'POWER COUPLE'
gif belongs to me
There were many reasons Kimberly envied Trini's relationship. You always found time to communicate, if something upset you, you would discuss it instead of letting it fester. You always found time for each other, between the different clubs you joined, and dating a Ranger had it's own problems - it wasn't uncommon for a date to be interrupted by Rita's monsters but your relationship remained strong. And you always supported each other in everything you did.
When Trini was called forth by Miss Applebee to play her video project, you smiled and clapped your hands.
"Whoo!" You cheered, cupping your hands around your mouth.
You knew better than anyone how much effort she put into it as you aided her with recording footage.
"My video project is called Pollution Problems In Angel Grove."
You leaned back in your chair, fiddling with your pencil as you watched the video, meeting Trini's gaze and sending her a smile. When the short video ended, she removed the tape from the player and returned it to the cardboard sleeve.
"Very nice job, Trini." Miss Applebee praised, sending her a smile before addressing the class. "Pollution is a serious concern to our society."
"I couldn't agree more." Billy spoke up, "I am deeply concerned about the eco-logical ramifications of ozone depletion, acid rain, deforestation and the loss of our soils."
You nodded your head as he spoke, looking over at Kimberly when she agreed. "Yeah, you're right." She turned to Trini, "So what can we do to help beautify our city?"
Trini stepped forward, placing her hands on your desk, "I want to start a clean-up club. One day a week we can do some recycling, clean up nature trails or even count animals that are endangered." She stepped back, placing her palms together.
"Yeah!" Billy nodded.
"Count me in." Jason added.
"Sounds cool." Zack replied.
"Totally." Kimberly agreed.
Trini's gaze fell on you and you sent her a smile. "A chance to spend some time with you and help the planet? Sounds good." She mirrored your smile and you nudged your friend who was sitting next to you.
He quickly agreed to join and you grinned as you looked at Trini, your eyes following her as she took the seat next to you. She leaned over to your table, sending you a smile.
"I want to thank you for all your help." She began, "We make a really great team."
You mirrored her smile, "Yeah, we do."
Kimberly's eyes danced between you both. She never knew until that moment that a simple smile could convey so much love and admiration. You really were the power couple of Angel Grove who could do it all.

Rangers Together, Sisters Forever - Power Rangers (2017) x Hart!Sister!Reader
Request: Hi! Could I have an imagine where R is Kimberly’s(power rangers) younger sister, who she is protective of, and is the one who dies instead of billy?
Your older sister adored you from the moment she got to hold you as a baby. She knew from that moment all she wanted was you to be safe, she was determined to make that happen.
But you were protective of Kim as well.
It was you that shoved Ty Fleming after he said Kim was the meanest person he’d ever met. He shoved you back and you fell on the ground, resulting in Kim punching him in the face. Punching his tooth out in the process.
Now the two of you spent your Saturdays in detention.
Kim left you in detention to deal with her ex-friends, returning with a shorter haircut than before, making you laugh as you saw what she had done.
Her friends didn’t like you but you didn’t like them so you weren’t phased by Kim unfriending them.
You didn’t know about what Kim had done because you didn’t want to know and Kim didn’t want to tell you.
Kim loved to hike the trails at night since your house was on the other side of the mountain.
Whereas before you busted your mountain bike and your arm, you would bike the trails and take photos as you were going along. Now you were stuck hiking with Kim and her sad expressions that implied she didn’t want to talk as she stared down at Angel Grove.
Kim withheld rolling her eyes as she heard the click of your camera, interrupting her staring contest with the town. You had your tongue poking out the side of your mouth as you angled your camera perfectly to get a photo of the town lit up at night.
You didn’t even realise Kim had disappeared to go swim until you heard a guy’s voice.
“I know you used to date Ty Fleming.”
“Oh, well you know I punched his tooth out.” Kim’s voice was loud enough for you to navigate your way to her.
“I know they put it back.” The guy stated, pausing as he spotted you.
“You’re Y/n, right?” Jason asked, leaving you to just shrug one of your shoulders, glancing at Kim before you snapped a photo of something on the other side of them.
///
The two of them were talking as you lingered, taking photos until the loud blast of an explosion had your camera almost slipping from your fingers.
You had barely made it down the cliff with Kim when you heard a voice.
“HEY! You guys looking to get busted or something? This place is a restricted area!”
“Oh really, Einstein!” Another guy shouted but you were busy trying to take photos of the cliffs before Billy appeared next to you, reaching out to touch the cliff.
“Oh no.” Billy exclaimed, making you look at him before the two of you began to run, the cliff-face collapsing and the girl from above falling.
You landed on your stomach, inhaling mouthfuls of dust which you choked on as your lungs ached.
“Y/n, you okay? Y/n?” Kim began to panic as she heard you choking, her shoulders sagging as you gave her a thumbs up, your camera gripped in your other hand for dear life.
“Whoah... what is it?” Billy whispered as the six of you spotted the glittery cliff-face, a clicking making Jason raise an eyebrow at you as you snapped a photo before the guy you didn’t know the name of began to smash at it.
You didn’t expect the other girl to pass you one of the weird crystals until Kim used her phone torch on yours, revealing the clear white crystal as the light refracted, sending a beam of rainbow onto the ground near your foot and the other girl’s foot.
You didn’t hear the mine security alarm but Kim was already pulling you to get running with her and the other girl until Kim pushed you forwards so Jason could pull you into the van, you in turn grabbing Kim and the other girl.
“Guys, guys, guys, there’s a train!”
You managed to grab your sister’s hand, the feeling of your cast touching her wrist making her jump as she realised it was you.
The change in focus meant that neither you or Kim saw the train’s headlights light up the van as it hit it.
///
You woke up on the floor of your room, throwing the blanket off your head, your fingers hit something hard.
“What the-” You froze as you spotted your cast lying there like it had just slid off your arm... your arm!
It was completely healed, even though you had another month left until it was supposed to.
“Y/n!” Kim whispered, knocking on the door to your room which you swung open, the two of you staring in shock as you staggered back, holding the door with it’s ripped off hinges still attached.
“What the- wait is that your cast? Oh my god, your arm!” Kim exclaimed as she ran into the room, watching you trying to place the door back in the frame by sitting on your bed where the cast lay.
“Yeah...” You replied before remembering the weird coin thing that was in the pocket of your jacket.
Kim went quiet as her phone buzzed, her face forming a frown as you watched her grip on her phone increase until you both heard the shattering of glass. The phone breaking into two pieces as glass shards sprayed.
“Uhh, we should, we should, go to school.” You suggested, frowning as you found the reel of film from the camera you were using last night.
“What the-”
///
Whilst your sister went to her classes, you spent any free time outside of yours looking for the other two at lunch, to no luck.
Your sister found you, revealing the plans to head down to the mine after Jason found her and they found Billy.
“I couldn’t find the other two. I don’t think they showed up to class.” You replied but Kim just shook her head.
“I forget you skipped a grade sometimes.” Kim remarked, leaving you to shrug at her. “I’m still a grade below you, they didn’t want to cause a rivalry or something if we were in the same grade, remember?”
///
The police were outside the mines after finding the remains of Billy’s van.
“Hey! Come on down! We should figure this out together!” Jason called to the other girl who just glared even though she was all the way across the other side of the cliffs.
“Whoah...”
“Damn.” You whispered under your breath before your feet were moving for you as you jumped down the cliff, running past Zack to climb the other cliff to catch up to her.
“Y/n!” Kim shouted, trying to catch up with you as Zack followed up behind.
Kim managed to overtake you as the three of you scrambled up the rocks, finally arriving at the top of the cliff where the other girl had skidded to a halt.
Kim was talking when the girl jumped over the ravine to the next cliff.
“Uhhh...” You murmured as Zack started yelling.
“Oh, you’re crazy, but so am I!”
You didn’t expect Zack to just launch himself over the cliff to reach her.
“Jump with me!” Kim stated to Jason, making you just stare at her for a moment before you clenched your fist.
“Y/n, what are you-” Kim exclaimed but you had already started running before kicking off the cliff.
Landing on your feet was harder than you realised as you stumbled, crashing at the feet of the other girl who just smiled as she realised you were grinning.
“C’mon Kim!” You shouted as you sat up, leaving the other three to just laugh.
“You wouldn’t believe she had a broken arm on Saturday.” Kim remarked to Jason before they jumped across the ravine, leaving you all waiting on Billy.
///
Kim kept you behind her the entire time you were on Zordon’s ship, your hand entwining with hers after Alpha 5 scared you all.
You didn’t let go of Kim until you were all at home.
///
Training in the pit wasn’t the most enjoyable of things to spend your free time doing. You trained with Zack as Kim trained with Trini.
“Nice work, Y/n!” Alpha cheered as you managed to throw Zack on his butt.
Trini and Kim turned around in time to see what had happened as you were helping Zack up off the ground.
Training against the putties was harder though.
Especially when Kim would freak out if you got hurt or sent flying into Trini to the point where you woke up lying on her.
“Sorry, sorry!” you stuttered, hurriedly getting off Trini who had gone pink much to your obliviousness.
///
Trini and Kim using their forks to fight over the last piece of Krispy Kreme donut had you laughing to yourself as you managed to snatch it, quickly eating it as Trini and Kim both just stared at you with wide eyes before the three of you started laughing even more.
///
Seeing Billy morph for the first time made you realise why you were all failing to.
There was no true teamwork here.
Barely a friendship going on between some members.
“Get out. Training is over for today. Go home.” Zordon ordered, leaving you to turn to Alpha 5.
“If you can’t morph. You aren’t rangers.” Zordon growled but you just stared at the power coin in your hand.
“The power coins still chose us, before we could morph, before any of this. You expect a functioning team to morph immediately? We barely knew each other before we found the coins! You can’t make a team out of strangers! We just... need to get to know each other... properly.” You exclaimed, falling quieter and quieter as the others stared at you before you bolted.
“Y/n-” Kim began, about to head after you before she realised you’d dropped something.
“What is it?” Zack asked, glancing at what Kim was holding.
“One of Y/n’s photo reels...” Kim explained, looking through the photos quickly with a soft smile.
“What?”
“She took photos of us.”
///
“I’m going to stay up here tonight, build a fire, cook some food-”
You nodded at Kim before the five of you began to scavenge as Jason went back to the ship.
///
“You must shed your masks to wear this armour.” Kim’s impression of Zordon had you grinning as you attempted to not have your marshmallow turn into a fiery meteor.
“Think only of each other and the Morphing Grid will open to you.” Zack’s impression made a giggle escape your mouth, gaining Trini’s attention as she smiled to herself, watching you panic as your marshmallow turned into said fiery meteor.
“Let’s not forget both Kimberly and Y/n Hart were also in detention.” Billy stated, gesturing to you and Kim.
“Not tonight.” Kim replied, glancing at you as you shrugged.
“Turns out you shoving someone then you getting shoved to the ground by the person shoved ends up with you in detention and the other person got away with it. So yeah.” You explained, eating the meteor marshmallow to create a sticky mess so you didn’t need to talk anymore.
“Wait, didn’t you have a cast on your arm when we first met?” Jason asked, leaving you to look down at said arm.
“After the trainwreck, I woke up and found it on the floor, almost like it had slid off my arm. Also, my broken arm was healed even though I had another month with the cast on to go.” You explained, giving a frown from Zack.
“How did you break your arm?”
You glanced at Kim who just raised an eyebrow at you back, mouthing ‘you sure?’ to you but you just nodded back.
“I was out on my mountain bike, coming back from a trail and a car didn’t see me, they were speeding but I was thrown from my bike. My bike took the brunt of the damage somehow but i had a broken arm and a concussion.”
“You almost fractured your skull, too.” Kim added, leaving you to just sigh, shrugging off what Kim said as you ran your fingers over where the stitches had been.
“I could tell you anything and you would have to believe me.” Trini chuckled, making eye contact with you as you stretched out your arms.
“Okay. Um, I’m the new girl. Always. 3 schools in 3 years. It’s crazy, I like it that way, it’s easier, nobody has to get to know me and my parents don’t have to worry about my relationships.”
“Boyfriend troubles?” Zack asked, leaving Trini to just blandly reply after drinking her beer. “Yeah. Boyfriend troubles.”
You were about to tune out then when Zack asked something else.
“Girlfriend troubles?”
“Mood.” You whispered under your breath, leaving Kim to glance at you and everyone to fall silent before Trini continued to talk.
“My family is so normal. Too normal. They believe in labels, they’d like me to, um, dress differently. Talk more. Have the kinds of friends they want me to have. I don’t know how to tell them what’s really going on with me. I never said any of this out loud...”
“Are we Power Rangers? Or, are we friends?” Trini asked, watching as you stood up to sit next to Kim.
“You okay?” Kim asked, noticing your demeanor.
“Cold.”
“I told you to bring a jacket-”
“Shush! I know!” You retorted to Kim’s acknowledgement of what you said, not expecting Trini to throw a jacket at your head until it hit you in the face.
“Thanks, T.”
///
You knew that Kim had snuck out but you didn’t care, sending one final text to Billy and Zack before reading what Trini had sent.
“Oh crumbs!” You exclaimed, hurrying to get changed and sneak out the window.
///
“Rita came to my house tonight!” Trini announced, leaving Jason to ask where Rita had said to meet. “She said to meet her where the dead ships live.”
“You know this is a really bad idea, right?” Kim asked, leaving Jason to shrug it off. “The worst.”
///
Without being able to morph, Rita was too strong. She kicked all your asses, tying you all up to the side of a ship.
“Five little rangers, tied up like fish.” Rita taunted, glancing over you all until she paused over Jason, tormenting him.
“No, Red, you don’t know. But guess what, one of you knows the location of my crystal. But who could it be? Eeny Meiny, Miney, Blue.” Rita began before her eyes landed on you, her sceptor following as you choked for air.
“She dies, in 3, 2-”
“Okay, okay! Don’t hurt my friends, alright? It’s at a doughnut establishment.” Billy began before Rita got impatient.
“Where? What does that mean? What’s it called!”
“It’s a Krispy Kreme.”
“A Krispy Kreme? This is a special place?” Rita enquired, glancing back to you again as your eyes went to Kim.
“Very special.” Billy explained, leaving Rita to go into thought.
“It must be. The source of life itself is buried there. Thank you Blue, for being so weak. Now the White Ranger will pay for it. Zordon would lose all respect for me if I don’t kill at least one of you...”
“Kim!” You yelled in panic before a green pulse from Rita’s power coin hit you, the ropes holding you to the boat letting you drop into the ocean.
“Y/N!” Kim screamed as Trini begged Jason to help you.
The rope continued to glow green as you struggled before it went still.
“No! NO!” Kim’s screaming didn’t stop until Rita shouted something as she was leaving.
“You’re not ready to kil me! You’re not worthy!”
The blast of wind from the sceptor freed the other rangers who scrambled to save you.
They’d managed to pull your lifeless body from the waters as Kim scrambled to hold you.
“Y/n... please, wake up.”
“She’s going to be okay, right?” Trini asked, her voice cracking as Kim began to cry.
“I swore, I swore I was always going to protect her.” Kim whimpered, “now my baby sister is dead.”
Billy spotted something sticking out of your pocket, gesturing to Kim to look as she sniffled as she found some water-damaged photos you’d had developed.
One was with her before everything with Ty happened.
Another was of Trini, smiling.
You had one of Billy and Jason whilst Zack was being a dork in the background too.
“Help me. Help me pick her up!”

Sides of a Coin (Platonic)
Requested Imagine: Being Siblings, Trini knows you well enough. However, the problem arises, when you aren’t honest about who you are with everyone you know.
“Come on, baby bro.” You rolled your eyes at your older Twin’s teasing. Sure, some twin’s would find it annoying, you didn’t. You found it endearing, found it kind. Some loved to say that they weren’t like everyone else; an edgy comment. You were like everyone else, just different.
Everyone was, in their own way.
“You good?” She asked, actually stopping and facing you.
You smiled, “Just thinking.” You replied with.
“Didn’t think you had the capabilities for that.” She said with her own smile.
“I have layers.” You argued back.
“Oh yeah, you do stink like an onion.”
You wiped at your eyes that held no tears, “Cry like one, though.”
“The onions make you cry, idiot.” She rolled her eyes as she spoke, turning back and walking up the hill.
Your smiled brightened as you followed.
“Besides, you got layers, you just don’t show ‘em. Swear you wanted to punch Ty?”
“I did, but Kim got to him first.”
“I’ve seen you hit someone for less.” She was more cautious this time with those words; almost sympathetic and reflective.
Where you a lost puppy? Not exactly. No, you had friends; hell, you had even made one at your school. One that some people called the Ice Queen. Sure, she seemed like it, but you brought out another side to her.
Her name? Kimberly Hart.
“Surprised you aren’t with your girlfriend.” Trini said, getting ready to do her yoga. You gave her a look, “Right, sorry,” She meant the apology, “Forgot.”
You waved it off, but your mood had shifted, “Forget it. Besides, she’s busy in detention. Punching Ty.” She let out a silent, “Ah” As she went back to her yoga.
You sat yourself on the edge of the rock, allowing yourself to take a breathe. You closed your eyes as you took in the air, taking in the silence and beauty of this new town.
She did her routine, before taking off her headphones, “Let’s go.” You got up and followed her down.
“Hey,” Kim said as she saw you. She had shorter hair, much shorter hair now. If you were honest, it suited her, “Missed you at school today.”
“Missed it, went with Trini, instead.” You were honest with her, “Couldn’t exactly let her fall off the edge, could I?” And the real jokester. She appreciated the humour you brought to her, especially with what had happened with her.
Right now, you may have been the only friend in her life right now. She, genuinely appreciated that you stayed.
“Thanks for coming to pick me up.” She said, as she got into your car.
“Sure thing. Now, where we going?” You asked, turning the key in the ignition.
“Home.” She answered with simply.
You complied, driving in the direction of your friend’s house.
It was a silent drive, with her just running over what had occurred, and you not pushing her.
You pulled up outside, letting her get out in her own time. As she did, she turned back, “You wanna…come in, for a bit?” She asked, almost a little bit nervous about the question.
“Nah, gotta get back to Trini, she wants to go for a walk a bit later.” You had to say, regretfully.
“Oh….well, I’ll see you later, though?” She asked.
You nodded with a smile, “Wouldn’t miss is it for the world, Princess.” She laughed, rolling her eyes and giving you a wave before shutting the door and walking away.
You got home, getting out the car and going upstairs, going past your parents without another word. Seemed that it had been going that way a lot lately.
You knocked on your sister’s door with the knock you both had been using to signal it was you when you were younger. She came to it, ready to go out for the walk.
It was something the two of you did, a ritual of sorts. You would go for that walk and she would do her yoga, both in the day, and in the night.
It was something, it as a break from the monotony. You were with someone that noticed you for who you were, all that you had to offer to the world, not just people (Kim was a genuine friend, you had to admit) who saw – or only allowed themselves to see – one side of you.
However, as she did her yoga, a massive BOOM! Shook the world for a moment. Trini caught herself, quickly reaching out and grabbing you too before you fell off.
“Thanks.” You thanks, catching your breath after almost falling.
“What kind of an older sister would I be if I did?” She asked, smirk on her face.
You shook your head with one as you followed her to the source of the new big bang.
As you saw, it was a bunch of kids, Kim being among them. One that took you by surprise was Jason, a man whose football career had died in a car accident. Why the fuck was he here?
“HEY!” Trini yelled down to them, they all looked up to you both, “You guys looking to get busted or something? This place is a restricted area!”
“Oh, really, Einstein? Restricted? As in, we shouldn’t be standing on crazy rocks doing karate kid moves, right?” One of the ones who name you didn’t know yelled up.
“Alright, stalker.” He laughed, but you could tell it was in a good jest type of thing; in a laid back fashion.
“Yeah, or camping out on old trains. I see you too, homeboy.” Trini said in her own comeback.
The next moment, those ‘crazy rocks’ then collapsed in landslide, seeing yourself and your sister down to join the others.
The rest of it was a blur, you found some coins (yours being Orange), and then a chase occurred, and then a crash.
Now, however, you were back in your bed.
You heard a knock at your door, a specific pattern. It was your sister.
You went to the door, opening it slightly, “What?” You whispered.
She held up her coin; ah, so that’s what this was about.
You let her in, “You ok?” You asked, hands on your hips as she stood in the middle of your room, arms folded.
“I mean, other than confused, yeah. You?” You didn’t fail to notice the quick once over she gave you.
“About the same, really. Others make it?”
“No idea, just know we did.” She said, gesturing with her finger between the two of you.
You ran a hand down your face, “Shit.” You cursed, “Shit.” You said again, having to lean forward for a moment and exhale.
Trini was grabbing you and moving you to the bed before you could continue, “Whatever this is, I’ve got your back, you know that, right?” She promised, giving your hand a loving squeeze.
“Yeah, I got yours too.” You returned it with a smile.
“I know, stupid.” She said as she tapped you on the nose.
“We can try and find them at school?” You said, as if the thought was not even an option before.
“Oh god.” Your sister groaned, leaning back and facing the ceiling, you mimicked her actions.
“How about we both go to school, you do recon, I talk to them? You don’t even have to talk to ‘em? We can’t find them, we’ll go up ourselves, ok?” Trini always admired that about you, how big of a heart you had, how much you cared.
She sighed, “…Ok.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You found Kim at school as you entered school. Like she promised, your sister stood in the corner, keeping an ear out.
Like she said, she’d have your back. And, so far, it meant doing this.
“Hey.” You said, jogging to catch up with her.
She paused as you approached her, “Hey, back. You ok? Or…like, remember yesterday at all?” She asked.
“I remember the crash, don’t worry. And, to answer your question, I’m good. Like nothing ever happened. Even if something did.” You answered, trying to keep it on the low down so no one questioned you.
“He’s back,” A student whispered, tapping his friend on the arm and pointing in your direction, “Here he’s only hanging around her to get it in the s –” He never got the finish his sentence, as he was pinned against the locker.
A BANG! Went through the school at his impact, he even made a dent. Kim’s eyes widened. Ok, so it wasn’t just her that had extra strength.
“Hey. Hey.” Kim said, quickly intervening, pulling you away, “He’s a dick. Ignore him.” She told you, holding you back when you went again.
Your sister watched, waiting for a moment to jump in and get involved herself. Part of her wanted to when she saw the cocky look the guy gave you once you were off of him. Somehow, he managed to ignore the massive dent in the lockers. Whatever items he had in there would not look the same after a hit like that.
“Whatever.” You said, taking your arm back from Kim, saying something to her, before walking over to Trini.
The last Kim saw of you, was you walking out with your sister putting an arm around your shoulder in comfort.
“What’d he say?” Trini asked, leading you on another walk to calm you down.
“Apparently, only reason I’m friends with Kim is because I apparently want to…you know.” Trini cringed at the thought of it.
“God. I’m sorry.”
“Not your fault, Trini. Hey, you saw that massive dent in the locker, right?” You asked, grabbing her hand as she pulled you up some rocks.
“Sure did. Someone took their breakfast choices seriously this morning.” She joked. You laughed, for once a genuine one.
You continued on your walk, going up to the area where the explosion happened and where you found these coins.
Maybe it’d give you some answers. Maybe show you as to why your emotion was elevated and –
“Maybe why you hit that guy so damn hard he dented the locker?” Your sister guessed.
You paused, “Out loud?”
She nodded with a laugh, “Yup. Guess you never kicked that habit.” She teased. You punched her shoulder lightly. Thankfully, the powers didn’t kick in there.
Still, it lightened the mood a little.
“Ask me, he had it coming to him.” She said, both in an attempt at comfort, but also to voice her own opinion on the matter.
“Think I scared Kim, though…” You drifted off.
Trini paused, turning back to you, “Hey,” She waited until you met eyes with her, “If she can’t handle the fact that you’ve got your own shit going on, then that’s on her, not you. If she can’t see you aren’t just the joker type, then that’s her fault.” She was blunt, but you could be too. That was the thing with twins.
“Hey!” A voice called after you had continued walking for a bit longer. Turning you saw it to be Jason, along with Kim, Zach, and Billy.
Seemed the whole gang had a similar idea to you, then.
“We should figure this out together!” Jason exclaimed to you both.
The two of you shared a look, silently discussing how to move forward.
When you did move it was up the almost 90 degree slope. The two of you scrambled up it, the thing almost turning into a race.
Kim was gaining on you, just behind you. Trini grabbed your arm and helped you up as the two of you kept going.
You both were forced to stop; A) by Kim’s exclamation of just that; and B) as there was a drop that seemed to never end and a jump you didn’t think you’d make.
You both shared, sighed, and turned to the others.
As Kim spoke, she softened her voice, “Just…Just talk to me. You have a coin. We have a coin. We should just talk about this,” Her eyes then went to you, “And about other things too.” You knew what she was referring too.
“I mean, we don’t know what this…” Kim went to continue, but you saw – out of the corner of your eye – that Trini was pissed at the way Kim looked at you. Trini tapped you on the arm, silently telling you to follow her lead.
So, you did, the two of you leaping across the massive jump. Trini made it, landing on her knees. You, meanwhile, rolled.
Trini grabbed you by the strap of your backpack to stop you from rolling further.
“Got you!” She said, hoisting you up.
A laugh then left you, “Didn’t think we’d make that.” You admitted, hands on your knees as you caught your breath.
Trini chuckled, She playfully punched you in the arm, “When have I ever let you down before?” She asked.
She hadn’t, “How much time you got?” But she still rolled her eyes at your joke.
Zach, seemingly finding a thrill in all this, took his jump. Like bowling pins, the two of you were knocked down.
“I just cleaned my jeans, dude!” You groaned as you got up.
Zach put his hand on Trini’s shoe, “Hey, I got them!”
Trini was quick to remove the shoe, “Get off me.”
Trini helped you clean yourself off as you drank from a water bottle. You watched, with amusement, as Jason and Kim jumped over. Kim landed like Trini, on hands and knees, while Jason landed right on his front.
Kim moved to help Jason up as you gave Trini the water bottle.
Then, it was Billy’s turn.
“It’s fun.” Jason said, trying to get the boy to jump.
“It’s such a far jump.” He exclaimed in return. It was fair.
“Hey, Billy!” He looked at you, “If I can make it, so can you. You got this, buddy.” You said in encouragement.
Everyone else joined in after that. You all trying to get the boy over so you could, hopefully, find out just what the fuck was happening.
However, for Trini, she was a bit cautious when she saw the look Kim gave you.
Billy then went for it. Trini stood up, not actually expecting the kid to go for it. You all watched, you and your sister in silence, the others with words of encouragement as he sailed through the air.
He caught himself on the cliffside. You went over, offering him a hand. He took it, as you pulled him up.
“Thanks.” He said to you.
“Course.” You responded, with a genuine smile.
He celebrated, clapping and dancing. You couldn’t help but smile at his enthusiasm.
You rolled your eyes, chuckling at it. The smile was whipped the next moment though, as he fell backwards, down the hole.
You all ran over to it, looking down into the seemingly endless abyss.
“Hey, guys, you gotta come down here!” Billy yelled up. You all took a breath of relief. He was ok.
You looked at your sister, eyes having a glint to them, “No.” She ordered, pointing a finger at you, “No, we aren’t doing that.”
Kim laughed, you looked to her, giving her a wink, “See you on the other side.” You said, before jumping down the hole.
You heard your sister yell out a, “No!” but you were already falling.
You hit the water, going down for a moment, before coming back up for air. It was a cave, a giant one, and it had been here this whole time it seemed.
Your sister’s yell made you look up as she and Kim hit the water next to you.
You all looked down, seeing your coins light up the retrospective colours that they were.
You went down, swimming towards something that shimmered in the water. You went to it, putting your hand to it.
What you didn’t expect, was for your had to go through the water. You then seemingly rose through it, being able to breath.
You all looked around at the new surroundings, still seemingly part of the cave.
However, you noticed something, you were sliding.
“Shit –” You tried to say, but you were cut off as you all fell through the water, hitting the floor with a THUD!
“That went well.” You groaned out. You looked up, opening your eyes, seeing Kim offering you a hand. You took it, being brought up.
“Kind of did, huh?” She asked, smile on her face. This was the you she knew.
“Well, we ain’t gonna forget today, huh?” She laughed, breathless.
You continued onward, feeling the walls vibrate as you walked. You stood as a united front at wat appeared to be an entrance.
An entrance to a spaceship.
You all approached it, “Looks like something stronger than Graphene.” You said, putting your hand to the wall of it.
As everyone entered, you saw Kim and Trini looking at you, “What?” You asked, looking mainly at Kim.
“Thought you didn’t pay attention in class?” She asked, with a confused look, but small smile.
“I pay attention, when I haven’t done that studying already.” You answered, passing her and walking in.
As you walked in, Kim turned to Trini, “Is he serious?” She asked.
Trini considered the girl for a moment, before nodding, “Yeah. Should see him when he finds something in that book or another subject, it’s like he’s another person.” She seemed to stress the last part of the sentence, as if to try and get through to the other girl.
Kim just hummed, walking in after you.
You came up into what looked to be the main walkway in the ship, circles with different colours were around the place. It looked alien. Then again, it was.
As you all looked around, your sister put out the option of leaving. Seemingly the path she wanted to take.
You looked around the interior, seeing a tube blink flash a light. Then, the big circles that acted as walls turned. It was as if it was expecting you. The stairs rose to your level. You were trapped.
Or, at least, not through the way you came in. There was a doorway, one lit up.
“Guys, guys wait –” You tried to say, but Kim stopped you.
“Y/N, we need to run!” She said, grabbing your arm and pulling you with her, through the doorway.
And, so you did run.
You ran passed your sister, grabbing Kim’s hand and pulling her into your space; however, you found yourselves with legs open and touching.
“Hey.” She greeted, almost trying to bring humour into the moment to try and help her anxiety.
“Hi.” You replied with. Both you making sure to keep your voices low.
You kept quiet, before you heard a scream. Your sister’s scream.
You – somehow – managed to get out of your hiding spot instantly and ran to help out your twin. Kim was right behind you. There, you all saw a robot – or alien – or thing.
The robot flung Zach and yourself away from the group as you went for aggression. As you hit the ground, you heard your sister call out your name in fear.
Zach was up first, offering you a hand, “Did not go to plan.” He groaned, pulling you up.
“Don’t I know it.” He gave you a pat on the shoulder as you made your way back to the group.
The robot introduced himself as Alpha, and he led you to a massive wall. As you walked, Trini put a hand on your arm and gave you a quick glance over.
“I’m fine.” You assured her, putting your hand on her arm and giving it a squeeze.
She gave you a nod as you walked into the room. It was massive, with what looked to be a moving substance on the wall; made of thousands of cubes.
A face was then revealed on that wall; this was Zordon. And you had set yourselves up for something much bigger than yourselves.
Zordon was exactly pleased, but he had no choice.
You were going to become a team of warriors; Power Rangers.
So, at least you got your answers.
Kim moved back to stand next to you, seeking your hand for comfort.
Your sister, despite the massive talking head, did look back to you and see the hand holding.
She saw you were completely into what Zordon was saying, and not really paying attention.
But she was.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, you all had to get used to each other now. That meant not just in the ship, that meant at school too.
You didn’t mind being seen with them, really. It was just…it was hitting too close to home.
“Have you made any friends yet, Y/N?” Your mother asked you as you all sat down for some food.
You took a sip of your water to avoid the question.
“I know what you’re doing. Your sister is ghosting me, you don’t have to either.” She said.
Your sister was looking at you the whole time, gaging your reaction. She could tell that being with that group was helpful in a way, but detriment to you in another.
“I found a group, mum. Trini did too. We’re good, we always were. But, we have other people now.” You answered.
Your mother smiled what was meant to be a genuine one – but you could see there was a tiredness to her look, “That’s great, honey. And, any luck on the girlfriend department?”
You sighed, tired of being asked this constantly. You weren’t interested in that department. But, with your parents – more so mother than father – they were sure you just hadn’t met the right person yet.
Your sister then used her voice, seeing you gripping your fork tightly, “Alright, you want me to talk? Me, Y/N, and four kids from Angel Grove found a spaceship buried underground. I’m pretty sure we’re super heroes.” Trini said it in a bored tone, but she did seem to liven it a little when you looked at your younger brothers; knowing how much they’d enjoy it.
And they did, with their jaws on the floor.
Your mother, however, had that tiredness return. She slammed a cup next to Trini, “Pee in that cup!” she demanded from her older daughter.
“Alright fu- screw this.” You said, standing up and walking away from the table.
“Y/N, come back right now!” Your mother demanded as you grabbed your jacket.
“Going for a walk, mum,” You turned back to her, “Don’t worry, I’m not gonna hit anyway. I’m gonna go for a walk, maybe scream into the eternal void or something.”
Did you feel bad for leaving Trini behind? Yeah, you did. But, you got a text not long after from her; “I’m not mad about you leaving, do what you need to for you. I dealt with it.” Was what it read.
“Hey there, stranger.” You paused in your walk, turning and seeing Kim approaching you.
You smiled, “Hey, back.” Stopping your movements and letting her catch up with you. It was coming to evening time around now, with the sun setting.
“What you doing out here?” She asked when she finally made it to you.
“What are you doing out here?” You asked back, smirk growing on your face.
Kim chuckled, shaking her head, “I asked first.”
You shrugged, smile softening, “Came here to get away from my parents for a bit. You know how families can be sometimes, right?”
She nodded, “Sure. Mines…normal. But, I’ve seen the many types of them.”
“Yeah, well. I didn’t get the worse of the bunch with parents. But…I don’t know. Just need a break sometimes from them, you know?”
She nodded, “You could always show them your new powers, show them how you feel.”
“I’m not committing murder, Kim.” She laughed again.
“Speaking of showing them –” You knew where this was going.
“Yeah…The school thing. Listen, I – uh, I’m sorry for bailing on you when that happened.”
“I was worried about you, I’ll be honest. I mean, I’ve never seen you like that, before. Never seen you that…angry.” She sounded concerned, even now.
“I’ve never seen you hit a guy, either. There’s a lot about both of us…or, any of us, really, that we don’t know.”
“Why hide it, though?” She asked, as if she hadn’t one the same thing. But, still, a valid question.
You shrugged, “To keep some sort of fame in high school? Maybe – maybe because you’d want a knew start.” You tried to be as vague as possible.
She tilted her head, “How’d you mean?” She asked.
“Don’t matter –”
“It does.” She insisted. She seemed to not want to give up. She seemed to want to get to know you on a deeper level.
“It’s not great stuff, Kim.”
“I fucked up too. Hurt one of my friends. Texted an image out. They kicked me out the group.” She admitted, looking at the sunset.
“Guess we ain’t all as clean as we thought, huh?” You gave a chuckle, but there was no humour behind it. No joy with it.
Kim’s eyes seemed to shift in emotion; going from a kind of sympathetic look, to an understanding look with something else under the surface.
The next moment, that other emotion was made known as she leant forward and slammed her lips into your own.
You were taken aback, but she grabbed your shoulders as she deepened the kiss. Keyword: she. You made no action to deepen it.
It was all her, but you still acted as if you liked it; you were good at that after all, pretending.
She pulled away, smile on her face; you slowly returned it with your own.
She gave a satisfied nod, and a wink, before disappearing into the sunset. Leaving you stood there, frozen.
You were quick to return home after that.
When you did, it was night time. Everyone was in bed. Well, everyone who didn’t have super powers.
“You were gone a while,” Trini said, making you jump as you spun around and saw her turning on your bedroom light.
“You scared me.” You put your hand to your chest to try and calm your racing heartbeat down.
She rolled her eyes, “Yeah, well, you scared me. Consider us even.” She always could have a bite to her words when she needed them.
“Sorry, Trin, didn’t mean to scare you.”
“Don’t worry about it,” She patted the bed, “Come sit.” You did so.
There was silence for a few minutes as you both laid down, facing the ceiling, “Kim paid me a visit, seemed almost nervous.”
You looked at her, “Really?”
“Yeah, asked me if I’d be cool if you two became a…thing,” Uh-oh, “So, you never told her?”
You sighed, “It never came up.”
“So…your preferences of a partner, or the fact that you don’t want one in that way never came up? In a school full of horny teenagers?” She even raised an eyebrow; seemed the reliable big sister who calls you out when you fuck up was coming out to play now.
“Remember when we did? When we talked about it. Or, when I talked about mine? People were call with your one, mine not so much. Look where it got us.” You justified it as.
“But it’s a part of you. It’s part of your identity. I own mine, you should own yours too.”
“The angry part that got us here?”
She hit you on the arm, “You know which part I mean…You want me to tell her?” Now this was big, your sister offering to do that for you.
“You’d do that?”
She looked confused, “Why wouldn’t I? You did something similar for me. Might not be as…like, generous or charming when I do it, but if you need my help, you know I’ve got your back.”
As you went to argue the point you made previous, she put up a finger to stop you, “Now, get some rest, got training tomorrow. I’ll be here until you fall asleep. Gotta get my own beauty sleep after all.”
You chuckled slightly, before closing your eyes.
You were so glad you had your sister by your side.
Training got more and more aggressive with you and your sister. You and her could always fight when needed, and it definitely showed here. You both seemed to know what the other was going to do in a matter of seconds, going to block it. It was as if you were both aware of the choreography.
When it came to the others, you would both be able to mostly win with the others.
However, they saw that determined side come out as well. How, whenever they’d win – not that you were a saw loser – it would push you to throw yourself into more training.
With Kim, she was the one that seemed to match you in quickness. She seemed to be able to read you, even giving you a smirk before your fights. It would be a quick one, and a mixed back on who would come out on top.
It gave her the wrong messages, ones that your sister did try to get her to understand.
The first instance of that was at the café, after they had fought over the food. It was nice, Trini liked the girl and saw a friend in her, despite her reservations.
However, she still remembered why she called the girl here, “So, how are you and Y/N getting on?” She asked, drinking her coffee.
Kim shrugged, “Taking it slow.” She answered.
“You like him?”
“I – I mean…I think so? I…If I had to choose, it’d be between Jason and him. They’re both great guys.” Trini couldn’t help but nod, she had known you longer – obviously – but Jason had his merits.
“I think Y/N would want you to go for Jason.” Kim looked confused.
“Wait, why?”
“That’s his story to tell. It’s got nothing against you, though. He just…doesn’t feel that way…” She wasn’t entirely sure how to let her down easily.
“But…he let me kiss him.”
“Did he kiss back?” Kim knew the answer to that one.
When it came to Kim at training, she seemed to be in analysis mode.
“Trying to size me up?” You teased, throwing a punch that she blocked easily.
“In a way.” She said in return, but there wasn’t that spark to it. She flipped you over.
“Ok. Someone’s extra fiery today…You wanna tell me what’s up?” You asked you got up.
She didn’t answer right away, “…Could we talk about it at the bonfire tonight?”
You nodded, “Sure.”
Billy had been able to morph for a moment, the purest of you doing…whatever needed to be done for it to occur.
It only showed you guys were getting closer, you were being freer with each other.
You were becoming…almost…friends.
You all sat at the campfire, the thing crackling as you all laughed and exchanged deep secrets. Trini had told hers, of the troubles with your parents and her partners.
The others all saw how you put your hand on hers for a moment, as she interlocked the fingers and gave them a squeeze in thanks.
It was the most open they had seen her be, even if a small gesture.
Then it came to you.
“You don’t have to –” Trini said, voice soft and concerned.
You shook your head, “It’s ok. They deserve to know,” You then turned your gaze to the others as you spoke, “There was this girl in school. I liked her, just not in that way. She – let’s just say she didn’t take it lightly. Found a guy right away, big guy. He and his crew came after me. One thing led to another, Trini and I are a little bruised…but, that group was worse. Last thing that happened before we moved here.” You gave a condensed version, not wanting to go into details.
As the news settled on everyone, you only looked at the fire as your sister asked a pivotal question.
Where you guys even friends?
You went on a longer walk, this time in the early hours of the morning, figuring it would be the best time to get your mind cleared of a lot of things. You had an inkling that Kim knew about why you didn’t kiss back, you were just unsure of her reaction.
Did she hate you for not telling you that or what had led to you and Trini coming home? Did the others not trust you any more.
Those questions raced through your mind as you sat on the hill, overlooking the city.
You looked at your phone as it chimed. However, as you went to check it, it vibrated, a phone call.
Your sister’s ID appeared on the screen. You answered it immediately, “Trin?” You asked, concerned as to why she would be calling at this hour.
“Can – can we meet?” She was normally easy with words, even if not many. She was gasping for breath. She was scared.
“Where are you?” Was your only question.
You had met her at her desired place, the grounds of the football field. She explained to you (and the others, when they arrived) what had happened; Rita had found her and threatened her to kill her whole family if she didn’t keep a secret and/or join her. That secret was that the end was coming, that Rita was coming the next day.
However, there was a spark of hope, a dockyard where you could maybe get the upper hand.
As you went there, that turned out to be false.
You all ended up tied to one of the boats by ropes, held by her will. As she passed you, she grabbed you by the chin, “Ah, Orange, always my favourite. Always had the most personality to them.” She said, laughing as she heard Trini growl, “And always close to Yellow. Oh well, maybe baby brother will be the one to take the fall.”
It was worse than that, though, as it was Billy who suffered that fate.
You were all released, and all finally came together as you lifted the poor boy out of the water. Kim then knelt near him, putting two fingers to his neck.
But she was the one who called it, he was gone.
Trini took a step back, and saw you frozen, tears in your eyes and wanting nothing more than to fall. She too felt the weight of this, but her instincts were kicking in. You were hurting, and you needed some form of comfort.
You were almost passive on the walk back to base, tears going down your face.
You were pretty much absent during the talk, just stuck in your own world.
Trini continued to hold your hand as you jumped down into the water, even that didn’t snap you out of it.
She continued to hold it as you entered the base, laying Billy’s body on the ground.
She then met the eyes of Kim, the other woman siting on the stairs, listening to Jason as he took the blame. As soon as Trini had tried to get her silent message across to the girl, she then gave her pledge that she would easily give her life for any of the group, but her eyes went to you by instinct.
You were her little brother, that shit would be true without it being said. Still, she gave your hand a squeeze to try and help the words sink in and try and help you not drown in your thoughts.
You let out a happy sound at seeing Billy come back from the dead, genuinely happy and in a different sense of shock.
As you tried to control yourself, Kim entered your vision. She couldn’t help the smile on her face, but it softened as she met your eyes.
That attraction she held before was still there, but there was also a look of understanding as well, “I – uh, I know this isn’t the greatest time. But, I wanted to apologise, I shouldn’t have kissed you…”
You shook your head, small, almost sad, chuckle leaving your mouth before you spoke, “I shouldn’t have led you on…Should’ve told you, I’m sorry.”
She nodded, “It’s ok. You had your reasons. I wouldn’t say you strung me along. I just…didn’t see it, either. I’m glad I’ve gotten to know the real you, Y/N.” She said, sincerely.
“Flaws and all?”
“Flaws and all.”
“I can still joke, you know?” She smiled at it, shaking her head.
“I can tell. So, what do you say, friends?” She asked, holding out her hand.
You nodded with a massive smile, shaking the hand, “Friends.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were now suited up, and going up to face Rita’s henchmen. You were all in sync, jumping off of one another as if it was nothing. You were a team. You had an understanding with one another.
You made it to the top, jumping over the edge and continuing the assault. Trini rolled over your back as you slammed a creature into the ground. As she went over, she kicked one about to punch you, blocking the punch and slamming her fist into the side of the creatures – named Putties – head.
She looked back to you, despite the helmets and visors, you could tell she was grinning, “Got your back.” She teased, before moving on.
You punched another, throwing it into it’s friend.
You all pushed up, before the tables started to be turned, and you started to be turned back.
You were pushed back to the edge of the cliff. You knew you’d all stay together, though, until the end. You were loyal. You were a fighter.
Zack’s zord saved you all in the nick of time, piling on top of your enemies.
Your visors all retracted as you looked at the fight in the city.
It was zord time.
You could be fearless when needed, and you definitely needed it as you all rushed into said city. Your zord was like Trini’s, a fast one that prowled the streets.
You seemed to get to grips with it fairly quickly.
You were adaptable.
You swung your tail around, smacking into the horde that was coming towards you. As you looked ahead, you saw some going to Trini’s Zord.
“Trin, you trust me?” You asked, over the comms.
“Always.” Was her response.
At it, you fired your lasers, watching as the putties all exploded at the impact.
You swung it around again, the tail hitting more. You let out a war cry; you could be angry too when needed.
With it all seemingly said and done. That just left the big guy; Goldar.
You all lined up. However, as you all psyched yourself up, you saw more Putties in the distance.
“We can’t fight Goldar and the putties at the same time.” Jason said, knowing that it was the only truth in this situation.
“Someone has to go.” Said Zach.
“But it’s suicide.” Kim morbidly reminded you all.
There was a silence as you all let it sync in.
Then –
“I’ll do it.” You said.
“No –” Trini instantly went to talk you out of it, but you continued.
“Look, you guys can handle him, ok? I need to get the putties away from those people. Trust me.” You seemed almost calm.
That was another thing about you, you were brave.
Brae until the end.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was over, they had one. It was all silent. The people had dispersed, it was just their giant zord left standing tall.
As soon as she could be, Trini was out, calling out your name and trying you on the comms, nothing came of it.
Her heart was beating rapidly in her chest, her anxieties off the chart. She was thankful for the visor on her helmet being blacked out, it meant that no one could see the worry.
She had let you go, alone. She knew how you two could be, how you both were as stubborn as the other.
The older was meant to go first.
She found your zord, finding it smoking and trashed.
She ran, as fast as she thought she had in her life, ever.
She climbed up your zord, calling out your name. She found you, visor covering your face, but you weren’t moving. There were scorch marks on your armour, and the glass of your zord had cracked.
She dragged you from it, hands going to your helmet.
“How – how do I get this off?!” She was panicking, forgetting the button on the side that would unlock the visor.
She finally found it, and was met with your eyes closed and your body limp.
Tears pooled her hers, and she let out a wail.
You were gone, you weren’t coming back.
They had won, but at a cost.
But, at least they had gotten to know the real you. The one that they hadn’t known existed.
They had met the hero you actually were.

Request: I was thinking about some jealous Trini or Kimberly when reader spends too much time with Zach or any other team member (your choice ) which would lead to a cute confession, perhaps?
Ever since the Power Rangers defeated Rita, their life had changed. They were now not only a group of friends, but they were also superheroes. And having the fate of the world depending on you, asked for them to be well trained. Every day after school they’d gather at the quarry to train for a few hours. Like clockwork, they’d all arrive. But the past two weeks had been different.
A new girl had moved to Angel Grove and had immediately caught the attention of the Power Rangers. She later became an addition to the team, being the purple ranger. To their delight, the group dynamic didn’t change - only grew stronger, really. Something else that kept growing stronger were Trini’s feelings for the new girl and with that came the unwanted feeling of jealousy every time someone else showed interest in the purple ranger.
“They’re late, again,” Trini mumbled out. Her hands in her pockets, kicking some rocks into the depths of the cliff.
Kimberly smiled sympathetically, “I’m sure they’ll be here soon,”
Though Trini had never really told Kim about her feelings towards their new friend, Kim could see right through her and knew just how much this made her feel.
“Yeah! Yeah, it won’t take much longer!” Billy smiled brightly, trying to comfort her. He noticed Trini’s discomfort but didn’t really know where to place it.
Zack - who had just been sitting on some rock, doing his own thing - stood up when they heard the two missing team members approach.
Y/N’s laughter lashed out in the clear air, seizing Trini’s attention.
“You don’t always need superpowers to be a hero, though.”
Jason and Y/N came into view.
“They sure do help, you can’t deny that.” Jason smiled at the girl next to him before looking up to meet the others.
“Hey, sorry we’re late, we-”
“Let’s go,” Trini ignored them and jumped off the cliff, into the water. Kimberly noticed the look on Y/N’s face - she seemed confused at Trini’s behaviour - and gave her an apologetic smile on behalf of her friend, before jumping after Trini.
“Trying out her patience?” Zack gave them a half smile before shaking his head. ”It’s wearing thin.” He said before jumping down.
“It’s good you’re here, come on, we gotta go train!” Billy clapped his hands together and jumped in with Jason and Y/N and soon the six of them were standing in the pit.
The purple ranger walked over to Trini, sensing that she’d done something wrong.
“Hey Trin, we okay?” She decided to just be blunt about it. Trini seemed taken aback. She furrowed her eyebrows before quickly changing that into a smile,
“Yeah, we are. Sorry for before,”
Alpha 5′s voice interrupted their little conversation.
“Alright everyone, we’re going to fight in teams first. Pick your partners,”
Trini turned back around to face Y/N, “Wanna fight?” She presented her a teasing smile but it dropped as soon as she saw the apologetic look on Y/N’s face.
“Jason kind of offered to help me with my kicks. Since I’m new, I’m not that good yet…and… yeah…” Her voice died down.
“Sure,” Trini tried her best to smile but it probably looked really awkward, since that was how she felt.
Y/N excused herself and walked over to Jason who presented her a smile upon seeing her approach.
“You can’t blame her,” Kimberly’s voice interrupted Trini’s thoughts. They went to stand in their fighting stance, “She has no clue of how you feel… or what she’s doing wrong.”
The two girls started to throw light punches at each other, “And she’s just training with him,” Kimberly ducked, “-not sucking his face off,”
Trini put more power in her punch this time, causing Kimberly to stumble back a bit - clearly not expecting it. Trini kept silent and so did Kimberly after that. Everyone fought each other for a while before Alpha 5 walked up to them again.
“Okay, Trini, can you join Jason and Y/N? She needs help perfecting her movements. Kimberly, join the guys and try out some slip-grab-flip techniques.” He ordered and started to talk to Billy.
Kimberly gave her friend a look which clearly said: control yourself, be nice, before leaving to train with the guys.
Trini’s feet led her to the duo, even though her mind wanted her to walk the opposite way.
“Y/N got all the moves down, she just needs to be less insecure about performing them. It all needs to be more smooth.” Jason took on his leadership role and started to instruct the girls.
“Trini and I will demonstrate for you,”
The yellow ranger rose her eyebrows before thinking of what Kimberly had tried to tell her and suck it in.
Trini blocked Jason’s punch and ducked away when he tried to kick her. She came back up once she stood behind him, grabbing him in a headlock. This was exactly what the demonstration was supposed to look like, however, Trini squeezed a bit too hard causing Jason to yelp out.
“Trini!” Y/N yelled at her friend. Trini immediately let go. Jason coughed and started to rub his neck while Y/N came to check on him.
Zack approached. “Who stepped on your tail today?”
“Yeah, what’s wrong with you?” Jason managed to bring out after a few seconds, “You’ve been like this for weeks. Get your shit together, man. You’re ruining the team spirit.”
“Oh,” Trini scoffed, “I am?”
“Guys, I suggest we shouldn’t-” Billy tried but got cut off by Trini.
“You have been showing up late to every training and I am the one messing things up?” She shot.
The group fell quiet for a moment, no one knew what to say and if they did, they were afraid it would make things worse.
“I’m sorry,” Y/N finally decided to be the first to break the uncomfortable silence. “I feel like… ever since I joined you guys, things have been different. I obviously don’t know how things were before… but I just-” She stopped herself, not knowing what to say.
Alpha 5 padded into the pit and saw the group of teens gathered together. Not truly knowing how to read human feelings, he just thought they were chatting, not seeing how on edge some of them looked.
“Hey! Back to training,”
Jason gave Trini a look before Billy and Zack took him to train with them. Kimberly took it upon her to try and get rid of the uneasiness that was still lingering in the air.
“Let’s see how we can help you,” She directed to Y/N and grabbed Trini’s arm to keep her from staring Jason down.
“Actually, Trini,” Y/N locked eyes with the yellow ranger in front of her, “Could we maybe talk really quick?”
Trini nodded and followed Y/N to the steps that led back to the ship. They sat down, out of earshot of everyone and looked at how they were training.
“What’s going on?” The purple ranger asked with a stern look in her eyes since she really wanted to know what was going on.
Trini sighed, deciding to just go with it.
“It’s not always cool to see you hang out with Jason all the time. I’d like to spend time with you, too, but he’s always with or around you,” she revealed.
Y/N widened her eyes, immediately apologizing. “I’m so sorry, I never realized it looked like I am picking favourites. He’s just a nice guy and the first friend I had before I met you guys and truth be told, I like all of you guys, equally.” The girl sighed. “It just always seemed like you were fed up with me… as if you didn’t want me here. You’re always grumpy whenever I’m with you guys.”
Trini chuckled, “That’s ‘cause you’re always with Jason,” She cleared her throat, “In all honesty, I would love to spend some time with you… without Jason that is.”
Y/N laughed, relieved that she wasn’t the problem of Trini’s discomfort.
“Well, in all honesty, I’d love to spend some time with you, too… just us.”
Trini smiled widely, “I’d love that,” She nodded.
“First you gotta do something for me, though,” Y/N pursed her lips, “Go apologize to Jason,”
The yellow ranger scrunched up her face, “But I-” She immediately stopped when she saw the look on the face of the girl next to her.
“Fine, but we’re hanging out after training, deal?”
“Deal.”

That Should Be Me
@powwow-rangers asked: Can you do a Trimberly + Reader in which Kim and the reader are dating and stuff, and Trini doesn't seem... jealous, exactly but just... really sad? Like shes suddenly a lot more quiet and Angsty™ and sorta pushing everyone away and everyone is concerned. I don't really know what else would happen lol, but yeah that would be great! (The reason would obviously be because she's super gay for both of them, and is a bit heart broken they're together.)
@zacktxylor @jxsonscott @daisyyjohnsons Y’ALL WANT SOME ANGST???
A/N: Angst, no happy ending because I like making people S U F F E R. Also this isn’t my best, I’m sorryyyyy
Your name: submit What is this?
That should be me. I wish it could be me, holding at least one of their hands in mine, and kissing their lips, and making them smile…
To Trini, this was a nightmare. The two most beautiful people, two people she had ever desired so much more than her past relationships…they were together. Gone. Out of her reach. Just like that.
But really, she should be happy right? They were in love, together and making each other smile. They deserved each other, for they were the suns, stars that glimmered so brightly in the sky.
What was she to them? Their beauty? The sheer radiance that glitters off of them like they were made out of all that glittered and shone like gold.
She was nothing. She was Trini, and she had nothing to give them
So she leaves, distancing herself from her friends, never coming over to their weekend slumber parties when she just knows that Y/N and Kim will be all cuddly and it makes her die on the inside like they don’t even know what they were doing to her. It rolls off of their backs while she is dying of a broken heart; and they knew nothing.
Good. They deserved better, she…she could handle it.
Trini doesn’t answer their calls, is always the first to leave their classes that they have together, she doesn’t want anything to do with either Kim or Y/N. It hurts. So much. She doesn’t know how long she can endure it. For she cries in the lonely times of the night, at three in the morning and wants to call them so badly. Anyone.
But she can’t.
She doesn’t want them to know.
“Has anyone seen Trini?” you ask your group, once they all met over at the train yard, bags of snacks in hand and looking between everyone. “I haven’t seen her in weeks. “Me either. She’s been avoiding us like the plague.” Kimberly adds in her observations, a frown creasing pink-tainted lips. “I’m worried about her. She hasn’t been getting my calls to come meet us today.”
“You know what?” Zack suddenly says, pulling out his phone, rapidly texting away on the screen. “We’re coming over there to find her.” He sends a look over to both Billy and Jason, “And when I say we, I mean the two of you.” He points his fingers at you and your girlfriend accusingly, causing the both of you to blink in confusion.
“Why?” Kimberly asks, arms across her chest. “We’re a team, let’s go together.” “Uh…mom has things for me to do today.” Billy answers with a nervous grin.
“Zack and I are coming to help Billy uh…move things into his room.” Jason says, putting an arm around his boyfriend’s shoulders.
You and Kim share a look, shrugging your shoulders. Alright, time to get to the bottom of this.
Trini refused to see you when you and Kim came over that day, and it wasn’t until the next school day when you two saw her. Just as she begins to leave the class, you and Kim run after her. Your hand gently wraps around hers, making the tiny girl face you. “Hey Trini.”
A neutral face, then a scowl, and she yanks her hand away. “Hey.”
“We’ve missed you, where have you been? You haven’t been returning our calls.” Kimberly speaks from a place of concern, worry evident in her eyes. “Talk to us.”
Trini stays silent, turning her head away. “It’s nothing, really, don’t worry about it.” So she says, attempting to brush past the two of you.
“Trini,” Kimberly gently takes her by the shoulder. “Whatever it is that’s bothering you, please tell us.”
A glare, a sigh, a confession. “I’m in love with both of you.”
Silence.
“What?” you croak out, staring at your friend with wide eyes. “Trini…I…” “I said I’m in love with the two of you, okay?” Trini yanks Kim’s hand off of her. “I…I’m happy for the two of you, yeah, but like, it hurts seeing you like this.” She inhales deeply. “I want to be the one who is making you two happy, but I know that isn’t possible right now. So…” she shuffles, and soon she turns. “Goodbye.” And with that, she runs off.

Operation Lemonade: Trini Kwan X Reader
Request: Could you do one for Trini where Trini really likes the reader and the reader makes the first move (you can make the reader a ranger or not)
Prompt: You were the popular girl in school, and Trini had a major crush on you, but was too shy to say anything about that. You, on the other hand, aren’t.
Word Count: 1,468
Warnings: Shipper best friends (because they’re really dangerous in fiction and reality, as I’ve learned), fluuuuuff
Author’s Note: Sorry this took so long to post. My school year is ending and I need to get my community service hours in and study for my biology exams. Also, I have this headcanon that even though Trini has a hard exterior, I think that she’s super shy when it comes to love so bare with me.
You were a fairly popular girl in school; you weren’t mean or bitchy like some of the others, but you were kind, so it was natural that people liked you. You didn’t use your “power” over others to hurt them but to help them. That’s how Trini Kwan fell in love you.
People just loved to get on her nerves before she was a Power Ranger and had the ability to kick their ass. So when a prick of a guy decided to start following her around and taunt her with slurs and other rude words, you knew you had to step in. And because you stood up for her, that guy never picked on Trini ever again, and Trini… well, she blushed if you even glanced her way with those beautiful eyes of yours. She wanted to let you know how she felt, to just kiss you and have you kiss back, but she was so worried that you were straight that she stayed where she was, never speaking up about how she truly felt.
Then, you were assigned to choose partners in your history class. You smiled, for neither you nor Trini had any good friends in that class that you could try to work with. You turned in your seat and looked back at Trini.
“Do you want to be my partner?” You asked.
Trini looked around a bit, not realizing that you were, in fact, talking to her. She stammered, “W-What?”
“I said, do you want to be my partner? As you, Trini Kwan?” You giggled. “I mean, it’s alright if you don’t-”
“No, no!” She exclaimed quickly. “I do! I-I’m just surprised you asked me is all.”
“Why wouldn’t I?” You raised an eyebrow in thought.
Trini never answered your question, for the bell that signified the ending of class and the end of the day sounded throughout the school. Thinking quickly, you grabbed a piece of paper and write down your number before sliding it over to Trini.
“Here’s my number. Text me later and we can decide where to start working on our project. I’ll see you soon, okay?” You explained, standing up and slinging your bag over your shoulder.
Trini could only nod in response, to which you nodded back and gave a kind smile. Trini watched as your figure disappeared through the doorway. She could barely move her body, but she was somehow able to make her way towards her locker, a stunned expression on her face. She noticed her friends standing there, looking around, seeming to wonder where she was. How long was she sitting in that classroom for?
The others saw Trini walking up and immediately knew something was off. Her shocked face must have given it away.
“Um, Trini, you okay?” Jason spoke up first.
“Yeah…”
“You sure?” Kimberly questioned. “You look a little… uh, distracted?”
“I, um, I think Y/N just gave me her number.”
“What?!” The others yelled in unison.
“You’re serious?!” Billy shouted.
“Will you guys calm down?” Trini seethed through gritted teeth, feeling embarrassed that a few stragglers in the hallway began to stare.
“How can we calm down when Operation Lemonade is in action?” Kimberly spoke, grinning like an idiot.
“Operation Lemonade? What the hell is that?”
“Getting you and Y/N together since she’s all you seem to want to talk about! Duh!” Jason rolled his eyes playfully.
“Okay, but why that name?”
“Um, you’re the yellow ranger and lemonade is sweet and yellow,” Zack said the first part to make sure no one heard him. “Think, Trini, think!”
“Right,” Trini drawled. “Well, I’m just going to go now… I don’t know if I’ll make it to training tonight, but we’ll see, okay?”
“Oh, take as much time off as you need to!” Billy smiled.
“Don’t do anything stupid!”
Trini came over your house later that night, and you were a wreck, to say the least. You were hurrying to clean up the pieces of clothes lying about your bedroom floor and making sure everything was properly in order. You even went to the limit where you had to make sure the angle of your lamp was perfect. You rummaged through your kitchen, making sure you had some snacks to munch on in case of impending hunger and or embarrassment.
“So, who’s coming over?” You looked over your shoulder and saw your sibling leaning against the railing with a stupid grin on their face.
“None of your business.”
“Is it your crush, Trini Kwan?”
“Wha-? How’d you-?”
“I heard you talking to your best friend on the phone earlier.” They responded.
“So then why did you ask if you already knew?”
“You know, I didn’t think about that.”
“You’re an idiot.”
There was a soft knock on the door shortly after that, and you forcefully shooed your sibling off to their bedroom, hoping that they would refrain from being cantankerous for just one night. You bit down on your lip once and brushed away your flyaway strands of hair before opening up the door and seeing the beauty before you.
You could tell that Trini had put a lot of thought into her outfit and the way her hair was done that night, probably in an attempt to impress you. You, however, thought she didn’t have to dress any certain way. Still, she was stunning to you in that moonlight.
“Trini,” You genuinely grinned. “Please, come in.”
When Trini walked through the door, you noticed her slight blush rising as she gazed around your house. She quickly said, “Y-Your house is nice.”
“Thanks,” You said while shutting the door. “Here, we can head up to my room to start working on the project.”
“Your room?” Trini repeated.
“That’s not a problem, is it?” You asked hopefully. In truth, you just wanted a closed off area so nobody could disturb you and Trini without a lock getting in the way. “We could work in the living room if you-”
“No, that’s alright! Uh, lead the way.”
You started heading to your bedroom, and you opened the door, revealing your inner sanctum. Trini set her stuff on your bed, obviously feeling a bit awkward to be sitting there. You two began spouting ideas to each other for the project, but you two never properly looked each other in the eye, probably due to the fact that you were both blushed furiously and didn’t want the other to see. About thirty minutes through, you knew enough was enough.
“Hey, do you want to take a break?” You asked. “I have some snacks downstairs if you want any.”
“Oh, um, I’m alright.” Trini smiled. “Thanks.”
“Well,” You hummed. “If you don’t want to eat now, how about we both go out to eat tomorrow night?”
Trini sat completely still, only managing to let out a small “Huh?” in confusion. For the first time that night, Trini actually stared you in the eyes.
You scratched the back of your head and sighed, “Not the ideal way to ask someone on a date, but a girl can at least try, right? So… what do you say?”
“... I once again say ‘huh?’” Trini gulped.
“I sort of have known about your crush for a while now… And, if it isn’t already obvious, I like you back… So, I was thinking that maybe you and I could go out tomorrow if you’re free and all. Hell, you can even choose where we go if you want!”
Trini just locked eyes with you and seemed to be unable to look away. You were about to tell her to forget you ever said anything, but Trini surged forward, smashing her soft lips to yours. You stumbled back a bit, but Trini followed you, causing you to have to steady yourself quickly. Once you finally realized what was happening, you kissed her back, getting a true taste of her strawberry-flavored lip balm. You used one hand to steady yourself and the other to let your fingers run through her silky hair. Everything around you stopped, and for as long as you could hold your breath, it was just her kissing you.
When you two finally broke apart for air, you gently laughed, “You know, most wait for the kiss after the first date.”
“What can I say?” Trini laughed with you, gaining a sudden feeling of confidence. “I’ve been waiting to do that for too long, you know.”
“Hey, I’m not complaining.” You said before kissing her again.
Needless to say, you two didn’t exactly get much of that project done that night.
Trini called Kimberly later that night, and the first thing she heard on the other line was, “Operation Lemonade a go?”
Trini laughed, “Yes, it’s a go. Now can we please stop calling it Operation Lemonade?”

Passing Detention Notes
Disclaimer: ART IS NOT MINE. NOT QUITE SURE WHERE IT’S FROM SO I’M SORRY IF I PISS SOMEONE OFF. JUST LEMME KNOW AND I’LL FIX IT BY ADDING YOUR CREDIT. SORRY BRUV.
Zack sat in a desk near the back of the class for detention. His desk usually faced the back wall, but Zack usually sat on the chair backwards and observed the class or randomly tapping along to whatever song he was listening to. He noticed that his friends generally actually got some work done during this time. He watched Kimberly pull out her Biology textbook while Billy pulled out some maps and colored pencils. Jason was furrowing his eyebrows at a math textbook, and Trini was reading a book that was assigned in English.
Zack sighed. He had gotten his work for class done already. His teammates found it surprising that he was still able to be a student at Angel Grove High since he was never in class. In all honesty, he got much of his work from his teachers through emails, so he was able to get some work done. After all, there wasn’t much to do up in the mines. He usually sat inside the abandoned train car and got some work done, just enough to make sure that he would be able to graduate. The school didn’t like it, but Zack thought that as long as he was still passing, it would be alright.
Now that he was back in school with his friends, he actually did quite well in classes. He still spent a lot of time in his hideout, so he got a lot of work done.
Zack was bored out of his mind. Detention wouldn’t be over for another 2 hours or so. He smiled and took out a piece of paper from his bag. The other rangers were still concentrating on their homework, but Zack was sure they would notice what was about to happen. Sure enough, when Zack tossed the folded up paper at Jason, he instinctively reached up and caught it between his fingers.
He looked back at Zack, confused. Zack just smirked and gestured at Jason to open it.
And so it began: The Epic Detention Note String.
Zack: Hey! I’m bored, so we’re gunna play a little game of catch with this slip of paper. Write down a note with your name and pass it on! If you miss a toss, miss a catch, or end up getting caught, you lose! Just keep passing till the paper runs out of space! Doodle if you want!
Jason: I’m busy, so don’t blame me if I miss.
Billy: Sounds fun! Totally gunna sabotage.
Kimberly: Drawing time! Sorry it took me forever.
Zack: HOW DID YOU DO THAT IN LIKE 3 MINUTES! TF!
Trini: My girlfriend’s better than all of you.
Billy: My turn!
Jason: LOL accurate. How are you people drawing these things so fast?!
Billy: I don’t know. How are we passing this paper around at superhuman speeds?
Kimberly: He has a point. (NICE BILLY)
Trini: … Kudos.
Zack: I’m not sure whether to be flattered or insulted.
Kimberly: *doodles Go Go with power rangers lightning in corner*
Trini: FUCK I DROPPED IT.
Jason: And the first person drops out!
Kimberly: She looks so angry LMAO
Billy: SABOTAGE!
Zack: BILLY! WHY! I ALMOST DROPPED IT! WHAT DID YOU PUT ON IT?! ITS SO SLIPPERY! PAPER ISN’T SUPPOSED TO BE SLIPPERY!
Billy: LOL. Vaseline.
Jason: Woah. That was really slippery. The paper’s still in pretty good shape though….
Kimberly: LOL. THAT WAS THE WORST TOSS I’VE EVER SEEN. HE ALMOST FELL OUT OF HIS CHAIR! Mr. Bossman is out!
Zack: Agh, too bad. At least he isn’t smearing it anymore, being left handed and all.
Billy: SABOTAGE!
Zack: BILLY! STOP! I FUCKING DROPPED IT! DAMN! Welp, Zack-Attack is out!
Kimberly: Did he seriously call himself “Zack-Attack”
Billy: … *doodles bees in the margin of the paper*
Kimberly: We should start a band! *Doodles power ranger lightning bolt with power ranger colors*
Billy: Yes!
Kimberly: I WIN BITCHES! BILLY FAILS AT SUBTLETY! THE TEACHER TOTALLY LOOKED SHOCKED.
Jason: We just passing it around now?
Billy: DANG IT!
Trini: Told you she was better than you guys.
Zack: Yo! Go Hart!
Jason: Guys, team meeting tonight by the campfire. We are discussing this band thing…. I call lead guitarist!
Trini: No fair! We are totally hashing this out tonight.
Zack: Ok ok. I think the writing should stop. We’ll just pass it to everyone to keep everyone updated. If it gets back to me. I’ll put the paper away. We are doing this again!
Trini: I’ll win next time…
Zack smirked down at the page in front of him. His teammates wrote everywhere on the paper, marking where the next line was with arrows and dashed lines. The paper looked like a road map full of words and little drawings. His friends were all looking back and forth from each other, silently chuckling. Zack took out another sheet of paper and wrote all their names down in separate rows. He gave Kim a “point”. Oh, I am totally crushing them next time. He put away the paper they wrote on for safe-keeping. He wanted to remember these moments.
The detention bell rang, and all the students began gathering their things. The rangers burst out laughing and immediately gathered. Zack displayed the scoreboard he made and they all laughed and commented on different types of games they could play.
They exited the building, and Zack thought to himself as the sunlight beat down on them. He was glad he met them. They were good for him.

'HEIGHTS'
gif belongs to me
After helping Billy fight against the putties on the rocky hillside Trini became determined to climb the rope at the Youth Centre. You were at home when she called, asking you to meet her there, and knew from her voice that she was nervous about conquering her fear of heights.
Trini was sitting chatting to Ernie when you arrived and you both headed to the rope. You heard her exhale and put your hands on her arms, rubbing gentle patterns with your thumbs. "You've got this. I'll be right here ready to catch you."
She placed a hand over yours before approaching the rope. She took a deep breath before beginning to pull herself higher up the rope. When the rope began to swing, she tightened her grip and looked down at you, seeing the smile on your lips.
"I've got you. Don't worry. Just keep looking up."
Jason, Kimberly, Billy, and Zack arrived, the latter keeping his hands behind his back as everyone watched Trini climb higher. When she reached the top, you grinned as the others cheered.
"You did it!"
In her excitement Trini loosened her grip, slipping down slightly and she quickly clutched the rope, looking down and immediately regretting it.
"It's alright, climb on down." You reassured her.
Trini shook her head, closing her eyes until she heard you say, "I've got you. I promise I won't let you fall."
She took a deep breath, nodding, before slowly beginning to descended the rope. When your hand reached her thigh, you grinned as she let go and held her to your chest, spinning her around before setting her feet on the ground.
"I told you, you could do it!"
"Yeah, that was great climbing." Kimberly smiled.
Trini smiled as she stared up at you for a moment before turning to her friends, her eyes widening when Zack jumped forward wearing a Halloween mask, and you watched as she shrieked, climbing the rope in less than a minute. Your eyebrows raised in surprise and amusement which you tried to hide when she looked down at you all from the top.
"Yeah, it really looks like you've overcome your fear of heights."
He took the mask off, chuckling as he waved it around. You suppressed the smile on your lips as Trini shook her head, rolling her eyes to the ceiling before she began to climb down, much more confidently this time. You rested your hands on her waist as she dropped the remaining distance to the ground.
She turned to meet your gaze, "I saw you smiling."
A chuckle left your lips, and you cleared your throat trying to disguise it, but failed to do so. "You climbed the rope really fast, it has to break some kind of record."
She attempted to maintain an annoyed expression but a smile formed on her lips, and you kissed her forehead. "I'm proud of you for conquering your fear of heights."
"Thank you."

Headcanons for Dating Trini
A/N: Requested by anon. Reader is not a Power Ranger, if you would like one where Reader is a Ranger, just send me a request~ Headcanon requests are OPEN! (This got long, I apologize, I just love Trini so much and have so much to say)
@zacktxylor @ladieslovingladiesandfics @themorphinggrid
When you first start dating Trini she is on Cloud 9.
She likes to hold your hand or lean on you, it reminds her that you and the relationship are real.
She almost thinks everything is too good to be real, and when she comes to school the day after asking you out she asks Zack if it was a dream.
She is so protective over you.
If someone even looks at you meanly, she is ready to fight them.
You’ve had to pull her back from a few confrontations several times because someone gave you a dirty look or was whispering about you.
The first few months of your relationship are amazing, and then some bad guy comes to town.
It really hits Trini that it was going to be very hard being a super hero while dating someone who didn’t know her secret identity.
She knows she is supposed to keep it a secret, but it starts to eat away at her.
The thought of you getting hurt because of her was the the first thing that came to mind.
But what really weighed down on her was her dying trying to save the universe and her never getting to tell you goodbye.
One night, she sneaks into your room to tell you everything.
It was 1am and she was talking extremely fast. You were dazed and confused and thought her sitting on your bed and saying she was the Yellow Power Ranger was a dream.
Once you fully woke up you asked what was happening, and she stood up, and morphed into her armor.
Trini was terrified you would leave her, and before ever telling you about it she accepted the fact that you could leave her over this.
When she told you, you stood from your bed and pulled her into a hug.
You didn’t know what it was like being a super hero, but you knew if you were in her position you would need support.
After she tells you, things just go up form there.
There isn’t a day that goes by where you don’t think about her possibly getting hurt, but that thought drives you to do everything you can with her.
You go on dates whenever you two can.
You like to go to cafes or fast food places for lunch or dinner.
If you two want to spend alone time together you’ll go to the mines and just talk about whatever.
You don’t go to her house too often because of her parents, but when you do her brothers always try to steal you away from her.
She goes to your house a lot, for sleepovers, movie nights, or to just relax.
If she has had a particularly stressful day, you’ll play with her hair or tickle her back. She falls to sleep almost instantly.
She will always do the same with you if you are stressed.
She is tiny and will steal all of your warmth.
She will cuddle up to you and wrap herself around you and you will become her Personal Heater.
She is an A+ girlfriend and will always make sure you are taking care of yourself.
She can sometimes be aggressive though, but she just wants to make sure you aren’t too cold, or overworking yourself, and that you are staying hydrated.
You two are really cute and everyone aspires to have a relationship like yours.

"I'm so sorry Jason...", the voice of Billy sounded so far away. Jason looked at his friend with tears in his eyes. "Its my fault...I couldn't protect them...I should have saved them", Kimberly placed a hand on his shoulder. "It wasn't your fault Jason", she said with a softness in her voice. "She is right Jason, there's nothing you could have done", Zack agreed with Kimberly and tried to give Jason a smile. "(Y/N) wouldn't want for you to take the blame", Trini looked at Jason and gave him a hug. "We will find the one who did this to them and we will kill them", added she with a little smile.
"We will avenge you (Y/N). I promise", Jason looked at the sky and he could have sword that he heard your voice saying for the last time that you loved him.

Summary: Zack sees a girl watching a video of the power rangers’ latest victory which someone posted online. He starts to talk to her, telling her why the black ranger is the best, unbeknownst that Y/N is the new, mysterious purple ranger.
Ever since Angel Grove’s Krispy Kreme had been restored again - after Rita razed it to the ground all those months ago - Zack and the other rangers had been visiting the place a lot. Mostly after school or after training. However, sometimes, when he needed some distraction from his situation at home, he’d find himself sitting in a corner of the shop, observing people or making small talk with some girls.
Zack walked into Krispy Kreme and while his eyes scanned the place, they fell onto a girl sitting on her own. She was focused on the laptop screen in front of her but quickly looked up to thank the employee who put down her order in front of her.
Though he didn’t know her personally, he did recognize her as the new girl in town. Deciding he wanted to get to know her, he mustered up some courage and stepped up to her.
“You’re new!” One of his famous smiles plastered on his face as he watched her look up, taking out her earphones.
“Um-, what-, yeah!” The girl cleared her throat, deciding it wouldn’t be so bad to talk to some new people since she didn’t know anyone yet. Besides, she deemed the guy in front of her genuine and nice enough to get to know.
“I’m Y/N, and you are?”
“I’m Zack,” He sat himself down next to her and straddled the chair, his gaze shifting to the video on her laptop.
“Power Rangers, huh?” Zack gave a lopsided grin - he always loved it when he caught people appreciating his team.
Y/N nodded meekly and shut the screen halfway.
“Who’s your favourite?” Zack crossed his arms on top of the chair, laying his head on them, waiting for her answer.
“The purple one,” She replied without having to think.
Zack rose his eyebrows upon hearing that answer. Recently, a purple ranger had helped them out but no one knew who she was, seeing as she always immediately left after a fight was over.
He nodded, “Really? What about the black one?”
Y/N looked away, clearly thinking of what to say, “Nah man, he’s great, but he’s too reckless sometimes. Doesn’t think his decisions through. It always works out in the end, yes, but purple is still my favourite... or yellow, she seems cool, too.”
Zack smirked and a laugh left his mouth. “You really thought this through, huh?”
The girl smiled in response, “Yes, of course, they’re our heroes. Gotta know something about them, right?!” She took a sip of her drink, quickly side eyeing the guy next to her before looking back upon seeing him stare back.
“Then what’s so great about the purple one?” Zack wanted to know.
Y/N cleared her throat, seeming kind of taken aback, “Well,” She started, “She’s agile and her fighting technique is smart but effective. Though she mostly does her own thing, she still works well in the team. Plus, unlike black, she doesn’t just jump with her enemies off a cliff just to show off..” The girl rolled her eyes.
Zack furrowed his eyebrows, definitely not agreeing with what she said,
“That’s not true. He’s not showing off, he’s just... having fun with it. And throwing some off a cliff is effective, too.” He defended himself, not really liking the critique he was getting.
“He could kill four more at the same time it takes him to fall down, kill and jump back up that mountain.” Y/N gave the boy a challenging look. Zack let go of the chair and turned it to face the girl more. He was lost for words for a few seconds. He had only ever heard girls gushing about the Black Power Ranger. Never had one criticized his choices or fighting tactics - partly also because no normal girl knew enough about it to criticize.
“Still, that only happened once,” He felt the need to justify. “So what about the Pink Power Ranger? Got anything to say about her?”
Y/N nodded, “She’s very elegant with her moves but also knows how to kick ass. She might not always take situations head-on like yellow does, but she’s got some balls, too... she’s sharp.”
“Red?”
The girl took no time to think of an answer, “Seems like the leader to me. Always initiates and the others follow his example. He’s fast, determined and is always making plan B’s or planning his next moves.”
Zack decided not to ask about the others, realizing this girl knew what was up.
“And you know all of this by watching videos of them?”
Y/N nodded, opening her screen once again which showed a video of their latest victory.
“But that doesn’t make sense, these are all clips from after they’ve won. None truly show you what happened in the fight. No one’s there anyway, it’s too dangerous for civilians.”
He examined the girl’s face and noticed her eyes showed some hesitation but she just shrugged it away.
“I’m just pretty good at guessing?” She gave him an awkward smile before taking yet another sip of her drink.
Zack kept looking at her for a few seconds before the bell of the store rang. They both looked up and saw the rest of the team stand in the doorway, making their way inside.
Zack stood up, “I liked our talk, Y/N, but I gotta go to my friends now,”
“Hey, wait,” The girl started, “You never told me your favourite ranger?”
He gave the girl one of his flirty smiles, long forgotten what had just happened. He examined her for a bit longer and noticed the many purple bracelets around her wrists.
“I like purple,”
