How are you? I had a really bad ex where he cheated on me with basically everyone (my cousin, ex gf/bestie, someone from law class, and several other randoms). He cheated on me and ended up with his bestie that's also his ex gf even though he said there wasn't anything to worry about, in fact he didn't even break up with me 🙈 he went on holiday with her for his birthday and put up romantic pics. His bestie/ex gf even tagged me in their relationship announcement. I found out that they got married because his now wife came to the law firm that I'm serving articles with to shout out at me to 'Stay away from her husband ' 😂 I don't need to tell you that I got fired because of this 😭. I feel like with the amount of cheating, gaslighting and my ass getting fired, I just feel emotionally exhausted and I don't where to go from here... I feel like I lost my confidence. Sorry for the rant and I would love some advice ❤️

Girl. First of all, lemme give you a virtual hug, a stiff drink, and a standing ovation for surviving that dumpster fire of a relationship. Your ex sounds like a walking, talking red flag convention. I love that Hollow design (I believe it’s hollow, judging by tags)! While they seem like they might have an uncanny valley feel to their citizens, I feel like they accidentally redefine beauty standards, and start wearing the most ridiculous clothing to avoid this, only for the fashion styles to change to that as well. If they’d wear a trashbag, the nobility will do the same.

[Another old ask I've drafted that I can't edit so I'll reply to it that way.]

i love when they use the "she slept with other men, she doesn't love him" card, the underlying slut-shaming behind it is at its finest here 😍 

But seriously, it shows the lack of comprehension they have for her character. She doesn't do it because she wants to, she does it because she sees it as the only way to gain power or protect herself and her family. Lancel? Used him to kill Trashbag Robert before he learned the truth about her and Jaime. The Kettlebacks? I don't remember quite why, but it's for the same reasons said above, to have some power thus protecting herself and her family. And those scenes are borderline rape.

And we have also Euron in the show (pretty sure he will have a role in the books too), she does it because she has no other choice to keep him as an ally, and she was COERCED into having sex with him. —I could honestly write a big post about how she starts to realize after S7 how power doesn't give her what she wants but whatever...— Anyway, Cersei uses her sexuality as a weapon, she said it herself. That's what she has been taught as a woman in the patriarcal society that is Westeros: men fight with swords, women fight with their good looks. Yet, this is not something that she truly enjoys, "It's only good with Jaime." from the books. Cersei doesn't equate sexuality with romantic love.

Now for proof that she loves Jaime, I'm not a books specialist so I'm not the best person to reply to that question (and I don't have quotes in mind right now so RIP), but when she dreams of her husband, she dreams of Jaime. When she is held captive by the High Sparrow, who does she ask for help? Jaime. He is her knight in shining armor. He is also the father of her children. She actively chose to bear his children, despite the risk for their lives. Also, she mentions how her twin is the only one to whom she shows her weaknesses.

As for the show, oh lord, her protectiveness and concerns about him shine more than in the books imo. When he is held captive by the Starks, she tells Joffrey, voice full of worry, "His life is in danger." (2x01). She asks Tywin if they are doing everything they can to get him back (S3, I'm not sure which episode). And then we have the famous scene in 6x06, where Jaime threatens to kill the High Sparrow, and Cersei replies, "But if you kill the High Sparrow, you won't leave the sept alive. And without you, this is all for nothing." She is actively trying to protect him here. (And I'd argue she was trying to protect him by using Lancel to kill Robert and also by not telling her plans with the Golden Company.) We have also their reunion in 8x05, the world is crumbling around them, Cersei has lost everything yet, she only cares about the fact he is hurt. Seeing him hurt and bleeding is the apex of those concerns. She has failed somewhat to protect him.

Anyway, all of this to say, Cersei loves Jaime. She is just more subtle than him because she knows the risk for their lives and their children. And when she is finally Queen Regnant, when she has somewhat power, she lets go of those fears and let the world knows about them (7x03).

the first character i ever fell in love with: Raine, absolutely. I liked several characters before but Raine's just my first and all time love <3

a character that i used to love/like, but now do not: Probably Kratos. While I still don't hate him, I just don't care about him anymore.

prettiest character: I think Pronyma has to take this one. I HATE her bodysuit but the rest of her design is just AMAZING and I LOVE it.

my most hated character character I'm most meh about: I don't hate on characters, but I seriously don't care about Regal much. His story/character never really grabbed me.

my OTP: Zelaine (Zelos/Raine). I will go down with this nutshell of a ship. I've ranted to everyone who would listen about why I love it so much (their similar backstories resulting in totally different characters, their overall dynamic and my headcanon that Raine would be the only one who would be able to tame him long-term, the potential for so many dynamics), but I spare you the manifest lol. I've shipped this for 15 years and I'll continue to do so.

my NOTP: As long as the story is convincing, I'm okay with pretty much every ship. I'm mostly bored with the 'official' ships (Colloyd, Sheelos, Regal/Raine, Genis/Presea), so you won't see me make content for them aside from probably using them to get to a rarepair.

favorite episode skit: I think it's either "Nicknames" or "Better to be Deceived" <3 I like them both very much.

saddest death: While satisfying, I think Magnius is a very sad death. He was religiously following orders and backstabbed by someone he trusted.

favorite season scene: I LOVE the scene at Altamira where Zelos goes "Uh sorry? Can we talk about RAINE STILL FUCKING MISSING??" because it does show his character development very well (from being a racist PoS to actually caring about people. Also the fact he's the only one bringing her up)

least favorite season scene: Not actually a scene, but I absolutely hate we don't get a genuine interaction with Mithos/Raine. I've ranted a lot about how it's a HUGE missed opportunity since Raine is quite similar to Martel.

Sorry for not being more clear, there was an ex who was her co star in umbrella academy. Apparently when S4 came out he made a tik tok making fun of the fact that she died and she just made a TikTok today calling him out. She apparently dated him for 2 months when she was just a teenager. He has a history of gross misogynistic posts. I was confused when I saw it bc I thought he was Richard at first bc to me they look similar!

I love the idea of Jacob and John having that light teasing aspect to their relationship and Jacob just being a typical big brother gives me life 😭

I knowwwwwwwwwwwwww, just picture it!! Jacob does what he can to put a smile on John’s face, and they have all these little in jokes and dry banter goin’. John’s so delighted that Jacob is humoring him that he can’t help but try to catch up. Joseph’s so self-contained and withdrawn, and what he offers his brothers is different than any typical family camaraderie--which honestly makes me a little sad: Joseph deserves to have that in his life, but his fatal flaw is that he seems doomed to hurt the people he loves the most with his bad decisions.

John’s in awe of Joseph and wants to impress him, much to his detriment. But I can see John admiring Jacob and wanting to be friends with him, instead of live up to some standard he thinks Jacob sets.
