So Missouri is introducing a bill that would make it so teachers would be charged as sex offenders and put on the registry for "contributing to social transition" of trans youth.
This is so completely fucked up. A teacher can be charged with a class E felony for using they/them pronouns.
They’re making aiding trans people punishable by law. They’re making it illegal to help trans people. They want to make it impossible to support us. They want to cut us off from all resources in society. They want to starve us out.
You can read the whole bill here: https://documents.house.mo.gov/billtracking/bills241/hlrbillspdf/5874H.01I.pdf

🚨 My article finally came out in the McGill Law Journal, volume 69. It has been angering right-wing pundits since it was accepted, so you know it’s juicy!
In the article, which is full of sex jokes, I flesh out genderfucking as a legal methodology that emphasizes the messiness of gender life.
Writing the paper with quite possibly the most sex jokes in legal history for volume 69 was… noice.

A TIM couldn't accept that his wife was not going to go along with his delusion and turned to the family annihilator route, a route associated with violent narcissistic men.
By Nuria Muíña García July 11, 2024
A man in Spain is alleged to have poisoned his wife and child in the midst of divorce proceedings following his declaration of a transgender identity. The court has now imposed a restraining order on the man, who has not been named, while the police investigation is ongoing.
According to Diario de Sevilla, the couple were engaged in divorce proceedings but were still sharing a home in Dos Hermanas when the suspected poisoning took place. While it has not been definitively confirmed, the motive for the divorce appears to have been the man’s decision to identify as a “woman.”
Shortly after choosing to split, the woman, whose identity has also been kept anonymous, began experiencing severe and sudden-onset stomach pain. She sought medical care and was told she was exhibiting symptoms of chemical consumption. Police quickly became involved, and an investigation was launched into what was then identified as a suspected poisoning.
Disturbingly, the couple’s 5-year-old son may have also been the victim of an attempted poisoning by his father. Medical tests are being conducted in order to verify whether he had been targeted as well.
Prosecutors speculated that the woman was poisoned by her husband using household pool care products that were mixed into her food. In response to the hypothesis, the court issued a warrant of entry to the couple’s home to gather evidence.
Yesterday, a Dos Hermanas court responsible for prosecuting violence against women heard statements from both the husband and wife, after which it decided to place a restraining order on the man. He is now required to stay 300 meters away from his wife, and has been denied contact to his son.
At the time of this writing, no arrests have been made, but police investigations are ongoing.
The case has sparked particular concern amongst Spanish women’s rights advocates, as they have noted that Spain’s exceptionally strict gender identity laws mean that, if prosecuted, the man will be treated as a “female” by the courts.
Tumblr media
Further, crimes marked as “gender-based violence” in Spain result in female victims being provided with specific legal protections and resources to assist them in the aftermath of the crime. These resources may include assistance with divorce proceedings, child custody, and housing arrangements.
If the man’s legal gender marker change was completed before the poisoning took place, it would mean that the victim would have no access to these resources because her aggressor was a “woman.”
“Gender-based violence” is also considered an aggravating factor in violent crimes, and may result in a harsher sentencing.
The situation has lead some women’s rights advocates to speculate that the man had planned to murder his wife, but that he had changed his legal gender marker just before doing so to avoid “gender-based violence” being used as an aggravating factor in the event he was caught.
Tumblr media
If the man is prosecuted, this would not be the first time in Spain that a male accused of domestic violence against his female partner was prosecuted as a “woman.”
As previously reported by Reduxx, a man in Catalonia who beat his female partner for opposing his transition avoided charges of gender-based violence by legally changing his identification to “female” and adopting a woman’s name just prior to being prosecuted.
The couple, who were in their 60s, had been together for 11 years, but after the man began expressing an interest in crossdressing, the woman asked to break off their intimate relationship. He became violent towards her, and began sexually and physically abusing her in retaliation for her refusal to participate in his fetish.
After seeking help with the police, the woman discovered he had already changed his legal sex marker, and thus she would not be provided any protections for female victims of male crime.
Tumblr media
At the time, Reduxx spoke with Núria González López, the legal advisor for the victim, who explained that “the abuser’s change of his legal sex means that, in the eyes of the law, the female in the situation is not at risk. This means the victim has fewer rights.”
In February of 2023, the Spanish government enacted what is colloquially known as the “Trans Law,” which instituted a “no questions asked” policy for those who declared they were transgender. The law also made it significantly easier for individuals to change their name and legal sex, hastening the process for applicants and removing any medical requirements.
Since the institution of the law, Spain has seen concerns right about the rise in “trans fraud,” in which males change their legal sex marker simply to gain legal or professional benefits.
In Ceuta, an extremely small Spanish autonomous city located in the North African coast, 37 male civil servants are known to have changed their registered sex in order to obtain benefits assigned to women.
Tumblr media
Most of the men are members of the Army, the National Police, the Civil Guard, or the Local Police of the city. The men all share a pattern in that they change their legal sex marker while keeping their “male” name.

Name Change Episode IV: A New Law
So as of today, Germany's got a new law on the books! It'll take effect in November of this year. The so called "Selbstbestimmungsgesetz" (literally "self-determination law") will allow trans people to change their legal names and gender much, much more easily.
Here's a "quick" summary of my understanding:
There is a 3 month waiting period between your request for a name/gender change and the change actually taking effect. (As such, you may already file your request in August to have it kick in simultaneously with the new law.)
Requests must be accompanied by a statement that you understand what you are doing and what consequences this will have.
Kids have to be in agreement with their parents to file a request. If they disagree, a court will decide whether the request can be granted or not.
Adults cannot change their name and gender again for a year. Children are exempt from this waiting period.
If you revert to a previous gender, you must also revert to the names you had at this point. (ie, if I were to detransition, I would return to my birth name. I would not be allowed to choose a new female name.)
You may request new versions of all sorts of official documents to have them updated with your new name and gender, obviously at your own cost. The old versions will remain on file where applicable.
Being nonbinary does not exclude you from laws using gendered language (ie "no man or woman shall commit arson" would still apply if you are legally neither)
Revealing or uncovering a person's former gender without their permission is punishable by fine (although you can probably only take legal steps if this was done with intent to harm you).
If you are legally nonbinary, you may request a gendered passport under a few restrictions (This is necessary if you are travelling to countries where only binary identities are acknowledged and/or you might fear prosecution)
The law only covers the legal, bureaucratic aspect of a name and gender change. It does not settle any medical or social aspects. As such, there's quite a few... "shortcomings":
Trans people, or generally gender-nonconforming people, can be barred from gendered spaces at the owner's discretion. (They may or may not have legal options to fight back, but at that point the discrimination already happened)
There is no clear stance on sports. Both inclusion and exclusion seem allowed. (Again, that's not what the law is for, but codifying that exclusion may be allowed is still yucky.)
In case of crisis or war, changes will still be granted, but ignored in regard to the draft etc. Trans women requesting a change during or less than two months before a war would therefore be considered male and drafted.
Overall, it's about five steps forward and one step back, and that's a lot more than we usually get. We can also consider ourselves very lucky that the final version of the law does not include the paragraph in which any name/gender changes were automatically transmitted to law enforcement. You can imagine how that would go.
If I may drop my long form serious tone for a moment:
AAAAAAAAHAKJD OH MY GOD IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED I CAN CHANGE MY NAME THIS YEAR ALREADY HOLY SHIT OH MY GOD HJBSAKJDSADVADAS
Thank you.

🚨 My article on parental rights and ‘pronoun policies’ in Canadian law is now out! 🚨
I argue that they don’t further a pressing and substantial objective, because they either (a) fail to advance parents’ interest in promoting the best interests of their child, or (b) deploy a property-like conception of parental rights that is offensive to a free and democratic society.
I am delighted to see it published with the Alberta Law Review, which is run by our students at UAlberta alongside those at UCalgary.

Transing to compete against women is not for mediocre male athletes now.

Firefighter ‘jumps’ queue in qualifying exams after changing sex to become woman
Firefighter failed examinations as a man but was admitted as a woman
By Graham Keeley in Madrid 11 December 2024
A firefighter has been accused of jumping the queue to qualify by becoming a woman during exams to take advantage of lower pass marks required by female candidates.
Named only as David L Y, the firefighter initially failed to pass the examinations when they were a man but then said they were changing gender. David was later admitted as a woman by Madrid city council.
Lower marks are required for women than men to pass the examinations to become firefighters in Spain because of differing physical strengths between the sexes.
Raul Asenjo, another applicant, initially qualified to become a firefighter, which usually signifies a job for life.
However, when David was moved from place 201 to 101 in the ranking of candidates, it meant Mr Asenjo failed to qualify.
Controversial law ‘exploited by men’
Mr Asenjo has claimed that this was a case of alleged fraud and is considering taking legal action against Madrid council, which is responsible for recruitment of the city’s fire brigade.
He pointed out that before changing sex, David had been part of a WhatsApp group for Men Who Go Their Own Way, an anti-feminist and misogynist group that advocates that men separate themselves from women.
It is the latest case involving Spain’s controversial so-called “Trans Law”, which was passed last year in an initiative pioneered by the far-Left Podemos party, the junior partner in Spain’s Left-wing coalition government.
Under the law, anyone can switch their legal sex denomination without having to justify the change on psychological or lifestyle grounds.
Critics of the law among feminist groups and conservatives have claimed it has been exploited by some men who were accused of violence committed against female partners but changed sex to avoid legal action.
‘Appropriate measures will be taken’
Mr Asenjo claimed he lost out on a chance to become a firefighter once David said they were changing sex, having failed the theory and practical tests as a man.
Mr Asenjo, 21, from Madrid, said in a statement released to Spanish media: “I was candidate 126, the last one in the list to qualify. However, I have been moved to position 127 so out of the running as the result of the allegedly unfair and fraudulent use of the rules by one of the candidates who has been moved from position 201 to 101.
“This candidate has claimed his status as a woman with the sole purpose of benefiting from more flexible rules [for women] and as such they advance 100 people in the selection process.”
A spokesman for Madrid council said it was investigating the case.
He said in a statement: “The authority warned that this situation could occur after the implementation of the Trans Law.
“The investigation may verify that no fraud took place if this person was legally listed as a woman at the start of the process. If this is not the case, then appropriate measures will be taken.”
In August, a Spanish person was accused of switching gender to avoid trial for threatening their former partner.
The victim’s lawyer described the move, which took advantage of the Trans Law, as “fraudulent”.
A court in Seville which specialises in protecting women from male violence said it could not try the individual, who has a previous conviction as a man for threatening his former partner, as they had since changed their sex to female.

Hey guess what! TW: TRANSPHOBIA
My aunt is a terf!
She send my mom a CONSERVATIVE article about the new trans law (Germany) and asked if "this is the right way?" (I'm trans btw)
She said a lot of hurtful things, that I don't wanna say.
She never even asked ME about MY experience. She doesn't even talk to me about it.
But there she is spitting unthruthful things about me, my brother and my friends!
To my mom! She is too much of a coward to say this to ME!

The daily bugle
People deserve to know the truth
Spider-Man, the threat, burns police car. This is your hero?
Tumblr media
In this week's violent demonstration our friendly neighbor Spider-Man appeared against the police force, in turn helping the protesters who were protesting loudly out for a change to the law on trans people.
Among other things, here is a piece of art by Riho, a little-known artist:
-Would you kill for me?
-Do you think that would be because I love you?
-Yes
-I think it takes much longer to live for someone than to kill for someone. People kill for hate, people kill for money, people kill for everything.
<<What is difficult for people is to live...
Live to remember the person you love, travel all the paths with him. Killing is the easy way, killing is easy.
What is difficult is living for that person, finding the difficult path by which you remain united, enduring the urge to kill or kill yourself just to see that person for one more second.
