Knowing Her - Kimberly Hart x Fem!Reader
You’d known of Kimberly Hart for a long time. The two of you had attended the same schools since you were 4 years old. The two of you never really spoke, you’d done some group work and presentations together growing up but the two of you were not friends, barely acquaintances. You knew of what she did to make her friends hate her and what her boyfriend at the time said to get his tooth punched out by her.
But you also knew she had a new group of friends who accepted her for who she is. That’s why you were weirded out by one of them watching you as you sat down to eat one day. You just tried to ignore it as you ate your pasta pot. You shifted slightly as you continued to try eat before moving onto continuing to read from your Social Psychology textbook.
That was until you glanced up and someone was sat in front of you.
“You’re Y/n, right?” You put down your water bottle after screwing the top back on. “Can I help you?”
“My friend wants to ask you-”
“Zack, what the hell? Leave Y/n alone.” You paused as you realised who spoke. Kimberly Hart remembered your name? That’s a new one. The weird looks between her and Zack were new too but you just let your eyes fixate back on your textbook.
“Come on, just ask her-”
“Zack, please just drop it.”
Zack and Kimberly were beginning to bicker as Trini Kwan-Gomez and Jason Scott came over to try break it up. You shifted uncomfortably at this. Way too many people were around you that you barely knew right now. The tightness in your chest was uncomfortable as it manifested, causing you to scramble to collect your things and get away from the situation.
Billy was the one who saw you hurry away.
“Guys, guys, guys!” The four automatically went quiet as they looked at him.
“I think you scared her away...”
“Oh crap...” Kim mumbled, remembering something she’d heard from one of her old friends as she hurried after you.
Her face fell as she put the pieces together, finding your backpack on the floor of the toilets, you were curled up with your arms around your knees that were pressed up to your chest.
In that moment you felt so small. Just wanting it all to stop. The lingering weight on your chest and ache in your stomach to stop. Your breathing wasn’t relaxing any time soon either. You just wanted it all to stop. Everything to go quiet so you could calm down.
Her voice broke through your walls of panic.
“Y/n...” You glanced up to look at her, a whimper on your lips as you tried to back away from her but the wall stopped you. “It’s okay, you’re safe, I just want to help.” Kim whispered, carefully approaching as she realised you were being receptive to her and not flinching at her approaching.
“Hey...” She whispered, sitting down next to you on the bathroom floor as you leaned into her. The two of you were sat on the floor, you trying to calm down and breathe as Kim continued to quietly talk you through it all.
She had from her friends you had had panic attacks before because of how someone had seen you had to leave before because of them but nobody had done anything then. She was doing something now though.
Her arms wrapped around you as you’d leaned into her, holding you close as exhaustion lingered over you, trying to combat the nerves inside of your chest.
“It’s okay, you’re okay...” Kim whispered causing you to begin to calm down, your breathing calming a bit as the heavy feeling reduced itself.
“Thank you... I’m sorry...” You began to apologise but Kim shushed you gently with a finger on your lips. “It’s okay, don’t apologise, you’re okay... I wanted to help...” Kim lingered off causing you to frown.
“Why? We barely know each other?” You questioned, looking confused as Kim bit her lip.
“Maybe I want to get to know you better Y/n...” Kim admitted causing you to look at her wide eyed. “I’m still surprised you know my name...but I’d like to get to know you too...” You responded causing Kim to frown.
“Why wouldn’t I know your name? You’re Y/n S/n, we did a group presentation last semester together with your friend, Kodak, right, they do photography?” Kim questioned causing you to nod.
“Yeah, Kodak isn’t here today though... they usually help if they can but... yeah...”
“Kim, Y/n, you in here?” Trini paused as she walked in, spotting the two of you sat on the floor.
“Class has started, we kinda gotta go...” Trini explained, awkwardly, giving the two of you soft looks as Kim looked at you, wondering if you were okay to go to class.
You wiped under your eyes and nodded, accepting Kim’s hand to help you up. The two of you didn’t let go of each other’s hands as you walked down the corridor, following Trini to your next class.

pride month challenge - day fifteen - believe trimberly - frozen treats
For the longest time, Kimberly Hart didn’t believe that Trini Gomez existed. From the day Trini first walked into Angel Grove High and passed Kim in the hallway, their eyes meeting and gazes locking the entire time until they were out of sight, Kim was sure Trini couldn’t actually exist. The shorter girl walked in with her headphones around her neck, her long, luscious hair down around her shoulders, and hands deep in her pockets. She had a way about her that was a mix of uncertain but uncaring. And she was beautiful. There were plenty of good looking people at Angel Grove High, but none were beautiful like Trini.
Every time Kim passed Trini in the hall, then just the unnamed new girl, her eyes met Kim’s and the two girls held a deep stare until they passed each other. Never exchanged a word or a smile. And every time it made Kim’s heart pound and her palms sweat. She never saw anyone walking with Trini and she never saw Trini stop to talk to any friends. She was always alone. So Kim started to believe that the girl was a figment of her imagination. Either way, Kim couldn’t try to talk to her. Kim was at the top of the social ladder and Trini was no one. Kim shouldn’t have even noticed her. But she did. She got used to the exact times of day that they would pass one another, and she looked forward to each one. She never left class late or stayed too long at her locker, because she never wanted to miss it. She concocted stories in her head of who Trini really was, and she longed for the courage to stop and say hello. Or to just smile at her.
Over the summer Kim partied with her friends and pretended to have fun. It really wasn’t that much fun. None of it had been lately. She was tired of the whole thing. She was tired of the people she was surrounded with all the time. But she needed them. She needed her place in the world, and needed their attention. One day, a few weeks into the break, she and her friends went to the frozen yogurt shop. She got in line with the girls and talked and laughed with them, and soon the line cleared before them and they were at the front, and Trini was there behind the counter. She looked at them with a bored expression and raised her brows. No greeting. Just waiting. Kim wondered if she imagined the girl again, but then Amanda was talking to her; rudely. Trini didn’t seem to care how Amanda treated her. She just scooped the fat-free frozen dessert into a cup and handed it to Amanda. Then her eyes were on Kim, and she had the same bored look on her face. Like she didn’t recognize the girl she had passed every day in school. Kim swallowed.
“One scoop of strawberry, please,” she said. She watched Trini scoop it and hand it out to her. “Thank you.” She took the cup of yogurt and swallowed as their fingers brushed. And the girl felt so real, so warm. Maybe she did exist. Kim took her cup and stepped aside to let her other friends order, and the entire time she watched the girl behind the counter. She finally let her eyes stray from her face and fall to her name tag, and she saw the name ‘Trini’. The girl had a name. A pretty name. Kim wanted to introduce herself, but that would be too weird. She and her friends left after that, but she thought about Trini all day. There was just something about her that intrigued Kim, and Kim wanted to know more about her.
The next day she spent the afternoon alone, and she found herself walking through the door of the yogurt shop again. Waited in line, waited for a moment of Trini’s time. Their eyes locked again, unlike the day before, and Trini stared at her for a moment before furrowing her brows.
“You want somethin’?” Trini asked, and her voice was heaven to Kim. She wanted to hear more.
“What would you suggest?” Her finger dragged slow shapes against the cool glass.
“Ice cream,” Trini said flatly.
Kim ignored her. “Can I sample the key lime?” Trini only grunted in reply, but she got a sample spoon and scooped some key lime for Kim. When she handed Kim the spoon, Kim took it and their fingers brushed again. Kim drew her hand back slowly and popped the spoon into her mouth. She hummed. “Can I try the double chocolate?”  She glanced behind herself and saw no one was in line and she smiled to herself. She went on to try every flavor the shop had so she could keep brushing her fingers to Trini’s, and to Trini’s credit she only seemed a little irritated with Kim. When she had tried them all, Kim thought about it. “I’ll have one scoop of strawberry,” she said. Trini rolled her eyes but scooped the strawberry and held out the cup to Kim.
“Three bucks,” Trini said.
Kim took out her card and held it out. “Thank you.” Trini nodded and ran the card before handing it back to Kim and sitting back on her stool behind the cooler. Kim smiled and went to find a table to sit at and she started to eat. She made sure she had a good view of Trini that wasn’t an obvious one, and she watched Trini with all the customers. When there were none, Trini read a book. She didn’t once look Kim’s way and that disappointed Kim. She decided she liked it best when kids came in, because Trini was friendly with the kids. She smiled at them and Trini had a gorgeous smile. When Kim was done she threw her cup away and slipped out the door with one more look over her shoulder. She caught Trini’s eyes flick up to catch hers before looking away again, and Kim walked off smiling.
For the next couple of weeks, Kim went to the frozen yogurt shop every day. She made her evening runs longer to compensate. She learned Trini’s schedule and left on days Trini wasn’t there. From there, she couldn’t help but go in every day she knew Trini would be there. She waited in line, got her strawberry yogurt, and sat and ate it while spying on Trini. It got to the point where Trini had her yogurt scooped the moment Kim walked up to the counter, and Kim loved it. She loved how, a month into her visits, she would be watching Trini behind the counter and would catch Trini glancing up from her book to look at Kim and quickly look away again.
It was about six weeks in when Trini came from behind the counter and sat down across from Kim in the empty shop. “You can’t really like strawberry frozen yogurt this much,” Trini said to her, the most the girl had ever spoken to her. “You and your friends Punkin’ me or something?” She looked at Kim suspiciously.
Kim stared at Trini, her spoon frozen halfway to her open mouth, and she didn’t know what to say for a moment. Then, with her hand still frozen, she narrowed her own eyes back at Trini. “...are you real?”
“What?”
“Nothing.” Kim put her cup of yogurt down and set the spoon in it before folding her hands between her legs. “I like yogurt,” she said, hoping she sounded convincing.
“No one likes yogurt this much,” Trini argued. “Look, I don’t know what your problem is with me, but I’m just trying to-”
“I don’t have a problem with you, Trini.”
“How do you know my name? I’ve never told you my name,” Trini said accusingly. Kim smirked and pointed to the red name tag Trini wore and she looked down at it then looked back up. “Oh. Right.”
“I really don’t have any motive,” Kim said. “I just...like it here.”
“There’s somethin’ wrong with you,” Trini replied, shaking her head. She got up. “Well thanks for never leaving me a mess to clean up.” And she walked back around the counter, sat on her stool, and opened her book.
And Kim knew she needed Trini to talk to her more. The next day she came in with her own book, and she sat down at her usual table with her strawberry yogurt and opened it up. She snuck a glance towards Trini and saw Trini trying to read the cover of it and Kim tried not to smirk. She was only a couple of pages in when she heard the metal chair across from her scrape across the floor before Trini sat in it.
“The Outsiders?”
“Hm?” Kim looked up, pretending to be surprised. “Oh, hello, Trini.”
“You’re reading The Outsiders?”
Kim raised a brow. “Are you surprised I’m reading or surprised by what I’m reading?”
“Both,” Trini said simply. Her face was blank and Kim couldn’t tell what she was thinking.
“Well, I do read,” Kim said. “And this is one I read every summer.”
“Is it your favorite?”
“No, my favorite book is The Princess Diaries.”
“...really?”
“Really,” Kim insisted. “It’s funny. And what teenage girl wouldn’t want to find out she’s a real princess?”
Trini raised her brows. “I mean...you kinda already are, huh? Kimberly Hart, Princess of Angel Grove High.”
“You know my name?”
“Everyone knows your name,” Trini drawled. “Like I said, Princess of Angel Grove High.”
“You say that like you know me.”
“I do know you, Princess. I’ve been to three highschools, I know girls like you.”
Kim felt cold suddenly. She closed her book and set it on the table. “If you don’t want me to make generalizations about you, don’t make any about me.”
“I go by what I see,” Trini said, her voice stubborn.
“Then maybe you shouldn’t be so blind,” Kim said cooly. She got up and picked up her book and her cup of yogurt. She walked across the shop and threw out her yogurt and left. She wasn’t going to sit and listen to someone who knew nothing about her life tell her how perfect it was.
Kim didn’t go back. She spent the rest of the summer wrapped up in her friends and her boyfriend, and she tried not to think about the girl behind the counter at the frozen yogurt shop. She knew she had probably overreacted a little, but she had wanted Trini to be different. She wanted Trini to really see her, and she hadn’t. She didn’t see Trini again until school started back. There Kim was in her biology class and she heard Trini’s name get called, heard Trini’s soft ‘here’. She looked over her shoulder and sure enough, there was Trini. Kim turned forward and pretended Trini didn’t exist except for the daily roll call that had her waiting breathlessly for Trini’s voice.
A couple of months passed and Kim lost her boyfriend, her friends, and her long locks. It was only days after she had chopped it off in the school bathroom that she was sitting in biology class and zoning out. In a way, it all felt good to suddenly be a no one and not have everyone’s eyes on her, but in another it was torture. People’s eyes were still on her. People enjoyed her downfall and they liked laughing at her misfortune. And she had wanted to get back to where she had been, but as she cut all of her long locks off she realized she was better than them. She didn’t need them. But it was still hard to start over. So all of that plagued her mind as she sat there in class, barely listening to her teacher, and when the bell rang she slowly got to her feet. She wasn’t in a rush to meet her friends between classes. She had no friends. So she took her time packing her backpack as students shuffled past her. And then she heard a voice behind her.
“Do you believe a person can be wrong about another person and feel really bad about it?”
Kim froze. She knew and recognized that voice. She looked over her shoulder and saw Trini shifting awkwardly on her feet, letting her long hair get in her face to hide behind. Kim swung her backpack over a shoulder and considered Trini’s words for several moments. Her heart was pounding just from the proximity of Trini to herself. One corner of her lips lifted slightly. “Yeah,” she said. “If they can admit they were wrong.”
“I was wrong,” Trini said. “I didn’t know you. I just...knew other girls and I realized you’re not like them.”
“So far I don’t think you’re like any girl I’ve ever known,” Kim admitted.
“I think...maybe we could both use a friend...if you wanna try to know me.”
“I think I’d like that,” Kim nodded, smiling more.
“Wanna walk to class together?”
“Sure,” Kim nodded. She waved to let Trini lead the way, and as they headed for the door together Kim found herself asking, “Do you believe you can see someone for the first time and know they’re meant to be in your life?”
Trini was quiet as they made their way into the hall and walked side by side, then she nodded. “I definitely believe that...Princess.”

“This is ridiculous.  You know that, right?”
From behind the fluffy white beard, it’s hard to make out Kim’s expression, but Trini’s almost sure she’s glaring at her.  Her answer comes out muffled, her hands gesturing broadly around them.
Trini steps forward and yanks down the offending item and—yep.  Kim’s glaring at her.  “Trini!” she whispers angrily.  “You’re ruining the illusion!”
“What illusion?  Christmas was two days ago.”
“But,” Kim sighs dramatically.  “You and Val were both puking, so it doesn’t count.”  She steps back and gestures to her outfit, complete with a pillow stuffed under the coat.  “Christmas came a little late this year.”
And—shit.  Trini’s absolutely Not going to cry, even though her eyes are definitely welling up.  It was a rough holiday season this year, she’s not going to lie.  Val came home early from daycare four days before the holiday running a temperature; Trini had the most flexible schedule, so she was the one that took time off to stay home with her, resulting in them both having the flu just in time to sleep through most of Christmas.
There was little to be done about it—kids get sick and so do parents, but Trini did feel a pang of guilt and heartsick worry when thinking about it.  Val was just getting old enough to start to really enjoy Christmas and she’d spent what little time she wasn’t napping on Christmas Eve crying.  Awful sobs, saying that she didn’t want Santa to come because he might get sick too.
Trini had cried.  Kim cried too, even if she tried to hide it, stepping into the hall to not let Val see.  It was quite the downer day in the Gomez-Hart household.
Trini absolutely refuses to cry over this, over her wife being so wildly wonderful.  This is a happy thing, right?  She needs to get her shit together.
“You are,” she starts, swallowing hard, “the absolute best mother and wife in the universe.”
It’s a little hard to hug her wife as tightly as she’d like, but they manage.  Kim grins, looking ridiculous with her beard loosely hanging down from the straps over her ears, her Santa hat off kilter.  The pillow poses a small problem until Trini unceremoniously shoves it to one side, steps closer, further into Kim’s space.
“You’re too good to us,” she murmurs, nuzzling into her wife’s neck.
Kim kisses the top of her head, hums, “You’re sweet.  But this is nothing compared to what you’ve given me.”
At that, Trini pauses.  Leans back to frown up at Kim.
“I just—.”  Kim fumbles for an explanation, her words tripping over each other.  “I never—I—.”
“Hey,” Trini soothes.  “You don’t need to explain.”
Kim stills, centers herself.  Closes her eyes briefly.  It’s quite the sight, her wife’s expression one of frustration even while she’s dressed up as Jolly Old Saint Nick.
When her eyes open again, they’re misty, but focused.  Not the faraway look Kim gets when she gets a little lost in her own head.
“This feels like such a small gesture,” she says earnestly.  “Because when we met, I genuinely could not imagine a future for myself, let alone one where my wife got sick because she was caring for our child.  I just—.”  Kim breaks off, frowning.  “I don’t think I’m saying this right.”
It’s too late, though.  Trini’s already fully crying now, wiping at her cheeks with a huff.  “I got ya, K,” she laughs thickly.  “And I feel the same.”
“About this being a small gesture?” Kim teases, wiping away the heavy, emotional atmosphere around them.
Trini rolls her eyes and groans.  “You know what I mean, you nerd.”
They pause, share a breath.  Quietly, Kim asks, “What are the chances of me getting sick if I kiss you right now?”
“Dunno,” Trini shrugs.  “But I feel like I’ve proven to be an excellent caretaker.”
“Noted.”
Kim tastes like peppermint—if Trini finds out that she ate the last of the candy canes, there will be hell to pay.  But that’s a later thing.  Her wife tastes like peppermint, her kiss warm and slick and enough to almost get Trini to forget about the candy cane thing.
She whines a little when Kim pulls away.
“We can continue that later,” Kim promises with a wink, earning another eye roll from Trini, even as she fights to regain composure.  “But first I want to make sure Val sees me.”
“Alright Santa, I’ll get the monster up.”
Kim slips the beard back on and readjusts her pillow belly.  “Careful, Trinity,” she warns in a low, Santa-ish voice.  “I might have to put you on the naughty list.”
Trini flips her off as she heads down the hall.
/
“Mija,” Trini coos, kneeling by the opened crib and brushing back the hair around her daughter’s face.  “Valeria, something special’s happening.”
Val barely stirs, wiped out even though she hasn’t thrown up in a day.  She curls towards the sound of Trini’s voice, lips smacking.
“Baby,” she tries again, brushing her thumb over Val’s cheek.  “You must have been a very good girl this year,” she says quietly.  “Because someone very important came to see you.”
“Mama?”
“Can you wake up a little, sweetheart?”
Val rolls onto her back and blinks sleepily.  “Up?” she asks and, god, she’s just too sweet, her bottom lip jutting out, looking just like Kim when she pouts.
Trini stands, leans over to pick her daughter up.  Val lays her head down on Trini’s shoulder quickly, twisting her fingers in the material of her mother’s sleep shirt.  “Who here?” she yawns into Trini’s shoulder.
“You’ll just have to see.”
Their house has a tiny fireplace and Kim’s done a good job of making it look like she just came out of it.  Trini sees her laying out the presents they’d designated from Santa, pauses at the end of the hall to whisper to Val, “Valeria, can you look over here?”
Kim hears her, looking up and grinning—at least, Trini assumes she’s grinning.  The beard really does disguise her well.  “Ho ho ho!” Kim laughs loudly, catching their daughter’s attention.
“Santa?!”   Val’s head shoots up, almost catching Trini on the chin.
Trini turns so Val can see without craning her neck, smiling as her daughter lights up when she spots Kim in full costume.  Kim plays the part perfectly, setting her hands on her hips and chuckling.  “Merry Christmas, Val!” she says in that ridiculous, deep voice.  “Your mommies told me you were very worried I would get sick if I came on Christmas, because you didn’t want all the other children to miss out.  Is that true?”
Val nods shyly, leaning back into Trini a little.  Kim’s dad had worn the suit at the Harts’ Christmas party and Trini and Kim had Val get some pictures, so Trini’s not all that surprised by Val’s reaction now.  She’d been a little shy around “Santa” then, too.
“That was a very kind thing to do, Val,” Kim says now.  “It put you at the top of the nice list!  So, I wanted to make sure I came for a visit this year once you were feeling better.  Are you feeling better?”
Val nods again, smiling a little this time.  She leans closer to Trini, whispers worriedly, “Santa got no cookies.”
“Can you ask him about that?” Trini asks her, nodding seriously when Val shakes her head.  “Okay.  Santa?”
Kim turns her eyes on Trini, raising an eyebrow.  “Yes, Val’s Mama?”
“Is it okay that we don’t have any cookies for you?  We weren’t expecting you," Trini explains.
“Of course!  Don’t you worry Val, I ate a big dinner back at the North Pole before flying here.  You’re looking pretty sleepy, though,” Kim observes, settling her gloved hands on her fake belly.  “I think it might be time to head back to bed.”
“’m sleepy,” Val agrees, rubbing her eyes.  It’s rare that she’s this quiet, this still.  Since the day they brought her home, Val’s been a hellion; Trini cried the day she started walking not just out of pride, but out of dread at all the new things she’d be able to get into.  She must really be exhausted if she’s this compliant.
“Can you say thank you to Santa for coming to visit you?” Trini prompts, hitching Val up higher on her hip when she starts to slip.
“Thank you, Santa.”  Val yawns again, wider this time before she lays her head back down on her mother.  “Sleepy,” she repeats quietly.
Trini and Kim share a look over their daughter’s head before Trini turns to head back to her room.
“Goodnight Val,” Kim says, waving.
“Night Santa.”
/
“That was adorable,” Trini whispers as she and Kim climb into bed.
“Too fucking cute,” Kim huffs, pulling the covers up over her shoulder as she turns to face her wife.  “How did we end up with such a cute kid?”
“Tradeoff for her boundless energy, I think.”  Trini scoots closer to her wife, fits herself against Kim like a puzzle piece.  “Thank you so much for this,” she murmurs, lips pressed against the hollow of Kim’s throat.  “I didn’t think it would mean this much to me, but—.”
“You can admit it,” Kim says.  “I was right.”
“You’re an asshole.”
“And you’re back on the naughty list, Mrs. Hart.”
“So long as your name is first, Mrs. Gomez.”
They fall into peaceful quiet long enough that Trini’s pretty sure Kim’s asleep and is pretty close to being there as well.  Then—“Merry Christmas, my love,” Kim whispers, warming Trini from the inside out.  No matter how many times Kim calls her that, she’ll never be over it.
“Merry Christmas, Kim.”

Trimberly Week (D7)
Well this has been fun! I watched “In A Heartbeat” (encourage everyone to go see that, and if you’ve seen it, go watch it again) which is where I got the idea for this.
Soulmate AU
In this world, everyone’s Heart glows depending upon their emotion
Yellow = Joy, Trust, Embarrassment
Blue = Sadness, Thoughtful, Calm
Red = Anger, Frustration, Courage
Green = Disgust, Envy, Sickness
Black = Fear, Mischief, Pain
Pink = Love
Hearts can occasionally “come to life” and keep us company in times of need
They’re our first and closest companions
Hearts show us our truest selves
But Hearts are also incomplete, a little like a puzzle piece, and your Soulmate has the other half
It was at Trini’s 11th birthday party when her Heart first glowed bright Pink
Not like it did when she hugged her Mami or Papi, but for a person who wasn’t family
Her name was Kira and they had been friends since Trini had first moved in next door
She gave Trini her favorite dinosaur sweatshirt, the yellow one with a pterodactyl on it, and Trini’s Heart thundered excitedly
When June Gomez saw her daughter’s Heart glowing for a girl, she spent the rest of the night yelling at her daughter until Trini ran to her room crying
Her Heart spent the entire night curled up in her palms, comforting her
They moved a week later
Kim’s Heart first glowed pink when she was 14
Ty Flemming was a sophomore and a rising football star and the second they made eye contact her Heart lit up the hallway
(It probably should have been telling that Ty’s didn’t…)
But he was Kim’s first real boyfriend and she fell a little too hard, a little too fast
It was right before the summer of their senior year when Kim caught Ty and Amanda sleeping together
Her Heart remained dark blue for an entire week, before one night it grew reddish black and she sent Ty a picture of Amanda
He passed it around the school and blamed it on Kim who blamed it on Amanda and punched Ty’s tooth out
She landed herself detention every Saturday for the rest of the year and through the summer, along with Jason Scott and Billy Cranston, who became two of her closets friends
She finds it incredibly adorable that Jason’s Heart glows pink whenever Billy talks; he thinks he’s good at hiding it, but the boy is fooling no one
Trini moves to Angel Grove that summer and spends the majority of it trying to get away from her overbearing mother or taking care of her little brothers
Her brothers could be annoying sometimes but their Hearts always glowed a pale yellow-pink whenever she played with them
And they were much cooler about her Heart flashing pink whenever a pretty girl walked by than their mother was
Especially considering she once saw Mateo’s Heart glow pink when he was playing with his old friend Wally
Trini meets Zack one day when she and her brothers are out hiking
He scared the shit out of them when he swung down, hanging upside down, from a tree along the trail
Trini was so startled she punched him in the face and knocked him out of the tree
They become best friends
Senior year at Angel Grove gets a little interesting when Zack and Trini walk through the front gates and Trini’s Heart suddenly leaps out of her chest, twirling and glowing pink, pink, pink!
And Trini’s cheeks match in shade as well from everyone staring at her and her Heart starts dragging her across the quad
Kim was waiting with Billy and Jason to get their lockers when her Heart suddenly bursts with light and jumps out of her chest for no apparent reason
She’s so shocked she doesn’t even have time to stop herself before her Heart starts pushing her down the hall and out the front door
And everyone watches in stunned reverence, as Kimberly Hart pin-wheels her arms to keep her balance and a girl they’ve never seen before digs her heels in the ground, their Hearts pulling/pushing them along until
CRASH
Kim’s arms automatically wrap around the girl she ran into and their breath leaves them
Trini has just enough time to look up into the eyes of the girl who caught her before there’s a flash of light and suddenly their Hearts merge together and glow White
(White = Soulmates)
They’re both in shock, for different reasons
Kim’s surprised because her Heart has been blue/red/black for just about her entire summer and suddenly its glowing pink and now white?
Trini’s panicking on the inside because while she’s always known her Heart would glow for a girl, much to her mother’s despair, she never imagined she’d actually find her Soulmate
Or rather her Heart found her Soulmate
Finally Jason, the boys having chased their friends, coughs and startles both girls into motion
Kim is the first to break their silence
Kim: “So… I guess we’re Soulmates! I’m Kim.”
Trini *still shocked*: “I know. I mean, no, I don’t know. You, I don’t know who you are, but I mean like, yeah we’re Soulmates… uh.”
And Kim’s smitten
Damn her Heart can pick em
The bell rings before they can talk more and as they go opposite ways, their Hearts separate but remain White while glowing pink
They endure curious stares all day and Kim’s a little surprised when she spots Amanda and her Heart glows a yellowed green
Trini and Kim end up having biology together and both their cheeks grow warm when their Hearts reanimate once again to merge
The teacher gives them a look, surprised and a little annoyed by the distraction, so Kim stuffs their Heart in her backpack and sits beside Trini
They pass notes the entire class, flirting and hiding their giggles, and Kim walks Trini to her locker where she asks her out on a date
And Trini flushes hotly but their Heart glows pinky and she accepts
They go to Krispy Kreme and spend nearly four hours just talking, losing track of time until Trini’s mom calls and Kim drives her home
She walks Trini to her door and when she leans in to kiss her, Trini stops her, saying she had a goodnight and that she’ll see her tomorrow, before going inside
And Kim stands there, confused and slightly panicked that she did something wrong, but then the door swings back open and Trini launches herself at Kim, kissing her
By the time Kim gets home, her parents are home and her Heart is still glowing pink
They immediately notice her White colored Heart and barrage her with questions on her newfound Soulmate
When Kim admits its a new girl at her school, her parents are hardly fazed, and insist on meeting her, dinner at the Hart house Friday night
Trini manages to avoid her mom that night but she gets caught the next morning and has to tell her mom that her Soulmate is a girl she met at school
But Trini’s fears of her mother’s retaliation go out the window when her father congratulates her and says how proud he is, how they both are, of her
Her mom remains quiet, but she does offer Trini a nod and a tight smile, so, small victories
Her brothers desperately want to meet their sister’s Soulmate and she agrees that they’ll all get to meet Kim, when they’re mother get’s a little more comfortable and they’ve dated a while
When Trini walks through the front gates of school her Heart leaps out of her chest and quickly pulls her over to Kim who’s waiting with the boys by the front steps
This time when Kim wraps her arms around Trini to catch her, Trini wraps hers around Kim’s shoulders and they smile before leaning in to kiss
Sure they’re not actually dating yet, but they’re Soulmates, they have forever to just take their time
Bonus:
Trini’s mom meets Kimberly though she still isn’t comfortable with her daughter’s sexuality, so things get tense in Trini’s household
It’s alright tho, because Kim’s parents more than make up for it; they absolutely LOVE Trini
Jason’s Soulmate ends up being new kid Tommie Oliver, but Jason’s still in love with Billy and Tommie falls for Zack, so they end up just being really close friends and chose their true loves

Employed by Tommy: Rhyme King (because every nickname possible can rhyme with Zack), Asshole, Babe
Tommy Sarah Oliver:
Generic Nicknames: Tommie, Green
Employed by Trini: Wild Child, Queen of Obnoxious Jackets (because of the very loud green dragon jacket Tommy constantly wears)
Employed by Kim: Soccer Goddess, Bend it Like Beckham, Brown Eyed Girl
Employed by Zack: The Anti-Tomi Loren, Love of my Life, Baby
Employed by Billy:  Girl Wade Wilson, Deadpool, Smiley (She smiles a lot around Billy, something that still makes Jason a little suspicious because he’s a jealous binch when it comes to Billy)

These are NOT all canon, this is just for fun! Feel free to add to it!

You give me a meaning, something I can breathe in  Trimberly
Guys i know my writing is shitty but i wanted to write so
It was late and Kimberly couldn´t sleep, she whirled her self on the bed over and over, tried to get some sleep , some peace , she was really trying to fall asleep and keep that tiny latina off her head, off her heart mostly, she knew she has messed up this time, she shouldn´t have say something. Kimberly promised her self that day when they defeated Rita that Trini was way to important to her to mess their friendship, she could love her in secret she thought, she could just crush platonically and be fine, she has everything settle but she was wrong. The pink ranger was a mess, a genuinely head over heals mess with Trini Gomez and now she knows and ruined her friendship, she lost her best friend , she was sure that now everything will be awkward, no more coffee dates, well to be fair , Trini didn´t know that they were dates, but Kim oh god she likes to imagine they were dates and she loved watching the yellow ranger eating messy and leaving small sugar traces in the corner of her lips, she loves how mean Trini thinks she is, but in reality she is just a kitty, she loves the way her brain works and how deeply observant and cautious she is, her sarcasm and her humor , the way her yellow beenie fits perfectly with her hair and her beautiful hair gosh , she does love every detail about her and now she is afraid more afraid than when she was fighting putties, or Rita , Kim had realize that losing Trini is what she fears the most.
Remembering the conversation she had with her a couple hours ago, made her chest feel like it was on fire, the pink ranger was sure that if she puts her hands on her chest they will be caught on fire and probably will die, her special abilities won´t save her, she couldn´t breath and when she close her eyes she could see her, replaying what she said
-“Why do you care so much, Kim. It´s none of your business who I date and what I want to do in my free time , it´s not like you´re a saint or anything, you had no right of talking about her, she is hurt and you were an asshole” Trini was angry, well not angry she was furious and yelling ,because she spreaded some rumor about Trini´s new possibly girlfriend , well she didn´t spread it but she didn´t stop it when she had the chance , when she knew Amanda was the one that said that awful thing about that girl´s past, she was jealous and it didn´t justified of course and at the end that hurted the yellow ranger
-“Guess, you´re still a mean girl right?, I really thought you changed, guess I was wrong , guess we were never friends, old habits don´t die, maybe you´re still a….”
-“I didn´t fucking spread that rumor, I didn´t stop it because I was concern, I was angry I thought you could get hurt, I thought she could been using you or experimenting ,God Trini I thought she could been using you and I was angry and jealous , ok? JEALOUS… I´ll die if anyone hurt you ,because I love you” her tone was strong and she didn´t realize the words that were leaving her mouth, Trini looked shocked and confused, the yellow ranger try to articulate some words but she wasn´t functioning, Kim was embarrassed and she left as soon and fast as she could, she wasn´t leaving she was escaping, she wanted to be the one that was face slapped to space, she wanted to disappeared.
But she couldn´t ,she saw her phone standing on her night table next to a bottle of vodka she stole from the kitchen, she was sure her parents wouldn´t notice, she turned on her phone which she shut it down because she knew Trini or the other´s would try to get to her and she really wanted to be alone, well not alone but the only person she wanted, well Kim was convinced hated her, she has 15 messages from Jason, 7 from Zack and 3 from Billy , she decided not to read them not then, and yep 0 message from Trini, but without even noticing Kim´s fingers wandered on the screen and find the yellow ranger contact and she pressed call… the pink ranger was sure that in that nanoseconds she waited for the latina to pick up ,her heart stopped and if she waited more she will definitely die
-“Kim?” All that bravery fade just with how nice her name sounded on the latina´s mouth, she was again without words, she needed to speak but just couldn´t
-“Kim, you ok? Listen I… “The latina voice was weary, like if she has being running or something but it was 3:47 am, Kim started to worry maybe Trini had a nightmare and she was scared , but Trini continued talking interrupting the pink ranger from her thoughts
-“Look I´m sorry , I shouldn´t maybe yell at you, I was angry and I don´t know, what you said… why didn´t you.. you know.. may.. maybe tell me? I know it´s kind of hypocrisy from me because feeling and stuff and you know.. not my thing? But it´s your thing and well..” Trini was choking with her words “what you said.. you really meant it? I mean if you do it´s fine, if not well it´s whatever you know, doesn´t matter it´s whatever, but if you do..”
-“I do” Kim didn´t ramble, she meant it and she was pretty sure she also yelled it, she loved Trini, she was in love with her since that day at the cliff when she just throw her because she couldn´t let her go, she needed her. Silence took place after her words and she swear she heard Trini smiled through the phone
-“Open your window, Princess”

such a beautiful disaster - chapter one: my whole world could cave in Trini Gomez had thought life was going well. She was in college, she was living with her perfect girlfriend, and her whole life was ahead of her. But then she had the crashing realization that nothing in her life was what it seemed to be, and they had more troubles than she had ever imagined. She has to decide just what she's willing to live with and what isn't worth her time, and she has to learn that sometimes true love isn't enough.
