How to Lose Fat Quickly
Losing weight is nothing but losing body fat. Many people aim to lose body fat when they are obese or overweight. Fat is stored in every cell of our body in specialized fat-storing cells called adipocytes. When we consume more calories than needed, the excess fatty acids generated by the metabolism of food are stored in adipocytes and later used when the body requires energy. So, fat functions as an energy fuel for the body, mostly helpful in starving conditions. Fats have many benefits when available in limited quantities.
1. Energy Storage
Fat is the body's main way of storing energy. When you're not eating, the body breaks down fat to use as a fuel source, especially during prolonged periods of activity or fasting.
2. Protection and Insulation
Cushioning vital organs: Fat acts as a cushion around essential organs like the heart, kidneys, and liver, protecting them from injury or trauma.
Thermal insulation: Body fat helps maintain a stable internal temperature by insulating the body and preventing excessive heat loss.
3. Essential Nutrient Absorption
Dietary fats are required for the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K). Without enough fat, the body can't efficiently absorb these vitamins, leading to deficiencies.
4. Hormone Production
Fat plays a pivotal role in the production and regulation of hormones. For example, adipose tissue (fat stores) is involved in the production of leptin, which helps regulate appetite and energy balance.
Sex hormones (e.g., estrogen and testosterone) are also synthesized from fats, making adequate fat levels critical for reproductive health.
5. Brain Health
The brain is about 60% fat, and fatty acids are essential for cognitive function and neural health. Omega-3 fatty acids, in particular, are vital for brain development, reducing inflammation, and protecting against neurodegenerative diseases.
6. Cell Structure and Function
Fats, particularly phospholipids, are key components of cell membranes. They maintain the structure and fluidity of cells, allowing them to function properly and protect against harmful substances.
7. Healthy Skin and Hair
Fat is essential for maintaining skin elasticity and hydration. Without adequate fats, the skin can become dry and flaky. Dietary fats also support hair health, making it shiny and less prone to damage.
8. Satiety and Appetite Control
Fats slow down digestion, which helps keep you feeling full longer after meals. This can aid in managing hunger and preventing overeating.
9. Immune Function
Healthy fats, especially omega-3 fatty acids, help modulate the immune system, reducing inflammation and promoting the proper functioning of immune cells.
However, excess body fat, particularly when it's concentrated around the abdomen, can lead to various health complications: cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, respiratory issues, joint and mobility problems, liver disease, increased cancer risk, reproductive and hormonal issues, etc.
Body Fat Norms for Women
Acceptable: 25-31%
Fitness: 21-24%
Athletes: 14-20%
Essential: 10-13%
Body Fat Norms for Men
Acceptable: 18-24%
Fitness: 14-17%
Athletes: 6-13%
Essential: 2-5%
Losing fat quickly requires a strategic combination of diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes. Here are some effective ways to achieve this safely and sustainably:
1. Create a Caloric Deficit
Calculate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) to consume fewer calories than your body burns. A deficit of about 500–750 calories per day can lead to a fat loss of 1–2 pounds per week. However, people who consume a low-carb diet have a 32% chance of early death compared to others who eat more carbs. So, it is essential to monitor your food intake by using apps like “Track your food intake” or journals to ensure you're maintaining the deficit.
2. Focus on Whole Foods
Prioritize lean proteins (e.g., chicken, fish, tofu), vegetables, fruits, and whole grains over processed foods.
Increase protein intake: Helps maintain muscle mass and increases feelings of fullness, which can prevent overeating.
Minimize added sugars and refined carbs: These foods can spike blood sugar and lead to increased fat storage.
3. Exercise Regularly
Strength training: Lifting weights or resistance exercises preserve muscle mass, boost metabolism, and help burn more fat.
High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT): This combines short bursts of intense exercise with periods of rest and is highly effective for fat loss.
Cardio: Regular aerobic exercise (e.g., running, cycling, swimming) can help increase your calorie burn.
4. Stay Hydrated
Drinking water can boost your metabolism slightly and reduce appetite. Aim for at least 8–10 glasses a day. Replace sugary drinks with water, green tea, or other low-calorie beverages.
5. Get Enough Sleep
Poor sleep is linked to weight gain and increased fat storage. Aim for 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night to support fat loss.
Newly Discovered ‘Mountain Tea’ melts 1lb daily
6. Reduce Stress
Chronic stress can lead to a surfeit of food and increased fat storage, especially around the abdomen. Implement relaxation methods such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga.
7. Consistency Over Speed
Quick fat loss often leads to muscle loss and can be unsustainable. It's better to aim for steady progress and build healthy habits for long-term success.
Additional Tips:
Intermittent fasting: This eating pattern involves alternating between periods of eating and fasting, which can help control calorie intake.
Increase Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis (NEAT): Move more throughout the day by walking, taking stairs, or standing instead of sitting.

How Much Do You Know About Blood Donation and Blood Bank?
Donating blood to someone to save their life is the kindest gesture of humanity. It is a voluntary procedure. You agree to have blood drawn out of your body so that it can be donated to someone who needs a blood transfusion. Millions of people may require blood transfusion for reasons such as surgery, accident, or any medical condition. Blood donation gives a new life to a person. While science and technology are surprising us with phenomenal inventions each day, the substitute for blood remains a far cry.
Blood donation has several types, each helping meet different medical needs. The blood that you donate is stored at the blood banks. Here is everything to know about blood donation and blood bank.
What is a Blood Bank?
Blood banks are facilities that aid the collection of blood from people who donate it. The role of these banks is to collect, categorise, process, test, as well as store blood until transfusion or other medical procedure is required by the hospitals. These banks work by collecting blood from a network of donors who donate their blood voluntarily.
Once collected, the blood is sent to the processing centre and centrifuged. It is followed by testing it for various diseases. The tested and safe blood is stored for up to 42 days. Based on their requirement and patient load, hospitals order blood from these banks.
What are the Different Types of Blood Donation?
Whole blood is the most common blood product blood banks store in their facilities. In addition, it is common to store other forms, including plasma, platelets, red cells, and more. Here are the different kinds of blood donation practices.
Whole Blood Donation
Whole blood donation involves donating half a litre or more blood from your body. Once done, it is separated into different components - red cells, platelets, and plasma.
Apheresis
In this type of blood donation, the blood is collected from the machine that separates different components of your blood immediately after it comes out of your body.
Platelet donation collects only platelets, and the remaining components are sent back to your body. Platelets help stop bleeding by clumping the blood in blood vessels. It is commonly donated to people who suffer from frequent clotting or during surgeries involving cancer, organ transplants, and more.
Double red cell donation takes a concentrated amount of red blood cells from your body and donates it to people with severe blood loss after an accident or injury. People who suffer from anaemia can also make use of this blood.
Plasma donation collects the plasma or liquid portion of the blood that helps clot the blood and contains antibodies to fight infection. It is commonly donated to patients in emergency and trauma situations.
Who is Eligible to Donate Blood?
You cannot randomly donate your blood to save a life. You need to fulfil all the eligibility requirements. These requirements may differ, depending on the type of donation.
You must be in good health.
You must be 18 years old or above.
You must fulfil the minimum requirement of donating blood.
You must be able to pass the physical and health-history assessments.
Who is not Eligible to Donate Blood?
Donating blood may have the risk of blood-borne infection. It is the reason why everyone is not eligible to donate their blood. Here is the list of people not eligible to donate blood.
People who use steroids, inject drugs or are into abuse of substances.
Anyone with a new sexual partner in the past three months or has had anal sex around the same duration.
People with multiple sex partners.
Anyone who has tested positive for HIV or has a medical condition like babesiosis in the past two years.
Anyone who has come in close contact with a person who has hepatitis B or hepatitis C.
What Happens Before Blood Donation Procedure?
Before the blood donation procedure, you will be required to fill out a confidential medical history form. You will also have to undergo a brief physical examination, which includes checking your blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. A small sample of blood will be taken from your finger prick to check the oxygen or haemoglobin levels. Once you meet all the requirements, you are ready to donate blood.
What Happens During Blood Donation Procedure?
Here’s how blood donation takes place.

How Do Gallstones Form? Shares Dr Amita Jain
Gallstones are a common medical condition affecting millions of people worldwide. They are solid particles that form in the gallbladder, a small organ located beneath the liver. Gallstones can range in size from tiny grains to large pebbles, and they can cause a variety of symptoms ranging from mild discomfort to severe pain. Understanding how gallstones form is essential in preventing and managing this condition. This blog explains Dr Amita Jain, the leading general and laparoscopic surgeon in Delhi who specialises in gallbladder stone removal surgery.
Dr Amita Jain explains what is the gallbladder
The gallbladder plays a crucial role in the digestive process by storing bile, a fluid produced by the liver that helps digest fats. Bile is composed of various substances, including cholesterol, bile salts, and bilirubin. When the balance of these components is disrupted, gallstones can develop.
What causes gallstones?
One of the primary factors contributing to the formation of gallstones is an imbalance in the composition of bile. Cholesterol gallstones, the most common type, form when there is an excess of cholesterol in the bile. This excess cholesterol can crystallize and aggregate, gradually forming into stones over time. Factors that increase cholesterol levels in the bile include obesity, a diet high in saturated fats…

12 Types of Trending Healthcare Software
Advancement in technology has opened the door to digital transformation in healthcare. The stakeholders are adopting new technologies to develop scalable, accessible, affordable, and sustainable healthcare solutions. The healthcare industry generates a humungous amount of data from different components including patients, hospitals, trauma care, and labs. Health applications are being introduced to unify and streamline this complex data using technology and the internet. Many medical applications have been developed to connect individuals at different locations with different skill sets and functions. The aim is to solve the problems of medical care with standard software engineering solutions.
Many healthcare apps have been launched in different healthcare domains such as health diagnostics and healthcare informatics. These apps have different designs, functions, and implementations. Here is a list of 12 types of popular healthcare industry applications benefitting the healthcare sector in multiple ways.
1. Electronic Health Records (EHR)
EHR is one of the emerging technologies in healthcare software applications wherein the healthcare provider and patients can benefit from the ability to electronically exchange and save health information. Healthcare organizations are adopting such technology to provide quality and safe medical care. The quick and up-to-date health-related information enables the healthcare provider to provide efficient and coordinated care. EHR apps bring in reliable, accurate, and streamlined care and billing. These technologies offer high security and privacy to patient data. Besides improved productivity, EHR offers higher efficiency to meet the business goals of any organization. The EHR can be further classified into two popular types – Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Software and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Software. The former is used to store patient information and the latter is used to record different data such as medical types, medicine dosages, patient procedures, and recovery courses of patients.
2. Hospital Management Software (HMS)
HMS introduces management and information capabilities to help hospitals streamline their processes. HMS often has two separate portals for hospital management and patients. The former acts as a database for all information required for the administration and management of the hospital. The patient portal offers a digital page for registration, billing, insurance, and every other aspect concerning the patients. HMS solutions are known to offer numerous benefits including reduced paperwork, reduced cost, improved user experience, higher data security, streamlined communication, error-free administration, and location-free access to MIS reports. On Shadow Work and the Spiritual Emanations and Thoughtforms of Emotions and the Subconscious self
Content:
Aspects of the psyche
Shadow work
Thoughtforms
Subconsciously created thoughtforms
Introduction
The human mind is a complex organism made of hundreds of intricate components. These components can be thought of as cores of memory and archetypes. We are going to be discussing these archetypes as if they were unique and independent beings or features within one’s psyche; but, it should be noted that this is not intended to be interpreted as literal. This being said, humans as a species tend to place information into a hierarchy, memories included. The subconscious mechanisms that fetch structured information from and write information into memories are these archetypes. If you have not read the work of Carl Jung (https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/carl-jung) , I advise doing so either before or shortly after reading this article. When it comes to witchcraft, there are only 3 of the Jungian archetypes that are predominant: The Shadow, Persona, and Anima/Animus.
This post is in no way an implication that shadow work is necessary to practice witchcraft.
The shadow
This archetype is the subconscious function for dealing with trauma and/or over/under stimulating experiences. The shadow is your mind’s best attempt at managing critical experiential information that the conscious mind would rather not process directly because of its complexity or emotional effects.
The Persona
This archetype is the aspect of the self that is a projection of what we think others would want to perceive us as. The persona is the mind’s best tool for social adaptation. It regularly stores and recalls the behaviors, body and facial languages of those around you and then projects them on to yourself in moments when you desire a sense of community.
The Anima & Animgus
The current structure and interpretation of this archetype is a little outdated in my opinion. However, it does have some validity for psychological applications. This archetype, at least where the current depiction is useful, is the mind’s process of gathering and projecting information about gender, sex, identity, and reproduction. It manages this subconscious information to find a mate, sexual partner, life partner, and self identity.
Shadow Work
It is important to note that Carl Jung is not the inventor of shadow work, and nor did he contribute anything significant; however, he did give us some english terminology to use when discussing it. Shadow work as a concept originated in several indigineous cultures in the Americas, as well as several Indian and African traditions. It is important that we do not allow mysticism and psychology to be white washed, so I recommend trying to do further research into the cultures that Jung borrowed ideas from (South America, North/Central Africa, India).
When it comes to shadow work, we don’t solely deal with the Shadow archetype, we deal with the persona and the anime*1 as well. Shadow work isn’t a solely magical practice, and includes going to therapy, self care, and psychiatry. Magical shadow work is based around the idea that our psyche can be and is affected by magic. There are a plethora of approaches to magical shadow work, while there are definitely some things you should avoid.
When performing shadow work magically, do not treat the shadow as if it were a separate entity from you. It may appear to be evil to you at times, it may house some of your worst traits, but all attempts to remove it will:
a)not work.
b)be temporary fixes at most.
c)likely result in the creation of a thoughtform.
This also applies to aspects of the Persona. Trying to magically will away behavioral traits will most likely result in the creation of a thoughtform. There are workarounds, but most of them revolve around actually going to therapy and speaking to a licenced professional. There are also bindings, which do not remove behavioral traits, but rather prevent them from happening while accepting that they do exist as part of you. If you are unfamiliar with bindings and how they operate I recommend checking out this article. (https://witchipedia.com/glossary/binding/)
When working within the psyche magically, it is important that your aim is resolute. The scope of the work is only limited by your understanding of your own psyche and your self awareness. This is why so many guides and articles about shadow work are mostly depictions of mediations.
To begin performing magical shadow work, one must first gain awareness of themself. This is best done through meditations and thought experiments. Start off by entering a calm state and rotate your focus inwards, without focusing on anything at all. Then, once a comfortable level of presence in the self is reached, begin cycling through memories starting with the oldest one you can manage. Pay attention to how you processed the information and experiences you were presented with. How did you compartmentalize those experiences and how did it impact your future behavior? Doing this repeatedly will slowly build an image of your shadow and persona to work with when you are ready to do an actual casting. When it comes to casting shadow work spells, there are a few options: bindings, reinforcements, glamours, cleansing, and warding.
Thoughtforms
Thoughtforms are entities that are created through artifice, though they can be created accidentally or unintentionally. Thoughtforms are sometimes confused with the Buddhist term, “Tulpa” which, by definition and application is barely even comparable. Thoughtforms are entities that are programmed to perform a specific function or a small set of functions. It is possible for one to create a sentient thoughtform, however the amount of experience, time, focus, and effort required is vastly greater. Building a simple thoughtform requires only an anchor of some kind as well as a dedicated space and time. If the thoughtform is to have a body or form, it is highly recommended to possess at least a basic understanding of energy work- specifically about creating energetic constructs.
To begin creating a thoughtform, it is best to start by sitting down and planning on paper its function(s), appearance, limitations, restrictions, a name, and an anchor sigil. Once you’ve thoroughly planned out the thoughtform, energetically create it’s form. This can be done through visualization, however using actual astral senses for the energetic process would be more effective. Once you have created its form, it must be maintained while you imprint its programming into it. A method I like to use for this step is to stream energy into my head through the right temple, while meditating on the thoughtform’s functions, then pulling it out of the left temple before installing it into the form. This may take up to a couple hours to complete and may require starting over if focus is broken. It is important that you have the anchor sigil dedicated to memory, so that the image of it can be implanted as well. It is recommended that the sigil only be physically created a singular time, that way it is easier to destroy the thought form later on. It may also be beneficial to anchor the energetic form of the entity into a physical object made of glass or metal.
If you ever decide to destroy your thoughtform, you must destroy the anchor sigil and then work towards forgetting its name as well as its entire existence. Thoughtforms are primarily fed by the creator’s attention and interaction to it, but this isnt always the case. If the thoughtform is anchored into a piezoelectric crystal, then that anchor can be placed under pressure to keep the thoughtform alive. If the thoughtform you wish to destroy is anchored energetically to an object, then the object must be put through a banishing before cleansing it completely.
Thoughtforms are useful for applications in warding, divination, and spiritwork. They can also be used to deliver information, spells and protections to others. All that is required is a specific functionality.
Subconsciously created thoughtforms (AKA Tulpa* in closed Buddhist and Taoist traditions.)
In instances of trauma or emotional hypertension, it is possible for the mind to create a thoughtform as a way to expel an emotion, experience, or memory from the mind. These thoughtforms typically are bound to whatever object the creator is latching onto for comfort. What differentiates these entities from intentionally created ones is that they don't have an initial form, rather they develop one as time passes. A lot of the time, these entities can manifest as emotional echoes (what most ghost encounters actually are) and will live on well past it’s progenitor.
When performing shadow work, it is important not to try to eject or remove aspects of the self, as doing so may generate a thoughtform; it also wouldn’t achieve an actual removal of that aspect. Thoughtforms created subconsciously or as a result of internal rejection of aspects of the self typically take on the traits and behaviors associated with the experience tied to that aspect. They also tend to have limitations that are also tied to these experiences. As an example, if a child were to be terrified of the dark, and consistently left alone in the dark, that child could create a thoughtform whose purpose is to instill fear. However its limitation would be tied to the child’s subconscious desire to be safe and would very likely not be able to do any harm to the child; and may even try to protect them in moments of strife. If this child were to have a stuffed animal, then this thoughtform would bind itself to this object, as it would be the closest thing to the child that regularly receives attention.
When dealing with banishing a subconsciously created thoughtform, the same steps must be taken; however, this can be extremely difficult, especially if the creator has been dead for a while, due to the anchor being unknown. If the anchor is unknown then a standard area banishing is recommended, followed by cleansing. Afterwards, if the entity is still present do not pay it any attention. Actively ignore it and never speak of it again. If after a few weeks it is still present, a spacial exorcism is definitely recommended.

Hi! How would rhabdomyolysis caused by overexercising be treated in a modern setting? Would it require a hospital stay or could it be treated at home? Also, is the chance of death high with this condition? Thank you xx
Rhabdomyolysis, like a lot of things, can vary in severity. However, by the point at which we are actually calling it rhabdomyolysis and treating it in any way, it's reasonably life threatening and needs treated in a medical facility.
Rhabdomyolysis is a condition in which there is so much damage to muscle tissue that it sheds pieces of muscle cells into the blood stream. This muscle damage can be due to extended immobilization, some snake and spider venoms, certain medication reactions, severe hyperthermia, severe trauma (particularly crush injuries), and occasionally severe overexercise. When enough muscle cell pieces get into the bloodstream, the kidneys (which normally filter toxins out of the blood and excrete them as urine) become clogged and stop working. This in turn causes the buildup of electrolytes and other toxic substances (some from the breakdown of the muscle tissue, some from normal metabolism) in the blood. Left too long, this can cause death (usually via cardiac arrest from the high amount of certain electrolytes like potassium) or permanent organ damage.
There are many different muscle cell components that are released when muscle is damaged. The two most important in rhabdo are a protein called myoglobin and various electrolytes. Myoglobin is typically used to hold and store oxygen in the muscle cells, like hemoglobin does to transport oxygen in the blood. Normally, protein in the blood (usually hemoglobin but occasionally myoglobin) gets bound to a protein called haptoglobin, which prevents it from exiting via the kidneys. Instead, it ferries it to the liver, which is more suited to disposing of it. In rhabdo, there is so much myoglobin that haptoglobin can’t trap all of it, and it ends up leaving via the kidneys.
The kidneys use narrow tubes to filter out and reabsorb water and electrolytes to keep the amount of electrolytes in the body in balance. When there is too much myoglobin, the tubes get clogged up and can’t do their job, which causes back pressure that damages the kidneys. At the same time, the muscle cells that are breaking down have some pretty toxic amounts of certain toxins and electrolytes. Add to that the kidneys not filtering anything out, and you start to slowly get poisoned by your own juices.
This situation has about a 5% mortality rate even with treatment in a hospital, and is not something you can typically survive at home.
The treatment in a hospital setting is usually extreme amounts of IV fluids, about 400-1000ml/hr. This is then titrated to maintain a urine output of about 200ml/hr, which is measured either via catheter or by having the patient pee into a container that measures it. This high amount of fluid dilutes the toxic levels of electrolytes (preventing electrolyte-related death such as from cardiac arrest or seizures) as well as helps the kidneys pass the clogging myoglobin and begin functioning normally again.
(dark urine from someone with rhabdomyolysis)
If this fluid does not cause the desired amount of urine output, medications that increase urine output, like mannitol and furosemide can be given to help the kidneys pass the clogging protein. A medication called sodium bicarbonate can be given as well to increase the pH of the urine, which can help prevent death of tissues in the kidney while its struggling to cope with all the toxins and extra protein.
How long this needs to be continued is determined by monitoring creatinine kinase levels in the blood. This lab test indicates the amount of muscle damage that is essentially still actively occurring, so you’d want to keep up the high amount of IV fluid until you were sure the kidneys weren’t just going to get clogged again as soon as you stopped.
Even with all the extra fluid, one electrolyte- potassium- may build up to dangerous levels. Potassium can cause cardiac arrest and death, so it (unlike most other electrolytes that will eventually sort themselves out) potassium needs to be addressed.
In order to decrease potassium, the patient is given IV glucose and insulin, which forces some of the potassium into cells. This buys some time until the person can either start some emergency dialysis or their kidneys start working normally again.
Depending on the severity of the muscle and kidney damage, the hospital stay could be anywhere from just over a day to more than a week.
Hope this helped!

Awesome thanks for answering my question! Follow up question! In the terms of the self-fragment integration, thru Buddhist 'non-self' practices, Is that what the non-self practice is for? Integrating self-fragmentation? Also are you aware of therapy modalities known as "parts work" like IFS?
If this next question is too personal feel free to skip it and take care of yourself. Thru the practice of the no-self/shadow work have you been able to validate ur trauma in order to also better understand and do sigil work and casting? All this is fascinating to me. Tho I've taken a step back from these practices due to having contact with a toxic person in the community, your offerings here draw me back in. So thank you for being you! And answering the questions so thoroughly to your comfort ✨
Thank you! -^^- Your question is great and so kind!
I don't think non-self is meant for integration as far as I know. My understanding is that it's one of the key understandings to become a stream enterer - someone truly on the path to enlightenment. I can't say that I've reached that point but it did help with integration.
A lot of non-self teachings and meditations have you focusing on the parts that thought-objects are broken down into. Like I am a person, but I have a body with limbs and organs. Those organs are made of tissues and cells. Those cells are made of atoms. But not the same atoms all the time. Not the same cells all the time. The tissues aren't always the same either. And so on. You try to have direct experiential understandings of how no part of what we call a self is constant - it's a delusion. The truth is non-self.
Non-self helped me with fragment integration because I got direct experiential awareness of the ways in which I did and did not carry trauma with me still. It was not constant. It was not still happening. Parts were stored but parts had be released too. So no part of it was constant. Which was helpful because I stopped identifying with it, partially because I stopped believing in a constant I at all.
I don't know if it validated my trauma at all but rather just got me really well acquainted with the component parts of trauma and the experiential truth of each. I understand it's impermanent nature much better and am more comfortable with where I'm at in the flux of it. Some people need radical acceptance before they can work on trauma in that way but it was the opposite for me, it lead me to radical acceptance. An understanding of Karma really helped me deal with the lingering guilt and fear. But that's probably a post for a different time.
I did try some work with IFS but wound up more fragmented not less. I'm really unsure why. I know some people have really benefited from it though and I think it has a lot of promise.
I can, without a fucking doubt, say that I saw a big improvement in my spellcasting after doing integration work. Much more powerful and immediate effects when I would cast. There were fewer unintended side effects - which honestly I think is the biggest benefit of integration since you don't have other parts of you with their own agenda. Another benefit was I just better knew my capacity so I'm more likely to rely on materia that better spell workers make and then combine it as I need it or to go to folk traditions I'm well grounded in.
I hope this mostly answers your question!

a dumb thots guide to moon signs
omg i have been gone for so long uhhhh just flaky gemini things. anyways hey girlies so today were gonna talk about your moon signs. the specifics of what each moon sign has in store, and about moon signs in general.
about moon signs:
while a sun sign can be an overall idea of your personality and overall self, a moon sign is what rules your inner-self and your emotions. It creates your needs and wants, and makes the base for your subconscious and your soul. your moon sign can also describe how you respond to crisis basically your moon sign explains why y'all are so fucked up.
your moon sign also can tell who you’re compatible with emotionally. although compatibility is a mix of other planets and other non-astrological factors, your moon sign is a huge component of the way you think and process things, which is generally a huge part of compatibility and intellectual attraction. oooh, big words.
also, like what i said in my previous post “a dumb thots guide to the planets” some people relate to their moon sign waaaay more than their sun sign, probably because there are less stereotypes and stigmas around moon signs. if you’re naturally a very emotional, intuitive, or dark person you might feel more attracted to your moon sign because your feelings and emotions are a large part of your thought-process.
so children, let's get into each moon sign and what they mean
aries moon: we stan most aries, so we also stan aries moons. these folks tell it how it is and aren’t afraid to speak their mind. aries moons are bold and enthusiastic with their life choices. they’re optimistic, even through tough times. they know what they want all the time, but y'all aries moons don’t know the difference between needs and wants because of your intensity in regards to passion and desire. they can be moody and temperamental if they don’t get what they want or life is going rough for them. In life, it's hard to create a balance because they go through plenty of ups and downs constantly. they might feel destructive towards other people or even towards themselves. aries moons are naturally dominant, so let's all embrace our little baby lunar christian greys.
taurus moon: okay so let's talk about our babies with taurus moons. the main traits of a moon sign in taurus is that they crave stability, reliability, and comfort. people with taurus moons tend to stay away from sketchy or messy situations because they’re not super adaptable to change. they take pride in their emotional stability and use it as their driving force (and they usually take charge anyway.) those with moons in taurus can be stubborn and selfish at times, and can get stuck in routines although that's not the end of the world for them. if you have a sun or moon (or just have a lot of taurus in your chart) you can suffer from taurus-style depression at times, which makes the person very lazy, tired, and tend to overeat or do a lotttt of retail therapy. but on the brighter side, if you’re in a relationship with them, they are more committed, helllllaaa sensual (get itttt), loyal, and you won’t expect a break up for a longggg time
gemini moon: (geminis, i love you and i support you) those with moons in gemini are charming and witty, just like the gemini sun signs. they are social butterflies and like to organize or make plans frequently otherwise they’ll get fussy. they're great communicators and get along with a lot of people, but since gemini moons are such people pleasers, they might get too involved with the opinions and emotions of other people and tend to ignore their own feelings or purpose. deep shit. restlessness is common in lunar geminis because they always need to be stimulated with something (talking, reading, watching tv, etc.) also nervousness and moodiness can be a problem in these people, leading to frustration and being snappy. but overall, we love you geminis.
cancer moon: cancer moons are little babies, in a good way. they’re extremely sensitive, intuitive, and they feel so damn much. our cancer moon girlies make incredible friends and parents, however be a bit cautious around them. since they feel so much, they can be defensive, moody, or more upset than normal when they’re hurt or unhappy. if you hurt cancer moons, good luck bud. they tend to close off or shut down when hurt, and take a while to heal. along with this, they hold grudges for a long time, and tend to keep their guard up if they somehow forgive you. just don't be playin with their feelings… don't do it. To heal and regroup, cancer moons like to stick with what they know and what they’re comfortable with, and many can be homebodied. these people have a lively imagination and are extremely intuitive, leading to possible psychic abilities or intentions. these people also tend to be natural empaths, which can lead to feeling emotionally bogged down from other people depending on you, but being an empath is a good thing because it shows your loyalty and compassion. love u.
leo moon: leo moons are our fun friends that have been by our side for years. these girlies are self confident, creative, and has an inspiring and extroverted energy. leo moons know their se;f worth, and won’t put up with anything less. they can be dominant at times, but their motivation for this dominance is generally respect. their feelings are intense and they don’t mess around when it comes to their ambitions and desires. a downside of leo moons though, is that they are super extra. some can see you as over the top or loud, and at times this can make you feel misunderstood. you may seem to be an attention whore sometimes, but through your passion and loyalty those close to you know that your intentions are good. keep bein your extra ass selves, leo moons. we love you.
virgo moon: those with virgo moons can be a little tricky to understand, but there are definitely some pros, you guys aren't all fucked up. lunar virgos really stan their routine, which make them naturally self-disciplined so they don't fall out of that routine. they tend to like exercising, self care, and love to develop new hobbies. they also love to help others, and you'll find that lunar virgos are wholesome, loyal, and sensitive in the best way possible. their routine is a need for them, and if they don’t have it they can get high-strung and aggravated. they can also get finicky and specific about how things go in their lives, which isn’t always a bad thing. if lunar virgos suffer from trauma or rough-patches, they might try to bottle their emotions up which will manifest later on in life. similar to lunar scorpios, virgo moons might experience issues with digestion due to their emotional stresses. some have described that those with virgo moons might have eating disorders due to nervous system or psychological factors. these people might also have controlling fears or issues, so as i said these people can be a little fucked up but their gigantic hearts and self determination make up for it and help them get through it. (and aren't we all a little fucked up out here?)
libra moon: lunar libras (ugh doesn't that sound so pretty?) are just beautiful little babies. they have a natural artsy and peaceful personality that draws you into them. they’re amazing at communicating and socializing, and one of their main goals seem to be pleasing people in all aspects. libra moons are amazing partners, and they often search for a partner due to the fact that they strongly dislike being without a significant other. it makes them feel out of balance and lonely at times. they seem to steady themselves based on the way others depend on them and their relationships, but this can lead to distress if tensions exist within an important relationship in their lives. the dark side of lunar libras isn’t as scary as others think, but can become an issue if taken out of hand. they might become dependent on others and their significant other which can, in turn, hurt them in the long run from a loneliness or longing after a break in the path. ooh, poetic.
scorpio moon: scorpio moons dont fuck around. (i have a scorpio moon, so be scared bitch.) to be frank, scorpio moons are intense and emotional. they have a higher understanding of the human thought process and can be deeply connected to emotions and vibes. these people are affected not only by their own emotions, but from others emotions as well. they pick up on certain situations because of the energy radiating off of it, making them helllllaaaa intuitive. lunar scorpios are INTENSE when it comes to love, and might be afraid of committing if they’ve been hurt in the past. they have a strong emotional need for drama or frequent change, and if they dont express their feleings they could even get physically sick (ive personally experienced a lot of stomach issues and nausea.) scorpio moons are defensive when it comes to love (even if they crave it) because they have a fear of betrayal or being hurt. through all of these intense shit though, they’re ambitious, sensual (!!!), creative, and committed. we been knew.
sagittarius moon: sagittarius moons are our party people. they’re fun, sociable, and extroverted. they love meeting new people and doing new things, it makes them thrive. they like to go through life with an easygoing nature, and generally aren't super negative. sometimes they’re even overly optimistic, and get their hopes up way too much which in the end will crush them if something goes poorly. when life isn't in their favor or things don't go their way, they get tf out of the situation or try to physically escape. they want to feel balanced at all times. to other people (especially more home-bodied signs) see sag moons as intimidating or annoying, but sag moons are very easy to get along with and will get along with almost anybody. basically, lunar sags are that one friend that you can never stay mad at, and want to hang out with all the time. we really do stan.
capricorn moon: our capricorn moon are our little home bodied babies. we love you. the underlying theme of most lunar capricorns is that they’re steady and reliable, and like to keep themselves that way. they like to surround their lifestyle around goal-setting, and have soooo freakin much ambition and determination. at some points, capricorn moons might start getting a little too obsessed with their goals, like girlies please calm down every once in a while. they want to better themselves all the time, and that can lead to isolation or feelings of loneliness. lunar capricorns have emotions that are a bit more logical and darker than some, and that makes them a bit more emotionally closed off because they don't want to kill the vibe or share what's on their mind if its not important. they seem cold to others because they like to make themselves seem put together allllll the time. like seriously. overall, all these kittygirls want is to be in control and to have structure, and we’ll let you have it, since you mainly aren’t that problematic.
aquarius moon: so our little aquarius moons are kinda weird in nature, but SO bright and independent, which a lot of us admire. lunar aquarians care a lot about what others think, so they try to bury any negative emotions (like pettiness or jealousy) so they don't seem unattractive. because of this, they might seem closed off, but most times you’ll receive more of an emotional connection once you get to know them. they are very receptive to others emotions and frequencies, and ponder the meaning of life and the universe as they feed on deeper and darker emotions. often times, they emotionally detach themselves from others and tend to feel lonely. they’re natural loners, but on the bright side they don't let their loneliness get in the way of their overarching purpose (for the most part.) the odd thing is, they take in so much energy and emotion from other, and some may call that an empath, but to others they might seem like they lack compassion because they emotionally shut off. we love them anyways though, because lunar aquarians are amazing friends and give people lots of independence and space to be themselves, and they expect the same.
pisces moon: our lunar pisceans (google told me that term) are dreamy and imaginative girlies. they’re SO empathetic and love to connect with others, and that makes many people confide and take comfort in them. they might become so involved in others (they especially root for the underdog and those less fortunate) that they lose track of themselves. if people take advantage of pisces moons’ empathy, the pisces moon will learn quickly and bounce back. their huge and accepting heart makes them amazing partners and friends because they’ll cherish you. (and y'all BETTER cherish them too i swear to god.) the downside to lunar pisceans though, is that they involve themselves in others so much that they become overloaded with emotion that they might feel numb or become spaced out. a supppperrr common thing in a pisces moon is zoning out to give their brain a break. pisces moons need time to recharge and step back to breathe. hey, we get it. life can be stressful af sometimes, especially for someone who feels everything.
the next dumb thots guide will be a dumb thots guide to the elements of astrology. (hopefully it wont take five billion years) bettttttt

Why meditation is excellent!
The side effects of meditation are positive and countless. Studies have demonstrated that those who meditate on a regular basis have reduced illness, stress, and need for rest. But one of the most compelling reasons to meditate is that the process of meditation itself is sublime. Meditation is not dependent upon the result, but the act of meditation itself is a blissful one, transporting one to a state of contentment and tranquil awareness during the training of meditation itself, not just at the end of training. Actually, because the means equals the end, the training has no beginning and never ends. All of us in modern times experience a constant onslaught of stress. We are bombarded by uninvited energies in the form of such things as television, noise pollution, arguments, and angry or envious people. In order to counteract this enormously overwhelming force of negativity and distress, we need a superior power, gathered within ourselves; and meditation connects us to this internal reservoir of cleansing, enlightening energy. In former times, nature surrounded people in their daily routines and rituals of existence. There were no artificial sound vibrations from telephones or machinery; there were no stresses and diseases resulting from urban industrial complexities. There was the sound of water, the hum of the wind, the beauty of the stars in the sky, and the scent of the earth. There were natural tempos in every aspect of life, as people planted seeds, nurtured them into foodstuffs, and as they observed the cycles of nature they felt a connection to them. Nowadays we can live our entire lifespan without ever contacting nature in a direct way. We live in artificially controlled climates, we gather food from fast food restaurants or from stores where it is packaged in a factory; we invite a total divorce of ourselves from our natural origins and our organic, original pace of life. Meditation allows us an easy, convenient, portable method to enter into those lost natural rhythms and aesthetics, by closing out the world around us, letting go of our bodies, and clearing the mind of all the artificial stress it gathers knowingly or unknowingly during the course of lives. Meditation costs nothing, it has no harmful side affects, and it won’t add calories or cholesterol to your body. Nor is it addictive in the sense of drugs and alcohol. But it does provide practitioners with an elevated sense of well-being, often compared to a natural “high” more powerful than those induced by drugs, and this component of meditation is one that can be fully embraced for positive, healthy benefits. The human body is a complex creation, and in the brain the body naturally produces drugs that are hundreds of times more powerful than pharmaceutical narcotics. As one meditates, the body secretes mysterious hormones and chemicals that actually provide an incredible rush of energy and happiness, and this is only one of the amazing side effects of meditation practice. Meditation is different things to different people. Some use it in place of, or in addition to, psychotherapy. Others find it most valuable as a tool to enhance sports or work performance, and to increase the memory and other mental functions. Some people rely upon it to help them deal with grief or the aftermath of trauma or tragedy, and to regain a contentment and appreciation for life’s beauties. And there are those who use meditation as a creative tool to inspire them in the arts. Meditation gives us stronger and more sustainable vigor, sexual energy, and calm, as it provides a restfulness that is comparable to deep, exceptionally restful sleep. There are countless reasons to meditate, and one way to make the world a better and more peaceful and harmonious place, is for all of us to dedicate some time out of our stressful lives to pause and drink from the mental oasis of meditation practice.

these things get long and are by definition one spoiler after another, so live blog under the cut
pre episode nonsense:
My hopes for this episode are mostly just the obvious: For Zolf to pull out of his spiral; for Azu to talk to someone about how she's doing; for Hamid to find his footing with the Kobolds (loving that they are devoting a proper arc to using unearned privilege/power rather than pretending it doesn't exist); more Cel lore; a Wug; and for someone to shake answers out of the Brorb. Not sure Alex is going to let us get to know the kids individually which makes sense as juggling 7 new NPCs would seriously cut into everyone else's screen time. I think we will get more of Skraak & Hamid working through their issues, and Skraak's helping the kids through recovery. If we are very lucky maybe Zolf & Skraak will talk rather than just have Zolf resent the Kobolds for putting Hamid in a place to fall into old habits. Okay lets hit play!
Episode live blogging:
Intros are quick: Zolf sounds low, Ben sounds higher energy than he was.
Oh the Brorb drawings come better when the other half is distracted but not thinking about the real topic.
Krakens are through out the globe, unknown numbers, not true instances of Shoin, network is down.
Cel and I both react to having Shoin be the one to come closest to a truly non physical form.*
Krakens are cloned brains in robot bodies. Specifically said Daleks not Jurassic Park.
Shoin thinks he sent a ransom note using the Kraken as a threat against the world.
Does not handle it well when Zolf hones in on that no one knows who he is, much less trembles at his name.**
Hamid follows Zolf's lead and twists it towards boasting about beating the Infection. The talking half doesn't seem to know how he did it as clearly as the drawing bit. Unfortunately its strictly surgical which would be hard to reproduce at scale even before you consider the side effects.
Quick huddle with the rest of the team:
Cel always wanted to go to London?
Zolf wants to ask more about how the infection works so they could prevent infection. Wilde thinks he is suggesting using Shoin's solution, I get Alex has to catch people up but I don't like Wilde being a paragraph behind me or underestimating Zolf.
Bryn wants to review the diary. Alex confirms the diary says he had a possible way to "end it" as a whole.
They go back and Cel feigns being extremely impressed that Shoin might have a way to stop the infection. I think having time to regroup cut him off from his memory of the infection again. Alex spells out Shoin loses coherence whenever they bring up the infection/the time period around when he was infected.
Heal check time. Zolf crit fails. Azu got a 29 and can see where his theory was better than his surgery. It may be an aphasia (issues to with communication. can't get to certain words, some can't be spoken even if he understands the concept; others he can't understand if he hears them even if he uses the word/concept himself. Brain trauma, memory problems more severe the more recent you get, sounds like unable to store short term memory properly so anything longer ago than a week but after surgery likely lost.)
Cel switches to the simulacrum. He verbally dismisses it as a waste of time. His hand keeps drawing based on the previous question re:stopping the infection.
Alex calls for a sense motive. Zolf & Azu see the latest drawing is a landscape using technical notation. Its a barren mine. Yes! it's the entrance to Svalbard. Cel can see its a circuit. Alex makes us/Lydia wait until after he's done with the simulacrum stuff.
Shoin thinks using humans as your base design to improve from is the wrong approach, gives some credit to Francois Henri for taking a different approach.
The circuit maybe to transmit something, it needs an organic component. Cel couldn't roll much better then that so they probably need to kick it towards the Harlequins to set a team on.
Shoin is moaning about paying the bills. Took on the contract to provide Simulacrum fluidics to Damascus for the money.
Drawings change shape get less technical and focus on the cavern entrance. Ben catches it sounds yonic, Alex was trying to not go there but did he really think you could go from cave imagery to seed imagry without stopping there?
Hamid tries to get more on how he caught the infection.
Bryn and Alex spell out that to get answers you ask a real question he won't answer verbally but will answer with his hand, with a decoy to keep the talking him distracted while the hand answers.
Decoy question is about Harrison Campell.
Concept drawing of a person, overwhelmed by an image of a huge figure with lines going from the small to the large? Is he suggesting they plant someone they prepare to be infected, and have them infect it back?
Proofs? Minor changes between the proofs and published version of early Campbell books.
Another review session upstairs. Hamid's red string wall got cited as being useful! Cult of Hades/Wellington may have been the one to hire Shoin to make parts for Damascus. Zolf and Hamid talk briefly, about work and as dry "stick to the subject" as possible but they are talking productively.
Oh Ben finally gets in that the interrogation is hard on Zolf's knees because he has to keep his legs out of the cell. He snaps a little at Cel when they comment on cell vs Cel. Carter suggests "naughty box" which nicely derails that point of tension. Cel refers to Shoin as being more pleasant to talk to than Carter. Not sure if that undermines the tiny Cel/Carter ship or fuels it with tension.
Cel asks who hired Shoin to make Sim parts. He can answer directly. Well directly for him, it seems to be mostly justifying stealing Tesla's work on the basis that Tesla wasn't going to implement his theory. Hamid snipes him with a shot praising Edison to get him back on topic. Shoin says Edison was being backed by a big investor. Is it to much to hope this is Alex finally consolidating the factions? If Hades is Edison's investor (leaving Edison & co as effectively their minions, rather than a faction of their own) and the factory owners we can cut down on sides considerably.
He goes on about how he spied on Henri, religion as money maker. Shoin was directly approached by Hades lot. Shoin made sure his bits won't work since he didn't want competition. Wellington was his contact with Hades. Wellington always had a pair of cloaked figures. Vinegar + squizard = funny? Could be useful.
Do not follow what is going on with the hand.
Shoin is still unstuck in time and thinks he is going to connect them. Cel unplugs the speaker on his villain speech. Cel induces a dream state by powering him down
~break~
Cel suggests painlessly killing him. Zolf seconds the idea because its immoral to keep him like that. Hamid points out the longer the keep him around the more likely it is for someone to be infected. Wilde rules they should kill and seal it off.
Cel & Zolf have an argument about having the Kobolds handle the remains. Cel calls Zolf out on his inconstant stance on whether the Kobolds can be infected because if he doesn't believe that then he is risking them.
Wilde is moving on? Cel suggests letting the Brorb die, putting it in a bag of holding, keeping the bag in the anti magic field.
They can't just call Einstein because using unofficial channels is bad when irregular behavior is a sign of infection(?)
Alex's unhealthy attitudes about productivity are called out when he refers to the time Wilde spends thinking/planning before getting their transport arranged as "working" (with the inverted commas) rather than considering it part of the work.
They work out possible paths if teleporting is off the table.
And the boys are snapping at each other again. Zolf, you can't flip out every time you are reminded that Hamid doesn't have the experience or expertise of a seasoned sailor. Yeah you did leave the team without your skills and maybe the kid was a bit green for a field promotion; but you know what? He did a fine job, and the other choices were Sasha, who wouldn't lead, and Bertie, who shouldn't. Just because stepping down was the right thing to do, doesn't mean you get to lose it when you are confronted with the mere allusion to the idea it had consequences.
Barnes tells Hamid why going over the pole is a really bad idea. That Azu's suggestion is carrying Hamid has troubling symbolism.
Zolf actually comes more or less to Hamid's defense by pointing out that all their options are bad options, so having a go at Hamid's idea in particular is unwarranted.
I'm not going to bother listing out options. They will pick one or won't need to pick one. If we have been a very good fandom Alex may reward us with Earhart coming back as their preferred transport.
There we go, Hamid suggests her, Zolf seizes on the idea compliments Hamid on it, and immediately takes it to Wilde. Thank God he isn't so far down he can't do that. If he isn't compulsively shooting down any hope (especially from Hamid) then he really is on the upswing from the low brought on by quarantine stress.
Lydia isn't happy that there isn't going to be an American chapter. Then again we wrote off Svalbard, so don't give up!
Its the Northwest Passage and its so weird realizing that not everyone has it as a cultural reference. Wonder if it's an Oregon thing or a US thing.
Yes it would have been cool, but I think Alex is not going to let us have cool new story arcs when we haven't played with the ones we have at home.
Einstein and Earhart are our two best transport options. I am a happy fan. Especially if Zolf has to use his family and Earhart’s reaching out to him near the end of the journey to appeal to her. I mean we did get more on Zolf's relationship with his family than I expected after Paris, so I'm not going to sulk if they don't pursue this, but it would be nice.
Conflicted as a fan, its hard to remember that this taking months extra is a bad thing when the end of the series is feeling too close for comfort.
Zolf, look at you leveraging your experience with moving even when things feel hopeless!
Cel I love you, kraken as submarine is brilliant. Air kraken is suggested by Carter.
Hamid plays with the ideas while Alex goes "why?". Because you are going to have to work a hell of a lot harder than that if you want Hamid to see it as a no win situation rather than proof he needs to redouble on cheerful creativity. Feeling like he had no options led to the worst parts of Hamid's life, the things he is truly ashamed of; having few losses outside of those, he is going to make Kirk's Kobayashi Maru hang ups look amateur.
Zolf is heading to the beach.
Cel is checking on their village.
Hamid wants to contact Einstein himself, Zolf says he should talk to Wilde about that. Hamid wants Zolf with him for that meeting. Zolf either doesn't want to be a safety blanket, wants Hamid to get used to dealing with Wilde directly, or completely missed Hamid offering a chance to work together because he is incapable of seeing Wilde as an opponent. He does say some nice things about being a team.
Hamid tells Cel to say hi to Jasper for them. He is good at the people side of leadership. Remembering names and relationships, knowing how to show he cares because it's important to Cel without overstepping. If Zolf can learn to let go of the rank stuff, they could be an unbeatable team of co leaders.
Zolf nods at Azu. Azu smiles proudly back. Alex jokes about not liking giving them time to heal because they coordinate.
Hamid offers hugs to both Cel and Zolf. Because this entire character is a "fuck you" to toxic masculinity and he is not afraid to openly show affection to his friends.
Cel gives him a great hug.
Zolf hesitates but gives him a pat on the shoulder. Hamid's has high enough charisma to make that not awkward. Good kid, accepting that Zolf is reaching out as far as he can.
Hamid talks to Skraak. Hamid is worried about taking the kids. Maybe Skraak can convince them to stay & help Jasper with science. Because RQG loves us and wants us to be happy, they are considering a fantasy some of us harbored since "science" as a serious possibility. Could solve the issue with Alex not wanting the kids to take up too much screen time too. Skraak is the perfect character for Hamid to have as his second. He believes in Hamid, and can be confided in, but isn't going to take an ounce of self pity or bullshit.
Alex that village better be okay. Smoke? Controlled burn. Ben lightens the mood. The tank is still guarding the village. The barricade is up but they are guarding about as well as a village of level 0(1?) characters can be expected to.
They are having a party and there is a bon fire. Because Alex knows we wouldn't have trusted him if there wasn't a little scare with the smoke. !puns
The village is visibly healing since the weather is fixed. They thank Cel but know better than to ask.
Jasper! Jasper is looking good. He stepped in as a leader of the village. Cel and I could burst with pride. Jasper thinks Cel is coming to stay, Cel tries to explain they are going to help save the other villages around the world and mentions that Jasper would like the Kobolds.
!puns
* One day I need to hunt down the right corner of SF because there has got to be a decent amount of trans humanist fiction for trans humans out there somewhere.
**Not sure if I should feel bad for hoping this gives him a safe target for his destructive tendencies. Ideally Zolf would get past that point without indulging his dark side lest he reinforce bad coping mechanisms. Ideally Zolf would have weekly therapy without the fate of the world on his shoulders too. Its the more personal version of looking forward to a fight after Hamid's been stressed because he seems to find cooking baddies cathartic.

Deliberate Head State
Today, I am going to provide a guided meditation for entering an intensely focused Head state, for anyone to try who so desires. If you don't want to try it, that is totally fine, and you may read it casually or just skip this post.
In the previous post, I gave you a way to bring yourself out of a Head state. That is useful for when you are consumed with thoughts or feelings, and unable to focus on your moment. But now I am going to provide you with the opposite: a constructive way to enter a Mind state of intense focus, leaving behind the world around you for the inner world. If you're going to try it, please find a comfortable place where you can spend about 20-30 minutes uninterrupted.
Take a minute or two to ground yourself. If you feel the need, consult one of my guided meditation suggestions, depending on if you're feeling more Conscious or Head state. When you are good and grounded, we can begin.
Narrow your field of view, narrow the range of things there to see, narrow the range of thoughts you are trying to explore. Draw your attention away from the room behind you and to your sides. Draw your attention away from errant or intrusive thoughts. Select an object immediately in front of you, other than the screen you are reading this on. I am about to give you some instructions, which you are to follow when I give you leave. Focus your eyes and your thoughts on that selected object. On its outer attributes, on what it is made of, on its behavior or its stationary presence, on its position in the room, on the reason it is there. Let the object's every attribute consume your thoughts. Any emotion you feel, direct it at that object. Feel it about that object, and nothing else. If the object is making noise, focus your ears on every component and clue about that noise. If the object has a noticeable smell, focus your nose on analyzing and appreciating that smell.
Begin now. When you feel you are ready to proceed, continue reading.
I am about to give you some instructions, which you are to follow when I give you leave. Resume your intense focus on that object. This time, visualize your hands reaching out to grab that object, but do not move your physical hands. Do this slowly and deliberately, so as to make the sensation all the more real and tangible. When your visualized hands touch the object, picture them taking the object and holding it, feeling its every contour, its temperature. In your mind, imagine the brightness and the color drifting out and away from the object, passing into your hands, up your arms, into your chest. Imagine the sound the object is making (if any) becoming quieter, as the volume is drawn into your hands. Imagine the smell of the object (if any) becoming fainter, as the potency is drawn into your hands. Imagine every attribute that you feel of it, melting and washing away, sinking into your hands. When the whole of this object is held in your heart, release your hand-hold, and visualize that absorbed object being drawn up your spine, up your neck, into your brain. Hold it there.
Begin now. When you feel you are ready to proceed, continue reading.
I am about to give you some instructions, which you are to follow when I give you leave. With that object held firmly in your brain, follow it inside. Use what you have learned from my past meditations to enter your body, leaving behind your outer layers like they are distant structures. Move up into your mind, but do not ground. This is very important. Once there, picture the object is on a surface. If that surface is the floor or ground, describe that floor or the ground. If that surface is furniture or other scenery, describe that first, then the ground on which it sits. Follow the ground out away from the object until you find walls, or see a distant horizon. You have now visited the first glimpse of your Mindscape. Keep the object and its surroundings close at mind.
Begin now. When you feel you are ready to proceed, continue reading.
Search your Mindscape for a pencil, pen, or other such instrument, and write "Anchor" near this object you have focused so intently upon. This object will help you return to a state of intense focus, should you become distracted or need assistance next time. Put the writing tool back where you found it. Now, search near that tool for more drawers, cabinets, boxes, or other forms of storage. It may even be entire rooms. When you have done so, find the container that fleeting, surface thoughts go in and out of. Carefully select one thought that has been on your mind recently, and contemplate it. Get a good sense of it, but do not let your mind wander. Put that thought in the container, and assure yourself that it will remain there, easily accessible for when you need it. Now, select another topic recently on your mind, and contemplate and store that one. You may do this in the future, whenever you need to organize your thoughts. When you have a firm command of this, you may eventually be able to pull thoughts out of that container on command, examine them, and put them back with ease. Before we leave, identify the containers for your recent memories, childhood memories, your dark secrets, your traumas, and any other categories you find important. We don't need to work with those today, but it is good to know where in your Mindscape they are.
Continue to examine your Mindscape as you wish, but be cautious not to over-explore or over-tamper with anything. When you are ready, continue reading.
Find the door that you will use to manually leave your Mindscape. Before you open it, place a hand firmly on the surface, and concentrate. Will a message to appear on the door, containing my guided meditation for grounding out of Head state (or at least the abridged notes on it; it's a long post). Now you will have a good procedure for what to do when you're done focusing this intently. Every time you are finished here, leave through that door, close and lock it securely, and go through the grounding procedure.
Take a minute to appreciate your use of intense psychic focus, and the work you have done in your Mindscape. Remember your Anchor, so that you can use it later.
Be at Peace.
