The news is so hurtful and terrifying I mostly avoid it now. My main activism is calling my reps and setting up a recurring donation to a trans rights org. I’m still looking if anyone has any good recs. (Am I so overwhelmed I just make one-time donations and never set-up a recurring one anywhere?! Who can say)

Some good things this week:

I made a batch of brown butter chocolate chip cookie batter last week and I’m baking them off a few at a time.

I took the bus to Trader Joe’s yesterday and managed to take it both ways with the same cute family. They got ice cream on the way back.

I also said hello to the fruit stand guy and bought some plums and peaches.

I am holding the memory of seeing Hadestown this week.

This is because a common antiandrogen for transwomen has a side effect of lowering sodium, thus making them crave salty things such as pickles.

I know about the salt thing but what truly perplexes me is the part about pickles specifically. I have never once heard of anyone's go-to snack for a salt craving be a pickle. Kosmos Day traditions + truth

A Kosmos Day tree is a bright orange with yellow and golden garland, with ornaments being ruby coloured, pink sapphire coloured, peridot coloured, or citrine coloured!

Though pale cyan is another popular ornament colour but normally the tree topped is a pale cyan heart meant to represent the Kosmos himself!

As although the Kosmos is this giant celestial being in the middle of the Universe it is alive and is the heart and soul of the Universe!

Nibirians of all advanced species give and get gifts too.

Candy canes are mainly orange, yellow, and white with the flavour being orange, lemon, and coconut!

Thought spearmint and peppermint candy canes are grown and do exist!

Alongside many other candy canes though the orange, yellow, and white ones are most popular and traditional!
