🖤 for Pietro!
attractiveness:
repulsive / hideous / ugly / not attractive / unappealing / not unattractive / meh / no preference / ok / mildly attractive / nice looking / cute / adorable / attractive / pleasant on the eyes / good looking / hot / sexy / beautiful / gorgeous / hot damn / would tap that / perfect / godlike / holy fuck there are no words.
So, Hank has known Pietro for, god, pretty much 20 years at this point, starting off of course with the Brotherhood, then being comrades on the Avengers, going through *gestures at all of that* - and, while he has immense respect for the growth that Pietro has gone through, and can absolutely appreciate that he's quite a handsome man in his own right, with sculpted cheekbones and quite the smile . . . there's still a part of him that does still see a little bit of Pietro's father when he looks at him. Juuuust a little bit of the man who Hank started his whole superhero thing off fighting, dodging missiles and all. He could grow to get over it, but it makes appreciating him as an attractive being - tricky, in ways, at least to start with.
personality:
grating / irritating / frustrating / boring / confusing at best / awkward / unreasonable / psychotic / disturbing / interesting / engaging / affectionate / aggressive / ambitious / anxious / artistic / bad tempered / bossy / charismatic / appealing / unappealing / creative / courageous / dependable / unreliable / unpredictable / predictable / devious / dim / extroverted / introverted / egotistical / gregarious / fabulous / impulsive / intelligent / sympathetic / talkative / up beat / peaceful / calming / badass / flexible.
Hank honestly does find Pietro frustrating and confusing on a base level, but if he peels things back and really thinks about it, he can very much understand why Pietro is the way he is - he knows exactly what it's like to live in a world where it feels like everyone else is going too slowly for your liking, even if the root causes of that are very different for them both. He also immensely respects his commitment to his loved ones (Hank adores Wanda, and has notably sided with trying to help or protect her whenever even Avengers or X-Men would do her harm) and believes he's trying to do the right thing, even if he doesn't always succeed . . . something else Hank's grown to sympathise with as he's grown older.
how likely they would have sex with them:
not if they were the last person on earth and the world was ending / fuck no! / never / no way / not likely / not sure / indifferent / I’m asexual / maybe / probably / it depends / fairly likely / likely / yeah sure / yes / would tap that / hell yes / fuck yes! / wishing that could happen right now / as many times as possible / we are already having sex.
Honestly, a question that could go any which way! Hank's a pretty open minded fella, there's not many people he immediately thinks of as complete sexual no-zones (though the ones he does, they are NO-ZONES), though he's unlikely to make the first move. He honestly would never even think he's on Pietro's radar.
level of friendship:
never in a million years / worst of enemies / enemies / rivals / indifferent / neutral / acquaintance / friendly toward each other / casual friends / friends / good friends / best friends / fuck buddies / bosom buddies / practically the same person / would die for them / true friends / my only friend.
I can't think of a ton of direct interactions between them, but there's one I really love from classic Avengers after Pietro finds out he's going to be a dad that I always think about. Like, this is just fucking cute, and I have to think that Hank and Pietro must get along decently if he's willing to take a fairly strong pat on the back like that.
first impression of them:
i hate them so much / i don’t like them / i don’t trust them / they annoy me / they’re weird / I’m indifferent / meh / they seem alright / they’re growing on me / truce / I think I like them / I like them / I’m not sure if I trust them / I trust them / they’re cool / they’re genuine / I think we’re going to get along / I really like them / I think I’m in love / oh fuck they’re hot / I love them.
First impression was Brotherhood of Mutants, soooo, very much not a positive impression, and it took a while to clear up, since Scott was the first one to really get hints that Pietro and Wanda didn't want to be pulled into Magneto's madness with the whole Santo Marco debacle - even if he'd told Hank and co., it'd take a while for it to sink in. Plus, even when they were friendlier (e.g. the First Class comics), Pietro was still kind of an immature dink. :P
current impression of them:
i hate them so much / i don’t like them / i don’t trust them / they annoy me / they’re weird / I’m indifferent / meh / they seem alright / they’re growing on me / truce / I think I like them / I like them / I’m not sure if I trust them / I trust them / they’re cool / they’re genuine / I think we’re going to get along / I really like them / I think I’m in love / oh fuck they’re hot / I love them.
Again, last interaction I can think of is years ago, from maybe Children's Crusade or something off-panel during the pre-Fall of X Uncanny Avengers, but Hank's always respected Pietro's unwavering commitment to trying to be better, even if it doesn't. You know. Always work out that way.

Peltigera chionophila
Snow pelt lichen
This tripartite, foliose lichen is a symbiosis between a lichenized fungus (the mycobiont), a primary photobiont (in this case a green algae) and a secondary photobiont (a cyanobacteria housed in those little freckles you can see on the lobe surface). Three very different organisms that have figured out how to coexist as one. Isn't that beautiful?

I think another reason why I don’t like or trust Natsume is highkey lowkey because Fukuzawa did not agree to the whole Tripartide Plan beforehand. He didnt agree to becoming the opposite to the Mafia, something that could’ve been fatal for them both, Natsume decided that for him.
God knows how Mori met Natsume or why he decided that a murderous underground doctor with that ability was the perfect person to overthrow the notoriously dangerous Mafia but it wasn’t Mori’s plan.
Fukuzawa and Ranpo had their detective thing before they met Natsume and it was him that directed Fukuzawa to Mori. I’m of the opinion that Fukuzawa didn’t know that Natsume and Mori were planning for the latter to because the PM head until later on when Yosano comes into the picture when Mori’s already a member of the mafia.
In the chapter/flashback above he’s a quack doctor, 4 years after the Great War ends he’s officially in the Mafia, the ADA is official and Fukuzawa knows about the Tripartide, but he fiercely opposes the immortal regiment idea.
Sidenote: Somebody told Fukuzawa about Yosano’s whereabouts and what Mori was going to do with her. It was Mori who got her out of the room, it was Fukuzawa and Ranpo who intercepted them on the roof. Might’ve been Fukuchi, but that’s not been revealed and now he’s dead. My money’s on Taneda
Can you fucking imagine going to someone for a permission slip to run your detective business and the dude up and decides that you and your sixteen year old are the *perfect* people to oppose the Mafia in quasi-alignment with the government (who you previously killed for???)?????
Its likely that Natsume sent Fukuzawa to Mori bc he wanted the future ADA president and the future PM boss to have some idea of each other’s bloodlusts, strengths, personalities, convictions. But that makes him even shadier because its clear he knows Fukuzawa’s assassin past and whatever’s up with Mori. Also, why? Why make them go through the fake kidnapping thing together? Unless he was trying to forge some bond that would make it hard for them to go at each other’s throats in the future, eg: when Fukuzawa learns what Mori plans to use Yosano for. Because a diamond polishes a diamond.
The whole Tripartite Plan makes it so that the ADA, the government and the PM are in a permanent standstill because none of them can kill the other for fear of what would come next and Natsume executed it perfectly and shoved it onto Mori and Fukuzawa, the latter of whom this came straight out of left-wing and hit him like a freight train
#the mori+natsume dynamic are very very dazai+mori which hnnnnnng#and that says a lot about the three of them#with fukuzawa as chuuya i guess#in terms of the typical skk dynamics i guess natsume’s the bad mentor to mori which is understandable#bsd#bungo stray dogs#bungou stray dogs#fukuzawa yukichi#mori ougai#natsume soseki#tripartite tactic#santoka taneda#yosano akiko#port mafia#armed detective agency#special abilities division#bsd meta

Theory time on the whole "ADA member transfers to PM" deal and why I genuinely think this was part of Dazai's plan (loooong post):
Based on what we have, I actually think we can assume that Fukuzawa, Ranpo, Dazai, all of the higher ups in the PM, and the govt. are aware of the deal and that Dazai will go back. Here's why:
Prior to Fyodor's arrest, Dazai had been maintaining an essentially crimeless record (and if he does do something morally questionable, he either had government backing from Ango, or was done in a way that can't be pointed back to him).
However, before anything could progress in S4, Dazai purposely put himself out in public to get arrested. I'd even argue that he had Ango purposely release some of his old crimes rather than it being written on the ripped page of the book (and if it was actually written in the book, then Dazai must have anticipated it in the first place because he knows Fyodor would do that).
This idea is further cemented by the fact that Ango, Mori, and Chuuya are actually aware of what Dazai is doing (more than the ADA even). Dazai had contacts in and out of Mersault ready before his arrest.
To make these plans in the first place, Dazai had to have talked to (at least) Mori and Ango. This would have to be roughly around the same time as when Mori and Fukuzawa made a deal. What if all of this was just one meeting?
Because let's face it. Fukuzawa only saying "except Yosano" was such a red flag moment. If there was anyone Mori would have wanted back in his control, it would either be his angel of death or his demon prodigy. The conversation must not have ended there...
Also, why was this deal even created in the first place? I feel like there could have been a different agreement, and this just looks like an excuse to get Dazai to go back. Fukuzawa agreeing with this deal is weird because he knows what the PM is like. Why would he subject his employees to possibly experience working there?
Dazai may have actually purposely put himself up for the taking in preparation to a future enemy that needed him back in the PM- back in his hometurf with all the manpower he could command and to give soukoku the free reign they had once again (without the limitations of the law on Dazai).
So anyway, now we have Dazai with his crimes leaked, which would have been fine alone because it could be played off as part of what was written on the page, but then he kills some guards in Mersault and commits jailbreak, along with several other crimes in just 30 minutes. In addition, he is clearly shown to be working with Chuuya, a well-known criminal, who has also committed several crimes while there.
Say what you will about Mersault security (which is actually good but just couldn't keep the demons on hold lmao), but they would 100% have records of what Dazai had done there. Even if he could be considered crimeless before, he can no longer be called crimeless again now. His actions here are beyond the manipulations of the book. To have these crimes (in France) erased would require the government to have an agreement with another country and to have Dazai go into hiding for some time again (doable, but troublesome).
That leaves us to the fact that Dazai is back to willingly committing crimes and partnering up with Chuuya as Soukoku for an extended period of time. All of these acts are known to Mori and Ango.
This implies that the choice had been made prior to S4, and this is why Dazai could do all these crazy schemes.
This also clears up why Ranpo and Fukuzawa no longer consider Dazai in the ADA roster recently. Not because they don't care for him, but because he is secretly no longer part of the ADA in the first place, and Dazai's safety is now under the concern of the PM.
Scarily enough, this could also possibly set up Dazai as the next boss of the PM in preparation for the next big enemy. One thing some people in the fandom noticed was that Mori had mentioned before that Dazai would become the boss when he turns 23. This fits in the timeline well because Dazai is several months (or maybe even weeks) closer to his 23rd birthday (or he may already be 23 right now). All of this may have been pre-planned for longer than we think.
Also, as a personal opinion on the other possible transfer candidates, they actually have better hold on the ADA and would not function well in the PM.
The PM would clash with Kunikida's ideals (though it would be interesting to have the future leader of the ADA be put in the PM the same way the future leader of the PM was employed in the ADA)
Tanizaki would be a great candidate, especially for his skills (and it would be interesting to have another redhead in the PM hahaha), but I highly doubt Naomi would take his transfer sitting down (Naomi would probably even attempt to join the PM) and, in turn, Junichiro would hate to bring his sister in the PM as well. Tanizaki's entire shtick involves his care for his sister, and taking that away brings him back to having no motivation to go crazy.
Atsushi is actually my 2nd option. Moving Atsushi to the PM would make him learn more about how the PM functions, and this allows SSKK to spend more time building their relationship. Chuuya could watch over the two of them as an aide to Dazai's mentoring, and this could lead to more character growth for Atsushi. Unfortunately, this voids Atsushi's plans to learn how to fight under Kunikida's tutelage, and the "no killing" deal with Akutagawa slightly lessens its impact because they would now be in the criminal organization rather than the opposing one (I'd rather have Akutagawa join the ADA tbh. This would further cement the "no killing" idea that Atsushi demands of him and build the SSKK partnership.)
Kenji is also a good bet, but the PM already has Chuuya, which makes having Kenji redundant. Kyoka would not return without an all out brawl and would actually waste all the efforts from S2. Ranpo would be insufferable lmao, and he is not made for Mafia types of strategy (he's smart! But he is not here for the manipulation and long chess matches. He doesn't have the patience for that when he can get straight to the point), and I'm not sure who in the PM he would have synergy with yet...he works best as a detective.
NOW, I may be wrong, because who knows what Asagiri will pull on us, and all of this is based on what is shown (I'm not sure if we could trust it lol), but this is the theory I came up with based on my understanding of events. Dazai planned to go back, and the tripartite knows of it.
Before anyone says this is a waste of Dazai's character development, I'd argue that there may be a misconception as to what Dazai is actually here to learn.
Odasaku knows that good and evil does not matter to Dazai. Dazai choosing to save people is not Dazai's character growth because he has ALWAYS been capable of that despite his unconventional means. The real character growth that Dazai needed was that there was a world beyond the darkness that he insists on putting himself in, and that he is capable humanity. Mori realized this too by proving the humanity in Dazai by chasing him out with Odasaku's death. Dazai has also realized this, and is now ready to return to his hellhole as a new man touched by the light. He is ready to be a leader, not the tyrant that he would have been without this lesson. Mori just prevented another insane mafia boss from taking the throne.
In addition, the PM has repeatedly been defined as the organization that protects the city in the dark. Being in the PM does not hinder Dazai from saving people (again, they've done so before while there). This might actually give him more power to move around and defend Yokohama more efficiently.
I guess this is it for now. I may have missed some things, but these are my main arguments for now hehe
#bungou stray dogs#bsd theory#firm believer of Dazai going back to PM because he is the only one meeting the plot reqts lol#bsd dazai#dazai osamu#bro said its his turn to play with the xbox#dazai having full command of the PM and being amicable to the entire tripartite is probably important for the future!#also wow this is long...i keep yapping#im a pro yapper. this is my 2nd blog where i keep yappinh#dazai would not be surprised by the deal too. he can read mori as if the man were a toddler book lmao.#edit: i made some minor grammatical corrections and made the title bigger

I'm certain now that bsd!Sigma is Yukio Mishima. (Although, that his character design parallels Shibusawa's was reason enough.)
In math, sigma is the symbol Σ, which indicates the summation of numbers. The kanji in Yukio Mishima's (三島 由紀夫) name translates literally to three islands + cause/reason for, chronicle/record, man.
Sigma, who has only three years of memories, chose his reason for existing to be the sky casino, a floating island. He's also lonely, an island unto himself, with only three years of memories. In other words, Sigma is the base sum of his parts.
(Of course, Sigma wasn't born three years ago because, aside from being nonsense, Dazai can touch him, and Dazai hinted at the absurdity when he teased Sigma. Never mind that it doesn't make sense with reality narratively, thus violating the "rules" of the Page, and that Fyodor has performed lobotomies before, with Ivan.)
#bsd#bungou stray dogs#bsd sigma#the aya post is taking a while so have this lol#other theories of mine include that fukuzawa wasnt an assassin and that the tripartite framework#align with the three treasures of japan#the latter not being a theory so much as a literary device that seems present

Sometimes I’m reading BSD x MHA crossover fics (which I love btw!!) and I see the take “your world (MHA) is black and white, ours (BSD) is gray” and this can be a GREAT way to differentiate places and cultures in a story when done well!! But sometimes the take itself can become black and white when it’s not acknowledged that any “black and white thinking” in the MHA world is solely undertaken by the reigning hero class and those who subscribe to its notions, ignoring the large subset of vigilantes and darker hero figures (as well as the rampant corruption and blatant prejudice propagated by the society), as well as the fact that BSD already solely focuses on those grey areas a la the Tripartite System, but that this nuanced view on legality and morality is only tackled within the general range of characters shown in the show, whereas there are countless civilians who live perfectly normal lives (within the more affluent or well-off areas of Yokohama) which are not shown, who often are completely clueless about any such darkness in their world and thus most likely often take on the same clueless, “black and white” mentality that some civilians of the MHA world do (a fact which relates to the prevalent headcanon, especially in MHA x BSD crossover media, that abilities are extensions of the soul or such which are a defense mechanism to protect someone from severe trauma/the like, which I can talk on and on about, but I’ll spare you all).
Okay, sorry for the random long paragraph about crossover fics in two of my favorite fandoms. Despite my occasional gripes with some takes within this sub-fandom, the different ways that people can tackle similarities and differences between the two are always so interesting to me, and I love to read them!

Out of curiosity, Juliet would have asked Mulch about Gnommish vulgarity as it exists beyond the particularly profane (e.g., "D'Arvit").
Though he wouldn't lie out of a desire to "shield" Juliet, I do think Mulch would have fed her inaccurate information purely for the love of fucking with someone.
As such, Holly is under the impression that Juliet is intentionally using random Gnommish words for fruit or sports as euphemistic curses.
#For non-Holly/non-Foaly LEP officers I do think that the general perception of the humans with which they work#is that Artemis Juliet and Butler are a kind of tripartite manic pixie dream girl designed to destroy the organization from within#artemis fowl

When I was like 14 years old I had just learned about what anarchism was and I loved reading the wikipedia page about Buckminster Fuller and so I developed my theory of the evils of coercive society as consisting in three main forms: Expectations (judgements made about you that you can't control) Obligations (being made to do things you don't want to do) and Advertising (being made to think or know about things you don't want to think or know about) and honestly I wasn't far off the mark with that one

One of the things I did not expect about Limited Life is the genuine heartbreak I felt when the Bad Boys broke apart because of inevitable death. It shouldn't be surprising because Jimmy is cursed as one of the first people to die, and Joel and Grian always end up the last few people alive. As funny as Jimmy's death was at Limited Life, its not so funny when Grian was willing to give some of his time to save Jimmy and Joel, so was Joel for Jimmy. The way that Joel was just suddenly gone while him and Grian were in battle, was sooo heartbreaking. Like you could hear Joel being loud and panicking at how things are not doing so well, and when Grian looks up his only ally is gone. Sure, he immediately sided with Big B and Pearl because he anticipates that Jimmy and Joel wouldn't last long, but the sense of loneliness when Grian was all by himself on the skynet, not even trying to drop tnt to get a kill, probably processing everything that happened, the relief to know that Etho is an ally, is chefs kiss.
Anyways, I love the Bad Boys. They are so funny and unserious, but their friendship could make me CRY. I want to draw them being silly.
#limited life#trafficblr#bad boys#I might be misremembering some parts#BUT I SURE DID NOT FORGET GETTING TEARY EYED WHEN BAD BOYS WERE GONE#The “don't tell timmy” from Grian was funny BUT WHY THE TELL WAS IT ANGSTY?!#I thought I was gonna have a good time in limited life turns out NOT#wails#im scratching my head while i did not quite felt the same for last life#with AHA boys or whateve they were called#i guess tripartite friendships get me because I have one in rl lol
