[C] 'MY' Style: The Kaboblin Tribesmen (OCs) by Mast3r-Rainb0w
A commission made a client via DeviantArt, featuring some original characters (OCs) known as "Kaboblins", a species of goblin-like creatures who use wooden spears and like to collect tinfoil wrappers! These guys are owned by their respective owner(s), but this artwork was made by yours truly! Enjoy!

YOU ARE ENABLING ME SO HARD sorry I’m taking this as an excuse for headcanon sharing and this won’t fit in a comment 💥
I agree 100% absolutely no questions ask
2. HEAR ME OUT I REALLY like to imagine him having learned a bunch of old and um, UNCOMMON languages throughout the years.
like yes. He’s not thousands of years old, he’s hundreds of years old. But that’s still a long fucking time and he multiverse is VAST.
I like to imagine he put all this effort in early on to learn languages, of places deep in the multiverse. He spent time in these multiverse corners and learned their ways of speech and mannerisms!
But, over time he got bored, moved on to other things, but was filled with satisfaction at the arsenal of words and cultures under his belt! Now he had a lot more knowledge, advantage, and yes, coolness points!!
……..only to interact with people who’ve never ever heard of those languages and think he’s just making shit up.

Replying to @fantasyinvader’s post mentionning how Linhardt and Hanneman are more interested in - especially if you don’t poach them - science than leading the people, or even, the people themselves, I wanted to make a post about Lin’s support with Catherine, which is played as a “for science!” support where Cat is amazed at his dedication to research stuff...
But it has those ominous lines :
But to continue my research without taking this chance to know the truth—what would be the point?
Besides ignorance can breed even greater dangers.
Linhardt wants to know “the Truth” and says ignorance breeds dangers... Which is a reasonable point to make, but this is immediately followed by this :
For example, do you know for whom Thunderbrand was originally crafted?
We’re talking about the “truth” hidden about the relics - which is more dangerous, ignorance or people who know “the truth”??
The goddess.
Catherine replies with an argument of authority, most likely the only Rhea thought would make most people stop thinking too much about the hows of Relics and drop the topic...
But not Linhardt!
Correct. And because of that, everyone just stops thinking about it.
Yes, that’s the point.
No one really knows what the Relic is made of, how it was crafted, or what its very structure may be.
Until we know those things and truly understand the power and the danger Relics hold...
We won't be able to...gain any new knowledge. I'm tired of talking.
^^^^
This, this is the reason why that secret was made, and the truth hidden! And while those are, say, reasonable questions to have about “magic weapons”, bear in mind Linhardt’s natural route - i.e. where he isn’t poached - with Catherine is SS, where we later learn Nemesis got “more power” from the corpses of the Nabateans...
(Which can be tied to the WoH and Willy’s war, as depicted in Houses, as he “crushed people who wanted more power”, are we talking about people who knew where and how Nemesis got his shinies and wanted more shinies?)
Linhardt will have this new “knowledge”, but what will he do with that knowledge? What are going to be the consequences? Should that truth be revealed? Would he try to kill a Nabatean to test a theory about Relic making?
This support touches one of the themes completely eluded by the game about Truth and if it should always be shared with the World, or if some truths should be hidden to protect some people -
SS!Linhardt is someone sensible (sort of, he also has this line against SS’s final boss “Well, that's something, isn't it? A shame we must kill her. Consider the research potential...“...) who wouldn’t skin Flayn alive to see if her bones can really be used to make a relic...
But unrecruited Linhardt or even CF!Linhardt doesn’t give a fuck about being sensible or not, fights alongside Baldo’n’Waldi, which raises an entire can of worms, can we really believe Linhardt, who’s passioned by Crests and their applications, would just roll with Baldo’n’Waldi popping up as Crests Beasts, heck, when some of the War Assets are artificially engineered by the Empire, who also makes artificial Crest Stones? Wouldn’t Linhardt try to, idk, know how those “things” are made, and oversee researches himself?
He has the common sense to spare Indech, by not rattling him to Supreme Leader and Hubert in CF, but is it because Indech has no interest for him in CF, so he doesn’t want the battlefield to become more “bothersome” since it’s useless to kill him, or for some reason, wanted to spare him because he’s still the same guy who’s afraid of blood and hates bloodshed, but when it came to Baldo’n’Waldi he cannot give any fucks?

#OTD in 1960 – An Irish peacekeeping force is ambushed in the Congo, causing the first overseas combat deaths of the Irish Republic.
Nine Irish peace-keeping troops die in the Niemba massacre in Congo. A total of 26 Irish troops died during the Congo deployment for which they were totally unprepared. Irish troops arrived with heavy wool uniforms and having been advised by Archbishop of Dublin Dr. McQuaid that the Congolese were “a very gentle people.” The Baluba tribesmen of the Congo quickly changed that…

Chasind Marian Hawke rescuing missionary Sebastian from the Korcari Wilds after he’s attacked by another less friendly tribe.
Chasind Marian insisting on taking him back to the nearest village, despite the stares and insults she gets from the “civilized” folk.

The chantry thinks Sebastian is slipping into his old womanizing ways and that chasind woman is going to seduce him into going back down a dark path.
Chasind Marian and Sebastian eventually running away eloping from both groups to make their own lives somewhere new.

...yeah you're right
In honour of H.P. Lovecraft’s birthday
I would just like to remind everyone that on this day, 128 years ago, Sarah Susan Philips Lovecraft gave birth to what would become one of the greatest pissboys in all of western literature. Not only would this child grow into a massive antisemite, racist, xenophobe and class elitist, but he would also manage to weasel his way into the english literary canon with an oeuvre of almost pure purple prose, peppered with aforementioned shitty opinions. This shitty son of Providence, Rhode Island would later be hailed for his innovative approach to horror by utilizing the fear of the unknown, something he had in heaps, and it really is a tragedy that, apart from ethnic and racial minorities, he was not more acquainted with the sensation of a fist in his face or a good kick in the knees. So this 20th of August, let us remember the start of a rightfully sad life of one of the scummiest pricks to ever hold a pen, and be thankful that literally everything he ever did was done better by someone else after him.

🎨x4 for everyone! :D [like one for each muse that is~]
Send 🎨 and I will use a doll maker to create an NPC from my muse's canon (meme post here)
Aaaand here we go!
Mia's only NPC of note at the minute is Kris, so I guess, let's go with him.
I've had this image of the two of them (from rinmaru games) for Years now that I don't think I've shown off before.
Tumblr media
but the meme did say I would make one. soooo... have this one too!
Tumblr media
This one is from THIS meiker.io game. It didn't have a blue hair option, but... I've been considering changing the both of them from blue anyway? Not sure yet though.
.
.
Mike's NPC is his sister, Kate!
Tumblr media
from THIS meiker.io game.
.
.
Raph's NPC is........ *drumroll*
His Mother!
Tumblr media
This is the way she appears to other humans, as they're only seeing the body possessed, not the demon within. A demon looking at her would see... I guess you could call it a reskin in a way. The same base form, but recoloured based on Aeshma's true form- a form she can only take in hell- with additions like, spikes, horns, flames, etc. wherever appropriate, (Not saying she has all those- I haven't actually nailed down her design yet, they're just examples), and of course like all demons, fully black eyes. This is enough for other demons to recognise who she is no matter which body she decides to inhabit.
Raph sees her... somewhere in between. He sees fully black eyes always, the same as when he looks in the mirror. But everything else sort of exists as a wavering sheen, or an overlay that's affected by his own energy. When his demonic energy is higher, his vision gets closer to that of other demons. If it's lower, the demonic traits look less solid, less opaque, though they are still there. So to an extent, he can choose which image to focus on. If he focuses on the demonic traits, or on his own demon side, or just gets really angry, the overlay is slightly clearer than her human body.
This is all part of why he hates Aeshma so much. Because he was constantly seeing his human mother under it all. The times when he was most connected to his own humanity, or when he needed a mother more than ever, she almost looked normal. It seemed as though she easily Could be the kind of mother that normal people had. But never would be, because she was being puppeteered by this demon. Every time she was committing violent murder in Raph's line of sight, he could see and remember that there was a real, human woman inside of her, who wasn't like this, probably never would have done something like this. There was a woman behind those eyes somewhere, who was being forced to do and watch so much she never should have been. Who was probably terrified every time. He could never forgive his demon mother for doing that- or for sealing away the human mother he could have had.
.
.
Finally, for Chester's NPC...... An Ancient Tribesmen.
I remember you being interested in these, and I tried drawing them but I just couldn't get it to look the way it did in my head. BUT I FOUND A GAME (This one here) THAT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE IT!!

headcanon: rhea's main mission ( during her reign ) — i'm going to make this constant across all my writings of her ( in canon ) but one of the more pivotal causes rhea has fought for during her lordship was to aim for a peace treaty among the mountain tribesmen and the people of the vale. she has visited many mountain tribesmen on their ground ( traversing high altitudes and dangerous terrains ), meeting several chiefs ( not including the particularly hostile ones, of course ) and negotiated treaties inclusive of exchanging resources ( the vale for their produce and crops, while mountain clansmen provide their services like paving the road to mountainsides or giving some of their boys to work as farmers ). it is a strenuous mission, although most would probably deem it as unnecessary seeing as the tribesmen are coloured heavily with negative stereotypes. i do also headcanon that rhea did try asking the crown for more aide ( not money though; more likely experienced men to assist during these journeys ) but she has never heard anything back.
