“No, that’s not it, try again.” Rubble impatiently grinds the tip of their pede into the floor of the mine. “Little less emphasis on the end of the word Iacon, alright? And you’re adding some kind of ‘Z’ in there somewhere. Repeat after me: ‘I am attending school in Iacon’.”

“I am attending school in Iacon,” Boulder parrots very, very slowly, and Rubble’s face breaks out into a grin.

“Hell yeah, you are!” they say, patting Boulder’s helm affectionately. “Just make sure you keep practicing your Common pronunciation. It’s gonna make everything a lot easier for you, I promise.”

“I know,” Boulder sighs. "But it's Iacon. My accent shouldn't stand out too much, right?"

"I think there are, at most, six Tarnish mechs in Iacon," Rubble says flatly. "Including you."

"But-"

"But most mechs in Iacon can afford Universal Translators," Rubble points out, dropping down onto the floor and crossing their legs, across from Boulder. "And that clears up the accent."

Boulder frowns. "You talk about the accent like it's a disease."

"Might as well be." Rubble leans back on their hands. "Iacon. That's crazy."

"Primus, I can't believe it either," Boulder says, sighing dreamily. "I'll never step pede in a mine again- oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that-"

"It's fine." Rubble gives them a sad smile. "I really hope you never do, Boulder." They flop back against the floor. "With test scores like yours, you shouldn't be anywhere underground ever again."

Boulder wrings their hands together. "I get it, but..." They worry their bottom lip between their teeth. "But what about you? The others? I could come back and visit! I mean, I can't just leave you here-"

"Oh, shit, that's the supervisor!" Rubble grabs their drill and hoists Boulder up by the handles, dragging them further into the mine and away from pounding footsteps.

"But seriously." Rubble pushes Boulder into a crevice, away from prying optics. "I'm being 1000% serious. Never, ever, come back here." Their grin is bright, but not quite genuine, showing a few too many blunt teeth. "Or I'll drag you out of here myself."

Boulder can only nod. Rubble pushes reassurance into their field, pressing against Boulder's despair. "You deserve so much more than here. Besides, if they see you back...," Rubble leans away, "they might not let you leave again."

Rubble's grin becomes genuine once more. "I'll be fine, Boulder. We all will." They tap Boulder's chassis, just above their spark. "I'll be in here."

"Okay," Boulder says, resigning to follow them further into the mine. "I hate to think that pretty soon there will be a last time I'll see you," they add, unable to keep the shake out of their voice.

"I think it's for the best, actually," Rubble says, taking them deeper. "To know when the last time will be. That way it can be special. Y'know, make it count."

"But I-"

"Boulder, please." Rubble drops their drill and grabs Boulder's hands. "Just... please. Think about yourself for once. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, don't waste it dwelling on us, okay?"

Boulder manages a nod, fighting back the prickling cold burn of coolant under their optics.

Rubble gives them another sad smile. "Just promise me one thing."

"...Yeah?"

"Don't forget me."

Hey, I'm back :D

Some of you may remember my first post about possessing any character of your choice from Transformers Rescue Bots for 24 hours, and I've certainly enjoyed all your replies, but now it's time for me to double down...

You get stuck in Cody Burns' body for 24 hours. What do you do, and who would be the first person to notice something is off depending on how you behave?

Ok so I haven’t finished the season 2 episodes yet but so far I think it’s been less good than season one but I don’t dislike it. I think, so far, it’s been good. Season 1 was really good and I think a lot of people built up expectations for season 2 and when people have really high expectations the end result tends to disappoint people regardless of its actual quality. Because the potential of where the story could go wasn’t really divisive and as long as that story is unfinished people can take that potential and run in whatever direction they’d like to. The decepticons potentially being not pure evil made people, myself included, interested. It presented an idea and people got attached to that idea and built up a lot of expectations for it. Specifically with Starscream because a most TF media tends to gloss over or oversimplify his morals and relationship to Megatron and the world around him. Armada is the main exception I can think of outside of like IDW, but generally the shows present the relationship between Starscream and Megatron as highly questionable to outright abusive without any other commentary on it and no one really giving a shit. Which could be intentional and helping to characterize the decepticons as a group that doesn’t care about its members because everyone ultimately either wants power or to not die, but I honestly don’t think a lot of the writers were thinking about that. Cyberverse COULD have been intentionally ignoring all of the death (which there is a LOT of) to show how Cybertronian society has decayed and made war and death and suffering so common that no one really stops to grieve. But it also could have been a kids show that had 11 minute episodes and was taking on topics that it was not ready or able to properly address. Same for TFA and TFP (and rescue bots, as much as I hate to admit that). I like these shows and I like to believe my own reading of it, but I do not believe that this was at all the intention of the shows writers.

The author is dead and I killed them, but it was really cool to have a TF show that actually seemed to be diving into the repercussions of Cybertronian society and specifically the consequences of Megatron’s actions on the people around him. And for those consequences to hold weight and be taken seriously, not brushed off because the characters affected by him were also villains. And that’s part of why I think people are disappointed by season 2 so far. Because it seems that all the potential was just waisted. The time skip caused us to miss out on a really ingesting idea, it would have been really cool to see the decepticons go from siding with the heros to being against them. Starscream’s entire thing is betrayal and we skipped over a major betrayal???

And my commentary is very starscream heavy because a lot of what people liked was centered around him. After Megatron he’s probably the most complicated character, especially morally speaking. We haven’t gotten the entirety of season 2 yet. I think this might only be 1/3rd of it. So I don’t want to make a big statement like ‘earthspark is ruined! The show sucks now!’ because I don’t think that’s true at all. I wish a few things were done differently, but I want to see this story completed and I want to see what story they are trying to tell. I don’t think a story being incomplete negates it of criticism (*cough*tfa*cough*) but I think it’s not fully fair to make a final judgement on an incomplete product, especially if it is still being made. Season one of earthspark was some of the best storytelling trasnformers has done imo, but it is not the completed show.

TL;DR: Season two is alright, it’s also not done being released yet and I want to wait until it’s completed to make a final judgement. Oh and also bumblebee is here

Because of the heigh difference, I feel the need to specify that in my continuity they are the same age, but since I am taking a lot of inspiration from G1 Bee is way shorter. I still don’t know show short Bee is going to be, Nor how tall Blades will be, just keep in mind that this was done in 20 mins and I will probably be changing heights intill I find one that fits.

I find it funny that the only things I’ve posted from my continuity are just beeblades stuff when that is like just 5% of everything we’ve done.

My computer is not being that much of a pain lately, so hope I get to draw in there more often.
