RB Headcanon

The Rescue Bots had to completely rewrite the Rescue Training Manuals before opening their Academy, because not only did they now have to include training and procedure for Earth/Human-based rescues, but they also realized that some of the old methods and techniques from their training days were severely antiquated.

Blades is going through the old rescue manuals and finding that most cures for various ailments were the cybertronian equivalent of "Shove a spoonful of cocaine down their throat and send them on their way-"

Ever realize Cybertronian are kinda obsessed with humans like in prime they made like two museums dedicated to earth and humans to.the point where Armstrong from robots in disguised knew about them but I find it funny that it's mostly one sided I just imagine Cybertronians hiding behind a tree watching a random human like:

Bumblebee and the team transformed to their altmode and near a tree/forest, observing humans as bumblebee tried to educate them about humans since they are now ambassadors for cybertron

Bumblebee: "Notice how the humans in the park like to lay fabrics below them while having whats called a "picnic basket" to hold their foods"

Strongarm: "Sir, that's amazing. You know so much about humans.You are like a human whisperer. "

* After a while, they left some trash, and grimlock just takes the trash for some reason and shows it to fix it and the gang*

I wanted to request a fanfic (or a headcannon, whatever is best for you) with the pairing “Blades X Human!GN!Reader” where Blades has a massive crush on Dani's best friend, the reader.

The reader is basically this sweet and motherly teacher that starts to care about Blades after seeing the bots tease him about something when they came over to visit their old classmate, Dani. They defend him, they care about Blades and don't even mind his occasional stutter while he's talking to them and we all know what might happen in the future...

The sound of chatter slowly got closer to the Firehouse, the sound of Dani and another person. You both entered the firehouse garage with a smile and the Rescue Bots were surprised. You were a very close friend of Dani’s, being her primary school best friend and her present best friend. You two got along really well and Dani did enjoy talking about you quite a bit, you were such a kind and motherly person who always had sympathy for others.

When it got obvious that the Rescue bots were confused and staring, Dani decided to introduce you to them.

“Oh, right. (Y/N), these are the rescue bots! Heatwave, Chase, Boulder and Blades, my partner. I’m sure you’ve seen them during savings, pretty sick allies. Team, this is (Y/N)”

“Oh, adorable! They look so cool! It’s so nice to meet you 4.”

”… Hey.”

”Greetings, (Y/N).”

“It’s nice to meet you too!”

“H- huh? OH! H- hey..?”

You chuckled as Blades looked away from the TV, he looked like a child hypnotised by the internet. Blade’s face turned into a light baby blue and Heatwave nudged him from behind.

”Heh, the internet keeping you busy, kid?”

”Actually it is! It’s very entertaining!”

You saw right through Blade’s weak ego and embarrassment, so you decided to stand up for the poor fella.

”Hey now, Heatwave, be nice… Blades was merely just enjoying his hobby, I heard from Kade that you like to do martial arts. Blades goes onto the internet and you do martial arts. Do you understand?”

“… Understood.”

”Alright, why don’t you apologise to Blades now?”

“Right, uh… Sorry, Blades.”

Blades’s light blue hue only grew bigger, you were so kind to him and you two just met. He just nodded as an acceptance to Heatwave’s apology and looked at you with a look that screamed ‘You're too kind’. You looked up to him and patted his leg as a sign of comfort and trust.

You started to come by more often, you wanted to help the Rescue bots to get more used to society. Since you were a teacher, you had a lot of patience. You saw it as a silly activity to teach massive sentient robots simple human mannerisms.

Suddenly strange feelings grew in Blades. It felt like there were daisies that were blooming to be spread around, showing how bright and beautiful it is to the world. He felt the radiance of the colours and scent spread across his chassis and it tickled a bit. Is it love? Is this the true feeling you get? The needy feeling of want and affection? It felt like a melodramatic romance, the stupidly entertaining ones that Dani recommended.

A few months pass and noticeably Blades still has feelings. He didn’t understand why due to the lack of romance he experiences. There's always a small image of you living rent free in his processor. He always thought romance, kisses and cuddles were kinda strange but now he understands and he is obsessed.

“Dani, so you know those ‘feelings’ you have with Taylor?”

“Yes- Are you gonna question me again?”

“Not this time… Well- just one question. What if you’ve liked somebody for a few months but you're too scared to tell them your true feelings?”

“Wait, you actually like somebody? Whoo is ittt?”

“It’s nothing important! Just answer my question.”

“… Is it (Y/N)?”

“… How’d you know?”

“Blades, I’m your partner and it’s pretty noticeable. Ever since they defended you, you’ve been talking to them more often to the point it’s desperate. It’s like you with Bee.”

“Bumblebee and I are just best friends! Please don’t tell her…”

“Alright, alright.”

After a week, she felt like she needed to tell you. It’s because Blades can’t keep it in forever but he is too scared to speak up to you. She went to her room and grabbed the phone, ringing for you while getting onto her bed.

“Hey Dan! How’s it going, girl?”

“Hey, (Y/N). I got some crazy stuff to tell you, dude.”

“Oh? Go for it.”

“So you know Blades? Turns out he’s been in love with you for the past few months.”

“I- Sorry, I didn’t get that. Blades actually likes me?”

“Yeah, it’s crazy!”

“I mean I don’t mind really. He can be cute and… Look, would you mind if we go further?”

“Depends… Go for it!”

You shut the phone off and exit your house, walking to the firehouse with a faint smile. You lightly knock on the garage door with your usual pattern, letting the Rescue Bots know it's you. Blades opened the garage door and gave a massive smile, waving.

“Hiii (Y/N)! You came earlier than usual, you wanna go for a flight rideee?”

“Hm.. Of course, if that’s what you want then I’m okay with it too.”

Blades quickly transformed and opened his hood, you hopped on as Dani came to the garage and watched you and Blades leave. Dani just smirked and went back to her room.

“So, Blades, do you have something to tell me?”

“What? No?”

“Oh, well Blades, somebody told me that you have some certain feelings for me. I’m okay if this is the case… Blades?”

Blades silence told you all you needed to know, even his head-screen showed his flustered face. You giggled and traced a finger across the control pad, trying to show him your comfort. Blades faintly pouted. You leaned to the screen and smiled.

“I wouldn’t mind if you want to take it further, your choice.”

You know, I wanted to keep this blog all about my personal projects. But my ADD has me jumping from Fandoms to personal projects to just random stuff that just materialize in my head. So I just decided to give up trying. I have so many ideas I need to get out so.

Rescue bots headcanons/ideas/origins no one ask about

(Don't judge me, it is my favorite comfort show)

RAISE/CAST/FRAME TYPE/RANDOM STUFF

CHASE

He was raise in velocitron

Since velocitron is a Transformers colony in which everything is decided by racing. The idea of Chase being born there is very interesting to me.

He was definitely born with a land base frame, small to medium size and thin plating. like most of the bots in velocitron. I think this because it's shown multiple times in the show that he is fast and probably light to be able to pull some acrobatics like this

He was recruited to be a police bot by the The Rescue Bots council due to his frame type and abilities to be a high Chase pursuer.

I like to think he was born a middle-class bot. Since he grew up in an environment that lacks rules and order, he would have a harsh reality check when he joined the academy, but grew up to love the security the laws and order give him. Not needing to be the fastest bot to be able to be taken seriously gave him a comfort he never knew he needed. That's why he is such a stuck-up for the rules. He wants everyone to feel as safe as he did when he joined the academy.

HEATWAVE

Raise in cybertron

I like to believe he was raised at iacon city since it was the autobot capital. I like to believe he was a middle-class autobot that grew up surrounded by autobots soldiers, and that's where his eagerness to join Optimus team sparks from. A sense of duty due to growing up has an autobot but never officially being one.

And tell me he is nothing but a large frame bot. Though I'm of the belief he is a thin plating natural born multi-changer. Why?

He is the only one shown to have significant damage from something relatively minor for an autobot. (Like boulder also got some rocks on him, yet he has no show damage) So he is a big frame with tin plating.

Has for a natural born multi-changer? Well, I like to believe all rescuebots are built to be multi-changers, but some need "operations" to make this possible. But Heatwave was born with that ability, and probably being a middle to high class cybertronian, he was a precious rarity. That's also the reason why he wasn't allowed to join the autobots. His ability is way more useful and valuable to the rescue bots, so he was kind of socially pressured into that line of work.

BOULDER

Raise in Cybertron

I personally believe he was raised in one of the many slave cities, probably one of the "better" ones.

Look at him

He is nothing but a large land base frame with thick platting.

He was raised as a slave miner/constructer. His job was basically mine metal one day, built/repair buildings another. his mining facility was close to a rescue bot base and one day he was spotted by a rescue bot instructor and he saw potential in Boulder has a rescuer due to his frame type and his unbreakable morals and optimism.

BLADES

Raise in cybertron

He was raised in a settlement of land base frame bots, but they were close to the city of Vos.

He was born as a middle-high class land base frame bot with thick platting. But when he was close to maturity the city of vos decided to "help" the neigbor settlements by "offering" to "fix" any land base frame into a flyer. So blades was turn into a flight base frame.

He was traumatized, and It was painful just remembering what they did to him. So when he was offer a place at a rescue bot academy he jump to the idea, half because he genuinely wants to save bots and half with the hopes of getting a multi-changer frame that would let him get a land base form.

And that's it, I started writing this in my night shift so I might have been a bit sleep deprived so apologies if it's hard to make sence of my rambling, I tried to edit this has best has I can.

I will 100% elaborate more in a different post about the specific details I have for each bot pass in cybertron. I use terms I have hear before in the Fandom but I have give them my small little twist that I will share in another post (example what I mean with Frame and Platting) this is just an appetizers to satiety my writing need.

Feel free to leave comments/constructive criticism. I would love to see people thoughts in my ideas. I'm gonna try to keep posting more consistently. But don't expect this to be a purely transformers blog, I probably write for other fandoms, but I'm gonna pin a post later so people know what to expect.

Me automatically rejecting canon and giving all the rescuebots unique Cybertronian root modes and altmodes because i can and because that Blades having wheels comment. This also goes with when i think they were frozen in the war (closer to the middle, while Bumblebee was created juuust as Cybertron died) and I'm just gonna slip in the headcanon that their colors were different when they were on Cybertron, because transformers and humans are differently wired and our heads have different "Pay Attention Motherfuckers" colors

I headcanon that Blades's altmode, as mentioned above, was ground based. I see him as being sort of a combination of a racer and an emergency vehicle, considering his training and his earth altmode. He's the EMT of the group.

I think Boulder's altmode was closer to a midsized all terrain vehicle, a lot less strictly construction based as his earth alt is. From what I can see, he's the engineer of the group. He evaluates infrastructure and helps fix what needs fixed— whether it's damage or faulty designs.

In my head I keep returning to the idea that Heatwave's altmode and root was bigger on Cybertron than it is on earth, but i think that's in general the fact that wow is he the firetruck equivalent of insular dwarfism. He's definitely got experience with dealing with fire, but in my head i think his original job also dealt with hazardous chemical leaks and collapses.

Chase is a difficult mark because based on his vibes i think his altmode was pretty similar— just the most average civilian vehicle mod possible. But also because in the tfwiki it says these guys are essentially search and rescue, and considering how the topic of rescuebots is treated it seems like the rest of them were gone-inated either pretty early in the war or were themselves a prototype project. I honestly do not see where the cop angle fits into the environment we've been given.

But hey! I accept being wrong on exactly every angle! And the altmode headcanons are very likely probably not canon, especially since how Cybertron is depicted in rescuebots is pretty damn different than it is in the rest of aligned (honestly it's pretty different than how it's depicted in RBA, but that can be chalked up to the idea of things being different ever since Cybertron was reborn)

READER INTRO

You were one of the only people who knew about the academy, being around the same age as the students. Due to this, it was easy for you to get along with them, though they did not have good human social skills. You loved make-beliefs and fairy tales, or just things that are considered a fantasy or delusional. You would help the students with both socialising and more physical situations. You were chosen by Heatwave to be Medix’s partner, you didn’t have the biggest liking to him but you were okay with him.

HEADCANONS

- When you first truly got close and had a conversation with Medix, it felt so wrong. He was seemingly shy and grumpy like his uncle and it confused you. Why did Heatwave pair you and Medix, you two obviously wouldn’t get along, right?

- You started making fun of him quite a lot after you got comfortable, calling him a nerd and reminding him of how annoying he is. When he says something is ‘illogical’ or ‘logical’, you’d just roll your eyes and shrug. It’s not that you hated him, but you did think that he was too strict. You mentioned how he took things too literally, seriously or just generally too far.

- You get a bit too close to Medix sometimes, and same way with him. You and Medix have a type of bond that is seemingly embarrassing to both of you. You guys enjoy each other’s company but it is too awkward to admit it.

- When Medix is studying, sometimes he’d let you sit beside him as he worked. You weren’t annoying so he didn’t mind. You would follow suit when he’s reading and most of the words don’t make sense to you. Everything seems like a jumble and mumble so you would struggle a lot. Medix does get annoyed if you do ask questions about vocabulary that is merely simplistic to him. (He is still willing to help you).

- Most of the stuff he reads are non-fictional and all about studies on medical topics and science. You with your fantasies definitely did not understand a lot so there was a barrier between interests. When you talk about your little made-up stories, Medix is unable to get a single word through his head when you do this, he always questions the made-up parts, especially when it comes to magic spells and strange sayings. You are very willing to tell him the answer and explain how magic works.

- When you find out Medix’s music taste, that’s when you two get really close. You both enjoy the same band and you both love to rock out to it. Blasting it to full volume and dancing to it with no shame. Though Medix wears out quickly when dancing, you like to grab his hands and start dancing for him, trying to get him back into the rhythm.

- When training, you see Medix on the sidelines way more often than he should be. Because of this, you try to convince Medix to do more than what he does now. If you are brought with him to emergencies, you force him to do physical tasks that are upon his feat. It may mess up a mission or two but it always works out in the end.

- Medix sometimes leaves animals with you in his quarters on accident and it happens a worrying amount of time. You know that Medix enjoys the company of animals more than humans and cybertrons but it gets annoying having to take care of the animals he brings in. You aren’t a big animal person so it takes a while to adjust with Medix’s habits. When you found out about his love for animals, he was hesitant to admit it.

- When something makes you emotional and Medix says it’s ‘illogical’, you distance yourself away from him so fast. You absolutely despise insensitive people and Medix WAS one of them. It always bothered you becauses you personally thought that emotion before logic was the only ‘logical’ answer. When you found out that he had a heart for animal-like sentients, you then realised he’s more introverted than careless.

- You were the type to take things to your advantage, so the second you found out that Medix takes things too literally, that was your ticket for free fun. You would say things like ‘I was made when the stock flew me over here, dude.’ And Medix is always baffled. His dumb reactions are always so funny to you.

Cybertronian Jealousy

I noticed that in many franchises that cybertronians tend to get jealous when it comes to their human companions in rescue bots, there are two bots out of four who got jealous of their human companions going on other vehicles for a form of transport usually either staring or getting agitated at the vehicles or cybertronian like with blades when he was agitated and insecure about when bumblebee and Dani was arranged for the partnership since Dani could not ride on her helicopter blades got agitated and started to act out also on another note chase was staring at the old jalopy that Charlie rode and Chase was mad he did not understand why Charlie like that old car when he had him and there I so many more in other franchises 

which makes me think that cybertronians are incredibly loyal and so when a human shows attention to other things that are not theirs they suddenly feel threatened and become jealous that taking their companion's attention away from them of course it's by in their nature that they can overcome as we see with Optimus but when they are young they tend to act more on their nature which causes the humans 

to deal with their cybertronian friends staring at their car in a certain way.
