Chapter One

I remember I was fifteen, my parents and I went to a trip to Japan during the summer to visit my father's side of the family. I didn't have any friends there so I just expected to see my relatives.

I couldn't really bond with my cousins because they were either ten years older or younger than me. I just hang out with myself, my music and my journal. For me it wasn't a problem or a sad thing being alone, I really found it peaceful and calming. Though, for my parents, they thought I needed some socializing.

One day, my dad invited some of his closest friends and we had a barbecue party. One of his friends had a son, a year older than me but at least we were closer in age.

I wasn't really good at meeting new people and I didn't really interact much with boys.

His name was Hamada Asahi and he was the boy I met in Osaka.

He wore the most simple outfit, he was wearing a white shirt tucked into his loose beige pants and a brown belt that secured it. He looked cute and as a normal fifteen year old, I developed a crush.

I noticed he was shy since he only had a neutral expression and he was only focused on his phone.

I didn't know what came over me but I had the courage to come up to him and start a conversation, I wanted to be out of my comfort zone for a change.

"Hi," I only manage to say, standing in front of him.

He looked up and just nodded his head and went back to his phone.

Okay, let's try this again.

"My name is Hana," I introduced myself. "What's your name?"

He pointed at himself and I nodded showing him a small smile.

"Asahi," he said and awkwardly looked away.

"Can I sit here?" I asked and pointed the spot next to him.

"Yeah, sure."

I sat next to him and brought out my journal, he went back to playing games on his phone and just started scribbling and doodling to pass the time.

I noticed that he kept turning to my side and his little actions made me smile.

"You draw?" he asked, looking at my journal.

"Oh this, I try," I replied. "I'm not an artist though."

"But this is nice," he complimented and that made me smile."

"Thanks," I said. "How about you? Do you draw?"

"Yeah," he said shyly.

"Oh, then how about you draw something here?" I said as I gave him my journal.

He was slightly taken aback but took the notebook nonetheless.

"Are you sure? This notebook looks very personal,"

It is personal but somehow I don't mind it.

"Yeah, I would like to see you draw," I insisted.

"Okay then," he finally gave in and took the pencil from me.

His fingertips slightly brushed my hand and it gave me butterflies, I started blushing but he didn't noticed it because he was focused on drawing. I was in awe of how he was so into what he was doing, first I was watching the picture he was drawing then I slowly let my stare up into his face.

I found it so cute with his eyebrows furrowed and his pouty lips, it made me crack a smile.

I think I might have a small crush on him ...

Junkyu: He tries to act mad at you for stealing his hoodie, but on the inside his heart is meltingggg. He is so happy to see you clinging onto his hoodie while you wear it, it’s the cutest thing ever. All he can do is sit and watch you, It doesn’t no matter what you’re doing. He is totally in awe just from the fact that you’re wearing HIS hoodie. Don’t be mad when you find a whole pile of his hoodies that he left at your place for you to wear.

Jaehyuk: It’s a cuteness overload for him. He can barely think; nor breath when he sees how big his hoodie looks on you, or how adorable you look. “Where’d you get that” “In your closet, do you like it Jaehyukie?” He almost passed out right then and there, you’re wearing his hoodie AND calling him pet names, okay you’re getting too bold now LOL, he makes sure to hold you extra extra tight, he’s just so fluffy and sweet for the rest of the day.

Doyoung: He gets clingy so quick when he sees you wearing ANY type of clothing that’s his, especially his hoodies. He just gets so boyfriend-y if that makes sense. Cuddling you so soft, asking you if your hungry, taking millions of pictures to capture the moment, it’s just so sweet. He makes sure to take a polaroid of you in his hoodie, so when he misses you he can just look at that photo and feel better. Haruto: Ohhh boy, his ego skyrockets when he sees you wearing his hoodie. It’s more of a possessive thing for him, not in a toxic way, but when he sees you in his clothes; it’s a way of showing everyone that you’re his partner and no one else’s. He makes sure to stay close to you the whole time, not even caring if he’s embarrassing himself by the immediate PDA around everyone else. He always gives you extra kisses when you’re wearing his hoodies.

Jeongwoo: He becomes a simp so quick; like he’s literally willing to do anything if you ask him to. He makes sure to put cologne on all of his hoodies just in case you ask for another one of them, just so they can smell like him when you wear them. Will randomly just give you a hoodie, and when you ask him why he’ll reply back, “Keep it, it looks better on you” AHHHH. Also somehow, cuddles just always hit different to him when you’re wearing his hoodies, like you just get so soft.

Junghwan: A deep shade of red appears all over his face, he can’t express his joy in any other way then the cutest little giggle ever. i think we’re all well aware that our poor baby is just working his butt off to survive high school and i want to commend him immensely for all the hard work he’s put in academically while balancing the idol life. i don’t think i could ever survive a lifestyle as fast-paced as the one this boy lives and i’m so extremely proud of him for it. that being said, something tells me that junghwan would just absolutely appreciate any help and support you would give him while he’s balancing practice and school work. whether it be quizzing him for the next big exam he has or helping him out with chores just so that he doesn’t have to worry about them, he will fall for you a little bit more than he already has. he might not outright ask you for help, but the way that you somehow pick up on what he needs without him saying anything has him feeling a little more butterflies in his stomach just because of the way you know him so well without him even having to mention anything.

Asahi’s fingers lingered at the middle of your back a little longer than you expected, ever-so-careful to tie your apron in the same tender way you tied his. He was repaying the favor, yes, but he liked having this tiny way to dote on you before he let you take the lead. This recipe was yours, after all: he was merely a willing participant in creating it, happy to follow your instruction however you needed him to. If that was through chopping apples the way you demonstrated, then so be it.

“You said this recipe is important to you.” He meant it as a question, even though his voice didn’t raise toward the end. A moment later, he looked up from where he’d stopped, mid-chop, to peer at you. “Right?”

It suddenly clicked, and you looked up with a smile. “Yeah! My mom and I used to make these when I was little,” you hummed. “They’re apple pie cookies. I mean, they’re more like mini apple pies, but they’re like… cookie shaped.”

He smiled a little, going back to work. He loved the tiny quirks you held when you spoke, always so bright and brilliant and bold. He’d been dating you for just over a year now, and he still wished he knew how to capture you perfectly whenever he doodled you in his notebook during class, or in his sketchbook as he watched you work. Asahi could see every little thing that made you you, but he hadn’t learned how to master that in his art. Then again, you always told him that he made you look more attractive in his art. 

Did he? He just drew you. Surely, that meant you were doing all the work. He was just trying to capture it. 

“I was thinking that we’d make a few batches and hand them out to people on campus. My friends… yours, too, if you’d like. I think Yoshi would like these.” Asahi could see the tiny way a smile tugged at your lips, oh-so-subtly. “Don’t you agree?”

“Yes.” His voice always felt so small when he spoke to you. So much softer. Yet you never pushed him to step out of his comfort zone, always glad to take the lead when he was getting tired. That was another reason why he loved you and found you far more stunning than anything else: your kindness always shone through. “Why though?”

“I dunno. Just felt like doing something nice–”

“No, I mean–Why these cookies?” He paused, “There’s easier recipes, right?”

“Oh! It’s fall.” 

Asahi furrowed his brows. “That’s all?”

He could see the hesitation on your face as you averted your gaze, suddenly growing far more flustered. You chewed on your lip for a moment, and then took in a deep breath, slowly exhaling. “And… I wanted to maybe try and start something special with you.” 

Asahi looked up yet again, confused. “What do you mean?”

“I think… I want you in my life for a long time.” 

Just over a year together, and he felt his heart stir at the idea. He felt the same way, if he was honest.

“And these cookies have been in my life for a long time, too, so…” You stared down at the dough you were rolling out. “I dunno. I guess I was just thinking a lot…”

Asahi was rarely the one who initiated skinship in any way. Yet he made his way over to you, leaning in to press a kiss against your temple, as tender as he could be. When you looked up from your work to look at him, he just felt flustered all over again. He’d felt shy when he first met you, crushing hard over how sweet you were with him. 

“I feel the same way,” he said, soft as could be. Stay here in my life, too.

“ruto, seriously. get it together.” you smiled, amused by his behavior. “i was just teaching him how to ride a bike. why are you being jealous?”

he never meant to get jealous like this. he knew you were just helping jeongwoo, but he couldn't help the way he felt.

haruto trusted you both, but when you took this much care of jeongwoo, haruto couldn't help but feel jealous of the attention his best friend received from you.

“gosh, i never would have thought i’d ever be jealous about things like this,” he grumbled under his breath, shaking his head. “you must think i’m stupid, huh?”

you nodded, giggling at the way your boyfriend’s face fell. “you are stupid. stupid, because i can’t believe you don’t know how much i love you.” you smiled widely.

“really? you mean that?” he asked, confused.

“hey, look at me.” you held his face in your hands. “i’m yours, and no one can change that, okay? i love you, not anyone else. you.”

“i love you, y/n.” haruto smiled, leaning closer as he placed his lips against yours. “thank you for making me feel better.”

before you could respond, jeongwoo’s voice grabbed the attention of you two, and you turned towards him as you watched him ride his bicycle around in circles.

“look, y/n! ruto!” he yelled, excited. “i’m riding a bike!”

the two of you exchanged proud looks, excitedly cheering in unison as you watched the younger male do his first solo bike ride.

jaehyuk and asahi watched you all from the sides, glad you two talked it out and everything was back to normal.

they were worried when you dragged haruto to the side, having noted the male’s odd behavior, but seeing you two in big smiles assured them everything was fine.

“i never knew haruto was the jealous type,” jaehyuk admitted, amused. “that too, jealous of jeongwoo.”

asahi shrugged. “eh, there are days where you crave more affection than the rest. today was one of those days for haruto,” he explained.

“i’m glad they sorted it out, though.”

“yeah, me too.”

jeongwoo biked towards the couple, beaming as he looked at you. “y/n, you wanna race? i think i can beat you,” he challenged, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

“oh, like heck you can! i literally taught you how to ride a bike.” you scoffed, grabbing your bike and sitting on it. “you think you can outdo the master?!”

“i don’t think i can beat you. i know i can!”

“you are so on, park jeongwoo!”

haruto stared between the two of you, shaking his head with a smile. “now, what happened to the conversation we were just having?” he asked, pretending to be upset.

you bit back a smile. “woo is like my brother, ruto. you are my boyfriend.” you shrugged. “bros before hoes, dude!” you announced, pedaling away with jeongwoo as fast as you could.

watanabe haruto stood in his spot, shell-shocked, as he watched his girlfriend and best friend laugh at his expressions. he placed his hands on his hips, shaking his head as he looked at them.

“this is outrageous, y/n! i demand more attention! you said you love me!”

for some reason, he would think you were adorable for asking that question. he’d smile really wide, eyes crinkling as he hugged you and called you cute over and over again. he wouldn’t answer, would just shake his head and chuckle at you, completely endeared. even if you asked the question over and over again, he’d flat out ignore you and continue to chuckle and call you cute.

he just does not take you seriously. it’s been hours since you asked the question and he’s still making fun of you for it, to the point that you regret bringing the topic up in the first place. he hasn’t given you any sort of answer too, just thinks it’s hilarious you would ask that. but then you say that you would dump him if he became a worm, and he starts an argument over it.

i feel like he’s the only one who would actually give a satisfactory answer. correct me if i’m wrong, but doesn’t he already keep some sort of animal? he’d build you a little worm house with everything worms need and would look after you and talk to you every day.

he’d actually beat you to asking that question. he’d come home one day looking really worried, and when you asked him what was wrong, would ask you if you’d still love him if he became a worm. if you reply anything else other than yes, he’d be so upset and would need so much comforting.

for some reason i think you asking him that question would make him so upset. like he’d start imagining you actually turning into a worm and he would just start crying, mourning your human form. you’d end up having to coddle him instead of the other way around.

he knows you, and he knows you’d start pouting for no reason if he told you the truth, so he plays along, telling you yes of course i’ll still love you no matter what don’t worry. but if it really happened, he’d put you outside so you could find other worm friends.

listen he is a busy man with a tiring job, he doesn’t need the additional stress. he tells you straight-up no, and desperately tries to understand why that makes you so upset, to no avail. “but babe, worms aren’t sexy…”

you were really excited to ask him that question and see his reaction, but then he just says he would eat you and doesn’t give any further explanation no matter how hard you try to get one out of him.

he’s another one that gets stressed out. he really wants to say yes, but realistically, he knows it wouldn’t be possible and that even if he kept you in a cage or something he’d move on at some point. when he tells you this, naturally, you get very upset, so he tries to make it up to you the whole evening, but he’s just as shaken as you are about the thought of you turning into a worm.

I want to talk about hogwarts!Hinata for a minute, particularly about all the secrets he’s keeping. Trying to keep a mental list, he knows about a) Akaashi b) Oikawa’s magic and c) Suga’s grandfather and the identity of the Giant!!

Considering him keeping secrets is in the fic description I’m assuming its important, so are there any other secrets I’m forgetting about on my list? Will there be more secrets to come? And also, will the fact that “secret keeping” is an important thing in HP canon come into play here?

Lol sometmes I even struggle to get a hard count of how many secrets Hinatas keeping. But yeah I'd say it's safe to say there's more to come.

Hinata is a fascinating character to write since he's super trusting but his knowledge of the world around him is so incredibly hit or miss that he has no idea how big the secrets he keeps generally are. Oikawa would strangle him.

asahi stops you before you can walk any further, lowering himself down to one knee before you. wordlessly, he pulls your undone shoelaces loose so that he can tie them properly. you watch as he pulls it tight, looking up at you for a second before he stands back up.

"there." he says. for a second, his eyes glimpse down to your lips, and then back to your eyes. he says nothing, though, and instead takes your hand. "sorry for stopping you--"

"its okay," you giggle, intertwining your fingers with his. quickly, you lean in to peck him on the cheek. "thank you for looking for me, honey."

no matter how long you've been together, asahi always gets flustered when you call him by a term of endearment. usually, you just call him by his name... but you like the way he smiles, squeezing your hand a little. he goes on talking about the museum he's taking you to, and you just smile, nodding along and asking questions, happy to see him excited.

High Fever

Hi! Can you please do one Asahi fic where he's feverish and has stomach problems and is just super sick? Thank u so much I love your fics a lot!

It was the time of year where Winter was beginning to transition into Spring. Everyone was glad that the seasons were changing because it also meant the end of flu season. It had been a particularly bad flu season this year, as nearly everyone under YG entertainment, artists and staff alike, had all seemingly been hit by the bug. 

For the members of Treasure, the flu bug had hit right when all the award shows were starting. This meant that only a couple members had been able to attend at any given time because everyone else was stuck in bed. Asahi was the one member whose immune system managed to keep the bug away, because he had been in attendance at every award show. Even after all his members had recovered, he still hadn’t come down with anything. Which shows just how strong his immune system was. Being in an apartment with eleven other people, all of whom are sick with a contagious virus. It was definitely a bit of a surprise that the Japanese member hadn’t gotten sick.

Now however, it was a different story. Whether it be from the fluctuating temperature that comes with the change in season, or Asahi’s immune system came into contact with a bug it couldn’t quite fight, or maybe a combination, the Japanese member had woken up feeling like death warmed over. He groaned as he got out of bed,wincing a little at the achiness he felt in his joints as he stood up. Unfortunately as soon as he stood up, he was struck with a wave of vertigo and immediately had to sit back down on his bed. He waited a couple more minutes before slowly standing up again. When he didn’t get dizzy, he decided to slowly make his way to the living room.

The other eleven members were already awake, and they were making a decent amount of noise as they got ready for their day. Asahi couldn’t help but wince as the volume was aggravating a headache he didn’t realize he had. Another wave of dizziness hit him just then and Asahi had to use the wall to brace himself.  It quickly became apparent to him that standing up and even walking was taking too much energy, so he slid to the floor to sit down.

A few minutes later, Jihoon entered the hallway from the kitchen and saw Asahi sitting on the floor, staring at the opposite wall. “Sahi, what are you doing on the floor?” Jihoon didn’t get a response. He tried asking again, but Asahi was still silent. He eventually approached the younger man and waved his hand in front of his face, which broke whatever trance the Japanese member had been in. “Sahi, what are you doing on the floor?” He asked again.

“Kitchen’s too far. Floor is much closer.” Asahi said. Although his words were slurring together a bit. Jihoon was getting concerned and quickly left to grab Hyunsuk. In the brief amount of time Asahi was left alone, he had completely zoned out again. The two leaders decided to just pick him up and carry him to the couch. It was closer than his bedroom and they didn’t want him to continue sitting on the floor.

The two leaders got Asahi to the couch and Hyunsuk placed his hand on Asahi’s forehead, only to immediately retract it. “Can someone get the thermometer? Sahi’s burning up.” He called. He could hear someone saying that they were on it, and a minute later Yedam walked into the living room holding the oral thermometer.

Yedam stuck the device in Asahi’s mouth and the minute-long wait was a bit nerve wracking. When the thermometer beeped, Yedam removed the device and swore. "Hyung's temp is 39.5 (103.1F)." Both Jihoon and Hyunsuk swore as well when they heard how high his fever was.

"Okay, we need to get his temp lowered or take him to the hospital. I'll run a lukewarm bath and we'll bathe him for a bit." Hyunsuk said. The other members had come to see what was going on. All of them were concerned at how quickly the Japanese member had gotten so sick. Yedam and Jihoon worked to carry Asahi to the bathroom and Mashiho went to grab some new pajamas for the sick member.

"Hyung, we need to get ready to practice." Asahi said to Yedam as the younger began undressing him. Yedam gave Jihoon a look of concern before speaking .

"You're not going to work today, hyung. You're too sick. Asahi nodded and Yedam wasn't sure how much his hyung actually heard. The two members helped Asahi bathe, and pulled him out of the bath when they felt the water was getting too cold. Mashup helped dress his fellow 2001 liner and the trio brought him back to the couch.

After Asahi got settled on the couch, the rest of the group began discussing who was going to say back. No one was comfortable leaving Asahi alone given how high his fever had been. It was ultimately decided that Yedam, Mashiho, and Jeongwoo would stay and take care of the sick member.

Right before the eight members left, Hyunsuk wanted to make sure that Asahi took some fever reducers. Thankfully, it wasn’t too difficult to get him to take the pills. Although Yoshi had to tell Asahi in Japanese what the pills were for. Asahi merely didn’t know illness related vocab in Korean and the others aside from Yoshi and Mashiho didn’t know the same words in Japanese.

Not too long after the others left, Asahi had fallen asleep on the couch. Yedam, Mashiho, and Jeongwoo decided to take the opportunity to tidy up around the dorm for a bit. Jeongwoo did laundry and Yedam cleaned up the kitchen while simultaneously making some porridge for Asahi to eat later. Mashiho had organized the front entrance because twelve people in one dorm can easily make the entryway pretty messy. It hadn’t taken Mashiho as long as he thought it was going to take him to clean the entryway, so he moved back to the living room to check on Asahi. He grabbed the thermometer and placed the device in the sleeping member’s mouth. He held it in place until it beeped then looked at the number. Thankfully the combination of the cool bath and the medicine had lowered his fever to 38.4 (101.1). Mashiho then went to the kitchen to help with cleaning and organizing everything there.

By the time the porridge was done, Jeongwoo had finished with starting a load of laundry in the wash and sorting through the clean clothes that had been sitting in the dryer. Given the time and knowing Asahi hadn't eaten yet, the trio decided to wake him up. Mashiho scooped some of the porridge into a bowl and grabbed a spoon.

Jeongwoo had managed to kind of wake Asahi. The sick member was now sitting up, but otherwise still looked asleep. “Sahi, I need you to wake up so you can eat some food.” Mashiho said. Asahi didn’t really respond. He kind of whined and put his head on Jeongwoo’s shoulder. Mashiho sighed. “I know you don’t feel good right now, but you need to eat so your body has enough energy to get better faster.”

“Stomach hurts.” Asahi responded after a beat. The other three frowned when he said this. “Hyung, do you feel nauseous, or do you think your stomach hurts because you’re hungry?” Yedam asked. Asahi tiredly shrugged and whined again.

“How about we try eating something and we’ll go from there. Okay, hyung?” Jeongwoo asked as he helped prop the older up so that he could eat. Mashiho then somewhat awkwardly fed Asahi several spoonfuls of porridge. The sick member only ate around a quarter of the food before he decided that he was done eating.

Once Asahi was done eating, Mashiho put the porridge in the fridge for later and Yedam turned on the tv. Although it seemed that Asahi was far more interested in sleeping than watching anything. He tried to watch whatever his dongsaeng had put on, but it was way too hard to focus on it. Asahi was finding it hard to keep his eyes open. Being sick coupled with the fact that he just ate even though it wasn’t a lot, made his body want to go back to sleep. After around half an hour of trying to stay awake and follow the show, Asahi’s eyes fell shut and his head lolled to the side.

Jeongwoo, at some point, had gotten up to use the bathroom while Asahi had still been awake. When he had returned, Asahi was sound asleep and was curled up in the section of couch that he had previously been occupying. He smiled while shaking his head before going to Asahi’s room to grab his blanket. He returned to the living room and covered the sick member with it before moving to the floor. Yedam and Mashiho had both given him a weird look initially because they hadn’t realized that Asahi had fallen asleep.

Around an hour after Asahi had fallen back asleep Jeongwoo had gotten a text from one of the others asking how the Japanese member was doing. He typed out a reply saying that he’d been sleeping for the past hour, but they had been able to get a small amount of food in him. Jeongwoo was then asked how Asahi’s fever was and he frowned as he placed a hand on his forehead. He then grabbed the thermometer and slipped into Asahi’s mouth, unintentionally waking him in the process.

Asahi groaned as he stretched awake, eyes slowly opening. He saw Jeongwoo standing above and felt something plastic and metal in his mouth. “Hyung, I’m just taking your temperature, but if you could please move your tongue to the correct position, that would be a great help.” Asahi stared blankly for a second before grabbing the thermometer and moving it so it was under his tongue.

The four members waited for the device to beep and Jeongwoo frowned again as he looked at the number. “It’s up again. Not as high as it was this morning, but it is higher. Now it’s at 38.8 (102F). Jeongwoo sent the updated temperature in the group chat and Yedam went to get their fever patches so he could put one on his hyung.

The rest of the day was spent similarly. Asahi spent the day mostly sleeping. The fever took the majority of his appetite, but the members made sure to give him a small amount of porridge every couple of hours to make sure that his body would have enough energy to fight the bug he caught.

With medicine, fever patches, and cool baths, they had managed to keep Asahi’s fever lower than what it had been that morning, but he was definitely staying in the dorm until further notice. The manager wasn't too happy about this, but Asahi staying home for a few days was definitely better than a trip to the hospital due to a dangerously high fever.

By the time the others had gotten home from their schedules, Asahi was now fairly awake. He was able to sit with the members at dinner and was awake enough to keep conversation. Although he still wasn't all that hungry.

"Quick question Sahi." Hyunsuk said "Were you feeling sick at all prior to today, or did it come on suddenly?" The leader asked. He merely wanted to know if the younger had been hiding anything. Asahi thought for a moment before responding.

"I've been a bit tired the past couple days. But that's pretty much it. Given how much energy we expend as idols it makes sense to occasionally feel exhausted. I didn't even think I was getting sick." Hyunsuk nodded at that and the conversation was dropped.

The members had quickly discussed their schedules for the next couple of days. No one was comfortable leaving Asahi home alone in case his fever spiked or was otherwise incapacitated. They decided to rotate who would stay home with the sick man over the few days, and when they got the schedule figured out, they all moved to the living room for a movie. Even though Asahi had slept almost the entire day and he really should be wide awake, he couldn’t help but fall asleep twenty minutes in. His head falling onto the member sitting on his right.
