There are various individuals who start their journey of exercising based on the motivation of only losing weight. Now, motivation is of two kinds – Intrinsic and Extrinsic. 
The first one is the kind which makes an individual happy from within and requires no external validation of any kind whatsoever. Any second person might not even be aware of this happiness for that matter. Extrinsic is just the opposite to it. 
Both can be very powerful but after a certain point, the extrinsic factors start to diminish. There should be a healthy balance between the two types to achieve the best possible results.
The extrinsic motivation of just losing weight might give positive results initially but once that feat is achieved and the exercise regimen is either discontinued or not carried on with the same vigour, the old state is returned back by the body. 
Thus the goals should be beyond how one looks in the mirror and should lead to how one feels from within in a lighter and more active body.

My Weekend Training - May 17, 2019
Being in new home sales, weekends are longest days.  I typically go into work sometime around 7am on Saturday and am at the office until after 8pm.  On Sundays, I sometimes start as early as 8:30 and that day also usually runs until about 8pm.
Regardless of the length of the days, I still have to get my workouts in.  As a matter of fact, getting a good workout in is the very reason that I’m able to stay focused, alert, and energetic from bell to bell on my longest work days, not the opposite.  Too many people ditch a workout because they have a long day at work.
That is EXACTLY why you should workout.
Here is my plan for this weekend and what I’ve done over the last couple of days.  Note that I spend 30-60 minutes per day stretching
Wednesday:  Massage, chiro, and active recovery day.  I kept all of my work at a low intensity. I swam 550 yards, ran a slow 3.1 miles at a 10 minute per mile pace, and biked for 10 miles.
Thursday:  1250 yard swim, 21 mile bike ride (62 minutes) and ran 5.5 miles.
***Note:  I don’t often do all 3 workouts in one day, I just wanted to get some extra pool work in this week.
Friday (Today):  5-7 mile indoor bike ride (loosen up), Long Run (10+ miles, 137 HR or lower throughout)
Saturday:13-15 mile indoor bike ride (45 min HR 133-137), Resistance Training x 45 minutes, 1 mile Row Machine.
Sunday:  10 mile indoor bike ride (30-32 min) or 1 hour on the road bike (weather permitting, still questionable in north Texas as of right now), 3-6 mile run 7:30 pace or faster
My job schedule rotates, and I do my best to set my longer days on my days off.  This week, I just have to make it happen on my actual work days.  My next day off isn’t until Wednesday, so on Sunday night when I plan my schedule, I’ll update it accordingly.

Men suffer from depression. In some cases their levels are much higher than that in women. That often leads them to take drastic steps in life like committing suicide. With the COVID – 19 situation, job cuts in all sectors, men have developed mental health disorders more than women.
Women are biologically more powerful to handle mental stress than men. So, men need to take various measures whenever things start to become too overpowering. Medicines are definitely useful but proper exercise also gives fairly positive results.
Those that are already living with one or more of these conditions should start their exercise as soon as possible. This can start regardless of age, level of fitness or health condition. There are exercises for all of these parameters.
A healthy body plays a vital role in ensuring a healthy mind. It is not true in all cases but it does become helpful in most.

2. Mix Up the Schedule – You might be a Monday – Wednesday – Friday mornings gym person. Shake up the set schedule once in a while and see the change in yourself.

3. Variation in Exercise Regimen – If you have been training on the same machines and using the same equipment for a long time then a change would be beneficial in getting out of the rut.
4. Mirror, mirror on the wall – Whenever there is a lack of motivation, stand in front of the mirror and talk to self. Lying is not an option there.
