DT AU - Extinction Pt. 1

Sooo, recently I was scrolling through the dino thunder tag on here for a bit, and I saw this idea for an where Mesogog is the mentor for the DT rangers instead of Tommy, and I got inspired by it a lot since I am a SUCKER for things like Evil! AUs and shit so blep (not tagging Beast Morphers here but the Avatars honestly influenced this au too, I find them really cool)

Basic premise I thought of for this au is that, Mesogog managed to capture all the Rangers except for Tommy, and brought them back to his headquarters. Confiscating the Dino Gems so they’re unable to morph, Mesogog eventually decides to let bygones be bygones…by making them his generals. Oh and fusing them with their Dino Gems, causing them to turn into dinosaur hybrids. That too. They’re able to still use their civilian powers too, even to an amplified degree due to their new physiology.

They’ve been brainwashed to be extremely loyal to Mesogog. They still have autonomy, and can think for themselves butttt will not question Mesogog’s orders ever. It’s bad. Tommy has to figure out how to undo the brainwashing AND hybridization while four incredibly powerful half-dinosaur menaces running around and putting Mesogog on the winning edge. They also operate on new names, though they will recognize their human names and vehemently deny them if heard.

Design-wise, did Kira and Trent first because I had thought about their designs first(though Trent’s hair gave me a small aneurysm). Their Dino Gems are basically lodged in their chests, and as long as they remain, they are not changing back anytime soon. For Kira, I mainly just made her look like a pterodactyl while also taking some parts from her Zord. I also took some inspo from the DragoZord for Trent, BUT I also took some inspo from the White Terrorsaurus since that’s also made from White Ranger DNA.

Their codenames are “Ptera” and “Galer” respectively. I’ll probably draw full designs once I finish Connor and Ethan, or “Tyrant” and “Tricera”.

Just watched "Once and Always" Masses of aftermath head canons.. here we go… -Tommy in the hospital bored off his ass… Getting told to sit down and shut up by the professionals to the point they threaten his green ass with a sedative. -Jason doing the same thing only louder, actually gets sedated. 

-Kimmy, laughing her ass off cus "Ooooo you two are gonna get it". She also got sedated. -tonya groaning and throwing a pillow at them. because "Grow up"

-Ashely throwing a pillow at them be cause "Grow the FUCK up." -Damon, Wants his engineering magazines.. ALSO gets threatened with a sedative. 

-Kai, Just wants to sleep.. please stfu

-Leo "has anyone seen my shirt?" Some things never change. 

- Merrick, About to die of embarassment because his wolf demon has been thrown out of the ward going on ten times now for acting like a worried dad. 

- Trent and Connor, Just as restless as tommy and jason, but quieter.. On thirty fifth game of go fish. Both in agreement that “Dr . O is still a dork.” Thats all i Got for now! Enjoy!
