Some more potential thread wishlist items :

-Short and silly thread where Artair and another muse deal with a third entity that attempts to overtake Artair because he's easy to possess due to being a medium with damage to his soul. However, entity was not prepared for The Bullshit that is Artair's neglected chronically pained body, nor is he ready for Artair's 'i'm not in here with you, you're in here with ME' attitude. The real nightmare is trying to be cool and monologue at the other muse with someone loudly looping the song that never ends in your brain.

-Horror themed thread where Artair received a letter from someone that asked him to investigate a specific house. He feels compelled to do so and leaves, and now it's been a little while, so another muse tries to figure out what's happened and where he is (narrative entity? changes the story to try to force you into a direction. Artair is especially vulnerable due to damage impacting magic effectiveness. might be a neat mystery or horror case)

- Artair trying to summon his wings on command shenanigans. Also potential pulling into the In-Between on accident? Other potential power related things like accidentally shocking someone or opening his other eyes and shapeshifting

-Masquerade because i'm weak to the dance

-A silly thread where artair decides to check on an old friend from one of his older cases (a dragon who when he last saw him tried to kidnap him for his hoard due to his pretty hair. he convinced him that wasn't the way and if he's lonely to try talking to people and maybe even online dating. He now has a partner and has invited Artair to dinner. Another muse is Artair's +1.)

-Artair taking a muse to the library he has access to at the lake.

-Mordred's Abyss-- artair and another muse entering and getting to play with some weird, liminal, otherworldly and some level of horror bullshit

-A case with artair where he showcases his reckless and self-sacrificing mindset due to being in a bad headspace

-Secret in the Mines oh boy. It whispers to you behind the door. Just let it out.

“Merlin, please.” Arthur pulled his servant closer, rested his forehead against his. “You are the bravest man I have ever known. And it is extremely unlikely that we would die in the same moment. And I cannot lose you, I cannot bear the thought of it. I would be driven mad by it—you saw what happened to my father. So please, I know the burden I ask of you but you must do this for me, Merlin. When my time comes, you must see me out of the world with dignity and love, and carry me on in your heart forever.”

“I… Arthur, I…”

Tears streaked down Merlin’s dirty cheeks, and Arthur couldn’t stop himself from smearing them away with his thumbs, from leaning in to steady Merlin’s trembling lips with a press of his own.

When Arthur finally pulled away, Merlin nodded. The tears still came, but he finally finished his sentence. “I… have conditions.”

I’m kind of tempted to make this a future installment of the Boys Will Be series (even though it will mean finally diverging that from canon compliance), b/c I kind of like the backdrop that they’ve been casually banging behind the scenes this whole time but this is the moment when it Gets Real. And it actually feeds kind of nicely into another series on my “maybe someday” wishlist, Of Kings and Queens: When Arthur chooses Merlin after Isolde’s death, Gwen leaves Camelot and builds a new kingdom from the ruins of Cenred’s kingdom at Morgana’s side.

I’m not going to answer the first 2 asks publicly to avoid spoilers but ahhh so glad you loved it!!!! Okay trust me, when you read the Lancelot book it’ll blow your mind. It’s technically book 1, but the stories happen simultaneously. So the things you were confused about in Gawain book are answered in Lancelot book. Gwen Rowley changed my brain chemistry about how to utilize multi-pov across several books, as in, leaving some mysteries unsolved to discover in a sequel. They can be read in any order so you’re good. I read Gawain first as well and it almost feels more satisfying going into Lancelot that way.

I have a PDF of Lancelot right here. Gwen Rowley is a Gawain lover so you’ll get more of him in this book too lol not to mention her incredible assortment of side characters. (Prose Tristan gang, Orkney bros, French gang, fay realm characters my beloved!!) Ah!!! I won’t spoil. Please tell me what you think when you finish.

Lastly a quick PSA: ignore the Geraint book. It’s so bad. It doesn’t even tie into the stories of the other two, you can skip it entirely. The only good that came of it was me and @waleweinn bonding over how much we hated it haha.

Something horror but kinda fluffy that's been sitting in my brain: Artair transforms for whatever reason, but can't get back to human because he doesn't think of himself as really a person and he doesn't exactly remember how to be. But another muse sitting with him while he's this eldritch thing, and talking to him. Not caring that he looks scary and monstrous and just seeing their friend in need, and helping him find his way back. Maybe through little things like moments they've had and memories, or describing how they saw him, or even drawing it (well or bad are both excellent). Just making him feel human so he can find his way back.

I think over time it'd be cool for him to become comfortable with the other side of himself as well, though it would take a bit i think, because he's only just figuring out he's not even human to begin with and will have to find his own way to navigate that. But especially at first when he doesn't understand what he's doing, he would need help figuring out a way back to some degree of functionality almost. A version of him where he's not kinda falling apart because it's too much too different at once and he's overwhelmed.

The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake is a 375 page Fantasy novel. The 1st in The Atlas series.

I rate this book 3/5 stars.

Took me way too long to understand who each character was and what their abilities were. Even now, just two weeks later, I can't say I remember most of them. The story itself is compelling in most moments, but there are a lot of slow, dull moments too, which were a pain to get through. Honestly I was hoping for some more action sequences, but I do really like the reveal at the end of the novel.

Will I be picking up book 2? No. I also removed this book from my personal wishlist, as I don't want it physically. (thankfully my parents didn't buy it for my birthday.)

Nag eexpect ako na may dala siya neto kasi sabi ko sa kanya gusto ko talaga neto. Unconsciously, I have been testing him kung talagang conscious siya sa mga gusto ko. Hindi naman sa pagbibilang pero kapag siya naman may sinasabing gusto, hindi yun nawawala sa isip ko hangga't magbigay ko.

College was the only way out that he could see. After a rough couple years working multiple jobs and piling up student loans, Cory moved to Los Angeles with some friends, and Matt finished school, going on to become an elementary school science teacher.

When was the last time you climbed over a fence? I have no idea. (Btw, I'm just starting this survey to kill time before heading out to the Mountain Park. I'll probably finish it later today or tomorrow. Just letting y'all know in case there's any chronological weirdness in any of my answers.)

Does your pet wear a collar? No. I'd be afraid of them getting it stuck on something, plus they're indoor cats as it is.

What is the first thing on your Christmas Wishlist? I don't have a Christmas wish list.

What would you do if your mom/dad saw a hickey on you? I wouldn't allow anyone to give me a hickey in a visible place…or probably at all, for that matter.

What goal are you working on this month? I don't have any new specific goals. Pretty much everything I'm working on is just a continuation of something already in progress.

What could you say is your biggest time waster? Listening to YouTube videos and taking surveys. Imagine how much more productive I could be if I channeled all that YT time into something useful. :')

When was the last time that you were asked out somewhere, and you declined? I'm not sure. I was considering declining any invites from my mom this Wed-Thurs because I wanted some time to myself without any social obligations, but the movie she wanted to see wasn't out yet so I'm good.

Are you a sound sleeper? I'm somewhere in the middle. I don't wake up over every little sound, but I'm easy enough to wake if need-be.

In your opinion, which is more attractive, nice biceps or washboard abs? How about an "average" combination of both - like sorta nice abs and sorta nice biceps - that way they don't look oddly disproportionate.

How do you feel about bands that use pyrotechnics in live concerts? I'm not much of a concertgoer, so I don't really have an opinion on the matter.

Why do you hate your ex? I don't hate any of my ex-partners.

Does anybody hate you? I suppose it's possible.

Trust issues? I've got 'em. I think I may also be spending too much time around untrustworthy people. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming dynamic shift at the animal shelter. Alex leaves on the 21st of September and Diane isn't scheduled back in cattery for the time being, so…yeah. I'm counting down the days. It will be interesting to see how the atmosphere changes. I wonder if Kristen will be the next cattery lead; she's got so much potential.

Do you think that you’re good enough for the one you like? There is no such person. In general, I struggle with thoughts of not being good enough. It's hard to determine where the negative voice in my head ends and the truth begins.

When was the last time you had alcohol? At that fundraising event about a month ago. I tried a few sample beers.

Last person of the opposite sex you gave a hug to? Nan. She's a volunteer at the shelter who does a whole bunch of our dirty laundry.

Have you ever met anyone who claimed to be a witch? I've met people who practiced witchcraft in some capacity, but I don't think I've met anyone who outright claimed to be a witch.

What’s the weirdest thing in your body that you can crack? Nothing weird. Just my neck and my wrists.

Are your siblings nice the majority of the time? I don't know what my sibling is like these days. I haven't had any contact with them since 2013-2014. In the past, I would have considered them rather volatile.

Any other names your parents planned to give you? I think Tristan was a possibility. I don't remember any other potential names. Now I'm curious, though. I'll have to ask my dad when he wakes up from his nap.

Are you healthy? I do have some issues (mainly migraines and questionable mental health), but generally speaking…I'd say I'm "functional."

Number of jeans in your closet? I'm not sure. There are probably at least a few pairs stuffed in there somewhere, but I don't tend to wear jeans these days.

Rihanna or Lady GaGa? I guess Lady Gaga.

Which was the last book that really captivated you? The first book in the Dune series. The following two (the third I still have yet to finish) were just "eh." Not bad, but not on the same level as the first.

Do you prefer nail polish with sparkles in it, or matte colors? I don't really have a preference.

Can you actually picture yourself getting married/having kids, or is that something that seems too distant in the future to imagine? I can kind of picture myself getting married, but it's more like a distant daydream than anything grounded in reality. As for children, I don't want them. I will occasionally imagine it in a purely hypothetical sense (almost like an idealized form of nostalgia for the positive aspects of my own upbringing), but that's it.
