@tribaloflight asked:
"Pardon, would you happen to be able to spare some rock salt? I happen to be missing some for a dish I am making."
"Do I look like a person who just carries rock salt on them?" As she spoke, Yoruichi produced from within her jacket something shaped sort of like a hip flask, but notably smaller, and made out of some light but incredibly durable construction. She did not seem to need to visually confirm what it was—something about how its rubbery surface was textured? "You'll have to settle for pure table salt."

@tribaloflight liked for a starter.
pale blue hues take in her surroundings and she's knows one thing for certain - that she is not in cornelia at the moment. her pulse quickens and she thinks to herself that surely an adventure lay around the corner. how'd she get here? she wasn't too sure, but the world was a magical place and there would be time to discover the answers later. right now she was excited about the prospect of an adventure! surely if the chancellor saw her or one of her parents, she'd be in for an earful but she didn't see them. besides she needed a break from their watchful eyes every now and again.
she spies a stranger in the distance and rushes over. it was unladylike of her to rush in such a manner, but at the moment it didn't matter to her. "forgive me, but..." she looks around again before resting her gaze on the other. "i think i am lost. could you, perhaps, tell me where i am?"
#tribaloflight#closed thread#hello~ i hope this is okay?? i never finished my ff14 au so i figured sarah being in eorzea would be all right?#also i saw you liked my plotting call too! i'll get back to you in a little bit about it if that's okay?? 🙏😭 i forgot i have an#appointment to go to in a couple minutes \orz#v; no longer trapped in the cycle (cycle 1 ; main ; post ff1)

@tribaloflight
When Cosmos' portal opened, Neon walked through, continuing her new role, no longer an Agent of Chaos, now doing her part to atone for past actions as an Agent of Cosmos. Supposedly this place was some sort of hub where the different dimensions intersected, heroes and fiends from across different worlds would appear here.
There had been rumors that Chaos had appeared, but, that was impossible, Chaos was dead, Jack saw to that. Everything Jack Neon and the others had sacrificed had been to ultimately end the ultimate evil.
So whatever Chaos had appeared here either had to be an imposter, or the genuine article, so Neon had elected to finish what Jack had started.
She spied a man, possibly a warrior given his appearance. She pulls her hood over her head, a shield tied around her arm while her crystal saber remained in its scabbard.
"I'm here to kill Chaos." She finally spoke up.

"This isn't the first time I've gone without sleep. Back in Eorzea, I've had to spend more than a day without sleep given how quick the pace can be."
Lack of Sleep Starters!
"Just because you've gone without sleep before doesn't mean you need to now." Noctis probably wasn't the best person to be giving such a lecture – his own sleep habits left a lot to be desired – but he didn't need to know that. "You should use this time to rest up. Might not get a chance later."
"Go on. I'll keep watch."

@tribaloflight plotted starter
Yevon was notorious for harboring ancient secrets, confident their turbulent deceitful network would never reach Spira's light of day. As a former summoner, the sight of the endless pits carved beneath the chambers of the fayth was like rubbing salt in a wound. The effigys which housed the aeon's souls—a summoner's companion, their ally. The sacred space entombed souls bared witness to countless summoners burded with the weight of their pilgrimage coming and going for thousands of years, and praying with everything they had to defeat the briger of death.
All of their hopes. Vanished.
The black holes burned their image in the back of Yuna's mind. Even when she was suddenly aware that she was no longer standing before the crater. In fact, she found herself waking up in an entirely new location.
The gunner pulls herself up to observe her environment. It was hotter than Bikinel, dry. But no sand. Only empty plains with scarce vegitation. Fiends trampled freely among the dirt path, which made Yuna continue to believe she was simply relocated in Spira.
"...Where am I? This cannot be...Bikinel, right?" she peers left, then right. What of her comrades? Did they make it out OK? "Rikku! Paine?!" Silence is her only reply.
Well. She couldn't just sit there. Her friends must be scattered throughout the terrain. All she had to do was find them.

Queue a man with horns and a trenchcoat coming up to the Hyur and curious to see if he can have some help. "Pardon, milady. I seem to be lost at the moment. Could you tell me where I am?" (figured I would throw him on Neo's side instead of having her in Limsa or something.)
Here in the city of Vale, the Faunus were seen from time to time, but what Neo didn't expect, was to find herself with a very strange Faunus, at that.
Normally, they only had one animal trait, but the man in front of her not only had horns, but also scales and a tail to accompany his whole appearance.
This wasn't even a safe side of the city, specially at night -when criminality was higher- but assuming that he was new around town, the mute would have an advantage point here.
So she turned around, raising a hand to greet him, and picking up her Scroll next to show the stranger about the location.
In the screen of the phone-like device, 'The City of Vale' could be read- as simple as a Google search.
#Ask#ic#tribaloflight#gonna be interesting to have someone else being isekai'd to Remnant for once xD

Rather than catching his attention, it seems he remembered something he was keeping- and even if it's not what Neo was looking for, it made her curious nevertheless.
So her brown and pink fixated on the strange stone even if she had no idea what it could be. Just a pretty gem to her- perhaps made of Dust?
While the warrior stepped with crystal in hand to go back into the middle of the street, the woman was quick to hop off the box she was sitting on, expectantly waiting for the other to do something, until the unexpected happened.
Surely, the streets on this side of town weren't all that busy at this hour, but the bunch of people who still walked the streets stared at the lights while the stranger summoned them. They even caught Neo off guard, so much so, that the mute pointed Hush to the ground in case she needed to defend herself.
But...squinting her eyes, she could notice the attempt of some figures being materialized, not completely, but he was trying to.
With the lack of raw magicks, perhaps it was to expect...not that Rasada was completely aware of how lacking this world was in comparison to his own, but despite the failure, the assassin was still there.
...taking pics with her Scroll. Recording a video. This was something else and she will make sure to have proof of it.
Normally, the warrior of light would never be this rude when talking with another, but the gravity of his situation hit him hard and fast, causing him to be more concerned for his friends than proper decorum.
The hume's poking of his pocket did remind him of something however, reaching into his right coat pocket, his gloved hand pulled out his trump card, the crystal of Azem. While he still did not fully understand how the spell worked, perhaps it could give him a connection back to his home!
rushing back out into the middle of the street, he held the memory crystal tightly within his hand, trying to focus its aether into the magic as he would normally. Massive columns of light appeared around him as an arcane symbol spread forth from his feet. It was faint, but he could feel his home at the other end of his mind.
Eventually, figures began to appear from the columns... but they had no substance. They were clear and glassy, containing only the images of his fellow scions and members of the free company he had joined, not their physical forms.

@tribaloflight || LIKED for a STARTER
"I never thought I would ever see aught beyond the lands of Coerthas... My first visit to Gridania was on official business for the Congregation." He reminisces out loud for but a moment while his eyes fixate upon the heavens and the stars that were beautifully visible. "To be as far as the Far East..." He shakes his head in disbelief, the bright smile upon his expression perfectly telling of how he was feeling; "..Thank you, my friend- for bringing me out so far."

While she couldn't tell all that was crossing his mind, the mute was observant enough to know that something wasn't right. But, after retrieving her Scroll, she turned off the device and turned around to follow him with mismatched hues.
Certainly, what he was muttering for himself came as a surprise, but more importantly, confusion plastered all over the face of the illusionist at that time.
Stepping closer, the short woman would sit on one of the many storage boxes that rested near the fall that he decided to lean against, legs crossed in a pretty lady-like manner, and her parasol over her shoulder.
Tapping his side from down there, Neo then looked up, head tilted to the side and a question mark suddenly materializing near her in a glow pink, that would soon disappear not long after.
He definitely seemed LOST and preoccupied with something, and she was curious to find out who she just crossed paths with.
Well this was certainly an issue. Not on Etherys, or any of the shards. Completely lost without a way back to the Source. Rasada had been in predicaments before, but none as dire as this.
In a subconscious reflex of anxeity, he began to twiddle the ring on his left finger, a fragment of Dalamud given to him by Godbert Manderville as a gift. Though to the Au'ra it was a reminder of what he lost that day at Cartenau. A sign for him to push forward in memory of the comrades he lost, as much as the mark of the twelve that existed upon his back.
In an attempt to try and relax himself a bit, he leaned on a nearby wall, black-nailed fingers gripping his brow in frustration in between fiddling with his ring as he tried to puzzle out how he even arrived.
"It seems I am a stranger in a strange land after all..."
The most he could find himself muttering out to the strange woman as he continued to be lost in his own world, worrying about his friends. There was a crisis currently on their doorstep, and he was stuck in a foreign world. Absolutely not ideal.

Once she managed to have his attention back, Neo couldn't help but raise an eyebrow with the way he talked. He seemed rather casual, just like Huntsmen, but he spoke like someone from a somewhat noble family of Atlas.
Or any rich family of Remnant, for that matter.
The interesting thing about this place, is that there seemed to be a lack of Aether. Or at the very least, people felt different in that regard. But with time Rasada would be able to learn that humanity here couldn't use magic like they would in Hydaelyn.
Still, the mute's Aura was trained, and so was her Semblance- the special powers that not all people had, but that would surface through training or highly emotional situations. That was the closest thing to 'magic' Neo had, even if it was a power shaped and manifested by her very soul.
Her confusion when hearing about those unknown places was visible on her expression, although it didn't take her long to look for a map of Remnant in her Scroll, so she could show it to him.
With a finger, she pointed at it rather eagerly, specially at the name of the world itself, or its Kingdoms.
If anything, this was proving that Rasada wasn't in Hydaelyn anymore.
It took a few seconds for the Au'ra to realize his error, causing him to quickly turn and bow at the hyur in apology. He had grown so concerned about his situation and his friends that he had completely forgotten his manners.
"Pardon my transgressions, Milady. I suppose I should make it easier and ask, would you happen to know the nearest place I could catch an airship or a vessel back to Eorzea, Othard, or a surrounding area such as Thavnair or Old Sharlyan?"
As Rasada began to take a deeper look at his surroundings, the Warrior of Light began to notice, the Aether here felt... different. He may not have had the ability to see auras as his original incarnation had, but he could tell the planet's currents felt very strange. At the very least, he had tried testing his crystal to summon phantom warriors on some of the strange black beasts surrounding the woods, and it worked, though only for a very brief moment. It seemed even the power of his old authority was weakened in this land.

When he excused himself, the mute couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in curiosity and confusion, following his movements and wondering what it was that he was trying to do.
By the looks of it -and that weapon- Neo was starting to wonder if he was a Hunter. They usually went around with their weapons and no care, but by the kind of looks that even the random passer-by was giving, it was safe to assume that the only thing catching everyone's attention was his looks.
The criminal didn't care about it- she simply wanted some answers.
When Neo thought it was enough, though, she snapped her fingers to catch back his attention in case he forgot that, they were kind of engaged in 'conversation'.
@tricoloredillusion continued from X
The au'ra just stared at the Hyurian woman with the colorful hair. She looked like she was holding a tomestone, but it definitely didn't look of Allagan make. More like something Cid would have created at the ironworks. And Vale? Rasada had been all over Etherys in his travels, but never to a place like this. It vaguely resembled images he had seen of Garlemald prior to its destruction, but he knew of no other places that used magitek to this kind of level. Possibly this could be the new world? But he doubted that given that from what he learned studying blue magic, the new world seemed to be mainly filled with tribes.
Bowing and excusing himself for a moment, the Warrior of Light raised a hand to his ear to try to reach some of his fellow Scions on linkpearl. Failing that, he attempted to reach either the Malestrom or his Free Company mates. All communications fell silent.
Returning in a more befuddled state, he began wondering of further possibilities, the gunblade he was currently using ratting against his signature longcoat's ornamentation as he began to pace back and forth. Had he entered another shard? No, the only stable connection was to the first, and this certainly wasn't Norvrandt. The thirteenth was barren, and even moreso, he could not remember traveling as he did when the Crystal Exarch called him to the first, or even how he got there in the first place.
His mind was awash with mysteries, enough that he began to completely forget he was engaging in such theatrics in the middle of the street, and in front of a stranger no less.
