Ok, so not even getting into everything insane about the whole 'forcemasc is a mockery of forcefem 'thing, I just want to address something, using this post, which i think is an interesting example.
So, clearly, this creator is speaking largely about the trans community when referring to the 'queer community', (mentioning t4t, forcemasc/forcefem, and gender affirmation).
Now, this idea that everything in the trans community came from transfems and trans women is pretty popular, and based in the fact that the majority of openly trans people, trans communities, trans people in activism, for much of recorded history were/made up of transfems.
What i struggle with, is the fact that someone can argue 'most openly trans people were transfeminine people', and also not acknowledge that this was... not transmascs choice?
I mean typically speaking, you can't argue 'majority of [community] was defined by, spearheaded by and revolved around [half of community]' and that theres a problem with the less represented, more history wiped, less common [half of the community] building stuff for themselves.
Its... not transmascs fault that they haven't been able to popularise any terms, make their own communities, be present in campaigning, explore their kinks, and set their boundaries until pretty recently*.
You do know thats not their fault right?
I mean transmascs have only recently been able to be openly out at the same 1:1 ratio as transfems*, is it really a surprise that their language developed later, and may be seen to be 'copied' off transfems?
We should be studying the reasons why transmasculine people appear to be one of the most stunted groups in the queer community at having their own spaces, terms, even medical care and representation in the public.
Not blaming them for it.
**Worth noting that this is Western focused. In the rest of the world transmascs still have not reached even close to a 1:1 ratio and still the majority of trans communities outside of the west do not include transmascs/are extremely heavily transfem

"Trans men are men therefore they aren't oppressed!" So close! This is the reason why the distinction between trans men and cis men is so important.
Cis men cannot be oppressed for their gender. They have never been nor, most likely, will they ever be oppressed for that. Since for fucking EVER have they perpetuated the idea that man = stronger and better and good
Trans men are treated like women in society. Very rarely will they ever truly be treated the same as cis men and its usually only by a small group of people. Even then, it's usually by women who say "kill all men". You know, the people who say the quote above.
But you get the idea, right? Trans men are treated like women in society. Therefore, they are oppressed the same as women are.
By the way, they only ever say that to passing trans men. I don't pass at all, I look like a girl.
Do you think I'm treated like a cis man?

Been on a break due a vagal response and recently had a mental breakdance too, so I drew Crow and Yusei on the new sketchbook a friend of mine gave me as a gift.
I hope y'all doing good and having a beautiful day or night or afternoon (idk it's 10 PM in my country)
Remember to use your binders safely and take breaks sometimes if you don't wanna end up like me
Love y'all ❤️

Those milk cookies are really good btw I'm pretty sure Yusei would love them.

Being Trans and not experiencing gender dysphoria that strongly has got to be one of the weirdest experiences I've ever felt.
Do I know I'm a man? Yes.
Does not having a you know what downstairs feel like not having on a ring you've had on for years? Yes, I feel like I'm missing something.
Do I wish I had a flat chest above all else? Yes
But it's not debilitating. I'm just there. My body is just existing. is it kind of shitty I don't have a flat chest and a you know what? Yeah, but my brain isn't as concerned about it as other Trans men are and I think that's one of the reasons it's like taken me so long to come out and validate myself as a Trans man.
Like when I was introduced to the concept of being transgender, gender dysphoria was like presented as almost a requirement for being Trans, if that makes sense. Like I thought because I didn't feel gender dysphoria (at least not much, I felt gender euphoria more) that I somehow wasn't Trans enough.
Does anyone else thats Trans (man or otherwise) also feel this way? Genuine question

anyway engineers design is absolutely taking inspiration from Kid Cosmic, the best animated tv show ever,, and one my partners said that the that colander soldier is wearing reminds them of the Flying Spaghetti Monster religion,,,, , so do with that what you will. Demomans name is a reference to the film The Sea Beast, whose main character is also a black orphaned Scottish girl lmao. Go check all of the things out, ,, if you wanna. (Using my evil autism powers to make you watch kid cosmic oooooOoOooOoooOo)

Does anyone relate to:
using he/they or they/he pronouns as a trans masc person — but people complain about using either of them, because “it’s not grammatically correct” or, just plain ol’ transphobia?
I present masculine but prefer using They. I added on He for (older) folks who have a hard time (aka are refusing to) begin using singular They for individuals. I added He for them so they’d at least not call me a girl, but they still don’t use He despite it fitting in the binary they use regularly!
Not to mention the refusal to use my chosen name. Like, respect ONE aspect about the person at least!!

Excerpt from the Hannibal/Will t4t forcemasc project that I started writing a few weeks ago / that brought me back to tumblr. H is late twenties, W is early twenties, W thinks H is cis but he is not (gaslight gatekeep girlboss).
He swallows his PBR. “I’m not a good transsexual anyways. I’m always forgetting to do my shot. People probably think I’m not dedicated to the whole project.”
“And why do you think that is?” H asks. “If it’s not that you’re not ‘dedicated’, as you say.”
W’s eyes flicker to look at him, shining dark in the pink light. “It’s a daily process. A kind of coping with- grief. Grief at the kind of life I’ll never have, like those guys are living, like you’ve seen in every movie and every book about gay men in my life.” He looks up at the group of cisfags at the bar. Two of them, a couple, look like brothers, one slightly squarer than the other. The same olive skin and bleached hair. He’s running his hand over the larger one’s chest, smiling. H wants to see what it’d be like to cut into that mouth. He wants W to watch him.
“They’re stinking with purity.” W says, his tone low with jealousy and, H notes with satisfaction, something more base. “Rank with unconscious belief.” He sips his beer again, calms himself. “Sometimes I can barely pull myself out of it.” He continues, “the process of denying to myself that I still have this kind of body. It was easier in high school, then I just, uh, wasn’t present.”
“Why do you see it as a denial?” H asks, honestly. “Why shouldn’t your body be just as naturally masculine as those?” He inclines his head towards the bar.
W shakes his head. His messy hair is halo’d around his head, his uneven shadow emphasizing his jaw. “It’s just how the world works. You wouldn’t know.”
A beat of silence. H asks, “And do all of us live in the same world?”
W gives him a suspicious look, his mouth twisting, brow furrowed.
“When I look at you, I see the potential for something vastly larger and more complex than anything contained in the daydreams of a few New Jersey twinks.”
W snorts. “The fuck is that supposed to mean? You changed your mind about diagnosing me, Doctor Lecter? Gonna tell me how I’m depressed and uhh, bipolar, and I need to go talk to an old hippie lady on the Upper East Side an hour a week?”
H doesn’t take the bait. “No. I’m proposing that I can help you. If you ask me to.”
H’s proposal works like this:
H will do W’s shot for him.
H will teach him basic exercises, to be carried out daily. He will film this, or do it in front of him.
W will use language for his body that doesn’t harm him.
W will reflect on what he might change or advance about his transition.
W’s orgasms will be at H’s mercy, he will not touch himself without permission, and H will administer physical punishments for infractions and oversights. W looks at him incredulously, but there’s a telltale excitement in his eyes. The boy’s had a dom before, but not like this. “You are doing violence to yourself when you deny your manhood, W. I propose we use violence for other purposes.”
H traces his long fingers up W’s thigh. “And then there are the means of influence other than violence.”
“Sugar to help the medicine go down.” W says, sounding less comfortably jaded than he wants.
“If you must.” H, his arm around him now, tugs at his hair. “And we’ll cut this, I think. For now.”
“You’re adding more conditions.” W points out.
“Our plan will evolve as you yourself evolve.” H says.
“And the same rules stand? Colors, safeword, et al?”
“Certainly.” H traces across W’s scalp, pushing the hair back from his brow. “This isn’t a contract, W. It’s a promise.”
