Chapter Two

Ever since that barbecue party, Asahi and I started to hang out more during my stay in Japan that summer. At first, I was shy to ask my dad for Asahi's address so I could visit him.

"The Hamada's address?"

"Yeah," I replied shyly.

"Did you befriend that young boy?" my father asked with a small smile and I just nodded.

"Well, today is your lucky day." my father said. "I was about to go there because your uncle invited me over for a drink."

"Can I go with you?" I asked.

"Of course sweetie," he said and lightly patted my head.

I got ready and brought my journal with me. The walk over to Asahi's house wasn't that long. Once we arrived, the Hamada's received us warmly and invited us inside. I was still feeling shy, so I just sat next to my father while he was having a joyous conversation with Asahi's dad.

"Asahi is in his room, do you want me to call him?" Mrs. Hamada said to me, she must have noticed me looking around. "Or if you want, you can go upstairs and call him yourself,"

Go up to his room? Can I do that?

"That boy is probably reading, you won't disturb him," she commented, noticing my hesitation. "you might surprise him even."

I nodded and slowly stood up.

"His room is the first door to the left," Mrs. Hamada tells me.

I went upstairs and stood in front of the door, pulling up my fist ready to knock on the door when this suddenly opened and Asahi was standing in front of me with a surprised expression.

"Hana?" he said but I froze when I noticed he was shirtless, I immediately turned around and I felt my cheeks burn.

"Oh, sorry," he said as he quickly put on a shirt. "you can turn around."

I slowly turned around and somehow I couldn't look into his eyes.

"Uh, it was hot and I didn't know we had company," he apologetically said. "do you want to come inside?"

"Okay," was all I could say in that moment.

Being in a boy's room it's weird but his room felt cozy and his seemed different from a regular 16-year-old boy room.

I looked around and he had some figurines on his shelf alongside some books, some mangas as well. Then I noticed he had a piano next to his bed.

"Do you play?" I asked as I played around with the keys.

"Yeah, it's just a hobby, I don't play it professionally though." he explained and I just nodded.

"Can you play me a song that you know?" I requested and that left him a little bit surprised.

"Sure," he agreed and sat on his bed, stretching his fingers before playing the piano.

As soon as he started playing, my heart fluttered a bit and I was drawn into him. The way his fingers hit the keys to form a melody was delicate and I was mesmerized by how he looked so peaceful playing the piano.

"What's the song called?" I asked as he finished playing.

"I actually made it myself, so I don't know what's it called yet."

He made that melody?

"It's beautiful, do you have lyrics for it?"

"Not yet,"

After spending that day with Asahi, I got to know him more and I felt that he wasn't that shy with me anymore, which made me excited to hang out more with him.

Hyunsuk: Stops dead in his tracks when he sees you wearing his favorite hoodie. His heart almost explodes by how cute you look in his favorite piece of clothing. He isn’t quite sure how you got it, or when you found it but it doesn’t matter at all to him. He’s just so happy that you’re wearing his clothes, he’s such a happy bf. He can’t stop his heart from melting seeing you in his clothes.

Jihoon: Honestly, by how adorable you look in his hoodie, you might as well take the whole closet. He can’t say anything, he just has sneak up on you and give you a big BIG hug. His favorite thing about you wearing his hoodie, is how much it smells like you once you give it back to him. He teases you about “stealing” all of his sweatshirts but we all know he’s leaving them out in hopes that you take them LOL.

Yoshi: He gets so flustered and it’s so cute omg 😫. All he can do is smile from ear-to-ear at you because he knows if he says anything it’s going to come out all cracked and pitchy. That’s how good you look in his hoodies. You literally take his breath away. Everytime you come over he’s always reminding you to take one of his hoodies, shirts literally anything. It makes his day just seeing how beautiful you look in HIS clothes 😭

Junkyu: He tries to act mad at you for stealing his hoodie, but on the inside his heart is meltingggg. He is so happy to see you clinging onto his hoodie while you wear it, it’s the cutest thing ever. All he can do is sit and watch you, It doesn’t no matter what you’re doing. He is totally in awe just from the fact that you’re wearing HIS hoodie. Don’t be mad when you find a whole pile of his hoodies that he left at your place for you to wear.

Jaehyuk: It’s a cuteness overload for him. He can barely think; nor breath when he sees how big his hoodie looks on you, or how adorable you look. “Where’d you get that” “In your closet, do you like it Jaehyukie?” He almost passed out right then and there, you’re wearing his hoodie AND calling him pet names, okay you’re getting too bold now LOL, he makes sure to hold you extra extra tight, he’s just so fluffy and sweet for the rest of the day.

Asahi: He’s probably the most level-headed member when he sees you all snuggled up in his hoodie; he can’t help but just come over and plant sweet little kisses all over your face. It makes him so happy, he just feels so special knowing that you’re wearing HIS hoodie, out of everyone else, him. Little moments like these is where he is extra grateful to be your boyfriend. He makes sure you know that too. You’ll have a collection of his clothes in no time LOL

Doyoung: He gets clingy so quick when he sees you wearing ANY type of clothing that’s his, especially his hoodies. He just gets so boyfriend-y if that makes sense. Cuddling you so soft, asking you if your hungry, taking millions of pictures to capture the moment, it’s just so sweet. He makes sure to take a polaroid of you in his hoodie, so when he misses you he can just look at that photo and feel better. (btws he probs takes that photo with him everywhere, it’s like his good-luck charm, he can’t go without it)

Haruto: Ohhh boy, his ego skyrockets when he sees you wearing his hoodie. It’s more of a possessive thing for him, not in a toxic way, but when he sees you in his clothes; it’s a way of showing everyone that you’re his partner and no one else’s. He makes sure to stay close to you the whole time, not even caring if he’s embarrassing himself by the immediate PDA around everyone else. He always gives you extra kisses when you’re wearing his hoodies.

Jeongwoo: He becomes a simp so quick; like he’s literally willing to do anything if you ask him to. He makes sure to put cologne on all of his hoodies just in case you ask for another one of them, just so they can smell like him when you wear them. Will randomly just give you a hoodie, and when you ask him why he’ll reply back, “Keep it, it looks better on you” AHHHH. Also somehow, cuddles just always hit different to him when you’re wearing his hoodies, like you just get so soft.

Junghwan: A deep shade of red appears all over his face, he can’t express his joy in any other way then the cutest little giggle ever. He can’t help himself but to just run over to you, pick you up and spin you around in his arms, followed by a sickening amount of kisses. He gets so so happy seeing you in his hoodie. There’s this soft spot that he has for you, and every time you wear his hoodie that spot for you gets bigger and bigger. It’s so sweet :(

"are you sure this is all you want this year?"

asahi's eyes are still shut, his head resting in your lap while you play with his hair. this morning, he went out with his friends to celebrate his birthday. hours later, he came to your place, and this is the third movie you've started since then. his hand rests on your thigh, just in front of his face, and he nods without looking at you.

"it's perfect," he says, voice soft. he sounds like he's about to doze off right here and now. after a moment, he peeks up at you, glasses slightly askew. "... are you uncomfortable? i can move--"

you just gently push him back down, toying with one of his earrings for a moment. "you're perfect," you hum. "i just... felt bad i didn't do more for you, i guess."

"you do enough." he settles back in. "i like being here with you. that's all i need this year, okay?"

with a sigh, you relent. asahi's always been the kind of boyfriend who's up front with this kind of thing, a blessing in its own way when you're feeling particularly anxious. you just pat his cheek, only for him to reach up, grabbing your hand before you can go back to playing with his hair.

all too tenderly, he draws your hand to him, pressing a kiss right at the base of your palm where it meets your wrist. and then he lets go, smiling to himself as you go back to playing with his hair, snuggling back in for the third movie of the night.

he doesn’t know if he loves or hates the way he can’t drink coffee anymore unless it’s yours, but all cafes have become irrelevant to him. he doesn’t care if those cafe’s have fresh artisan crafted beans, or have some special rose cream foam at all. it doesn’t matter even if your coffee is literally an instant coffee packet that you just add chocolate powder to - it’s the best coffee in the world and there’s no telling him otherwise. jihoon doesn’t actually know much about the differences of coffee, if he actually likes the taste of it, or if he just likes to correlate the image of you across the counter from him having breakfast together, but his favorite thing is seeing you first thing in the morning when you plan to meet for a day together, and you’re already sitting on the couch in their dorm with two mugs of coffee on the table in front of you.

ah yoshinori, our darling lover boy. we all saw how freaking cute he would be on dates (he said it himself in his t-log how he wanted to make his vlog seem like we were on a date with him). but thrifting dates?? so. cute. he’d love taking you out to different places and finding these cute things for each other (and omg sharing them?? that’s so cute. BUT something he would find especially endearing is when you end up going thrifting on your own or with some friends, but still manage to bring him back the most vintage, most yoshi-like piece. somehow you always are able to bring back something exactly his style or something he’s looking for and he finds himself falling for you a little more every time he realizes you know him so well to the point that you’re shopping for him!! yoshi loves how knowing each other’s styles has just become instinctive in your relationship, and you best believe he’ll treasure all the things you buy him for the rest of his life.

our sleepy baby is a homebody at heart (so am i kyu, i feel you), but that doesn’t mean he won’t leave home when it comes to you inviting him places. maybe it’s more so because you seem to know exactly when he actually does feel like going out, but kyu finds it absolutely freaking heartwarming when you tell him excitedly about a place you want to visit with him or take him too. he feels special in that he’s the one you go to, not anyone else, when you want to experience something new with him because he might be interested. new experiences can be scary, but being with someone you trust makes them a tad bit less. so find new cafes, or restaurants, or art studios. tell him all about it because he will totally be down to try new things with you!

bringing him stuff you bake

yoon jaehyuk gives me falling in love with someone even sweeter than him vibes. is that possible? almost not because we all know this boy is the embodiment of all things precious and sweet. but the moment this boy lays his eyes on you as you take his order at a cafe he stumbles upon one day, he falls head over heels for you and the way you seem to always recommend the perfect things for him to try every time he visits. further into your official relationship, jae lives for the times you go to him first whenever you try out a new recipe, bringing him the first batch of whatever pastry or dessert you bake. some are meh and the most others are drool-worthy, but jae finishes everything you make him nonetheless because the fact that you put your hard work into something and came to him first makes him realize how much trust you have in him in seeing possible flaws in your work.

please, every single time a tweet or weverse comes out with this boy’s film work, i literally swoon bc how is asahi literally the epitome of my aesthetic? he has the most beautiful pieces of photography ever and captures the smallest yet important moments with the members. that one thread of his film photos while he was out with ruto, hwan, jaehyuk, and i think also jeongwoo? those are my favorite roommates right there. that being said, because a lot of times, asahi takes candid photos of others in their natural state, he finds himself feeling really important and wanted when you show him a photo you had secretly taken of him. to him, it kind of feels like your way of saying, “hey, i think you’re beautiful in the times you might not think you are, because you’re perfect to me no matter what.” this bby wouldn’t know how to react when you show him because he’s so overwhelmed with emotion that he kind of just smiles and shrinks into himself, PLS he’s so adorable.

ah kim doyoung, our resident angel. we all know how our precious boy (or literally all of treasure) is so respectful of everyone whether he’s close with them or not, but his manner hands whenever he’s passing stuff to someone, or the way he seems to feed or give food to others before himself is something that tells me that our dobby would be absolutely enamored with someone with the same mannerisms. the first time he took you out to a family dinner (family dinner meaning a dinner with the other members), he would literally swoon when he catches you holding your hand under his sleeve when he’s reaching for something at the table, or when he catches you sneaking his favorite chicken pieces onto his plate. dobby sees you sitting back to let the other boys serve themselves before you, or to hand dish plates past you before taking food for yourself, and he can’t help but think about how perfect you guys are for each other.

渡辺温斗 、WATANABE HARUTO !

the way you get along with his sister

we know that haruto loves airi so so much. the way he speaks about her and thinks about her during tmap so 37 (?) shows how much he loves his family, and how much he protects and cares for his sister. so when haruto sees you and airi playing and joking around with each other, completely comfortable with skinship as if she were your own little sister, he absolutely melts. just knowing that there’s someone other than his family that can make her smile has him feeling some kind of way, and a fond smile can’t help but make his way onto his face. he might tease you, asking if you like his sister better than him and pretending his heart doesn’t skip a beat when he sees you braiding airi’s hair, but the question alone just shows that he appreciates that you’re getting along with his family (and that he might be a little jealous lol).

when you compliment him

mr. i can’t take a compliment but i will hype literally everyone i care about. ah, our lovely boy. our jeongwoo’s always been a little shy - no matter how loud he is, he’s still a true introvert and this might be why he finds it hard to take compliments easily. it breaks my heart when he says things that imply that he’s not handsome or that the other members are more handsome than he is because he’s so beautiful on the inside and outside, so i think that his s/o should often remind him of this. he would definitely feel butterflies when you compliment anything about him, his voice, his look for the day, his skills, his personality, blushing and looking down with a smile because he doesn’t know where to look. ask him why he’s so handsome, ask him what made him look so pretty, ask him why he’s so talented and amazing that you can’t believe how lucky you are to have him - this boy will not know what to do with himself. jeongwoo is so so so precious, and i hope that he realizes how much we all love him because he deserves the world. fun fact: jeongwoo is the first member i noticed (besides having already known yedam from the skz survival show) because i thought he was so pretty and funny lol.

support him through his academics

i think we’re all well aware that our poor baby is just working his butt off to survive high school and i want to commend him immensely for all the hard work he’s put in academically while balancing the idol life. i don’t think i could ever survive a lifestyle as fast-paced as the one this boy lives and i’m so extremely proud of him for it. that being said, something tells me that junghwan would just absolutely appreciate any help and support you would give him while he’s balancing practice and school work. whether it be quizzing him for the next big exam he has or helping him out with chores just so that he doesn’t have to worry about them, he will fall for you a little bit more than he already has. he might not outright ask you for help, but the way that you somehow pick up on what he needs without him saying anything has him feeling a little more butterflies in his stomach just because of the way you know him so well without him even having to mention anything.

Asahi’s fingers lingered at the middle of your back a little longer than you expected, ever-so-careful to tie your apron in the same tender way you tied his. He was repaying the favor, yes, but he liked having this tiny way to dote on you before he let you take the lead. This recipe was yours, after all: he was merely a willing participant in creating it, happy to follow your instruction however you needed him to. If that was through chopping apples the way you demonstrated, then so be it.

“You said this recipe is important to you.” He meant it as a question, even though his voice didn’t raise toward the end. A moment later, he looked up from where he’d stopped, mid-chop, to peer at you. “Right?”

It suddenly clicked, and you looked up with a smile. “Yeah! My mom and I used to make these when I was little,” you hummed. “They’re apple pie cookies. I mean, they’re more like mini apple pies, but they’re like… cookie shaped.”

He smiled a little, going back to work. He loved the tiny quirks you held when you spoke, always so bright and brilliant and bold. He’d been dating you for just over a year now, and he still wished he knew how to capture you perfectly whenever he doodled you in his notebook during class, or in his sketchbook as he watched you work. Asahi could see every little thing that made you you, but he hadn’t learned how to master that in his art. Then again, you always told him that he made you look more attractive in his art. 

Did he? He just drew you. Surely, that meant you were doing all the work. He was just trying to capture it. 

“I was thinking that we’d make a few batches and hand them out to people on campus. My friends… yours, too, if you’d like. I think Yoshi would like these.” Asahi could see the tiny way a smile tugged at your lips, oh-so-subtly. “Don’t you agree?”

“Yes.” His voice always felt so small when he spoke to you. So much softer. Yet you never pushed him to step out of his comfort zone, always glad to take the lead when he was getting tired. That was another reason why he loved you and found you far more stunning than anything else: your kindness always shone through. “Why though?”

“I dunno. Just felt like doing something nice–”

“No, I mean–Why these cookies?” He paused, “There’s easier recipes, right?”

“Oh! It’s fall.” 

Asahi furrowed his brows. “That’s all?”

He could see the hesitation on your face as you averted your gaze, suddenly growing far more flustered. You chewed on your lip for a moment, and then took in a deep breath, slowly exhaling. “And… I wanted to maybe try and start something special with you.” 

Asahi looked up yet again, confused. “What do you mean?”

“I think… I want you in my life for a long time.” 

Just over a year together, and he felt his heart stir at the idea. He felt the same way, if he was honest.

“And these cookies have been in my life for a long time, too, so…” You stared down at the dough you were rolling out. “I dunno. I guess I was just thinking a lot…”

Asahi was rarely the one who initiated skinship in any way. Yet he made his way over to you, leaning in to press a kiss against your temple, as tender as he could be. When you looked up from your work to look at him, he just felt flustered all over again. He’d felt shy when he first met you, crushing hard over how sweet you were with him. 

“I feel the same way,” he said, soft as could be. Stay here in my life, too.

coming home after a tiring day of work was the happiest moment of your day — but coming home to your beloved husband and lovely child; there were no words that could describe the happiness you felt.

hamada asahi was the perfect husband. be it the fact he focused more on working at home so he could look after your child. or even how he encouraged you to return to work, letting you know he’d always be supportive of your choices.

you quietly entered the house, wondering what was occupying the father-child duo this time. upon arriving home a few days ago, you were welcomed with your husband dozed off on the play mat while your baby had a field day playing by themself. the picture you captured then was currently your wallpaper, bringing a smile to your face whenever you unlocked your phone.

what are they up to today?

hearing the familiar sound of asahi’s singing, you followed his voice, wondering if he was working on a new song. “whatever you want, whatever you need, i can even grab that star. whatever you want, whatever you need, i’ll always be by your side,” he sang, making you peek inside the room.

hamada asahi — treasure’s renowned producer, visual and lyricist — as well as a loving husband and father stood in the middle of the room, rocking your little bundle of joy in his arms softly as he sang, lulling the baby to sleep.

“i love you, little one,” he softly muttered, placing your child in their cot once they had fallen asleep. “forever and always.” his words were just above a whisper, almost as if it was a secret between him and your baby.

a warm smile adorned your face upon seeing the way asahi looked at your child. your heart beating crazily at the simple observation as his gaze gave away exactly how much your child meant to him. you knocked on the door, getting the attention of your husband, who seemed to be too occupied — even though he was merely watching your child with heart eyes.

asahi turned as he saw you standing in the doorway, smiling fondly in greeting. “you are home.” he watched as you had a giddy smile on your face, looking like you knew something he didn’t. “what’s with the face, love?”

“nothing … i just love you, hamada asahi.”

author's note. i know this trend died ages ago but i was having silly little thoughts and giggling to myself so i thought why not just write it down and share the silliness with everyone... have this while i finish my jihoon fic <3

for some reason, he would think you were adorable for asking that question. he’d smile really wide, eyes crinkling as he hugged you and called you cute over and over again. he wouldn’t answer, would just shake his head and chuckle at you, completely endeared. even if you asked the question over and over again, he’d flat out ignore you and continue to chuckle and call you cute.

he just does not take you seriously. it’s been hours since you asked the question and he’s still making fun of you for it, to the point that you regret bringing the topic up in the first place. he hasn’t given you any sort of answer too, just thinks it’s hilarious you would ask that. but then you say that you would dump him if he became a worm, and he starts an argument over it.

i feel like he’s the only one who would actually give a satisfactory answer. correct me if i’m wrong, but doesn’t he already keep some sort of animal? he’d build you a little worm house with everything worms need and would look after you and talk to you every day.

he’d actually beat you to asking that question. he’d come home one day looking really worried, and when you asked him what was wrong, would ask you if you’d still love him if he became a worm. if you reply anything else other than yes, he’d be so upset and would need so much comforting.

jaehyuk

for some reason i think you asking him that question would make him so upset. like he’d start imagining you actually turning into a worm and he would just start crying, mourning your human form. you’d end up having to coddle him instead of the other way around.

asahi

he knows you, and he knows you’d start pouting for no reason if he told you the truth, so he plays along, telling you yes of course i’ll still love you no matter what don’t worry. but if it really happened, he’d put you outside so you could find other worm friends.

doyoung

“the real question is, would you still love me if you were a worm?” he thinks that by becoming a worm you’d lose your ability to love, among other emotions, so really, he’s the one who should be worried. anyway, it wouldn’t be a problem for him - he’d rizz anything up, even a worm.

haruto

listen he is a busy man with a tiring job, he doesn’t need the additional stress. he tells you straight-up no, and desperately tries to understand why that makes you so upset, to no avail. “but babe, worms aren’t sexy…”

he’s another one that gets stressed out. he really wants to say yes, but realistically, he knows it wouldn’t be possible and that even if he kept you in a cage or something he’d move on at some point. when he tells you this, naturally, you get very upset, so he tries to make it up to you the whole evening, but he’s just as shaken as you are about the thought of you turning into a worm.

Chapter One

I remember I was fifteen, my parents and I went to a trip to Japan during the summer to visit my father's side of the family. I didn't have any friends there so I just expected to see my relatives.

I couldn't really bond with my cousins because they were either ten years older or younger than me. I just hang out with myself, my music and my journal. For me it wasn't a problem or a sad thing being alone, I really found it peaceful and calming. Though, for my parents, they thought I needed some socializing.

One day, my dad invited some of his closest friends and we had a barbecue party. One of his friends had a son, a year older than me but at least we were closer in age.

I wasn't really good at meeting new people and I didn't really interact much with boys.

His name was Hamada Asahi and he was the boy I met in Osaka.

He wore the most simple outfit, he was wearing a white shirt tucked into his loose beige pants and a brown belt that secured it. He looked cute and as a normal fifteen year old, I developed a crush.

I noticed he was shy since he only had a neutral expression and he was only focused on his phone.

I didn't know what came over me but I had the courage to come up to him and start a conversation, I wanted to be out of my comfort zone for a change.

"Hi," I only manage to say, standing in front of him.

He looked up and just nodded his head and went back to his phone.

Okay, let's try this again.

"My name is Hana," I introduced myself. "What's your name?"

He pointed at himself and I nodded showing him a small smile.

"Asahi," he said and awkwardly looked away.

"Can I sit here?" I asked and pointed the spot next to him.

"Yeah, sure."

I sat next to him and brought out my journal, he went back to playing games on his phone and I just started scribbling and doodling to pass the time.

I noticed that he kept turning to my side and his little actions made me smile.

"You draw?" he asked, looking at my journal.

"Oh this, I try," I replied. "I'm not an artist though."

"But this is nice," he complimented and that made me smile.

"Thanks," I said. "How about you? Do you draw?"

"Yeah," he said shyly.

"Oh, then how about you draw something here?" I said as I gave him my journal.

He was slightly taken aback but took the notebook nonetheless.

"Are you sure? This notebook looks very personal,"

It is personal but somehow I don't mind it.

"Yeah, I would like to see you draw," I insisted.

"Okay then," he finally gave in and took the pencil from me.

His fingertips slightly brushed my hand and it gave me butterflies, I started blushing but he didn't noticed it because he was focused on drawing. I was in awe of how he was so into what he was doing, first I was watching the picture he was drawing then I slowly let my stare up into his face.

I found it so cute with his eyebrows furrowed and his pouty lips, it made me crack a smile.

I think I might have a small crush on him ...

asahi stops you before you can walk any further, lowering himself down to one knee before you. wordlessly, he pulls your undone shoelaces loose so that he can tie them properly. you watch as he pulls it tight, looking up at you for a second before he stands back up.

"there." he says. for a second, his eyes glimpse down to your lips, and then back to your eyes. he says nothing, though, and instead takes your hand. "sorry for stopping you--"

"its okay," you giggle, intertwining your fingers with his. quickly, you lean in to peck him on the cheek. "thank you for looking for me, honey."

no matter how long you've been together, asahi always gets flustered when you call him by a term of endearment. usually, you just call him by his name... but you like the way he smiles, squeezing your hand a little. he goes on talking about the museum he's taking you to, and you just smile, nodding along and asking questions, happy to see him excited.
