1am thoughts but i think the reason naoto and naoto being trans is so important to me as a trans man is because you rarely see transmasc representation in that way, and yes while its not technically canon and i absolutely hate the way his story gets handled and him basically being forced to accept that he cannot change his gender, the way his dysphoria is depicted in multiple situations is extremely relatable and the way he struggles with internalised transphobia is extremely real and it just breaks my heart its never going to properly be canon or taken seriously. like its very obvious to me he is a trans guy no matter what anyone says and im not gonna change my opinion on that because the representation is important to me
