Hello! I've been relooking at all the RoseKnights stuff, and I gotta say, I am going to make an oc in your world! (If that's okay)

Anyway! I kinda wanted to ask a question that I didn't see answered yet!

May I please be enlightened with what colours are strong with what part of magic like is green or red really good at healing, or purple being the best at creating the most wood? That kind of stuff!

And bonus ask, how much can the green dragon dude (sorry I forgor their name) shapeshift? And what things can he not do?

The way my brain jerked wide awake and instantly kicked into Drawing Mode when I saw this ask was insanely trippy and also OF COURSE you can make ocs for the RK world!! If you want!!!! (that is more than okay! Anybody can do it if they are inspired!!!) BUT OKAY you asked the big question! So Allow me to enlighten you on the basic stats of the 7 major Rose colors!!

These aren't hard facts, they're just the common strengths and weaknesses found in every major color! Reds are the "perfect average", while Blacks and Whites are opposite ends of the spectrum. Every other color falls somewhere between those 3 tbh XD The lighter/paler color you are, the better your healing and magic production is! but at the cost of having much weaker wood that can't hurt dragons as much. If you've got a darker color, your weapons become more unbreakable but if you lose a limb or die you'll take a lot longer to regrow back to full health.

And here we have a bonus: Green Roses! Their magic is very unpredictable and nobody can judge how good you're gonna be in any skill if they look at your color/tone. Whether you got more Rose magic or Dragon magic is entirely random and each individual is different. As an example, George can shapeshift his height or teeth a little, and he can give his energy to others. He doesn't have any of the classic Rose powers. But other Green Roses might be able to create green wood or come back from the dead by themselves! SO YEAH!!!! I hope this was a good beginner's guide to Rose Magic! It's not perfect or final, but this is my current theory and I'm sticking with it! XD

I see from just the first 3 cards you are going through many things: depression, apathy or just a constant feeling of being trapped in a cycle of pain. Your guides are pointing me to say this is an illusion, a trap of the mind that has repeated because we are used to this path and going down it. Sometimes it is our fault and sometimes we are triggered back into our old ways but your guides are saying your path isn’t as hopeless as it feels right now but to let yourself grieve to not repeat what has happened. I talk a lot about mindfulness on my blog and how it’s helped me change and see through my rigid thinking and depression. Being in a low mood or just in a rough spot even if your not clinically depressed is not fun and I know it far to well.

messages for very specific situations/people: If this is about a legal situation I see it concluding in your favor. If this is about a break up or about you thinking you are never going to find love because you’re a mess, this is false! You are worth loving even if you were a worm. 🪱 yes I’m referencing the trend shhhh. ‘Your anxiety isn’t you, it’s the part of you that just wants to protect you so much it goes crazy and makes you act and do strange things. One day that part won’t feel the need to protect you anymore’

To move onto the main messages: I think from what I’m seeing it feels like this pattern in your life has happened so many times that you’re tired of it. You’re tired of feeling this way and don’t see a way out except through jurassic actions or no action at all. Of course actions will lead to different conclusions but your guides are saying that even if we do repeat an old pattern it doesn’t make us stupid, careless or not strong enough. ‘Change is a direction, not a destination.’ You can’t judge yourself for the journey because that’s where the mess lies, just know you’re always willing to get back on the path when you’re ready, that is the most noblest of deeds for yourself friend, that’s awesome!

It feels slow but I see something beautiful coming to fruition. I recommend to notice what you have in front of you once in awhile; not everything around you is as bad as it may feel and this is coming from someone who never EVER thought they would see the good things in the bad. Nothing is as black and white as our minds try to make us see especially with you anxious and depressed people out there, we just feel a lot.

So to the people who are just in a rut, know your path is a hard one but one that comes with many profitable and beautiful gifts that will make your life shine. You may not see it now but be upset, let out what is hurting you, bothering you and nagging you. Just because we get distracted doesn’t mean you deserve to be verbally attacked to get back on track (it might work for some but for me it’s a big no!) and you don’t need to be harsh on yourself if it repeats again, just notice what happened and how you ended up in that position again. Then take time to take action and redirect yourself towards the path you know you want instead of the path others may trigger you or force you down.

For the people who are depressed, your path is much harder because of the addition to all the symptoms of depression being a constant fight. But you don’t need to fight all the time, it’s ok to cry and feel bad for yourself, to be sad (I cry so much and hate being sad but it will pass I promise). It’s not shameful to be angry at the circumstances, you are a human. If you have hurt someone you loved because of these feelings your guilt shows you care; you are worthy to be heard out and understood.

To conclude: right now the path is dark, better things are ahead of you so refocus on the good when things seem bad. It’s easy to find the bad but it’s magical when you find the good then remind yourself of that good occasionally. Find the reason you may be distressed in the moment and things will make sense and open up to you, maybe even ease your sadness. Good things are coming as we slowly keep refocusing on our path. Keep growing lovely human ❤️

I’m getting an instant message for everyone in this pile that they have been so incredible and just so strong for getting through something that felt like it would never end. The feeling I get from this spread is a sense of hopelessness when it comes to family, love and relationships. There is a yang energy in your life that has shaped your view of love and it has hurt you very much. I see this person being conditional and reserved, someone stuck in traditional ways and not able to see past their narrow view. This person could have also been a support in your life or someone who should have supported you and was not there. For example this could have been a parent who was either to strict or just not there at all, too busy with there addictions or their ego. This person could be to involved in your life or themselves. I’m here to say I’m sorry you saw such horror and that your guides are sending you love even if you cannot feel there touch, they are hugging you tightly. I doubted my guides a lot as I grew into my practice but now I know that just because you can’t see it, it does not mean it isn’t real. There is a lot of mention of inner strength and how strong you have been to have grown up with a imbalanced yang energy where you may have been taught to prove that you deserve certain things through ONLY major effort when really life isn’t about only hard work but also play and fun. Look listen up, if some fool on the street can suddenly win the lottery then why can’t good things happen to you? Did that person earn that lottery money? Maybe but if you see it from the narrow view of what you were taught then no, they did not deserve a penny of that million. They are as much deserving as the next person to receive a large sum. With you it is the same, you will always deserve the best treatment with no prior requirements to be met especially from the people you let into your circle but there is a balance that may need to be set.

Yes there is a lot of ego and pride here, many in this reading have not considered the fact that maybe we don’t need to fight for every little thing maybe changing your perspective is all you need. Hard work is amazing and already deserving of the finest things but life is not meant for just work or to prove yourself. I’m not saying we all get lucky all the time and shit like that but I’m pointing out that the world doesn’t turn because we work, the world turns because it just does through certain factors.

Immediately your guides are bringing me to a relationship that may be struggling at this moment. This is not family related like feather two but can be a friendship or a romantic relationship. This speaks about a discourse of disconnection between you and this other. The approach to this situation was very mature from one side and the other not able to handle the communication or direction that the relationship was headed in.

I see one side putting in effort and the other struggling to for there personal reasons but I see a change coming towards you. Maybe you have not spoken to this person and it was the logical thing to do. I see that they will send you a message and for some of you I see you care a a lot for this person so you may reach out to them, but the advice I am seeing is to give space for both of you.

If you are against someone coming back I see it is because it ended in a fight or argument over the certain choices and other options life it taking them down. Ok for some of you I see a txt or call coming from the other. It could go multiple ways but I don’t need to cover every individual way because I’m gonna lay it out to you cleanly: if there message or call holds a desperate charge on either end (vibe wise) it’s best to leave it alone. If you need more time go ahead, if you think you’re ready that could be it too but for most it’s good to move. I do not see an outcome to any of these relationships I only see the break you both have taken. I see many of these situations are up to how you approach them when the time comes to face it the letter email call or txt. I do see them reaching out again or you reaching out to them after a long break so for now do not care about that, what matters is the now and how you feel is what I hear your guides saying. TGG analysis Part 1

Hi, this is part one of my analysis of the great game. In this post i’ll be highlighting moments which display Sherlock’s growing fascination with Moriarty and Moriarty’s undeniable obsession with Sherlock. I aim to (at some point) explain their dynamic beyond the romantic undertones already present in a lot of their lines. This is only an intro into my big theory - the analysis of pool scene.

Here is what i wrote down while watching, might be a little sparse, but the important bits are all there. Also disclaimer: my formatting skills suck and i’ll be editing the post a lot post posting (now that’s a trippy sentence), because i can’t sleep at night knowing i don’t make any sense 💀

p.s. - every quote that's numbered is also provided at the end of the post (Moriarty's words said by the victims), they’re important as i think it’s Moriarty’s way of avoiding vulnerability.

There’s an explosion at Baker street. Sherlock is unharmed but gets a package. A pink phone replica. 5 pips = 5 bombs = five tests. On said phone a picture of 221C that Moriarty knew Sherlock’s seen before. in there Carl Powers’ shoes.

Sherlock gets a call (1): “Hello, sexy. I’ve sent you a little puzzle just to say hi.” Sherlock: “the curtain rises. i’ve been expecting this for some time”. He’s excited, and he’s been waiting for Moriarty to act ever since A Study In Pink. 

In the lab, right before Jim comes in. “Why is Mycroft trying to bore me, when someone else is being so delightfully interesting” ((ok not to be biased but that is literally sherlockese for “i have a crush on a boy 🤭” ))

Jim walks in, Sherlock looks at him(reads him in a fraction of a second). Jim looks Sherlock up and down. No but literally how did no one notice his weird fan behaviour around Sherlock?? Molly was invisible to him and he was speaking to John while staring at Sherlock.

(Also can i just mention how Sherlock says “tinted eyelashes” when proving why he thinks Jim is gay and the picture is of his eyebrows) 

Carl Powers, “it’s where i began” Sherlock’s first case - Moriarty’s first crime it's pink this time cuz this is so gay at the age of 14 (20 years ago). Tbh we don’t know if it’s Moriarty’s first crime but i just find it romantic to think so. Of course he could’ve committed that one just to get Sherlock’s attention OR his obsession with Sherlock started after that, because maybe Sherlock's involvement in that case led him to believe that they were “meant to be” rivals. Perfect opposites (i mean they’re like 80% similar but sure dude). Basically he felt personally seen by someone who had the incentive to dig deeper, beyond the standard practices of police work, someone who believes that there is more to see.

Sherlock solves the case, blogs about his findings, communicating with moriarty and making him stop the clock 3:“well done you, come and get me”. When alone Sherlock says to himself: “Elegant”.  “No, i can’t be the only person in the world that gets bored.” As one wise person has said: any emotion that is experienced by a character in private is real. (SHOUTOUT TO @asherlockstudy) This of course applies to truths as well, and here Sherlock is being as honest as possible. This line proves how much Sherlock truly needs Moriarty, someone who understands that inexplicable pain of being bored. Just by knowing that someone like that exists, Sherlock feels understood, freed from the loneliness of being estranged, from the discomfort of being a “freak”. This game is the highest form of entertainment, something that allows him to be himself and to be valued for it. But more on that in the pool scene.

Another puzzle, 8 hours. (5): “We were made for eachother Sherlock”*Sherlock smiles* and softly says “Then talk to me in your own voice”bro is cheezing after the call bro…

“Our friendly bomber. I am on fire!”(he’s having fun ☺️) 

(6):“you can come and fetch me” Sherlock is smiling like crazy again.

John: “It’s all meant for you”. Sherlock: “Yes, i know 😏” !!!!! (video 1 below for the face expressions) (btw I was literally just filming my laptop so sorry for the shit quality, I just want to have proof for my yapp :DD)

Like how special one must feel to have someone be willing to kill tens or even hundreds of people just to entertain you? It’s not even about the lives to be honest, just the fact that someone is creating these personalised little puzzles. Like, isn’t that hot? This is also one of the MANY moments when John expresses his disapproval for Sherlock’s involvement in this game, mostly the giddiness about it. This will be important later on (i’m edging y’all so hard with this hinting :Ddd but i’m writing this after everything else so oops).

Sherlock is kinda defends(?) Moriarty, when Lestrade asks why is the bomber doing this. Sherlock answers *shrug* “good samaritan”, Greg is all like ‘he’s a bomber, hello?’ Sherlock: “bad samaritan 🤟😗” (Idk what's with the emojis but I just wanted to show how relaxed and goofy he was about it all). Basically, Sherlock interprets Moriarty’s “game” as a personal service, despite it being morally questionable.(ok but bro can’t stay serious, like he’s smiling all the time “[we’re dealing with] something new 😁” )

Ok now that i’m going over everything for the millionth time i noticed that this moment here was one of the worst attempts of hiding his “intellectual crush”. Sherlock isn’t big for conventional morality, and i’ll touch on that later, but this was so unserious it almost seemed like he became more comfortable in himself. He began to see that saying out of pocket or perhaps cynical stuff like that is fine, however much of a crime against “preserving the social peace of normies” it seems to be. I made that shit up, hopefully y’all get what this means :D Having someone like Moriarty allowed him to question his own role in society and how he, despite often being against succumbing to what's normal(and boring), conforms to it, to society, which further strengthens his feelings of estrangement. We're getting kafkaesque in here, boys! (sorry)

“Novel” Sherlock realised Moriarty is a consultant criminal(he organises crimes but no one has direct contact to him). When John asks (again) why Moriarty’s doing this, Sherlock can’t help but smile. “i think he wants to be distracted” *says in a breathy tone(intrigued/touched)* (WAIT I didn't know I could only put 1 video omg I literally feel 80 years old, how does Tumblr work!? *crying*) So Sherlock was staring into space, his face lit up upon realizing that him and Jim are the same, that they experience the same things and blah blah blah he looks horny in this scene I legit don't know what to even say bruh. (I'm mad that I couldn't put the video in lmaoo)

No but fr John noticed Sherlock has an intellectual crush on Moriarty and was annoyed at how entertained (and fulfilled) Sherlock was by this morally grey game.

The golem was hired to kill the astronomer guy and his friend professor because they would’ve been able to expose that the painting was a fake based on the stars. Sherlock figures it all out: “Oh that is brilliant, that is gorgeous. this is beautiful. Love this!”. The gallery woman admits to the fraud. Sherlock learns that this is in fact Moriarty behind this. *smiles*. 

our baby boy solved everything and now is curled up, watching shit telly :( 

Sherlock was waiting for John to leave to write to (more like at) Moriarty *smiles*. He lied to John about having given the missile plans to Mycroft. Sherlock actively wants to keep John out of this, because of his disapproval, John finds Sherlock’s fascination with Moriarty repulsive. 

So to summarize the absolute randomness I spew out in this thing: the connection between Sherlock and Moriarty is quite vague, but ultimately based on their eccentricity(and in this case it doesn't really matter if(more like "how") it's romantic). I'll talk about it all in the big post I PROMISE, this is just the intro so you can follow my impossible thought process. Another important thing: John as the symbol of conventionality and morality. That's it, I'll post again in like a month because the feeling of responsibility paralyzes me LMAO. ok bye ;)

Hello!! Might be an oddly specific question, but how do you do the hypnotic colours for when Spectrum is using his powers? I've tried replicating it and other glitchy/hypnotic effects for my own projects, but I think I like your style the best :] it's certainly very cool but I can't quite figure it out haha

I start with the area that you want the effect (whether that's a background or just a masked off area) being full of colours, generally I just use a rainbow gradient and then overlay it with pink or purple or smth, and them liquify tool it so that it looks more trippy (?)

Sometimes I layer up those colourful layers multiple times! It depends how busy I want the effect to look

then I usually add some sort of spiral on top, I use premade spiral brushes personally, and I add texture with glitch brushes on different layer modes (I cant say which bc I keep reusing old hypno power layers from old art cus it saves me time fdsvghsdf so I've forgotten some of my technique)

then u just change the opacity to how you like it and boom! :D

Hello! I'm reading one of your fic's on ao3 and was wondering when it's gonna be updated? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fic and wanna know how long until we get a new chapter! Love your writing! And I was so happy to see that you gave Mishima such a cool persona! I love the fic so much! I've been ranting to my friends about it nonstop (even though neither of them have ever played the game) but they both sit there and listen nonetheless! (I may even try and convince them to read it! It's a pretty interesting take on the whole game! And the part where Akira is worried that Mishima will have a problem with him being gay and Mishima just like "If I had a problem with it I would've said something back in kamoshida's palace" was amazing! I love everything about it and I can't explain in words just why I love it so much! It's just amazing! If I was better at art I would LOVE to make some fanart of it!!! Again I can't explain just how much I love it! I hope you're doing well and aren't sick!

The idea that people can love a silly little thing I write for fun this much is kinda unreal to me. Idk how to respond???? Thanks????

I mean, I’ve reacted like this to fics I have read before but having it turned into myself is trippy. Like this is some weirdly dream or some shit. Idk man. Shit’s wild.

Every time someone tells me how happy they are about the way I’m treating mishima in my fic I am further convinced that everyone who says he’s a bad character is a fucking coward and if more people would just make Mishima positive content then the fandom would be better off. He does not get enough love and appreciation and I will gladly take on the mantle of Mishima Ambassador. He is my blorbo, my boi, and I love him dearly. He deserves better, both in game and in the fandom, so I just did it myself.

Also, I ain’t about to beg you for fanart because you reading my fic is more than enough already and then you sent me this ask and Ann bear gave me a heart attack from joy, but trust me if you think you’re a bad artist I’ve seen worse. Much, much worse. I took an art class in a very sports heavy highschool and 90% of the kids in there were teenage boys who thought it would be an easy A. The first assignment was to draw a realistic hand. You’d think that they were AI with how bad some of them looked. So yeah, any hypothetical art you make is beautiful to me, especially because I’m fairly sure that if anyone made fanart of my fic I’d cry tears of joy <3

I tried really hard to update every week and I failed miserably, so I’ve made the decision to cut back to every other week. I’m like 85% sure that I’ll get the next chapter up this Sunday. I started my summer classes today and one of them (my English class) is cramming a 14 week course into 4 weeks, but I’ve always been pretty good at English/reading/writing so I’m hoping that that won’t ruin my update schedule AGAIN. I swear I can’t go two weeks without something fucking up my writing/editing time. We’ll see how it goes. I am not sick don’t worry, Just like, super fuckin tired cause my sleep schedule is fucked. I’m pretty good otherwise tho!

Dogsitting went well! I actually finished up with that yesterday. The little demon I was taking care of had absolutely no braincells, and was very annoying, and she kept pooping in my bathroom no matter how often I tried to take her outside to shit, but at least she’s small so it was easy to clean up and she was a good size to cuddle. Overall it was a 5/10 experience that was turned into a 9/10 because of the couple hundred dollar paycheck I got for it. The family I was doing it for is uncomfortably rich lol. I’m excited to get chapter 11 written and posted, I think it’s gonna be really fun! Hi!! I'm so glad you sent this ask because I love the elsewhere era so much, I could genuinely talk about it for hours. So here, have this extremely long essay about my experience.

I discovered set it off in early 2021, so the elsewhere era was the first full album cycle I experienced. And my god it was perfect! I was on holiday when the website went up along with the teaser for skeleton, and I remember so clearly trying to figure out all the puzzles before retreating alone back to our hotel room to figure out minesweeper. The feeling of excitement as the discord was going crazy trying to figure everything out was unmatched!

And then skeleton came out, and I was genuinely obsessed. I had just moved into an awful shared house for my second year at uni, so I drowned all my sorrows by putting the song on repeat, drawing the band almost constantly and of course, making the lyric video that would start my channel! The hype was so massive, the dyed hair was iconic, I genuinely lived and breathed the multicoloured aesthetic. I bought every single merch thing I could (my room decor and t shirts still reflect this.) I got a switch that year, and immediately named my island elsewhere.

Every time the website changed, the excitement was so palpable that I dropped everything I was doing when it happened. Of course I had projector and who's in control on loop when they came out, and while I didn't like them as much as skeleton, they built so much hype for the album it was unreal. I even attended an online concert a couple months before the album came out, and it took place so late at night that I went to sleep at 5am while having to get up at 8. I was that committed.

And remember the teasers they posted to instagram and twitter? The ones they posted at 5pm every wednesday and sunday, where unscrambling the code revealed the next song title, the ones I based my elsewhere lyric videos off? I actually set an alarm on my phone so I could catch these as soon as they appeared, I was that desperate to know the next title! And of course the discord went crazy each time, the energy was unmatched. And when the album actually came out, oh my god. It was on loop for over 6 months. I thought taste of the good life was a gift from god, the amount of times I listened to it.

The hype continued throughout 2022, as demos kept coming out through the fanclub (which I paid full money for, getting one of my favourite ever hoodies in the process) and each demo seemed to be better than the next. I still have no idea how the truth about lying was cut from elsewhere and playing with bad luck stayed.

Also, I was so excited for my first ever sio concert that november. And the day 100% lived up to the expectations! I gave the boys some stickers in vip which they loved, and even got a hug from zach after explaining an obscure talk it off reference on one of his stickers. I made some great friends in line, even though I got seated tickets so I had to be separated from them, but I did still get great seats. And the concert itself!! I'm so glad I can say I've seen third wheel live, even if it was in the medley. And I still remember the pure joy I felt when I waved at cody and he waved back at me during uncontainable.

By the start of 2023 and all the "scandals" and stuff started happening, along with their slow retreat off of all social media, I could tell the era was gradually ending and I was really sad. It fully sunk in when they stopped dying their hair, and I was devastated, I almost forgot what they looked like with natural hair. Although I will say I probably got more closure on the era than you guys in america, because I actually made it to one of the end of elsewhere shows here in the uk.

I have to say, that was probably the best night of my life. I paid full price for the vip this time, so I got to actually hang around and talk to them before the show. I also got standing tickets, and managed to get barrier, which was so close to the stage I could've reached out and touched cody countless times. It was wild, and I enjoyed every second. Of course, 4 days later punching bag released, marking the proper end of elsewhere. (And they haven't toured the uk since.)

I miss this era so goddamn much. I have so much nostalgia for it, even though its barely been a year since it ended, and I really wish the current era's branding was as strong. I always felt so close to the band during elsewhere, with all the talk it off episodes and them noticing me on social media. The sense of community was strong, and I miss it a lot now they've stopped posting anything. Idk, I might be biased because it was my first time experiencing a full era.

Anyway, if you actually read all that, thanks! I really needed a good reminisce. And yes, you should make more art of elsewhere! The visuals were unmatched, especially in the music videos 💜💜

Ratpeople is my newest outline idea with the focus shifting towards Ulfrika and how she's trying to get back one of her precious Navian* (I'm still not sure about the English translation) horses. She tracks her blind mare and her thief down to Wild West, however she finds herself stranded in a weird dirty town in the middle of a never-ending desert. It'll be kinda trippy and certainly a mysterious story with strong horror elements. Aaaaand I'd love to introduce yet another character from the collection of my weird puppets - Vulture. I swear this cursed guy lives rent free in my head ever since I watched a documentary about vultures ;__; And when I say that he's cursed, he's cursed. Like in that disturbing sort of way (think of Reddit creating the most disturbing/weird stuff out there)

It's a plain where souls go to after death and because the grass is always green, gods and other powerful creatures, such as Baba Yaga, decided it would be a great place to breed the fastest horses in all world religions - the so-called Navian horses, who are aither white, red or black in colour with the black being the most common. Chasing a Dragon - I'm still not sure whether I want to name it Chasing a Dragon or A Boy Who Chased a Dragon. BUT it's another outline idea/plot. BUT NO. 2 - it's not related to the world of The Legends of No-man's Land. The story's a standalone and it should be more focused on a more fairy-tale-like storytelling with the story being set in a fantastic world of moving islands with grotesque sea and sky creatures. Plot would focus on a boy Dado who's trying to get back his pet dragon he got away from his deceased sister. BUT NO. 3 the pet dragon was stolen by an evil king and Dado must now travel a looong way to find his friend. I got the idea from a pretty new game called Bramble: The Mountain King which tells a story of Olle who tries to save his sister in an enchanted forest from the Mountain King^^

[SA]The Strokes- Angles: Album Review

Hello, and welcome to Spectral Analysis, like the Voidz song but we'll get to that in due time.

Today, we will be reviewing Angles, the Strokes 4th album from 2011.

1- Machu Pichu-

A song with a really nice start with somewhat softer guitars, and distorted yet understandable vocals- well, the Strokes but not really the Strokes. The whole song has a very rhythmic approach, with Casablancas' signature fluctuating (sorta) voice. AHJ and Valensi's guitars complement each other greatly, and with the bridge having really cool vocals. It must be hard to replicate live. Anyways, it seems to be about searching for a purpose... and prostitution. Yeah. 8/10.

2-Under Cover of Darkness-

Still keeping that weird bizarre 'new' Strokes sound, it really sounds like if they had made their third album much cheerier. This song's guitars are whining but not somewhat earsplitting. The rhythm is still going strong, and of f*****g course there's a Last Nite reference. Still, the bridge carries a cheery melancholic feeling of dread. The vocals seem to be warning someone not to do something, and then the person who was warning the other person goes to the army. 7.5/10.

3-Two Kinds Of Happiness-

Oh. This one. Oh well. There's a certain feeling to this one, which somehow makes it nice but weakens it at the same time, as if there's too much; this is usually solved by everything being correctly times and mixed well together. The lead guitar sounds like it's off to the distance in some parts. Bring it back over here, please. 6/10

4- You're So Right-

A total contrast from the last song, it's a dark, rhythmic song with slight trippy elements in the guitars, and the drums are fast paced with a lot of closed hi-hat use. The vocals seem really deep until the chorus, where they're normal yet layered so magnificently that it scratches that one part of my brain perfectly. The bridge is super cool, and the guitar sounds like it's yelling in frustration. 8.5/10

5- Taken For A Fool

SISTA! This song is actually really good, with the guitars being really odd yet working perfectly. The whining and crunchy drums all mix greatly. Also, the song seems to be saying "ha. gullible." JC's whining also really works well, and the MAMA! is the cherry on the top. The vocal change at the end of the verse is really jarring in a good way. 8.5/10

6- Games-

Ah yes, the least Strokes-like song, and somehow, it's not the worst. The synths are an odd change from the guitars, but the echoed vocals and drums are really slick and cool. Fun fact- the bridge has a riff from an old demo dubbed Yellow Room from the Is This It? days. Anyways, the whole song is great, which is surprising since it's similar to Two Kinds of Happiness, except this is definitely way better. 7.5/10.

7-Call Me Back-

The breather, the calmest song except for the closer. It has a melancholic feeling it, like that one .GIF of a hawk in the rain. The chorus sounds like falling in slow motion though, and I really like it. But the best part is the post chorus, tell me don't tell me the hard part is telling me what na na na na blah blah blah man I don't know. There is a tiny amount of synth in this song, and it sounds so great. When the backing vocals move from ear to ear, and the main vocals are in the distance, it's amazing. 9/10

8-Gratisfaction-

A song that sounds like it's trying to hide sadness, sounding like a song in those stupid f*****g "I jUsT mOvEd To NeW yOrK" movies. Overall, I actually really like this song regardless, with really tight knit harmony in the song. It sounds sad but hidden by it being cheery. 7.5/10

9-Metabolism

My favorite song on this album, a song that sounds like an existential crisis, and the music video of My Propeller by Arctic Monkeys. It's a really powerful song, and as someone described on Reddit, it seems to be about being obsessed with death, but not in a suicidal way, but more like a bucket list. The vocals are incredible, probably one of the best sung by the frontman. 8.5/10

10- Life is Simple In The Moonlight

It sounds like an apology over the phone, and the chorus sounds like falling through a vortex in slow motion, and the suddenly jarring "DONTRYTOSTAPHAH". The whole song is a little slow, and one of the best ways to end an album, with a meh-song and one of my personal favorites. It also sounds like credits music, being perfect for a movie. In the end, it's a very well made closer. 8.5/10

Final Thoughts- A very polarized album, with starting off strong, becoming weak, climbing back up, and ending off greatly. 8/10.

ITS THE ONE WITHOUT MANAGERS RIGHT AND THEY’VE TALKED ABOUT RANDOM THINGS BEFORE) anyways it was crazy and jen and her started like going back and forth and it was so messy because amira kept deleting her messages(btw she’s the admin of the gc because seniority or something idk but OMG she’s admin along with this other girl right) so the other admin told amira to chill and yk what amira did?? SHE REMOVED THE OTHER ADMIN FROM THE GC AND IT WAS SO CRAZY!!! and the young adult gc(sorry there’s so many gcs i hope this isn’t confusing) we were ALL FREAKING OUT LIKE WHATS HAPPENING?? and they were GOING AT IT!! and i guess the managers got involved because the next day there was a text sent in the manager gc and the managers were just like “make sure to respect each other yap yap yap” and omg it was actually so so so crazy SUCH A TIME!!

Hello Neighbor Label TinyBuild Lays Off Entire Versus Evil Publisher Staff

TinyBuild, the games label behind the Hello Neighbor series, has laid off the entire staff of Versus Evil, an indie publisher under the TinyBuild umbrella, just days before the holidays. This news comes from various former Versus Evil employees on Twitter. 

“Unfortunately our parent company has made the decision to lay off the entire team here at Versus Evil,” former Versus Evil community manager Chris Trippi writes in a tweet. Another former marketing and community manager with the publisher writes in a tweet, “tinybuild just laid off myself and the entire Versus Evil team.” 

The official Versus Evil Twitter account posted the following: 

“Today is a sad day. After 10 wonderful years, Versus Evil is shutting its doors. We’ve loved bringing you the best indie games we could find and sharing so many happy memories with you all, our amazing community. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything.”

TinyBuild has not addressed the layoffs. 

Versus Evil was founded in 2013 to support and publish indie games. Its “About” page says, “Versus Evil boasts a full suite of services to support the indie games they publish; marketing, PR, influencer outreach, social media, community, QA, localization, and development services to reach other platforms.” 

Versus Evil has published games on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and mobile platforms, and has worked with indie studios from around the world, including places like North America, South America, and Europe. Versus Evil-published games include First Class Trouble and the Switch versions of Pillars of Eternity and Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. 

These Versus Evil layoffs join an unfortunately ever-growing list of layoffs affecting workers in 2023 in the games industry and games-adjacent industries. Last week, Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering parent company Hasbro laid off 1,100 employees, and that same week, Embracer Group officially shuttered its reformed TimeSplitters team, Free Radical Design. 

A few weeks ago, 505 Games parent company Digital Bros laid off 30 percent of its staff. 

Last month, Amazon Games laid off 180 staff members. In early November, we learned that Ubisoft laid off more than 100 employees. The week before that, roughly 100 employees were laid off at Destiny 2 developer Bungie. 

In January, Microsoft laid off 10,000 employees amidst its ongoing $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which it completed last month. 

In August, Striking Distance Studios, the team behind last year’s The Callisto Protocol, laid off more than 30 employees, and that same month, Mass Effect and Dragon Age developer BioWare laid off 50 employees, including long-time studio veterans. The following month, in September, Immortals of Aveum developer Ascendant Studios laid off roughly 45% of its staff. 

Just last month, The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog laid off at least 25 employees, and Telltale Games underwent layoffs as well, although an actual number of laid-off employees has not yet been revealed. And in late October, Dreams developer Media Molecule laid off 20 employees.

The hearts of Game Informer staff are with everyone affected by these layoffs.

naoshima pt 3

for some reason i didn’t enjoy it that much, i’m not sure if it was the heat or just me but i don’t think i’d visit again. i got an ice cream in the cafe and made my way back down the mountain via the beach to meet up with my friend. after all this it was time for dinner and what do you know it was bbq again! hahaha having done it the night before we were all pros at cooking and honestly i loved that it was the same food again because i knew that i liked it haha. during dinner our teacher read us an email from the people at washi no sato explaining that we are the first ever tourists doing paper making activities in the village so we need to be very respectful. (this may not seem relevant but it is) after this speech i gave the dinner staff tim tams as a thank you, remember taka? well he was one of these staff members, again i’ll mention that more later. a friend and i went on a 7/11 run in the dark and it was very enjoyable honestly. we got snacks and alcohol and ended up meeting 4 cats on the way back, of course they did not want to say hello. here’s where the naughtiness starts. we started drinking back at the camp and got a little carried away. taka, the aforementioned staff member ended up joining a small group of us in chain smoking and drinking. his english was better than our japanese so we taught him a myriad of australian slang and of course swear words. he told us he was from tokyo and only working on naoshima for a month. he recommended we visit “hoppy street” in asakusa, tokyo for a good sake hahaha. he also told us that the japanese government is going to introduce a mandatory helmet law which we all found very interesting. he taught us japanese and told us about his girlfriend, we ended up all following him on instagram and telling him to visit us in aus, after taking lots of selfies together we got a text in the trip group chat from a teacher saying we were too loud. this immediately sobered everyone up especially after the massive speech about being well behaved. we said goodbye to taka and sheepishly went to bed, worried about the morning. once morning came i profusely apologised to the teachers saying it wouldn’t happen again which i really do mean. i felt like owning up to a mistake was the mature thing to do rather than pretending it never happened. all was well in the end and i headed out for another morning ride, skipping breakfast again. i made my way to honmura, riding around the streets and waiting for the rest of the group to catch up for our tour of the “art house project”. after securing tickets we ran over to minamidera which is an artwork collaboration bewteen james turrell and tadao ando. the work consists of a lovely building designed by ando which you enter. once inside it’s pitch black and you are slowly exposed to a light installation by turrell. after your eyes adjust to the sudden shift between absolute darkness and dim soft light you are invited to stand and walk around the installation. the main light source is actually a cut out in the wall which you can stick your hand into. it’s very trippy honestly, a very interesting illusion. before the light emerges you’re seated in complete darkness so my eyes started playing tricks on me. it was almost scary. after exiting the building and being blinded by daylight a small group of us visited a tiny coffee shop. the barista was the sweetest lady named megumi, she asked us where we were from and once we said melbourne she was excited to talk about coffee to us hahah. next stop was art house: kadoya which featured works by tatsuo miyajima who is obsessed with numbers. i enjoyed the works however this was not my favourite stop on the tour. next house was go’o shrine by hiroshi sugimoto as i said before i really enjoy sugimoto’s work so i think this was my favourite of the houses. the shrine designed by sugimoto featured beautiful glass stairs which shone in the sun light. as the shrine was on a hill there was a great view of the ocean too.

11. Who would prefer the activities in the Crown Pavilion to the Cliffs?

- Nyra would prefer the Cliffs, as would Ren and Liv! Sanne and El on the other hand would go to the Pavillion. Those two like a fight :3 To be said though, El's fascination with Zephyrite crystals would lead him eventually to the Cliffs probably injured from the Gauntlet so win-win!

12. Are there any returning or new competitors in the Queen's Gauntlet? Who challenges them the most?

- Alternate answer here! Beside El man, Sanne. Sanne and Braham in the Gauntlet gives me life. I feel like he wouldn't just give up fighting now and now he has a girlfriend to do it with. You may get Nyra in the audience cheering him on.
