" She snagged one, giving it a quick sniff before sipping on it. It was basically a hot s'mores drink- not bad!

"Not sure where to find four horses, but pulled apart by cars is close enough. Those rack things actually aren't terrible if the tension is fine...what's your opinion on blood eagle?"

He finds himself nodding along in agreement. "The worst punishments for anyone doing crime today. Go medieval. Why not? They need to stay indoors for a day."

      " excuse me - " her japanese was rusty , she hasn't spoken in it in a long time ; but it still sounds like it belonged with her voice , as she addressed the gentleman in the long coat , hoping he stops in his tracks .

   " could you give me directions , please ? i'm afraid i'm a bit lost . " a bit embarrassed , and while she is more often than not frowning , asahi tries to smile a little as to seem kinder .

feed me your finest foods / you want to consume love. literally. to cut it up with a knife, then stab it with your fork & eat it & let it gather in your belly. to know what it feels like inside of your mouth. & your grandmother always showed it best - food is love is food is love. this is emotion, but represented in a way you understand. a way that you can relate to &, again, consume. it is temporary, but essential. we eat to live, & then we love, but that part can get confusing. but we eat, we all eat. & you might not be able to say ' i love you ' in words, but if someone brings you a pie, you can cut yourself a slice & swallow it down & tell them that it tastes really good. you can make sure that they also share a slice. you can see them smile & know that they know that you know. that you did it right this time. i hope you know you're worth a love that exists for longer than the time it takes to eat something. you're worth the words, both said & heard.
