i have thoughts on the possibilities of eli's origin

derek has a type. eli hale's biological mother apparently looks like stiles and paige. which informed which jeff? it's all incriminating no matter how you slice it.

the nemeton created baby eli as an apology for derek's shitty life, floated him down the telluric current in a bassinet like he was baby moses with a note that said "i love you but get it together my guy. xoxoxox"

So there was some discussion a while back about about the ongoing 'Aisha has a dick' joke and how with Colin's daughter being a trans woman it's now being more recognised as a transphobic joke.

Colin has spoken a few times in interviews about a message he received from a trans man who runs improv classes who congratulated him on his daughter, thanking him for his support for her, but asking him to be mindful of transphobic and homophobic jokes they've done on the show in the past.

With that in the back of my mind, I was watching a S20 episode that was filmed post pandemic (2022?) where Aisha is being a prop in the scene and this sort of joke came up again with Aisha starting it, Colin looking distasteful about it, but Ryan this time was the one to divert it into something else. I get the feeling Aisha may have realised pretty much immediate it wasn't a good "joke" to bring back, but thankfully things continued on smoothly. She was looking at Colin when the camera cuts back so maybe there was unseen communication or more dialogue removed in the edit.

Maybe I'm looking too deeply at it I don't know. Plus I noticed a new episode using footage from a good 6+ years ago featured an 'Aisha dick joke' (C'mon show producers! FFS!) so yeah, can this "joke" just die now?

scilesweek23: Day 2, Spring Summer [hope y’all don’t mind the slight prompt change]

“Do you think she’s having fun?” Stiles questions as he sits beside Malia on the blanket Kira brought with them so they wouldn’t have to get their towels covered in sand.

“Yeah, she looked really happy today.” They both look out to where Kira and Scott are picking up shells from the water, it’s low tide now, the sun will set soon.

They’ve been at the beach all day and while Stiles knows Scott’s enjoyed the outing with their friends, he still worries that she might be uncomfortable being out in public in a two-piece. They talked about it briefly last night in their hotel room and Scott assured Stiles she would be fine and that she has an extra pair of clothes packed away in her bag already if she needs it, Stiles thinks he might be more anxious about it than she is.

“Her and Kira have so much energy.” Much more than Stiles ever expected the two to have, they’ve been nonstop since they arrived. Between swimming, racing along the shoreline, seeing who can hold their breath the longest, collecting rocks and shells to give to their partners— Stiles would assume both girls would be dead on their feet by now.

“It’s good for them to get it out and I think it’s kept Scott occupied, y’know so she doesn’t have time to think about anything.” What the ‘anything’ is goes unspoken, it’s been a hard year for Scott, not just because of her transition progressing but also because of the supernatural chaos that’s been going on since her and Stiles moved back to Beacon Hills. Stiles has been doing his best to be supportive and encourage her to take breaks from things as she can overwork herself like no other, but he still feels like he’s not doing enough.

“She’s so driven and beautiful and just- perfect. I wish she could see herself like I do.” Stiles sighs, eyes closing as Malia comes to wrap her arms around his shoulders.

“I think we all wish that. But she’s doing better and you’re an amazing boyfriend, seriously you two gross me out with your lovey dovey romance.” A smile creeps onto Stiles’ face, him and Scott are more prone to pda than Kira and Malia.

“Thanks Mals. You think we can bribe them to leave with dinner?” Her lips twist as she looks back over to Kira and Scott, both girls are squealing and splashing each other with kicks at the low water.

“Doubtful. We can try though.”
